This company definitely dont know how to run business. They never call you back once you want to get estimate for your equipment repair.
They charge 140 for 30 min they call it a travel charge..I had them fix my kitchen oven first they told me pilot was bad they changed it CHARGED me and still did not work..they r a bunch of liers that have no idea how to fix commercial equipment they just keep changing things till it works even if it dont need to be changed. The manager Joel has no clue how to do buisness with people and if I were the owner I would have fired him a long time ago..DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO FIX YOUR EQUIPMENT YOU WILL BE SRY
Have used Whaley for years. Many of the other negative other reviews amaze me. I have been in business over thirty years am lucky to have the staff I do but it seems Charlotte is currently an impossible job market.I am sure if you can recommend anyone to Whaley they would appreciate it. The fact they are backed up over two weeks should be a clue. They are turning down money due to inability to get help.
If i could give this company a zero star i would! charged me 174.00 trip fee for 19 miles!!!! then claims my fryer was dirty! fryer was BRAND NEW!!! just because the tech could not figure out problem, Fryer quit a day later....where is Whaley?? NO WHERE!!! had to call another company! Be aware of hidden charges and techs that are new and dont know about products!!
Had Whaleys technician Willie out to one of our stores in Morganton 3 different times over the past couple of months. Good technician with a calm demeanor. Appreciate his work and ability to get us back up and running quickly. I dont know if all their techs are like Willie but could recommend him anytime. Would like to see the technicians have the ability to either print or email receipts/invoices when credit card is given at end of job but other than that we have been satisfied with the field work.
I run a restaurant in Plaza Midwood and twice I have called to schedule service at my location and neither times have they bothered telling me that they were 2-3 weeks out from making appointments. That is pertinent information I should know before I waste my time waiting for a tech that will probably never show.

They charged me $218 in travel fees stating that its $99 an hour for labor while the technician is traveling in addition to .80 per mile. Quality work but prices are outrageous
Last week whaley service tech was called to check our underperforming freezer, he diagnosed it to a bad compressor left a $3,200 estimate, charging 3x cost of a compressor and similarly marked up the cost of refrigerant and after adding generous labor, they added another $460 as misc charges!To top it off he left both hi and low side freon valves and caps lose to allow slow deterioration of performance. The freezer deteriorated to room temperature in a week spoiling over $1500 in food.Further, he away my maintenance logs saved near the compressor.Finally when my usual tech was available, he came in and re-charged the system withI fix it for ~$10 in refrigerant and 4 hrs of labor. Guess what, the compressor is perfectly fine!Remember this when you call Whaley for anything.
Way overpriced and unorganized! I had to call 2 times to check on part, then a tech shows one week later and said he didnt have the seal?? The next tech shows up a few days later with 2 seals...So this tech calls another tech to find out whats going on meanwhile this is all happening while we are conducting business. They have replaced 3 seals in my cooler drawer and the last one didnt last 24 hours! Now they are trying to take me to court for 306.06 (for the last seal that failed in 24 hours.) The tech that installed it had to call for help after trying to install for 2hrs..... What a joke.....Good luck in court my entire staff watched the tech install this incorrectly! Maybe I should take them to court for 800.00 in food I had to throw away because of the tech having cooler open so long! Nah thats not how I do business.
Seriously overpriced and they have forgotten to schedule me twice after calling. Then once I call back and they admit that they forgot to schedule me, I cant get first call the next day and my dishwasher goes down. They finally get a tech out, charge a ridiculous travel fee (over $100?! Im sorry your tech had to rearrange their schedule but that is not my fault), then they dont get back with me with the promised parts quote. It is time to try someone new.
I was not happy with the warranty work they performed in early part off December 2014 on my Bevles CS82-CH8 which had blower motor burn out, the tech didnt knew how to even diagnose the problem. They took over 3 weeks to get my unit running but same problem again not heating to right temp.Called to report problem and was told that its warranty expired on 3rd Jan 2015 and it is not under warranty and customer has to pay for the work they did not performed correctly in first place.Beware of this company, this is my second experience with them. First was with the Delfield EVO line.
