I wanted a booklet spiral bound, I had called to see if this service was offered and was told yes. I was also told that I would probably need to drop it off and return later unless I wanted to pay an up charge to wait. I was happy with the info. When I arrived, the guy took my booklet and immediately started the process. In 5 minutes he was back with the finished product and no up charge! He checked to be sure the product was done to my liking and I was out of there in no time.The worst part of the whole process was the parking lot, not sure why people around here are not able to drive in a coherent way. Luckily, I pay a lot of attention and was able to get in and out of the lit safely.I will definitely use the services of this Staples location again in the future.

Great customer service. The Mt. Pleasant store called the Folly Rd store on my behalf to hold the HP replacement power cord I needed. I got there right at 8am and the staff member had my item waiting for me and even helped me set-up. I regret that I dont remember his name to acknowledge this personable, helpful and knowledgeable associate.

This Staples location in West Ashley is one of my go to locations for office supplies. This store is very convenient and easy to get in and out of with everything on your shopping list. I like being able to to go in the store to shop and touch and hold everything before making a purchase. I have found some really good values on office furniture here over the years among other larger items. The staff here is very helpful and provides immediate assistance when you need it. This store has been very consistent and reliable throughout the years and has come through in some times of need on multiple occasions.

This store insists on posting false hours online. They close at 6pm every day. On Staples website it shows they are open till 9. Whenever the hours are corrected on Google Maps somebody goes and changes it to the false hours right away. This has been going on since March.It makes no sense. Are they trying to deliberately frustrate customers who drive there just to find the store closed? Unique management incompetence on display

Please change the hours on the website to reflect your current operating times. They can be changed back after Covid-19 issues allow all to return to normal but this was a total waste of my time to drive over only to find out your normal hours as posted on the website arent being followed.

Used to do all of my printing business here. Last season this time of year Staples was willing to stand behind their service and the employees were willing to accommodate my needs providing a test print to ensure quality before I spent hundreds of dollars doing multiple high quality copies.Today I called in to make sure the print shop was even open. (Last night they werent when I went in) my call was answered by an employee and when I began my inquiries I was met with a poor attitude and unhelpfulness the whole way through. Its disappointing that no effort was made to accommodate a past customer who is bringing lots of potential business.

The service was actually quite good, it is the product I am infuriated by. I bought a filing cabinet here (if you even want to call it that) for about $120. The particular one i was looking at was out of stock, so they knocked some cash off of the price and gave me the floor model. It worked completely fine in the store and at home when it was empty. However, once it had actual papers in it, the damn thing ceased to function in any respect of a filing cabinet. This is primarily because the glides they used for the drawers to go in and out were about the cheapest you could possible design. This in of itself would have been find except the cabinet was so cheaply made that it had no cross members to keep the shape from deforming ever so slightly, which made it so the glides came out of their track and it ceased to open or close completely after that point. I spent over a $100 on a cabinet that cant even perform its most basic functions of opening or closing. I suppose this is partially my fault for trying to buy a filing cabinet for a reasonable price, but why is an office supply store carrying this type of garbage in their stock. I basically wasted money on this because it pretty much refuses to open or close, and I had to buy a new filing cabinet now. I guess i should have spent more money to purchase a quality filing cabinet, but forgive me for thinking $200 for a 3 drawer filing cabinet seems incredibly excessive.

I spent about 15 minutes trying to get the self service printer to either get a document from my Google drive (only found the picture, not the .docs), finally gave up. When I asked the girl if the $5 would come off my account because I couldnt get the machine to work, she told me yes, but no question if I needed help. Definitely not the kind is Staples help Im used to.

Got a great deal on a printer. The store was a bit jumbled up, but last Friday was Black Friday so I expect a bit of disarray after the most significant shopping weekend of the year. I asked for help with the printers and they had to find someone. The sale prices were not marked on the printers at the end of the aisle and I just wanted to make sure that I got the sale price. When the guy finally came out, he looked and acted like he had just woke up from a nap... or was perhaps stoned. He was knowledgeable, but very sleepy and short with his answers. Not very friendly. I dont expect you to be my best friend but you should at least be cordial and enthusiastic about your job. If youre not, then you probably should look for a different job. The same guy rang me up but he was staring at his cell phone half the time. The transaction was complete and my receipt rolled out of the machine but I stood there until he finally acknowledgd me and looked at me instead of his cell phone. I stood there for another few seconds until he actually said thank you and handed me the receipt... I think it took everything he had within him to do that.On the way out I noticed that the store had a help wanted sign in the window... hmm.

