In the 10 years that my daughter has been dancing they have never failed to have what we need in stock.

We purchased a pair of tap shoes today and the customer service was outstanding. The lady assisted us in finding the perfect shoe and as they werent something that will be used long term, a shoe at a lower price point. Were fortunate to have this store in Charleston. Highly recommend.

This is the place to go for dancewear needs. The staff is super friendly, and they KNOW what you need. Simply tell them the name of your chosen dance school and they know what shoes, the color of apparel for your childs class, and the accessories to make it all easier. They have nice sales too, so be sure to ask about deals available!

The first time I took my daughter to get pointe shoes we had a wonderful young lady who took her time with my daughter and helped her try on atleast 10 plus pointe shoes. Took time to answer questions, asked questions to my daughter, helped in every way. Very knowledgeable, very, very nice. That to me was a fitting. We went back this past Wednesday, November 2, 2016...two ladies are working. We get one who acted put out that we were there in the first place. Gave my daughter a pair of pointe shoes, didnt help in anyway with them. When my daughter told her they didnt feel right she got another pair and again acted like she was no more interested than the man in the moon. We were in and out in less than 25 minutes!! My daughter said she felt rushed and wanted to try on more than two pairs. It takes awhile for dancers to get the right shoe but I feel this lady didnt care less. I will be back as that is the only place close and it was an hour and a half drive for us, but if I see her in there I will turn and walk out. Very disappointed. If you dont like your job and are not there to help and do a proper fitting its time to leave. Pointe shoes are not cheap and when you go in to buy them you want professional and pleasant employees helping you. I sure hope we get the first girl that helped us next time.

Backstage has great shoes to dance Ballroom and Latin dance. I send my students there to get shoes that will fit well and allow them to twirl on the dance floor. The suede or leather bottoms will not “stick” to the floor and that makes dancing so much easier. Dance shoes should fit like a glove so they don’t feel too sloppy nor too tight. Backstage helps fit my student’s shoes in a very knowledgable way.Charleston WV Dance. MaryLouise King
