The delivery gentlemen were professional, careful, efficient & considerate of our time. The dryer is a dream. Today my towels dried in a few minutes instead of hours. Quietly! There’s a character limit on Google Reviews, so I would encourage you to go see the full review on Yelp.In short, Plaza Appliance Mart provided me awful service on multiple occasions. They did the following:- Called to schedule my delivery multiple times and did not show up. Did not call to let me know they weren’t coming.- When they did finally come to install my cooktop, the installer came at 9 am when I specifically asked him to come after 3 (see picture for proof of this request)- Installer did not reinstall the downdraft pipe and left without explanation. I had to pay an HVAC company $450 to reinstall the pipe.- Did not follow up with me after I complained about these issuesGabe Valentine and his manager, Curtis, are a couple of buffoons. Steer clear of them at all cost!

Upon entry we were immediately greeted and directed to an associate based on our needs. The associate (Gabe) was very professional and knowledgeable on the appliances and displayed amazing customer service. The store was well laid out and the service was quick and efficient. Everything was told to us upfront and there were no hidden fees or questions left to be asked. I went there and left out in a better mood based off their services alone.

This store is NOT attentive to the customers needs. You will be waiting or your order for months. Then miraculously, something will happen and you will have to wait longer. Appliance will get damaged or any changes to the appliance will take forever. You will be given excuse after excuse of why your product was not ready or delivered. Emails and phone calls will go without a response back. I was told the door on my washer was terribly damaged, so I wanted a picture of it. Didnt get it. On top of that the sales person left for the day with no update back to me. 3 times I have arranged for someone to be at my house for delivery. 3 times no delivery.. Save yourself the pain and stress and endless excuses, go to another company!!!I have a microwave on order to be delivered and installed. Really thinking hard about canceling that order.

Purchased a wall oven was charged for full installation, we installed ourselves, had installer plug the unit in to see if it worked, we had removed the old unit ourselves, will never purchase at this store again, very dissatisfied, encourage others to not shop there. They did not install the unit We had to remove the back of the existing wall to accommodate the new unit I encourage persons who I purchasing products to go elsewhere

Had an opportunity to work with Will in the appliance section. To say the least he was a life savior!!! We have been waiting for MONTHS!!! For a wall oven and Plaza Appliance Mart came through. They will definitely be our go to in the future.

We were in desperate need of a Bosch cooktop to replace one fried by lightning. I called all over the state; probably 20 appliance dealers in 10 cities. None to be found. A chip issue. And then I called Plaza Appliance in Charlotte. Gabriel Valentine took my call and within minutes found what we needed, in their Matthews store!! Best news ever. He offered a great price, verified the condition of the new unit, took care of the invoicing details, and remained communicative throughout. The next morning, we drove from Raleigh to pick up the unit. He met us at the Matthews store and had it and the owner’s manual ready. Throughout, he was incredibly appreciative of our business. He can’t imagine how even more glad we were that he (and Plaza Appliance) had the cooktop we needed! Could not have had a better experience!

I love this place. If you know what you want, super easy to get in and out and know the delivery and set up are taken care of by people who know what they are doing. And they show up when they say they will.

In July of 2020 I purchased three Bertazzoni appliances and a wine cooler for my kitchen remodel. I purchased a refrigerator, range and dishwasher. The appliances were installed in September of 2020. The refrigerator quit working two weeks after installation. It is one year and a month later and I still do not have a working refrigerator. I have been forced to deal with Bertazzoni and after sending the wrong part four times, they still refuse to replace the broken refrigerator. Plaza has not accepted responsibility for this purchase. I should have been given a working refrigerator and Plaza should have been the one to deal with fixing the one that is not working and fighting with the manufacturer. I am beyond disappointed and would not recommend this business.

Very helpful, the sales person was excellent I was looking for the small microwave for over the kitchen stove no one said mam, whirl pool makes that model and there is a shortage on parts, and 16 /20 weeks wait if you still would like to have that model. WOW I was floored thats why I cant find it ANYWHERE. Thank you plaza, THEY REALLY KNOW THERE PRODUCTS, SUPER.

