Our time at Maddison Row South was delightful. Beautiful gowns, and the lovely Michelle was there to guide us every step of the way. What was most impressive was the kindness Michelle showed my daughter on this very important, but a little anxious, day.

This was truly a first class experience. Michelle is incredibly knowledgeable about the designers and dresses and she has a wonderful eye for what really works best for your body type and shape. The dress selection was expansive and varied and the service was phenomenal. Kudos to you for making my experience fun, educational, and productive, despite this crazy pandemic!

I’m going to be honest. This is the first review I have ever written ever. And the reason I care so much to share my experience, is because it was nothing but first class and I feel blessed and thankful that I went to Maddison Row South and had the amazing Michelle that so looked after me. The gown was magnificent. The care and amount of detail after purchase was beyond amazing. Every little aspect was always taken care of. And the beautiful little gift I still have in our living room. It is worth every penny. And i am ever grateful for them!!

I went to 5 different bridal salons both in Dallas, TX and Charleston. I clearly saved the best for last! Michelle was fabulous to work with and made a great experience for my family and friends with me as well. She pulled only 5 dresses and I found the one from those! Not only that she made the experience of living out of town super easy. Maddison Row worked with my timeline to get fittings and alterations done when I was back in town for other planning to-dos and also made my rush order veil “no big deal” and took care of it seamlessly! It was the best experience I had dress shopping and I wouldn’t have changed a thing! XO!!

As soon as I walked into Maddison Row South, I knew I’d find the dress of my dreams. As you walk through the garden and open that tiny door you are greeted by the most welcoming and lovely woman, Michelle. Michelle is so sweet and truly helps guide you through this special process. She really listened to me and what I was looking for and helped suggest dresses that I wouldn’t have immediately pulled from the rack. She is truly the best - I am so glad I found this place and the dress of my dreams. The assortment definitely has ranges- but if you’re looking for a sweet and southern vibe- look no further. I had been dreaming of shopping at Maddison Row for at least 5 years (well before I found my fiancé) and when it came time to go dress shopping my sister advised that it had to remain on the list of go to places. Lindsey was amazing to work with she was extremely respectful, patient, and nice to me and my group. She listened and understood what I was looking for. She was also really great about keeping my budget in mind through the entire process. I would definitely recommend brides to work with Lindsey to see if Maddison Row South has their dream gown.

Michelle is absolutely wonderful! She truly loves her job and is great at it. She was such a pleasure to work with. I live in Delaware, so a lot of our communication was done over the phone or email. She responds immediately and made sure everything was taken care of in time for my wedding day. Her style and taste are impeccable, which she uses to help make her brides look come together perfectly.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! My experience with Maddison Row was absolutely incredible. Their dresses are gorgeous, and Lindsey is so sweet and knowledgeable. I picked up my gorgeous dress and veil steamed to perfection, and after my wedding, I dropped it back off and they sent it off to New York to be cleaned and preserved. The store is dreamy and beautiful- its everything I ever pictured in a bridal shop! Make an appointment at Maddison Row- they are the best in Charleston!

My experience with Emily at Southern Protocol Bridal was heaven. Emily is 5 star ++. I was nervous about the experience because I am not a fan of trying on clothes in general much less big beautiful wedding dresses. Emily knew just what would fit my body style and was not pretentious or opinionated. She very kind and respectfully gave her opinion when asked. She was quick, efficient and knew how to adjust the dresses in order to show the best fit on my body, as well as, beading or belting additions. Southern Bridal Protocol offers private appointments so it was just my best friend and myself in the showroom. Emily is a true professional! There were no distractions and best of all, I found my dream dress!

Michelle Miller is so sweet and well-versed in wedding gowns. Her attention to detail can be seen the moment you step foot in the store. She works so hard to make sure all bride appointments are memorable, fun and stress-free. She knows the important role she plays in a brides important day. She has curated such a great group of dress and accessory designers. I have been married for many years, but love to buy gifts and jewelry there as I know it will be unique, high quality and fashion-forward... I also just love to see what new things will be in her window.

Michelle is the best! She is so accommodating and her dresses are top notch. She made my mother and I feel like princesses when we came in and I tried on dresses!! I found the perfect rehearsal dinner dress too!!! Nothing but 5 stars for Southern Protocol - if I could Id give her more :)

We used Hannah from Southern Protocol as a wedding planner. We used the partial event management package. Hannah was incredible, especially week and day of. She not only assembled all 200 of our welcome bags but also delivered them to all of the hotels (over 15 hotels). She helped set everything up and break everything down for our wedding and was able to orchestrate and coordinate everything (guests, vendors, etc) during the ceremony/reception. We would recommend her to anyone looking to get married in Charleston.

