I am very disappointed in this so called place of business. First of all since the pandemic the service Department became a joke. First we made an appointment to get the cars belt replaced because it was sounding. Had to wait two weeks to get an appointment because thats the only time a loaner was available. Once my mother got there the loaner they said would be available was not. First problem. second problem they told my mother the price of belt and then when she got to counter more stuff was put on like the pulley but never mentioned or anything The bill came out to be over 900 dollars just went and paid anyway. After my mom get to car oil is in carpet like they never put the paper mats in at all then realized they broke the seat on the side. Had to return and complain to Kelvin Williams and he so called orders the part. it was like they knew they broke the seat and charged my mom extra to cover the cost. We still have not heard from them about seat part its almost been a week. My mother was crying because she use to praise Baker now more like faker. This is so unacceptable for a luxury car place. They need to be held accountable and we ste still waiting for a call back. What happened to baker mercedesthey became terrible at best.

I brought my vehicle in for service and was greeted right away by a lot porter. I was then directed to Julieanna, my service advisor, who went over exactly what was being done to my vehicle, as well as the anticipated cost of the service. Julieanna then walked me over to the loaner office, where Becky and Frank were absolute rockstars. They gave me a brand new loaner vehicle that was very clean and had a full tank of gas! Throughout the day, Julieanna kept me updated on my cars progress, which was very reassuring that my car was in good hands. Overall, a very easy process with courteous staff!

I recently purchased a vehicle from Baker Automotive with Cornelius all the way up in New Hampshire. From a sales experience, everything was wonderful. Easy negotiation and contract revisions all done through email and a couple text messages.The finance manager and shop were a little less than perfect. The Finance manager baked in the warranty cost to my signing paperwork so we had to resend everything back and forth, which was handled promptly to their credit. I also found an issue with the passenger door not closing flush/grinding the backdoor frame and the back windshield wiper fluid not working but the local Volvo dealer that inspected the vehicle after I received it didnt find that out either so Im a little torn on being upset about it.That being said, everything else was handled very cleanly and with prompt response times. Id definitely order with Cornelius again, but with more explicit direction in regards to the finance manager and possibly by having a remote presence check the vehicle for me.
During the buying process of a preowned vehicle, I was told that the trunk was missing the trunk carpet cargo mat and I would need to purchase that since the vehicle was reduced in price.I was happy to purchase that and even purchased the mat from Baker Infiniti only to find out it is still missing a piece that covers the battery in the trunk.After communicating with my sales person, they put me in touch with the Summerville manager.The Summerville manager emailed me for a picture which I provided right away in hopes to get this resolved.Nine days later and after multiple emails and voicemails, the Summerville manager has not responded to make this right.The sales person and the Summerville manager mentioned multiple times that I just need the carpet.For the Summerville manager to ask for a picture of the missing item and then not respond after nine days clearly shows that something was not above board with this purchase.Buyer Beware
Ill try to keep this at short as possible. I had been looking to trade in my 2018 Maxima Platinum sedan for a black on black Accord 2.0T Touring, at a certain price point, for about a month when I finally found one at Bakers. The same day I found it, I also found another in the complete opposite direction. So I had 2 to choose from, identical mileage, identical features, both around 150 miles away from me. I requested information on both and decided whoever reached out first would likely be getting my business.The next day (I requested information while both dealerships were closed the night before), just after both dealerships opened, is when Cornelius reached out via email. I asked for verification of features, engine option and pictures to verify condition of the car itself since I would be driving 3hrs to see it and didnt want to waste a trip. He happily obliged, and sent me the pictures within just a few minutes. Satisfied that the cars condition was as advertised, I decided to move forward.Something of note, at this point in the day I had actually been awake for about 40hrs due to somewhat of a snafu during the work week thus far. That being said, Cornelius knew this and promised he would try to make the process as painless as possible for me.It was at this point I decided to make the journey and power through a few more hours white sleep, so I started driving. A few minutes in a get a phone from Cornelius. He wanted to ensure everything was worked as quickly as possible, so we did my credit application over the phone.About 3hrs later I arrived. Cornelius walked out to greet me almost immediately and threw me the keys to the Accord. It took all of about 7 minutes to realize I was in love with the car and that it really was everything I had hoped it would be.Bakers was able to get me financing at an awesome rate, and delivered on their claim of a near perfect car. Its now been just a few days since the purchase and Id be lying if I said I was beyond happy with the deal I got and the way I was treated.My only gripe about the experience itself was that it was took what seemed to be a little long getting in to see the finance guy and sign the papers. That being said, I cant be sure how long it actually took because I was essentially delirious due to my lack of sleep. I do know that from arrival to departure was about 2.5hrs total I believe.Somewhat long, drawn out story short: I would highly recommend Bakers and Cornelius. I was 100% satisfied and I still feel that way. If youre on the fence, give Cornelius a call. He seemed to be about as real as down to earth as they come. 👍 Thanks again

