My friend said these were her favorite donuts in Charleston, so we decided to pick some up when we were visiting her.We got a half dozen donuts with Cookie Butter, Pumpkin Spice, Pecan Toffee Crunch, Apple Pie, Cereal Milk, and Autumn Nut Crunch (vegan).I really liked these donuts. My favorite flavors were the Apple Pie and Cereal Milk followed closely by Autumn Nut Crunch and Pecan Toffee Crunch. The Pumpkin Spice and Cookie Butter were not as flavorful as I would have wanted.They have quite a few vegan donuts and if youre not vegan, I couldnt even tell the difference between the two.We also got an Autumn Spice Chai Latte which was delicious.If youre a donut lover, I definitely recommend this spot!

Very tasty, unique little donut/coffee shop. I ordered a lavender iced latte and it was delicious! I didnt try any donuts or sweets because I wasnt feeling up to it that day, but my friends absolutely loved the sweets they ordered. I hope to go again if Im ever in town again.

CUTE SHOP, GREAT STAFF!! Donuts were creative but they use a brioche dough that makes a denser donut and I prefer a lighter yeast donut. Never had a brioche donut before - I’m sure this would be delightful for some people, just not my thing. Pop tart was very good.

Nice added bakery to downtown Charleston. The apple fritter and vanilla bean latte were very good. I did not like seeing the flies swarming around the pastries.

Gah, I wanted to like this place. The donuts were super expensive, but I held out hope that they would be worth it. The ambiance of the place is great and the woman who was working was super nice and knowledgeable. The toppings were delicious- but the donut base, the square plain base that is the base of all their donuts was extremely lackluster. It was thick (too chewy), doughy, tasteless, and detracted from the nice finish.

This place is amazing! I got the cinnamon bun cold brew and some pastries. I gotta tell you, the cinnamon bun cold brew was fantastic! Dont sleep on their coffee. The donuts and pastries are delicious. Im in town for the weekend but going back tomorrow

A must-stop! The donuts from BKedSHoP are SO yummy and a little adventurous! We ordered the animal cookie, coconut cream, cookies & cream, cereal milk, french toast waffle, and maple bacon--as well as a pop tart. I was a little weary about the french toast waffle donut at first, mainly because it has cream inside, but OH MY GOODNESS. You HAVE to try it! So delicious--couldve eaten a whole box of just those!! Whichever donuts you end up picking, be sure to add on a poptart--that was probably my favorite part!

By far hands down best donut shop. It was my weekly routine to visit every Friday or Saturday morning. My family loved going here every time they visited. Everything is tasty: donuts, poptarts, pretzels, cream top drinks. I just moved away and will definitely miss this place.

I’m a rare reviewer and I never give five stars. However, if you’re vegan especially, this company is outstanding. I highly recommend giving them a try.My only disclaimer is if you’re a person who only likes super soft Krispy Kreme type doughnuts, these have a bit of a bite. (But that’s the best part in my opinion).

Maybe just not my thing. Very dry, dense and thick...all you can taste is the bread, no flavor. Hard to pull apart or cut through. Got half dozen to try several flavors, ended up throwing 75% of it away...waste of $20.. suspect there are better options out there. At $3 a pop had much higher expectations

Delicious vegan and non vegan donuts for the entire family. We tried the vegan animal cookie and maple brown sugar and the non vegan Black Forest, maple bacon, chocolate frosted, and OG. We arrived 10 minutes before closing and there was still a wide variety remaining.

