Tons of cool gadgets and cookware. They sell very high quality kitchen items so unfortunately that means high price tags too

So I called Williams Sonoma personally to place an order online, I was trying to get a lot of gifts for my mom and I made sure to call them in advance (April 28th) so that I could organize everything to be delivered on Mother’s Day. At first it seemed like it was doable as the person on the phone was confident they’d be able to arrange something like this, that’s why they told me to call and place an order instead of placing it online. I called the next day to cancel the wreath and they told me there was no way to cancel it even if I called them a day after I made an order, I was under the impression that since my requested delivery date was so far in advance they would be able to cancel something that wasn’t supposed to even be made yet... they told me I couldn’t cancel it. Like 3 of the items came before Mother’s Day and one of the bowls is still shipping. I wish their processing of orders was more organized and they could actually arrange things to be delivered on Mother’s Day since so many other business can manage to do this especially offering such expensive items. The gifts were still awesome, my mom loved all of them so far. Overall my experience was a 3/5

While the staff was great, the brand is not what it used to be! Its not West Elm, it doesnt need to be the latest trend. Williams-Sonoma should remain classic and true to its roots. Im not confident Chuck Williams would agree with what it has become.

Great selection in high end kitchenwares. Staff was a bit all over the place and one was visibly rude to all her coworkers. Definitely very expensive so some things can be found for much cheaper online.

Williams-Sonoma on King Street in Charleston is a great place to shop for everything home goods and cooking. There are so many items that they have that are cool and that will want to add to your kitchen or home. I have been really satisfied with all of the purchases that I have made here throughout the years and they have been high quality products that have lasted. The staff here is extremely helpful and makes sure that you find everything that you need. This is a fun place to shop.

I was perfectly pleasantly surprised by my experience here. I expected to be followed around the store and treated suspiciously but every one of the ladies made my experience a really remarkable one. Because of that, I was able to shop comfortably and make the purchases I needed. Certain places in Charleston treat people of color suspiciously but Im so happy that I did not run into this type of behavior here. Thank you!

For a guy I have an unhealthy relationship with this place. The staff is awesome! Ive never worked with such knowledgeable employees. Every time I spend too much money here. They have the best quality knives and cookware I have ever used. Of course you will pay for it but you get what you pay for. I enjoy the design and layout of the store. It makes me want to cook something every time I go in.

Do you relish paying 30% upcharge for “handling”? Not detailed when you check out? They’ll disappear when you attempt to call and question their charges. But, there’s always the Federal Trade Commission 💕 Williams-Sonoma is a pack of dirtbags, order Wayfair.

I am a professional chef and have been buying all of my knifes from Williams and Sonoma for the past 14 years on two separate occasions I have tried to buy a 16 piece global knife set from the Charleston location. Both times I was greeted by women at the front desk we proceeded all the way to check out where she told me that my 20% professional chef discount card that I have been using for over a decade would not apply. I’ve emailed Williams and Sonoma and have received no response I’m a I’m very frustrated after 14 years of buying my knives with the 20% discount that Williams and Sonoma gives professional chefs it is discouraging to find out that they no longer do that I will no longer be buying any thing from Williams and Sonoma I have already Found abetter alternative I wish you the best but you have lost a forever customer. For anyone reading this review I have found that the US foods chef store in downtown Charleston carries almost everything Williams and Sonoma does for a fraction of the price and it is open to the public. I apologize about the long review it was just very upsetting to realize that I would have to spend $650 at Williams and Sonoma without them even accepting my professional chef card

I called ahead to make sure that they had an item i wanted to see. I was told that they had one on display and 3 in inventory. We walked up to the store the next day. The salesperson told us that the the item on display had been sold. She then turned around and continued with whatever she was doing (I think she was restocking some shelves). This was a $400 item. Seems to me that the zero effort sales approach is the new norm for Williams Sonoma. By the way, the item was on sale and marked all the way down to manufacturers FULL list price. Some sale.....Bought it direct from the manufacturer today.

The worst William and Sonoma I have ever been to. The staff are incredibly rude, calling my husband and friend fat is absolutely unacceptable. I usually go to the William and Sonoma at Ponce City Market at the Atlanta location for all of my kitchen needs but decided to stop in while on a day trip to Charleston. Let me start off by saying aside from the atrocious staff, this location is a dump. This location is a disorganized and cluttered mess. The inside is filthy, everything is covered in a fine layer of pollen and dust on the shelves. Im going to assume its because the genuises who work here leave the doors wide open with the AC still running in the spring, which of course would drag all of the pollen and dirt in. Knowing that all of that garbage is all over every single kitchen item is disgusting. Almost everything basic was out of stock. This place falls far below my average shopping standards as well as the standards normal William and Sonomas set forth. All of us will not be returning as well as letting everyone we know what a barn this location is.

I ordered an All Clad skillet on the Williams Sonoma website. It was a real bargain for such a good quality skillet. However, there was a horrible mix up with the order. Being on a serious time constraint to resolve the problem, I visited the Charleston store by chance to see if they could help me straighten the mess out.Although it was not purchased at the store, Cammie came through with flying colours by taking care of shipping back and crediting the wrong order, and providing the right skillet from their own stock with an additional discount.Williams Sonoma quality cookware, quality serviceThanks a whole bunch.Denis G.
