My wife and I stumbled across this store. The different selection of honey available were amazing. I had no idea there were so many different (natural) types of honey and the flavors varied quite a bit.We decided to do a mead tasting having never tried mead before. The flavors were great. Everything from a beer like taste to a dessert liquor flavor with sweetness.The staff was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions. I would highly recommend stopping in, even if it is just to do a mead tasting.

Walked by Savannah Bee Company, Mead tastings. Why not?? Tried six Meads all delicious. Many varieties and flavors of Meads. Purchased a few to take home. Great selection and sizes of teas, honey and honey products. Purchased more honey products to take north. Staff knowledgeable and very friendly!! Would highly recommend!

Beautiful store with good selection of honey products. They do a $12 mead tasting and it was amazing. Highly recommend it. You get to taste 6 meads each with a decent portion. Definitely worth a stop in Charleston!

I stumbled into this gem to look at the honey - I stayed for the mead tasting. Jackie (I hope Im remembering her name correctly) was delightful and so was the mead. I walked out with three bottles and could have bought more if Id been willing to carry them on a hot and humid day.

FAVORITE SHOP EVER. and i mean ever. and i love to shop. Savannah Bee Company has the best aesthetic, the best honey selection, the best mead tastings, the best employees! If I lived in Charleston or Savannah I would absolutely want to work there just for fun & the experience! I love that they regularly switch up the meads to try! I have done 3 tastings since last November & they’re great! I love that you can literally sample basically everything in this shop! The honey pours are delicious, too hard to choose a favorite! Their body butters made with royal jelly from the queen bee is SO soft & smells INCREDIBLE! also, this is one of the best parts! you can adopt a honey bee for only $1! so adopt tons & help us keep honey around & the bees alive! CANT WAIT TO GO BACK ASAP!!

Absolutely amazing experience. Met Angelica, drank some mead, learned something, and really had a blast. Not exactly what we expected when shopping. But lucky for us we met someone that knows her craft and freakin loves it. We bought a few bottles of mead, and picked up some early Christmas gifts. Then Angelica packed everything up for us while we knocked around Market street. Then picked up our stuff in the way back to the car. Which I really appreciated.Great Job Angelica we just to make sure you know your passion, knowledge and GREAT customer service didn’t go unnoticed.☺️

We love the soap here and also the honey. They have so much to pick from. The live bee hives are in Savanah. This is where we first purchased the soap and honey. We then ordered it online but shipping made it so pricey. We made sure to make a purchase here to avoid extra costs.

My kiddos had a blast here. I cant remember the womans name that helped us, but she was absolutely amazing! She took them under her wing right when we walked in and showed them the bee hive, told them interesting facts, and was totally patient with them. They adopted two bees - Flower and Zest-Bee! Thanks for being the highlight of my kids evening!

Stopped by for honey and mead tasting. I enjoyed their honey selection greatly, especially the Sourwood. They have a mead tasting where you try 6 different types of mead. All were unique and delicious in their own ways. For example, one tasted like a piña colada and another had a habanero kick. Fun store!

Its a cute little place. Not much different from the other location except you can try different meads. Lots of great skin care products and really nice staff.

Savannah Bee Company is one of those rare places you wish would be at once more popular and less popular at the same time. They have fantastic honey, honey products, and source some really good mead. We come here every time were in town.

VERY NICE STORE WITH GREAT PRODUCTS. However, on 3/2/21 we encountered one of the poorest excuses for a sales person. Zero personality and obviously unhappy to be working. I would be coaching my young staff on customer courtesy and to.leave their attitude outside. We did make 6 purchases in our group.We will return again, out of sheer curiosity.

I tried the mead tasting and honey tasting. Sarah and Angelica were amazing. They were super friendly, warm and welcoming. They both exceeded my expectations in customer service. They were very helpful and went head over heels to answer my questions and tend to me.

Always a treat to stop in when visiting Charleston. Mead flights and honey tastings. A friendly staff. Even during the pandemic we were able to refill on our house ware essentials. One of the highlights of stopping on a busy street!

My husband and I popped in on a whim and are so happy we did! Angelica’s customer service was spectacular, explaining things to us, honey samples, and everything unique and eclectic about bees, honey, and mead! Highly recommend a visit.

I came across this place while walking around Charleston and ended up enjoying my time there. Not only do they sell bee and honey products, but they also have a mead bar where you can sample a variety of meads and cysers. I enjoyed all of the meads I tried, but I like the SBC Tupelo Blossom the most.

The employees are very informative about mead. The tasting is only $7 to try different flavors of mead. They also sell honey, body buttters, t-shirts and etc.

Savannah Bee Company on King Street in Charleston is a great place for honey, gifts, and mead. I like the concept of this store and the variety of different items that they have available. Everything here is fun and delicious. The staff here is very welcoming and accommodating and makes sure that you have everything that you need. This is a cool place to shop.