Southern Protocol was the first gown shop we went to and thank goodness for that! The gown selection there is beyond what I could have imagined. While the unique selection of gowns initially won me over, working with Michelle really set this boutique apart from other shops we visited. Michelle has extensive knowledge of the designers and each of their gowns. She made me feel so comfortable and cared for throughout the entire process. Her support and genuine desire to provide us with a fun and special experience during our appointment was incomparable to any other place. Im so thankful I learned about her shop and would absolutely recommend other brides to at least make it one of their stops! You will be so happy you did.

Miss Michelle worked with me and she was the best! She taught me so much about the different types of dresses and what I liked and didnt like. She was so patient and took the time to get to know me. I love my experience there! I cant wait to orde my dress through them! I highly recommend!!

I absolutely adore Southern Protocol as both a wedding boutique and a planning service. Lizz of Southern Protocol planned my wedding to perfection. It would not have been the same without her. Their boutique is just as wonderful: beautifully designed, elegant, and true to their style. You can tell they really put their entire heart and soul into creating it. It is not only filled with gorgeous dresses, but with other thoughtful items such as accessories, handbags, and jewelry. All that I would want to own! I cant wait for the opportunity when I get to pop in for a visit again. A must see while in Charleston!

First of all, the space is breathtaking right when you walk in. It feels elegant but so welcoming, and if this place had been open when I got married, its definitely where I would have been gown shopping! Luckily they have all sorts of other pretty surcees too, though, so its a great spot to stop in and pick up a few great gifts or treats for me. On top of all that, their event planning services are out of this world! Highly recommend!

I was blown away by this place. I felt very comfortable and found my heirloom piece, a stunning, handmade capelet. The store is beautiful and the ladies are so helpful. I wish I could get married again just to have an excuse to shop here!

Without a doubt there is no need to shop for a wedding gown anywhere else.The selection of gowns is amazing. Instead of an overwhelming wall of white that all blend together and make for an exhausting experience you are greeted by high quality, unique and timeless choices. Lizz and Michelle went far, far, above and beyond to not only help me get the wedding dress of my dreams that was not available anywhere else in the area but also to make every moment special for my family and I. They were able to have the specific gown I requested rushed in time for my wedding when we moved our date forward, made sure the dress and veil fit me like a glove in a short amount of time and then hand delivered the gown to me. They made sure I felt like a princess and that the whole process was stress free. I could not have asked for a better experience.

On a recent visit to Charleston, I visited the charming Southern Protocol Boutique. The shop is full of radiant light and quite elegant. It has a sophisticated ambiance, and the array of wedding gowns is breathtaking! Although the boutique features many designers, the collection has been artfully edited for the discerning bride by owners Michelle Miller and Lizz Ackerman. The service is very personal with great attention to detail. I would absolutely recommend this boutique for all things bridal!

Lizz with Southern Protocol designed my May 2014 wedding. I was lucky enough to stumble on her name and thanked god daily for about 400 planning days that I had found her. She was always available when I needed her and frequently re-arranged her schedule to do full-day planning meetings with me and my mom, when my mom was able to be in town. Then, she and her team turned a family members back yard into a STUNNING wedding venue in only 48 hours...unbelievable! If you are planning a Charleston wedding, you can definitely use Southern Protocol with confidence that your day will be perfect! And to make things better...Southern Protocol now has a stunning boutique with walls of gorgeous dresses and engagement/registry items as well. I wish the boutique had been open when I was shopping for a dress! Now I just go for Kate Spade goodies and engagement gifts for friends :)

Lizz was my wedding planner for my wedding in 2012 and it could not have been better! She made the whole process fun and friends and family are still telling us what a great time they had! Our wedding was a great reflection of our personalities and Lizzs unmatched sense of style! And now - the boutique is a daily representation of her magic! I love walking in the store and imaging all the great things to come for those lucky future brides!

After a terrible experience with my first wedding planner, Lizz and the entire Southern Protocol team took me in and showed me how its truly supposed to be done!! They 100% spoke my language and were able to give me the wedding of my dreams and remain within budget. The entire process was not only stress free, but so much fun with SoPro on my side!! These ladies have become more than just my wedding planners, they have become my friends. My one complaint is that I wish the Southern Protocol Boutique had been open when I was gown shopping ;) but I guess theres nothing to be done about that. The boutique is absolutely BEAUTIFUL and carries gowns for every type of bride!! Southern Protocol is THE only way to go for the Charleston Bride!

Lizz was my wedding planner and a year and half later I still want to get married every single day! Cliché as it is to say, Lizz literally made all my wedding dreams come true. I never knew so many fabulous details could come together so flawlessly (or at least that’s what Lizz made me think).