Hi! At the end of January I purchased a pre-owned 2011 BMW 328i. The saleswoman, Brenda Hodge, was extremely helpful throughout the whole process, as well as Mr. Wagnon, a manager. The dealership is extremely open about their car repairs, servicing, and Brenda helped me get in contact with other people there so I could have all of my questions answered. During the details, the car had an issue, but the dealership took it to the BMW Service nearby to have the necessary parts replaced at no cost, which I am extremely grateful for. Id really recommend this dealership if youre looking for a seller that is trustworthy and upfront about the whole process. Brenda was amazing and I still call, after the purchase, to ask any follow up questions. I was a first-time buyer, so Im thankful to have had the chance to work with these people. The car is in fantastic condition, and after driving it for about 2 weeks after the initial purchase, I havent had any issues.

The Mercedes -Benz team is great, but avoid this place for Jaguar service by all means. Drove an hour for a service only to find out it wasnt covered under my warranty. Ok, but its now over $400 than discussed on the phone when making the appointment. Service manager then proceeds to throw his employee under the bus with no ownership of the issue. If hes that way with a teammate what does he think of customers?
My mom purchased a vehicle from Mr. Cornelius on Saturday. This was the first time she didnt leave with a headache and we didnt have to sit for hours. I liked the fact that we didnt have a rude salesman follow us around trying to push her into a car just to make a sale. She got just what she wanted and so did I (her old car).
After a long search for the right car we found a few that fit all of our criteria online. I called three dealerships and Cornelius and Baker Auto of Charleston were by far the most helpful, friendly and accommodating of all. They were very honest and up front, easy to work with and very timely. We did all of our paperwork online and they fed ex(ed) everything that needed to be signed and it got to us in a timely manner. I couldn’t recommend working with them enough!
I would never do business with this company. I was interested in a new Mercedes they advertised at MSRP on both their website and on Autotrader. When the employee gave me the numbers they added $35,000 to the msrp of one vehicle and $75,000 to the msrp of another vehicle. They claim these mercedes are in high demand. They may be but I next called another dealer who has two selling at MSRP. For the life of me I don’t understand how some dealers like this one can stay in business and why buyers will pay their inflated prices. I guess getting MSRP plus a few add ons isn’t enough for this greedy dealer. Do your diligence and shop around and go elsewhere!

My wife and I broke down in our just purchased new Patriot Mercedes Sprinter off I-95 in Holly Hills. Mercedes road side service recommended a dealership in Charleston, however they could not guarantee a flatbed that would take my wife and I, nor could they guarantee that the Mercedes dealership could work on our custom sprinter van.We called your Mercedes van specialty center and spoke with Anthony. Based on the description of our engine trouble, Anthony was able to trouble shoot and get us to your service center. Anthony greeted us upon arrival and made every effort to get our van in for immediate diagnostics. Realizing that we were exhausted after dealing with vehicle malfunctions since the time we drove off the lot in Florida, Anthony offered to have a wonderful team member drive us to lunch.When we returned from lunch, Anthony walked us through the diagnostics and repairs that had been performed. As an orthopedic surgeon myself who handles challenging cases from around the world, I realize how difficult “challenging unique injures” can be to diagnose and treat. Anthony and your team at Baker not only discovered the unique malfunctions, they methodically worked through each challenge that presented.Anthony and your team were able to complete the work and get us back on the road to Maryland by the end of the day.As a fellow business owner and professional, I applaud the work ethic and service that you have instilled in your team. Your vision to create the first Mercedes Van specialty service center is brilliant and greatly needed. I took my car to baker Motor putting trust in them when I told them I had car insurance the service guy got angry, and said the insurance company put a cheap alternator on your car and he couldnt do any Mark ups, this is what he said to me, a Black Woman, he was upset. When I left there my car was trembling and I didnt have this problem before taking it there. now he tells me something else is wrong
I found a car online at Baker and had to make the purchase sight unseen. Cornelius went out of his way to answer all my questions, send me photos and help with the deal--even after hours. When I arrived to pick up my new car, everything was flawless. A great experience from start to finish!