Had a tasting here with a very helpful server. I was kinda bummed there were no chairs. But it went by pretty quick and for $10 its hard to beat!

The amount of honey and honey-related products is insane. San Palmetto is one of my favorite honeys, and take the time to try out all the honey, the honey butter, and the Mead testing (this banana coffee Mead was my favorite).Im looking up the Arizona location to try and order some stuff when I get back to San Diego. If you got one near you, go and check it out.

Staff knew all about the different honeys and helped us pick the right one with antioxidants properties in it. Very clean and friendly.

Stopped in while visiting Charleston for a college tour. Being from Savannah it was so nice to see a bit of home in another beautiful Southern city. Everyone working there had the Southern charm our two cities are known for, too! Great shopping experience!

This has to be one of the coolest shops in Downtown Charleston. All their produces are made from honey. Some produced locally and some imported. The staff and super friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming and all take their jobs seriously. Who knew bees and honey were so complex. Stop in to learn about different types of honey production, taste the flavours of honey produced from different types of pollen and try a sampler of mead (alcohol beverages) produced from honey. Oh did I say you can also have beautiful skin from their skin care line!!

I havent been to the third new location. But Ive seen the first two and I must say their employees are outstanding. Theyre knowledgeable and really seem to care that theyre doing this. And the product is amazing. And thats on the higher price range but I still feel its manageable.at the very least you should take a look yourself

Absolutely outstanding my wife and I had a wonderful time. We have a two year old little boy how loved playing in the kids play aria. It was so nice to find a ace where everyone in the family was enjoying them selves. Out son was happily playing while we where happily sampling the different meads they offered.

You can taste 6 meads for $13. Due to Covid, they require you to put away your glasses when you are done (!)?). Save the bees!!!🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

Dont go! They will steal all your money. They let you sample everything! Then you will want it all! And then you will check your bank account. Seriously though, everyone is great and so are the products.

So much fun we did the mead tasting for $10 to try 6 meads. Tasted different honeys for free which were delicious. The small honeys are 3oz for carry on travel.

I can totally understand what the buzz is all about with the Savannah Bee Company after stopping by here on Second Sunday. We made a bee-line across King St after we spotted the golden glow of honey emanating from the windows, a result of the sun as it worked its way across the afternoon sky. I knew right away that I was getting myself into a sticky situation when the kids walked in and began working the room to tell me all of the things that they wanted. The queen bee wasnt with us unfortunately, so there was little to no order, and I caved and bought a few things to return to the hive with. I will be sure to bring my honey next time so she and I can sample a few of their adult concoctions.

This review is specifically for Hailey (hopefully spelt correctly). Super sweet and intelligent gal who had a wealth of knowledge to share with us. I was truly impressed by how much she knew about about both honey and mead. We whimsically stopped in just expecting to pick up some spiffy, rare honey and ended up learning so much along the way and tasting an interesting selection of meads. I definitely recommend checking out this unique shop!

I only buy my honey from the Savannah Bee Company. Im not local anymore, but when Im in town, I love sampling their flavors. The staff are helpful and friendly. I havent tried the mead yet, but if its the same quality as their honey, Im sure youll love it!

You can taste test many different honeys. My favourite was the sour wood. You also can sample many of their body products like lip balls, body lotions, body butters, and face creams! Great atmosphere.

Loved this location, especially. We walked in 15 minutes before closing and the sales team member was so gracious to answer our questions and provide us with samples. I was with a group of three others and we all walked out with some sort of edible honey or cream. I was really excited to see that Savannah Bee stocks a beeswax leather waterproofing product - that alone made the stop into Savannah bee worth it.

$10 mead tasting! Mead is a fermented beverage dating back to early human civilization and is beginning to make a comeback in popularity. Mead can be dry like a beer or sweet like a cider. The tasting here gives you an idea of the range of flavors, including some experimental ones (peanut butter and jelly sandwich mead anyone? Yes!). Not easy to find a place where you can sample mead, so drop ib and give it a try!

Went here this past Saturday and it was extremely hot in this building. Absolutely miserable going inside. It was cooler outside then it was inside. No excuse since it was 70 degrees outside for it to be that hot inside. Even the employees were sweating. Overall miserable experince. I suggest if you actually want to go to a good savannah bee company then go to either of the two in Savannah at least they have the AC on with THE MAIN DOORS CLOSED. You can actually shop and enjoy yourself at the others, but not this one. This place is stuffy, hot, and miserable. None of us will be returning to this location.

More than meets the eye. Its not just honey and honey cream. They also have mead and mead tastings. Right now they are moving locations so its a bit messy. They havent been serving mead for a bit. Absolutely loooove Savannah Bee. Same as store in Savannah but, they have a couple Charleston honeys not sure if these are also available in other states. Staff is very friendly and allowed us to sample a bunch of flavors. Honey is sooo delicious. I absolutely love their lip balm set. Makes a great gift.