Will was awesome and very patient with me! I ordered the range and microwave that I needed and cant wait to receive them. Will was so easy to talk with and very pleasant. Wow, he answered the phone in just a couple of rings. In late December 2020, I purchased a stainless steel, fingerprint-resistant GE Profile dishwasher to replace my old unit (which was 20 years old). What an upgrade! I love my new dishwasher. Also, Id like to give a shout-out to Jennie Storms (one of the Sales Associates at the 5431 Monroe Road location). Jennie was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Jennie could tell that, as a young homeowner, I didnt have much prior experience replacing appliances. She provided the guidance and details I needed to make an informed decision. Lastly, Plaza Appliance Mart has a price match policy -- they match the price offered by the big box stores like Home Depot and Lowes. I look forward to working with Plaza and Jennie Storms again in the future!

Gab Valentine was wonderful to work with. He spent a lot of time helping us as we replaced all of the appliances in our kitchen. He even came to our rescue when we had trouble installing the oven by supplying a handyman to do a workaround. We love our new appliances, and would use Plaza Appliance Mart again.

My husband and I have been searching for a new dishwasher and refrigerator. We have read and watched reviews, thought of the pros and cons of the different styles and went down rabbit holes trying to ensure we bought the best product, met our needs, and best bang for our buck as far as location. We actually went to best buy two weeks ago bought a fridge and dishwasher (long story) but everything from customer service to scheduling to even they order the wrong product went wrong. We canceled the order and back to square one. We went to this location and had the pleasure of working with Jennie. We told her what style we liked, what we were looking for etc and she went thought the store based on our likes and showed us what they had, pros and cons to the different ones again based on what our preferences were. Jennie also went online to show us some of the refrigerators and dishwashers that we might like that werent on the floor at the time. She made sure nobody matched their prices for the items we bought and made sure we were aware of what to expect for a delivery date. I can say overall Id definitely our experience 5 stars. When you go ask for Jennie Storms. She was fantastic and exceeded the customer experience. Thank you Jennie!

Great experience. I was able to call with a specific request and have all my appliances delivered within a week. Gabe was wonderful and quick. Communication was top notch. Some appliances were out of stock due to shortages from Covid, but he was able to find me another that fits my needs. Gabe went the extra mile when one of my appliances had a delivery issue. He tracked down the new item I needed and got it out same day. If customer experience is important to you then Plaza Appliance is the a perfect choice for you.

Terrible customer service. Just go to Queen City. My husband and I shopped online and came in with the intention of buying a complete kitchen set. All we needed to do was put eyes on it and confirm with the “appliance experts” if it was the right buy. It was like pulling teeth to get any sensible answer out of the two sales associates. We kept getting one to two word answers. What we wanted apparently was not a good choice, but they couldn’t explain why. When we asked for other recommendations, all they could focus on was what our budget was versus what features we were looking for. It was evident that they didn’t care to help. Never going back or will ever recommend.

If you want the wrong appliances ordered and to play phone tag for 8 months to get your very expensive order corrected.. by all means. Worst experience of my life. Do NOT recommend. Go elsewhere.

Update / improvement since initial posting - we now have a loaner dryer with some visibility to when part might arrive. Hopefully things trend as they have in last 24 hours so outlook and rating can be improved.Buyers beware! Purchased a lemon dryer from here along with false promises of great service less than a year ago. At time of purchase, the store manager assured us it would be a reliable machine and came with responsive service. Unfortunately, we’ve sitting here for the last two weeks without an operating dryer, any clarification on when it might get repaired, or a backup unit. We continue to call and leave messages...still awaiting some kind of remedy to the situation.

This place at some point was good, as of today aug 20-21 the picture is very different ..,but people working they have bought their own PR, I was told 73 years in business but they have lost communication and customer care., dont go there ..., yesterday we bought a Bosch 800 series refrigrator for, $4,439Mytag washer 74.8cu.ft $894Maytag electric dryer 7.4 $894with all service connection and 5 years paid in advanced warranty ... all and all $7,565, problem we had was delivery they wanted 2 days, I agree to pay extra and get delivery next day, the sales person personally went to the manager in charge and it was agreed if we pay additional fees they will deliver the next day, Friday .so we can go away on our trip.came the next day, at 4 PM with lots of wait on the call the dispatch person told us it was marked for store pic-up not delivery, it gets even better.the sales person gets on the phone and tells us our matching dryer was sold to some one who had an issue with their newly purchase dryer and they were upset, he assured us they can deliver the frighted and the washer on sat AM, but the dryer will be delivered 2 months latter .. we are not joking here these are not college kids, the man had been working here for 38 years and he expect we take a washer home and use it without a dryer for 2 months !!, I would expect a college kids saying that joking but a seasoned sales person ? so we asked to speak with manager or owner, owner was in seminar all week, we were told the manager Curtis just shouted on the phone thats the best we can do ?my name is norm and anyone wants to reach out you can..by the way we did order all on line and will be here next week, these venders have lost it all due to shortage of products and demand.dont let them miss treated., things will change as always do, they will need our business again.