Another pretentious bakery that serves over priced dried goods. I took my family in for some donuts last time I was in Folly on vacation. FIRST OFF…I don’t mind spending more money on anything that is of a higher quality than its competition. I would much rather spend more money on something that stands out and is better versus saving money on a run of the mill product. If given the option, I will always go for the more expensive, better quality item over its less expensive counterpart. But….their donuts lacked any flavor and moisture for that matter. It was reminiscent of going to a old fashioned donut shop and getting something from their discount bin. The section they have where they put out day old baked goods. You could go to any other local donut shop and cut their donuts in to a square and you would have a better, probably more tastier donut than spending $3+ on one of these.Plus, this place really lacks any customer service. I commented multiple times that I didn’t know what I wanted. That I didn’t know what any of these flavors included. Never once did the employee offer up any details on what they had or suggestions. She never once explained what she had in the case and any flavors they offered. Save yourself money and time by going to any other local shop or even a Walmart and get better tasting baked goods!

These are some of my favorite donuts in Charleston! If you like doughy (vs cake donuts) donuts this is your place! Parking was easy to find right outside on a Saturday morning. The flavors offered are out of this world. They even have homemade pop tarts. My friends also loved it- even the cake donut lover! Will definitely be back to try their next creations.

Awesome selection of baked goods! The donuts were fantastic, cinnamon rolls and pretzels and pop tarts (more of flakey pastry) all delicious. Make sure to get there early for full selection!!

Two things first; 1. I travel a LOT for work and 2. I have an infatuation for doughnuts.This place may be my favorite doughnut shop Ive found in America. Luckily for me I was traveling with family this time so I got to try six different donuts this am.The apple fritter is for sure the best fritter Ive ever had. Ever-so crispy on the exterior, perfectly dense dough, and non overpowering glaze.The Bavarian creme was awesome; much more complex a filling than just pudding. It was a mild vanilla bean cream. So good.The maple waffle thing was awesome too. With a creamy maple filling. This was the sweetest of our bunch but still had a pure maple flavor, not just sugar.Our lattes were great too. two shots of espresso made complimented the whole milk perfectly.Lastly, the sunlight and houseplants made the space full of morning joy.Im glad I dont live nearby otherwise Id be 1000lbs from going here every day.Well done guy and gals. We recently visited and spent a fortune on donuts to have something fun and special for a family birthday. Sadly, the donuts were disappointing. My husband and son had to microwave them to soften them. They are not light/airy and the only flavor is on the top. They look pretty but they are tasteless. It’s very disappointing because I REALLY wanted to like these! The other issue was the staff person. She was working a Saturday...guessing she wasn’t too excited about that or had stayed up too late. She never smiled and had no personality or customer service skills. I would rather fight the car line at donut chain or deal with the crowds downtown for better service and better “designer” donuts. Hopefully the reviews will help them improve and only get better. Good luck!

Great staff but the donuts were disappointing. The flavor options were interesting, but the texture of the donuts left much to be desired. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but I think Ill try a more traditional dough donut next time.

I really liked the atmosphere, it is a very relaxing and chic place. Their coffee is pretty good. I tried their original glazed and maple sugar donut and they were pretty decent but they were a bit dry even after asked for them to be heated. For the price of one donut for $3+ I was expecting them to be better.

I tried the chocolate ganache and chocolate sea salt and both were dense, not very moist and low flavor. If you like cake-like donuts, you may like these. I don’t live in town; otherwise, I’d probably give it another try during the earlier part of the day to see if they’re more moist then.

I really enjoyed my donut. This is an upscale donut shop with all types of sweets and flavors for everyone. Loves the decor and the feel of the shop A bit pricey, but I understand, my donut was exquisite.

A cute little doughnut shop that serves excellent coffee and tea. The doughnuts were extreme. They had fun flavors choices that were awesome and super yummy. Definitely will be returning to try the other flavors. My favorite thing was the cherry blossom iced tea.

These square, cake like treats are super yummy. Of course theyre a little more expensive than your chain stores, but well worth it.

I recommend arriving first thing when the doughnuts are fresh. The doughnuts are really good....but when I saw the crazy amount of flies sitting on the pastries, swarming in the case and saw them being served to customers, that was enough for me to change my mind and leave. I understand that you cant control them 100% but please dont serve customers doughnuts that have had flies just hanging out on them! Maybe get some kind of cover for the doughnuts in the case.

