My husband and I wanted a custom built-in bookshelf constructed. My husband has done quite a bit of woodworking himself, and he designed the bookshelf that he intended on building. However, with a baby on the way our time was limited and we decided to outsource the woodworking job (not easy for my perfectionist husband to let go of!) We worked with Andrew at Applied Woodcraft, sent him the design, and Andrew responded by asking great questions about details, made recommendations about materials, details, etc. and still let my husband be involved in making the ultimate decisions. When they came to do the work, they were clearly very detail-oriented and took the work very seriously. They had done the bulk of the custom woodwork at their shop, so that the details and finishing were all that was left to do in our house. This cut down on the mess and time spent in our home. When they were in our house, they were very intentional in cleaning up any mess made, and gathering their tools at the end of the day. Andrew and his team were courteous, kind, easy to talk to, and most importantly, very talented at their craft. He also kept us updated and informed along the way. We love our new custom built-in bookshelves, and we certainly highly recommend Andrew and Applied Woodcraft.

Andrew does amazing work and I cannot recommend him highly enough. When we first met, I had thoughts and Pinterest images which he translated that into 3D drawings followed by a finished book case that exceeded my expectations. He managed all aspects of the job - construction, electrical, finishing and installation - with professionalism and a keen eye for details. Andrew also created a couple other custom pieces for my house that perfectly matched the aesthetics I was looking for and having trouble finding commercially. Andrew is an amazing Craftsman and partner who I hope to work with again... (Just need to invent some new projects for my home. 🙂)
