Visited today to check to see if they had any vintage military rations. Unfortunately they didnt but thats not gonna effect the rating. Its a flea market after all. The biggest problem that this place has is the fact that about 90% of the vendors only take cash. That wouldnt be a problem, if only they had an ATM at the establishment. Unfortunately as I have a bike and have ridden from downtown, I wasnt able to really purchase anything as I didnt carry cash on me at the time. However, even though I couldnt buy anything, I will say the things I did find, that varied from vendor to vendor, were mostly very interesting items from the late 80s and 90s. If I had found an ATM at the establishment I definitely wouldve purchased some of the items available. Most of the people were very friendly as well.Overall 3/5. Not bad, but definitely could use either an ATM or a card reader.
Half of the vendors werent set up by 11 am when we got there, prices varied from good to too high. Some really nice antiques
Vendors are very friendly my son loves the fidget toys!
The capital Flea market is a great an amazing place to go shopping an find stuff. Me Im here every weekend since I am the maintenance man. If you cant find what youre looking for look for me Ill be wearing a shirt that says Captial flea market on the back.
Had A Great time; just cant get A grip back there yet; times were easy, made things, and getting stuff done; then the Pandemic hit; a pack which hit fast; and without warning: its still low getting started: the over all is well finally recover:And we will resort to the things we love best!Mine are flea Markets.Capital Flea Market, Beautiful Place to visit, friendly people; large selection of Antiques, Vintage, Collectables, Glass, Pottery, Ceramics, China; smlies; Furniture; Plus: newer, more modern things, old and new: for almost all you needs: its usually there.
I love going to the market an just looking around.
Used to be a great spot, but has turned into a ghost land. No sales, and the ones who are set up ask way too much for their items.
Great place to go for just about anything. Great people and prices.
Didnt really have a feeling of organization. If u rent a table for the, $15 fee, its the equivalent to 1 picnic table so if u have we good amt to sell u will have to bring youre own accomodations accordingly,
Capital flee market used to be great, I rember being a kid and excited to go but now there hardly anything but junk and meth heads around every turn. The food there was great and the hospitality was amazing. I just wish better for our community
Its not what it used to be but its still got a few nice vendors.
Many vendors are still out and what was there didnt have much to offer.
We got there to early to be honest they didnt have a lot going on yet
Grew up haggling here its where I learned to operate my business and the value of a dollar. Tho due to corvid it is lacking the hustle and bustle Im use to seeing there . And when I was growing up they had live bluegrass and gospel music emanating through the halls .which I miss so badly and want my children to experience. Could not believe some of the same vendors I grew up with more than 25 years ago still were in operation. My absolute favorite is the guy who makes the dog tags. Love this place glad its still open .
This place offers a lot of shopping opportunity. Many vendors in the indoor part which is open all year. The outdoor area is just as great seasonally with many vendors to shop at. They are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The best day to come and see the most shops open would be Saturdays.
Not many seller open. Prices are quite high on yard sale items. Doesnt look well kept a little messy.
Three words: Better Than MiltonOther than that, youre looking at typical modern flea market items such as pallet items and Amazon returns on the inside.Every once and awhile someone will show up with something exciting on the parking lot, but dont hold your breath.
Got there a bit late in the day, so many of the vendors were closed.
There wasnt very many stores open there at the time we went but we got what we went for and more.
Mostly junk, not alot of people were there
Went to a great shop called Connies Yonnies where i was able to purchase crystals and sage! She does tarot readings too!
Very friendly people,good food,and wheel chair a8
Just ok, lots of professional flea market sellers.
Good place to sell things that stuck in a closet etc
A must-go for Charleston shoppers. You have the rare gems of any flea markets, but then great businesses like RJs Electronic store, which sells brand new electronics of all kinds, accessories for cell and computers, electronic beauty devices for pores and/or acne- but also rare baseball/basketball/fball, pokemon and other trading cards and sports memorabilia and collectibles-all things that blow up and are simultaneously sold on Ebay but that you can buy right there. Theres also a vape shop, services like wooden sign making and other engravings and even vhs recordings converted to DVDs offered in a variety store in the back corner. Theres gun shops and convenience-type stores there is food and family and community there as well. Its a great atmosphere to be in while also getting to shop and find great items and ideas! Its been around since I was little and it feels great to buy the valuables from locals rather than the same items overpriced for big business. Def go check out the Capital Flea market for everything you can think of clothes, collectibles, old items, brand new items, used items and made to order customizations, niche products or everyday household items for cleaning or hygiene or cosmetics oh and theres even a homemade candle shop and a store for your pets. But what is more are all of the future businesses and services that can appear as Covid is defeated and if business can return and increase! Check the hours and GO EARLY to get the worms!
I love the Capitol Flea Market. The vendors are so nice and they have a very nice selection of old and new items to see. Plenty of parking and the facilities are excellent. Great place to buy and sell your favorite items.
A wonderful place to find all kinds of unique one-of-a-kind items through numerous vendors. The Berry Patch Store inside the market offers a large variety of primitive, country, and farmhouse, furniture and home Decor items. They also take orders for special made items. This flea market is one the the friendliest and welcoming Flea Markets I have ever visited.