Went in for 2 recalls. Was told through verbal confirmation that since the car would not be worked on until that evening it was fine to return the loaner and pick up my car before 6pm the following day. Later the evening of the day of service I receive a text telling me my car is actually done and I can pick up in the morning. Seeing as though I had no plans to pick up in the morning due to my prior confirmation with 2 people (service advisor & office admin) that I could return the loaner and pick up my car before 6pm the next day this was a huge inconvenience. To make sure I would not be charged a fee I responded asking Will I be charged a $100 fee (per contract) if I dont return in the am to which he replied yes. Had I gone with their word and returned when they said at 6pm I would have had to pay. They will attempt to swindle you out of money due to their miscommunication and horrible service. Go in with one problem. Leave with multiple. The front windshield had a huge 9 vertical crack when I received it. Although it had only a 1/2 horizontal splinter when going in that had been there for 2 years. Upon speaking with the manager he claimed glass will spread. Which is understandable, but in 2 years it didnt spread. What did you do to cause it to spread? Mind you upon receiving my car not a sole pointed this out to me. The flap on the bumper was completely off leaving a gapping hole that I mentioned was lose when going in, but still intact. Again, no one said anything when the car was returned. I bring it to his attention and he goes and finds the missing piece that is now scratched up and damaged due to their rough handling of my car. Then I drive away getting a warning signal that my car is inoperative to which Im told by the manager may or may not be their fault. Very concerning to receive this warning while driving. Although this was a non issue upon going. 1 too many issues added as a result of a simple recall repair. The manager provided defensive, unaccountable and blameful responses when all points were raised. They claim to pride themselves on customer service. It doesnt matter how nice they are to your face when they create more problems just to take advantage of you. Dont expect to receive your car in better condition than left and if anything did occur during their time with your car dont expect them to tell you upon receiving it. Thats what they call customer service!

I made an offer in writing and orally that was accepted. When I received the paperwork they added a $699 documentation fee. They were also not happy I was not interested in the extended warranty. They would not honor the deal they made orally. I asked the salesman to take pictures and a video as it was an out of town purchase. He told me he knew this car was perfect because was also the leasing agent on this car .He said the previous owner was an old guy who came in monthly for details. He said the previous owner was wealthy and his wife also drove an expensive AMG. The problem is this cars carfax said this car was from Wisconsin. The salesman just told me a long lie. I would not trust them to buy a Schwinn.

I experienced racial discrimination on 2/4/21 at 2pm at the Baker Motors of Charleston-Savannah Hwy location from an employee named Keaton Adams. He denied me of a test drive on the pre-owned Mercedes G-Wagon stating he wanted to keep the mileage low, have to run a severe credit score check and not to get my feelings hurt if it comes back denied, not everyone can drive off the lots, and it’s “policy”.I knew this was not the truth when another employee came out and asked if he should move the other cars blocking the G-Wagon and Keaton nonchalantly replied “no, not really”. I called the other locations and was informed that only a drivers LI and insurance card is needed to drive any vehicle. I spoke the manager on duty who didn’t seem to have a concern about my issue. Kaeton then informed me that he briefed the wrong information but only chose to seek the correct answer after I left.My concern with this entire issue is this certain employee profiled me and automatically assumed I couldn’t afford the vehicle. His demeanor was nonchalant and it was almost as if he were accustomed to mistreating minorities. There was no sincere apology and just a simple “sorry I gave you the wrong information”.This is completely unacceptable. Two other salesmen expressed their empathy and apologized for his actions however it was not sufficient enough to where I felt comfortable supporting this establishment.I’m reaching out to you as step one in resolving this issue. Very poor dealership. Was told to drive over an hour and a half away for service but when I arrived nobody knew what I was talking about. When I asked for help from a manager I waited but nobody came.
Driving thru Charleston when we got two holes in our low profile tire, service department was able to get us right in and while they could not patch it they plugged it and helped us locate a dealership that had tire. They were very helpful even gave our dog water and treats and did not charge anything for temp repair.
Absolutely recommend. Super helpful and did everything they could to get us in something nice!