Doughnuts were great. Cinnamon rolls were good. Went here two times during our stay in Charleston. Unfortunately, the second time the cinnamon rolls was not as good as the first day.

We went here for vegan donuts for our anniversary. We purchased one of each (which they offered 7 at this trip). Each was delicious and I’ve had normal donuts in the past and my husband eats normal ones and could not tell a difference they were that good.

Staff didnt seem to care we were there. Donuts good but not amazing.

These donuts are so unique and yummy too! They have a variety of flavors like lemon poppy seed as well as traditional flavors. Its always clean inside, and the employees are very friendly. I havent tried anything other than the donuts, but everything I have tried has been great.

Instead of wedding cake for our eco friendly boho island wedding, we had donuts from BKeD SHoP, they were a huge hit and absolutely fabulous! Thank you to the owner and staff for working with me on planning and choosing unique flavors. We couldnt be happier with the way everything turned out!

The building is beautifully decorated inside and things are arrange so the space is open and airy. Once you walk in, everything smells amazing. For my vegan friends, this place is an absolute gem! There are 6 flavors of vegan donuts, there are vegan milks for coffee, salads and even vegan sandwiches in the works. Everyone who works here was super friendly and knowledge about their products. The chocolate strawberry vegan donut was amazing, and the coffee was so fresh and flavorful!

Ill be there first thing in admit that I have donuts but even these have me stealing bites off my kids donuts. But there tomato pretzels after to die for! Everything from the look of the shop, taste and shape of the donuts lends to an unforgettable experience!

My husband and I live above this place and eat here all the time. Always a great experience. The coffee is amazing (I recommend the lavender latte) and the donuts are also delicious. My husbands favorite is the strawberry frosted or any fritter and mine the OG and cereal and milk. They also have a selection of vegan donuts which is nice if that’s your style. This is a go to when we have visitors as well. So yummy!

Had the best ice caramel macchiato here!!! The girl working is super nice and helpful and donuts were great too my personal favorite was the Mexican cake. So good!!!!

To start off... the shop was setup nicely and very clean but we came for the doughnuts and was very disappointed. These are not doughnuts by any stretch of anyones imagination. They are more of a very dense bread with icing. At the very steep price of $28 a dozen we expected to be blown away...BkeDSHop do you offer refunds? No seriously.

The BEST!! I love everything about these donuts. They are not overly sweet and the density/texture is perfect! I have never had a donut quite like these. The coffee is also incredible- I come for coffee at least once a week. The location is not ideal and parking can be a pain but it is still worth it and has not stopped me yet 😂

We got 2 dozen “doughnuts” for our sons birthday party. These were not doughnuts, they were basically round and square pieces of bread with frosting.

The photos looked incredible so I had to give them a try. Unfortunately when I arrived, they did not have many donuts to chose from. The donut was very dense and not super flavorful. I’m going to give it another try with the hopes of them having more donuts.

Great Yeast Doughnuts! I believe they are brioche donuts by the consistency.. A most go in Charleston for sure. Amazing coffee too.. very playful coffee beverages. Great prices for a quick breakfast.

Amazing! I had been wanting to try their donuts for quite some time now, and am so glad I did! They had a good variety of vegan donuts, which was initially what brought us in, the jelly filled, vegan donut was the best Ive ever had! They also had a good variety of soft pretzels too.

Astonishingly good handcrafted donuts and pastries, with espresso drinks. Savory elaborated pretzels round out the offerings and make a nice contrast to the sweets. Friendly staff, awesome treats, whats not to love?

Best. Donuts. Ever. I used to live in Columbia and would always pick up a donut at Soda City. Now, living in Pittsburgh, every time Im in Charleston I go out of my way to stop by and pick up donuts. I love the rotating selection and new flavors are always fun! Staff are really nice and the shop itself is so bright and open. The coffee is also *really* good.

Wow! Delicious! I didnt like the Boston Cream, but the Peach Cobbler was amazing! So was the French Toast Waffle! Insanely good OJ and coffee, too!