The dishwasher arrived broken, and could not be installed correctly. Plaza appliance wanted me to wait 11 days for GE repair service. This was not acceptable to me. So I am having them remove the dishwasher from my kitchen.I will get a full refund. But now, I have to live with a hole in my kitchen for three weeks before I can get a new one installed.

I had spent several hours today unsuccessfully trying to locate a particular brand of microwave. I saw an online advertisement for Plaza Appliance Mart and was routed to TOM, one of the salesmen at Plaza Appliance. He spent over an hour with me on the phone explaining the features of the microwave I was trying to locate, explaining the market reasons that appliances are currently backordered, comparing various manufacturer models, and provided lots of helpful information. I purchased the microwave, as backordered, and bought a smaller cabinet model to use in the meantime. Ask for TOM when you call.

First and foremost, Curtis Anderson (at the Monroe Rd store) is ABSOLUTELY phenomenal! We purchased an entire set of high-end kitchen appliances and Curtis provided us with a PHD level education on every appliance.Secondly, because of his attention to details, he spent a lot time understanding how we plan to use each appliance and aligned the models and brands to our desired behaviors - which made us VERY comfortable with our purchases.THE best appliance purchasing experience we have ever had.

It was really important for me to support a local small business when buying a new fridge for my family. The entire experience was less than desirable from start to finish. Never again will I buy from here. I should have saved myself the hassle and went to Lowe’s.

Went to Monroe Road store during early months of pandemic and met with store owner who was very courteous. I was assisted by Curtis Anderson (store manager) who was extremely professional, helpful, patient and not at all pushy. My final choice for a washer was not in stock at that time and Curtis explained the situation and the possible wait time for this particular washer to become available. I chose to wait for the washer and was informed by Curtis during the entire wait time. Needless to say, I will use the services of Plaza Appliance Mart in the future if the need arises.

I am not pleased with the customer service Ive gotten. I ordered a dishwasher in December, and was given a date that it would be delivered. The day came and I heard nothing. In the afternoon, I called, and was told my salesman, Wade, was out that day, and he would call me the next day. He did call the next day, and told me the dishwasher had not come in. I wondered then, Why didnt I get a call the day before? So a new date was scheduled. The day came and went, and no call. I called the store, and was told that Wade would call me back. That was yesterday. I am still waiting...

I had the best experience with Plaza Appliance. My double wall oven went out right before Thanksgiving and I had guest coming in for the holiday. I called they had one left and one slot open the day before Thanksgiving. They were on time, communicative and just the best to work with. Thanks Plaza Appliance for saving my Thanksgiving.

I was looking for a commercial dryer and I wanted a Speed Queen. Plaza Appliance Mart was the only place in Charlotte that I found what I wanted. They offer a great commercial warranty - FIVE YEARS!! If I dont use the warranty in five years, I get my money back. If I do use the warranty three times, I get a new appliance. I feel very secure! Their prices were competitive with Amazon, but they offer delivery and haul away. Im going to buy all of my appliances from Plaza Appliance Mart going forward!!

Our sales person Jenny was fabulous and the incredibly nice woman that seemed to be an owner was friendly. We spent 7K which is not a lot but after an inventory mistake we had a delay. A manager named Curtis was unprofessional and rude to my wife for no reason.At this point beside Jenny, NO ONE has contacted us to address the bad behavior.

Shop local and get the same if not better deals! I just love this place. They have a great selection of top brand appliances. They offer all of the same delivery, haul away, and installation services as the big box stores like Lowes, Home Depot, Sears, etc...but theyre local and theyre friendly. They even waived the delivery fee for us because we live so close to the store! The purchasing process was easy, and the delivery/haul away was seamless. They called me right before they came, and they were in an out in about 10 minutes. I really appreciated the punctuality of the delivery too, sometimes you can wait all day for stuff like this to show up! Id definitely recommend shopping here. 5 stars!!!

