Burris Liquor Store on Meeting Street in Charleston is a great place to go for all things liquor and bottles when you are in the area. They have been consistent and reliable in their quality. The staff here is very friendly and willing to help when you need it.

Won’t go anywhere else! First of all easy and plenty of parking! Amazing selection! There is so much to choose from and the best prices I found anywhere. I love bourbon and this will be my go to spot. Plus to top it all off the service was great! Very friendly and you definitely get that family feel. If you’re shopping somewhere else, you’re missing out. Absolutely recommend this place!

My husband and I were in Charleston recently and were shopping for a very special, rare bottle of bourbon. We went into Burris and asked and they said, I dont think we do but let us check in the back. We were thrilled they found a bottle!!! The entire staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and they went above and beyond in customer service. They will definitely be on our stop next time we are in Charleston!

I had a terrible experience today at this establishment! I walked in asked the man behind the counter if they had the Eric Church Jack Daniels he said yes then he looked at my friend who walked in behind me and said I can only sell 1 bottle Despite the fact that I was there 1st and we explained that we rode together, moreover our last names arent the same. He refused to deal with me so this point I became very upset as he would sell to my male friend despite I was there first. I was aggravated and wasnt a Southern Lady at this and stormed. Out... I think extreme poor customer service and I have been in management most my life couldnt imagine treating anyone like this. He told the other man take the other 5 bottles off the shelf its going to be like this.First, its not a signed bottle its a limited addition bottle with Erics name on it. I will never grace that store again and will notify all I know about poor treatment.Angry in SC

If you are on Meeting St downtown Charleston stop here. The store has a great selection and reasonably priced. The staff are great folks with stories to share. They still have a lot of style...they carried my purchases to the car. Nice to know this still exists.

Staple in downtown Charleston. Unique selections plus all the regular spirits. Parking is easy in the rear of the store. Old-school establishment that has been around forever in a newer building

Fantastic selection and decent prices, which comes as a bit of surprise because of the downtown location. They have a super convenient parking lot behind the building and its easy in easy out. Excellent bourbon selection.

I am visiting from out of town and went to this store based on the excellent reviews. I was not disappointed. As you may know, its almost impossible to find any of the Weller bourbons. In VA you can forget about it. Well, Kelly found a bottle of Weller 107 for me and I could not be happier. Service here is second to none. Thank you, Kelly. Burris Liquor is arguably the finest, most important Liquor store in Charleston ( maybe the state) for one simple reason...a deep inventory of high end brands. You see Burris has long been the primary supplier to Charleston’s legendary restaurants. All the finest Bourbon, Vodka, Rum, Gin and Tequilla brands fight to be in these high end establishments and Burris is their primary supplier. Owner Kelly Burris is Charleston’s “Lord of Liquor”, with deep distributor relationships and access to brands you won’t find in any other store....period. As a bourbon aficionado I find rare bottles here that I never find anywhere else. In fact I just bought a bottle of Old Fitzgerald 11 year old that was slated for KY only release and Kelly had it.... Amazing! I’m in LOUISVILLE twice a year and Burris Liquor has as good a selection as any store in Kentucky. Kelly and his team take care of every customer like Charleston family. Look no further. This is the store!

Lots and lots of choices,and samples on the day we went. Friendly,but professional has a bathroom. Love the pictures on the wall. James brown, Muhammad Ali....and so many more.

The gentlemen that run this place are awesome. They have no nonsense customer service and will order things to be in stock specifically for you if you visit more than a couple times. Fantastic and friendly.

I have been going here on and off for years, and recently took my dad who was visiting from KY...I knew that if anyone had the bourbon he was looking for it would be Burris. They did not disappoint, of course! I will not go anywhere else now and a trip to Burris with my dad will be a tradition for us in the future. AMAZING BOURBON COLLECTION!!! Ive visited 24 liquor stores in the area over the last 2 weeks searching for a bottle of Elmer T Lee. Lucky enough to be directed to Kelly at Burris Liquors, he was the epitome of Charleston hospitality. Not only did he hold it for me until I could drive down, I was mesmerized by the bourbon selection. In addition, he went into the back and pulled a couple of more rare bottles for me... NEEDLESS TO SAY, Ill be making regular trips down to this Meeting St. GEM! OH, AND WOTHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST PRICES IVE COME ACROSS IN SC!!!!!

Everyone was incredibly helpful, friendly and they had exactly what I needed. I dont think they have super high-end liquor, but if you need the fixings for a solid night Burris will be perfect. I return and send friends whenever Im in Charleston.

This place is absolutely terrible. One of the worst stores in town because they only cater to bums and drug addicts who come in 10 times a day or young rough types only in the store taking up space trying to cash their work checks. They make all of their money through wholesale business to local bars and restaurants so walk-in retail business is not a priority and they treat their rare decent customers like garbage. Their employees are all nice people but all of them have been working there for decades with no raises or respect or value with the exception of the store manager Kelly Burris who is completely unprofessional, incompetent and disrespectful in his position and only has the job because of his family and his deep lack of ability to do anything else. They claim to have the best whiskey selection and prices in Charleston but thats far from true; all of their specialty allocations are reserved for big bar business or personal friends so if youre a customer looking to spend money on rare bottles they will lie to your face or they simply wont let you buy any of them. They have a pathetic wine selection and they are constantly calling the police on people loitering outside, fighting, harassing people for money or being too drunk to function because the store is so desperate to take everyones $2 they serve the same individual several times in a row. Overall this business should not even function as a retail destination and every other store in town offers an infinitely better customer experience- better selection, better prices and you dont have to deal with someone as incoherently unqualified as Kelly Burris.

This place may have a great selection but you can forget being able to acquire anything that they deem rare. Was browsing the selection of bourbon and asked for a brand, the delivery guy stated that he just sat down a case and proceeded to go get me a bottle. One of the managers stopped him and said they had no such bourbon. Then proceeded to tell me that they were out. Im not stupid...and its ok if that product was spoken for. Simply treat your customers with respect instead of insulting them and lying to my face. The delivery guy knows what products are being delivered and has a list in hand! I have no respect for liars...Ill never go back to this place when other stores in town have far better customer service.