I was in this store while traveling in early June. Do to an unexpected business issue I went in this location to use one of their work stations to prepare a legal document, The staff at this location went above and beyond to satisfy my needs.Thomas Fletcher the GSM has a great staff for the business community to rely on in a pinch. David Kahn, one of the Associates even delayed his lunch break to allow me to finish preparing my legal documents so he could Notarize all my documents. I have always been pleased with the service I receive at Staples Windermere. Sorry to hear so many of you arent. One strategy is to remember Southern Culture: things usually move more slowly, its Who You Know and how you treat one another. But outside of that, yall can recall the 2-way nature of Customer Service. There are 3 Rs: Respect, Reasonability and Reliability. When it comes to those 3, the Staples Windermere team has always delivered...at least for me ;). Best to you!!

I asked to pick up items on hold at Easy Tech, and when I went in at 7, I was told by the only cashier that Easy Tech was sick tonight. Someone behind me in line said aloud I heard the whole Easy Tech staff walked out on the same day! and then when I asked the only cashier working, she confirmed it and softly asked me if I knew of anyone who was hiring! I would never trust an tech repair to them before for our agency and definitely not now. They & all the others (Office Depot, etc.) should just stick to what they know - office product sales.

I just called this location to simply ask for a customer service phone number and the man on the phone didnt want to get it for me because he said it wasnt right in front of him. Ive never heard such bad phone etiquette on a simple phone call. It was a very simple request.

I love their clearance items, coupon deals, unique items, sales and great deals on pens at the register. I can get purple pens, without paying for a whole multi-pack, and other colors I dont want. Be sure to check prices when they ring up your items though. Sometimes sales marked throughout the store dont make it into their computer. They honor the sale if you point it out or come back, but its much easier to look than it is to make a 2nd trip. Awesome convenient location as well. Helpful staff.

I print using the online service frequently and always have horrible customer service when Im picking up in this store. There is usually only one person in the print shop and if they are helping another customer you can forget getting helped in a timely manner. Customers are never even acknowledged. This is definitely not the place to print to if you want to get in and get out.

Just went to the store to talk about a printing order. I was told to go home and do it on the website. The website has very limited paper options and is difficult to use for what I needed. Looks like another company gets my business. I cant even get anyone to answer the phone to talk to me, on hold for 30 minutes so far.

Understaffed and overwhelmed, went through a whole harassment by the manager Ethan that I could not return a purchase made through the website and picked up in Mount Pleasant to the South Windermere store. Told me on both occasions both in store and on the phone that I had to return it at the Mount Pleasant location. Had managers Tom and Justin verify that is totally ridiculous, and called Ethan so tell him to call me to verify that he was in fact wrong. Want to get anything done fast and correctly the first time? Go to Mount Pleasant. This Staples needs to be on the chopping block

After a number of emails saying that we had credit running out at the end of the month, we finally got to a store to use the credit. Well, the system is not all that friendly if you dont have access to a printer and we could not get the right form for the refund. Thanks to the store manager we managed to get the purchase refund despite the hassles of the corporate system. Kudos to someone who cares and dealt with a customer problem quickly and effectively. I would go out of my way to go there again.

If I had stock in Staples I would sell it stat. There is no customer service desk and the most inexperienced employees in the store must deal with customers using broken cash register scanners, for returns and exchanges, customer rewards issues and complaints while learning the cashier position in what they refer to as the penalty box. There is so much better way to train new employees, and even grocery stores and Walmart have customer service desk. Computer chair I purchased there had an arm rest fall off after a year. People who work there actually try to be helpful but entire business model works against it. The good news is that with a few common sense changes, the profit margin can be increase by 30%.

Will never go here again. The african american lady behind the desk at the print station was absolutely terrible. She takes her anger out on her customers and makes people feel uncomfortable. After asking a question regarding laminating my card she snapped on me and told me “I don’t cut or fold your stuff”. Completely embaressing. Another man in the area even said that was absurd. I never asked her once to do either, just if I should do that before laminating and she continues to laminate the whole paper and costed me an extra $7 dollars. She knew what she was doing. Anyone with a normal IQ could see that a 3in by 2in little icon in the top right corner of the paper would not need to have the whole paper laminated and i said that before she did it and continued to do so. Also needless to say it gives cut out directions that are bigger than the icon itself right below it. The manager even thought she was completely out of line and rediculous; he apologized. She needs to be fired. I will not send any of my employees here anymore because of her. The manager on the other hand was understanding of her craziness, did what he is paid to do and was very helpful.