Took my GMC Canyon that I purchased from Baker in for Bodyshop work. The person who I was working with was nice but all of the communication was started by me throughout the process. It took them two weeks to replace a bumper and fix some scratches all the while I was paying for a rental car out of pocket. When I got the car back I instantly noticed the bumper was off by almost an inch on one side and perfect on the other side. He said He would get me a new bumper over 2 weeks ago and no one has contacted me yet.

Within minutes of submitting an inquiry online, I received a call from Will Calhoun. Now let me add, Will called just minutes before closing as I submitted my inquiry late in the evening. He could have simply called the next morning (I wasn’t expecting to hear from anyone that night) but instead to our surprise he took the time just before going home to call us. I lost the key to my car. Had it towed in to get a replacement key fob. After paying 100s of dollars and waiting two weeks, Julie called me and told me that my car would have to be picked up because it was not in driving condition. I had the car towed home, charged the battery and the fob did not work. I exchanged the key and ECU for the one in my other Mercedes and the car started right up. I then called Julie to explain that the fob that they gave me did not work, she attempted to make excuses as if it was my fault ant hung up on me. I will NEVER deal with or recommend these people to ANYONE.

Me and my husband came to pick up a car he leased through his job (Mercedes) we got there and we felt like we werent welcomed. We were probably there for 20 minutes, the woman gave us the keys and pretty much said bye. Noone went over the car with us, showed us what does what or anything, we were handed the keys and thats it. For a luxury car dealership we felt very unwelcome and rushed to get out.

Horrible service. Good luck getting a call back. Tommy Baker needs to deliver what he promises. I highly recommend using any other dealership in town or somebody outside of town. Their warranty program is BS, their service is horrible and they never get back to you and have an attitude. I have lost all patience and understanding for this business.
I have had my car for 2 years, love it and until now been so happy with the service. But my latest experience with the auto butler treatment was very disappointing. My car was not even clean when it was returned. I had a very frustrating conversation with Anthony in the service department who blamed the problem on the finance department overselling the program. And in the midst of this pandemic not one person was wearing a mask, there were no accommodations for social distancing in the loaner car area, and no provision made to disinfect my car after it was serviced. Anthony told me after the fact that a disinfecting treatment was available but customers had to ask for it - not sure how you ask for something you dont know is available. I would give this experience only 2 stars but in light of past experiences am raising it a star.
Where do I start...we took our vehicle there for an oil change....upon arrival to the service area we were politely greeted and immediately met a service rep. He made helpful suggestions regarding suggested maintenance and quoted a reasonable price. He gave us dining suggestions within walking distance while we waited for our service to be completed. When we returned, we found the waiting area to be roomy and comfortable. There was complimentary coffee, snacks, and cookies! 😋. The rep found us in the waiting area, escorted us the the payment counter, then brought us to our vehicle in the service bay area. Best vehicle service experience ever!
1 walked the lot 3 times went into sales trailer-2 salesmen sitting at desk would not get up from desk. And right out said would not negotiate. As female, this experience is why I hate car dealers. Tommy Baker needs to know pompous men shoo away his business & prospective customers! Not even 1 star.
I bought an expensive van. It didn’t even come with floor mats. Every other vehicle I have ever purchased has come with floor mats, sometimes even 2 sets (rubber and carpet). The first offer from Baker for my trade in was ludicrously low. So I had to do weeks of work shopping around at other dealerships and collecting offers and show them to Baker in order to force them to be competitive. Very stressful experience overall.