I decided on the purchase of my washer, dryer, pedastals and insurance over the phone with a friendly and knowledgeable associate. I went in that afternoon to make my purchase (that was already written up waiting on me to come in for). There were 2 folks at the immediate front, that did not acknowledge/greet me. I went on in and started looking at the washer and dryers. About a minute later a couple came in behind me, the salesman immediately greeted them and asked how can we help you today?. Meanwhile I have not been greeted. About 2 minutes later, I asked for help and my order was pulled up. Now, Im told you have to purchase the hoses for the machine, but we dont have them in stock. Then, Im told you have to purchase the steam kit for your dryer, but we dont have it in stock...Lastly, I ask and pay to have it delivered, 2 days later, which I was already told yes they can deliver after 12 on Saturady give me a minute he says and I will give you the time. He says...it will be anywhere between 12pm and WHEN THEY GET TO YOU. I ask, So that could be 9, 10, 11 oclock pm? He says yes, in a flip and uncaring word. Needless to say, I had the 64.00 delivery fee refunded and we just made arrangements to pick them up the next day. Great products but for the most part, horrible customer service!!

Had to make a delivery at this establishment, and the area for semi trucks isnt big enough for a truck to comfortably manuver around, so it can back up to the dock door. At that moment after making countless attempts to manuver around buildings and the dumpster and the employees cars, you will be greeted by a grumpy old man with a chip on his shoulder to greet you!

Rick Furr is the best salesman I have encountered in years. I was searching for a new washing machine, and Rick was so friendly and knowledgeable about the appliances. I really appreciated his candor and knowledge. Just in case you are unaware, there is an appliance shortage in the USA; and the best part was that the machine was in stock, and delivered the next business day!

I called one afternoon about a new refrigerator, and we needed one in a hurry as our old one was quickly dying. Leslie was just wonderful. I told her roughly what I was looking for and she researched what was in stock and called me back with options. I stopped by the store at 6:45pm, Jenny (who was also wonderful) showed me the model Leslie and I had discussed, I paid and signed, and the new fridge was sitting in my kitchen by 11:30 the next morning. The installers were on time, in and out. Smooth from start to finish. Couldnt have been any smoother. Ill be back for sure.

I just got back from an unpleasant encounter at this store. I walked in (with my COVID mask on AS PER STORE POLICY), to buy 2-$179 room air filters. Since the young man behind the front desk was on the phone (without a mask), I turned my attention to the information in the air filter display a few feet away. After spending a few minutes reading about the filter, I realized that being so close to this unmasked employee while he was talking might be dangerous for me. I got 2 boxes of the filters down off the shelf and placed them on the counter where the young man was still on the phone. I said Id be waiting in the car until he was finished and gestured outside. After a few minutes with my husband in the car, I went back in, hoping hed be off the phone. I couldnt see anyone in the store, so I called out, Anyone home? The young man appeared from behind a pillar (this time wearing a mask). I was about to tell him that I wanted to buy the 2 filters when he said irritably that I didnt have to come in there yelling(!) I noticed that his nose was uncovered by his mask just 2 feet from me, so I asked him if he would cover his nose. He angrily replied that I didnt need to tell him how to wear his mask(!) At that point I knew I was dealing with an employee who clearly didnt have the customers welfare in mind, so I threw up my hands and left the store. We are looking high and low now on the internet for another source for the 2 room air filters.My husband and I just bought a dishwasher at Plaza. Everyone from the knowledgeable salesman to the charming women at the front desk to John, the installer, were wonderful to deal with. This young man is the exception to the rule there, evidently. Next time we need a new appliance, I will call ahead to make sure that young man isnt working the desk.

Tami Taylor (no relationship but would definitely be proud to call her kin) I was very impressed with her knowledge of the appliances we discussed. She provided outstanding service, listened intently and showed me several brand options for which she knew the details. While I was in the showroom Tami used the company’s computers to locate the appliance I wanted to purchase and luckily my new Bosch dishwasher will be installed Monday June 29. Very knowledgeable and helpful sales staff. I was shopping for a microwave for a rental house and tried the big box stores first thinking they’d have a greater selection of base model appliances. The problem is that nothing was in stock and the hidden fees for delivery or special order made it much more expensive. Never mind the question of how ordering something On the floor but out of stock is a “special order”. The end result was that I was able to find what I was looking for at Plaza, at a lower price, picked it up immediately, and was actually able to get some assistance in the store. Next time I’ll go here first.