Hands down best donuts in Charleston and frankly, one of the best donuts Ive had around the country. They make great unique flavors and combination while still staying true to what a donut is supposed to be and not trying to evolve it into something else.

This place was amazing. They have their donuts laid out for you to choose from and they all looked incredible. Got the sprinkles with chocolate and at first the host messed the order up and gave us sea salt covered donuts. Once we corrected the order, we found the donuts to be very good and rich in flavor. I had one of their chocolate chip cookies in which case it was thick and delicious. My wife had a pretzel and their salted caramel macchiato which she said was delicious.The atmosphere was awesome, they had cute little pictures of toast and donuts on the walls so you could get a little chuckle out of them while you ate and they had a nice homey feeling to there little shop. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good donut shop.

This donut shop has its pros and cons... I ordered 6 assorted donuts, an apple fritter, and a special latte. The donut flavors were interesting and tasty however the texture of the donuts were quite bread like and somewhat dense. The apple fritter contained zero apples which was quite disappointing as the dough and glaze were delicious. I would have loved some apple pieces in my apple fritter. As for the special latte I would say it was good but nothing special. Customer service was good and the girl behind the counter answered any questions I had. There were other non-sweet options such as pretzels or stuffed rolls that I did not try, but if I were to venture there again I think I would give those a shot. Overall, from my first impression, its an ok place.

Staff is always friendly and passionate about answering questions on their products. Their apple fritter and cortado are the best in Charleston! Ill drive the extra 10 minutes for their apple fritter and cortado.

I really like this place and it is a great walk from our office but they dont offer any sort of discount for bringing your own mug... I just think its a shame to pay $4 for a cup of drip coffee refill and a little odd that they have bamboo straws to be environmental but dont encourage people to bring their own cups? Also the iced coffee has a bit of an inconsistent taste but when its good its really good!

The shop is very cute and the donuts were nicely displayed but....The donuts were not good at all! I had the raspberry filled, with every bite I kept looking for the raspberry! There was a tiny pink stain toward the center of the cakey donut that tasted a bit like raspberry but that is all. At a minimum I would have liked a dollop of raspberry filling! My husband bought a chocolate glazed with sprinkles. It also was dry and cakey and lacked an adequate amount of glaze. So disappointed! Will not return.

My jaw is hurting from eating one donut! It’s extremely dense and not light at all. My daughter had a hard time even taking a bite out of one because it was so tough and chewy. Donuts are our favorite and I’m not even tempted to eat another. Very much an over priced donut.

I’m not a fan of the typical soft donuts, so when I stumbled into this place a year ago we’ve never looked back. They have hands down the best donuts, pop tarts, and other baked treats. Get there earlier in the day as they often sell out.

Probably the best donuts Ive ever had. The strawberry glazed is simply ridiculous! While youre there Id recommend the Vietnamese coffee. It reminds me of a Cuban iced coffee. The owners are very nice and walk you through the donuts procurement process. Lol. Lots of options... Flavors from spiced chocolate to fruity pebbles. Enjoy!

So confused. All these reviews are raving but we went in and they had a total of 2 donuts left. Not 2 flavors, 2 donuts. And they had only been open for about 3 hours when we got there.They did still have some pretzels and we ordered some of those. After trying them, we realized why that was all that they had left. You could just buy bread from the grocery store and it would have more flavor. They were more just bread than pretzel anyway. These pretzels were just meh.But how does a place called donut shop run out of donuts three hours into the day? And they didnt even explain why they had no selection. I asked the cashier if that was all they had and she just said yeah............I dont know why we had such a bad experience compared to everyone else here but we probably will be looking for another donut shop around town.

This was my nephews choice when we ask where he wants to go. A great choice it was. If I lived in the area I would be here all the time.

10/10 donuts. They carry a few vegan options there but most of their items are not vegan. A few of the donuts have kind of a weird texture but theyre still all pretty tasty!