Love everything about the market. It’s a staple in the summer for fresh produce and great shopping
I love going to Capitol flea market. There is such a variety of things to look at, you can spend the entire day. do you have inside vendors and outside vendors you have vendors that are there permanently and then you have people that come just to set up for the weekend. You can find just about anything and everything .
Good people good finds
Laid my wallet down on some clothes, while I was looking at some books on the table. Forgot laying it down, looked at other stuff. Realized my wallet was gone.me and the seller went through the clothes looking for it.i told her where I laid it.ask her if she had it .she said no and showed me n her purse.i left crying, she yelled at me.i found it.she knew that I knew she had it
Nice set up, easy to navigate, easy to get to.
Good.
Great bargains on unique vegetables. Great prices on many items. surprisingly nice antiques. Bought high quality kitchen tile.
First of all i love flea markets. Outside,is a good place to shop, because its like a yard sale people just sell for a day. Inside is great too u can find things like antiques baby clothes and items, tools etc. Its a great place.
I always have fun and find some treasures.
Ha, Ha, ha, great place for all your wants and needs, Plus More! Very Nice Staff;Really A Growing Community & Place!!!!!
Half the booths are always closed

There is always a good time waiting at the Capitol Flea Market. Lots of things to see. Can pick up some unique items. Always a great time in any season!
Yes I love going to fle-market
Love this place! Glad they are open thru the winter on weekends. Just wish they were also open thru the week after work. 😏 Bought a few Christmas gifts here. Would probably buy most if they were open more. 👍
Fun stuff to see
Fun place never know what you will find.
Great place! Absolutely love going there to browse through the different shops that cater to a variety of interests, not to mention the great buys/value! Highly recommended!
Capital city Flea Market is like going to see your family every weekend. Awesome Vendors. Not all prices are good but lots of fun and you can find good deals. A little of everything.
Lots of cool stuff. Little shops basically. You could come across anything here.
The country store is my favorite place to go! She has the BEST homemade wax melts! 5 stars go to her!
Good stuff good prices
They got some pretty cool stuff there at decent deals.
Not as good as it was years ago
Not as good as it used to be, however there are still some really nice shops such as the Vape shops, glass piece shops, makeup shops (name brands such as Kylie, too faced, urban decay, etc is ALL fake but mostly good quality), electronic shops, and more......Also I really like the old man who runs a miscellaneous shop towards the end of the first row of shops (open breeze way type area, not inside) he has shampoo, conditioner, laundry stuff, makeup, medicine, smell good stuff, batterys, deodorant, etc.. Hes very friendly, consistent, and very reasonably priced. Been going to him for years now. Hes always there hot or cold, rain or shine.
It wasnt very busy and most shops were closed
Friendly, Relaxed atmosphere with a great variety from aeveral different vendors! A fun family outting thats safe for the whole crew! No Drugs & Alcohol allowed!
Great people
Vendors looked sad, many empty stalls. Covid19 taking a toll. People should wear masks.
Good atmosphere
My husband and I stop in here whenever it is open and the perfect moment transpires when we get to spend a few very rare adult moments together, in public-without kids or cage!If you are in the vicinity, it is worth the effort to check if its open.... so stop and nose around- plus dont pass by the other shops mixed in amongst the flea market and/or sit off on their own. They are a secret treasure trove of newer, oldie but goodie, gently used, and especially back in the day items to satisfy the reminiscent heart--the prices are incredibly low or negotiable, and the folks are friendly and helpful!
This was the first time in a while that I found much to buy. A lot of empty places inside. Prices are good.
Wasted my time driving there. Less than half of the venders aren’t there and many portions of the place is empty. Would not go back
Not much in the way of vendors, although the folks there are very friendly. There used to be more here, but it seems to have dwindled over time.
Love the decals at Why Pay More alot of great deals
Giving even one star is saying to much. There are a few great venders there but the owner and staff are all in for the money only. Beware as a shopper or a vender its not a safe place!
Worst flea market ever. Management is horrible and unavailable. Owner does everything in his power to suck money out of you and dont bring your children or pets up there, they will most likely get hurt.
They have a nice variety of shops and good finds
Not much going on but it was sunday
Check out booth 17
Lots of variety. Too many vendors to count. Good fresh produce.
Love the flea market
I love all Dewey Coleman
Lots to choose from and great deals. Vendors are nice
ALWAYS find excellent deals and unexpected finds. Love It!!!!!
Great place and its awesome to walk around and look all the different items and find things you never knew you needed.
Its a nice place to go, if you want to find a good deal, or an unexpected treasure.
Found lots of shops to look through and my wonderful treasures.

Decent but not a lot of vendors.
Check out....R&J VARIETY SHOP #21..buy 1 get 1free watches, Hollister, American Eagle, Gap, kids, men, women clothes, Bluetooth speakers, and head phones....CHEAPPPPP
The new management has just about ran this place in the ground. Sad because it use to be a great place to visit and find what you needed.
You can find some great deals.
Paid $85 to have an item fixed. Came to pick it up, the item was not fixed. The owner said to take the item and leave. He is scamming people. I advise no one to deal with him!
Lots of shops were closed, but it was a holiday weekend. It was a typical flea market, nothing extra special, but if you like flea markets or want a keepsake from WV then its a good stop.
Friendly people, good for a casual Saturday stroll!
Nice.selection of everything you may need. Prices vary
Guy name Chili is awesome.. great deals