A young lady answered my phone call today, and listened patiently as I told her my wife might have left her cell phone back in the office furniture department earlier. I expected her to tell me, simply, that no one had turned a lost phone in. Instead, she put me on hold for five minutes while she walked through the furniture department looking for it. When she returned to my call, she apologized for the time it had taken, and asked for my phone number just in case the phone showed up later.Typically, clerks at Staples are no less friendly than the clerks at Best Buy, Office Depot, Walmart, Big Lots, or even the local country club pro shop. Some smile, some dont. Some go the extra mile, some wont unless they are forced. Some love their job, some would rather not be doing anything but watching television at home.Most, however, love their families and, though they might not reflect admirable people SKILLS, they hope to feed their families with the money they make being judged by critical customers.

I just wanted a page printed but they somehow cant manage for me to send it to an email address. Instead it HAS to go through their web site. I spent 30 minutes trying to get that to work, but their site is really slow and I finally gave up. Thankfully FedEx office does allow you to email attachments for printing so I got it taken care of.Thought the motto was that was easy. I came away with Wow. That was a pain. Thats why I went somewhere else.

Customer services lied to my face canceled my pick up to store orders said it was a fake code. so i then the showed her proof of $7 off $7 on the retail me not app. and the other staples coupons there. she was in shock but said she couldnt do it. I am admittedly writing this review--something I have literally never in my life done before--because of an extraordinarily atrocious service experience.I bought a Cyber Acoustics (Item 493135Model CA-3080) speaker combo many months back. They only cost about $38, which made me just skeptical enough to bite the salesmans bait when he offered me an $8 insurance policy (a hefty percentage of the total $38), because I know how fragile and unreliable cheap electronics can be. He repeatedly made it VERY CLEAR to me that if ANYTHING went wrong with the speakers under this insurance policy, I could bring them back to the store for a full refund, no questions asked. He went so far as to hypothesize an absurd anecdote, saying if I outright smashed the thing on cement, it would still be covered. I was skeptical at this as well, so asked for double clarification about a full refund if anything went wrong. He triple-assured me.Sure enough, the thing was completely dysfuntional a few months later, constantly popping in and out of providing any sound whatsoever, no matter what device I had it plugged into. Brought it back to the store to find out that, no I would not be getting my money back as easily as the salesman had told me. I had to call their return-policy center, go through a trouble-shooting process and then after I PROVED that it was a dysfunctional product, I would be refunded via mail.This was not the case either. After 40 minutes proving the complete and undeniable dysfunction of the product, the guy on the phone told me that he too was convinced that the product had received no outside damage and was in fact a dysfunctional product, but that I would have to call Cyber Acoustics because the product was still under THEIR factory warranty. I was not about to spend another 40 minutes on the phone with Cyber Acoustics to get my $38 back. The representative on the phone was not to blame and was very courteous and cordial, letting me know that the salesman should have never made the claims that he made, and that the issue seemed to be that individual employee, and that if I didnt want to call Cyber Acoustics, I should take it up with the manager at the location.I did just that. I detailed the events to the manager about how no one had informed me in any way that my product was NOT covered by the insurance plan that I bought for the first year (a fact which would have completely deterred me from buying it in the first place), and how the premise upon which my insurance plan was bought was not just misleadling and exploitative, but utterly false. The manager was callous and visibly annoyed, coldly and robotically informing me that if I didnt want to call Cyber Acoustics that there was nothing he could do but offered to recycle it for me.Enough said. I want to reiterate that I have been in the service industry for 15 years, am totally empathetic and sympathetic to having to deal with unreasonable customers (who are NOT always right), and that this is a case which was so frustrating I felt an obligation to let people (and hopefully upper management) know how misleading and uncaring this particular location is, and that it was not isolated to one bad apple.Best to all.

Went here to buy a garmin GPS for a customer. called ahead to verify that they had the GPS, when I called the associate was nice enough, and told me they had one left, I told him I was on my way for it and to hold it. so I get to the staples and walk up to the front counter and ask the female associate for the GPS I spoke to a different associate about, she immediantly gets this attitude and gives me a look like I just spat in her face called her a name. she doesnt say anything to me, just walks around the counter and goes to what I guess is thier storage room and gets the GPS, walks back around the counter, runs the GPS thru her scanner and slams the GPS into the bag on a steel counter, and then asks me is there ANYTHING ELSE I can get for you? I pay for the GPS and walk away. Im never going back here.
