Another great experience from Closets by design. A couple years ago, they did a custom master closet for me and they did a phenomenal job. So Dana had her work cut out for her on this one, as the bar was already pretty high. To my delight, Dana Linner provided excellent customer service from day one, and did an excellent job of designing a home office with ample space to accommodate all of my monitors, ample storage for my book collection while still opening up the room. See the before (dark furniture) compared to the custom space done by closets by design. Thanks so much for a job very well done!

I am very happy with my master bedroom closet and pantry that was designed and installed b Closets By Design. Julie, our salesperson was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely responsive. The installation team was on-time and very friendly. They went out of their way to answer questions and maintained positive attitudes even though a couple of hiccups. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I requested they install the pantry the first day (and confirmed twice) but they showed up with the Master bedroom closet instead so we have to scramble to get that ready for installation. Otherwise everything is great! I would certainly recommend them and I would use the again myself in the future!

Diana Morice designed custom closets for my master bedroom and bathroom. The original master bedroom closet was impractical and inefficient and there was no closet in the bathroom. Diana took the time to understand what I wanted from both spaces and designed great closets. The company and its services are in high demand and there were several months between design and install. The wait absolutely worth it! The installer was on time and worked tirelessly to get the closets put in. When he was finished, he vacuumed both rooms and swept the sidewalks to get rid of all the sawdust and other detritus. The closets are beautiful and practical. It feels good to be organized!

Debra was fantastic and extremely knowledgable when she came out for the initial consult. My plan was to get the quote and then shop around, but I was sold immediately. She put us on the schedule and it was about a 3-month turnaround, which is understandable in todays climate. We didnt originally anticipate that about a month into it, we would find our dream house and get our offer accepted. I quickly called Debra and she was gracious enough to come to the new house and remeasure. She honored our original contract price and was able to keep the same install date, which was this past Wednesday. The installers who came were excellent - personable, knowledgable, and did a beautiful job. Ive done a lot of remodel projects and home projects in my time as a homeowner, and I think this closet is my favorite. I highly recommend Closets by Design, Debra, and the entire team! I had very large closets and drawers installed in my garage. They look great. The poor installer were stuck in the garage getting everything together as the skies kept pouring down that day. It all turned out nicely.

I had a drop zone installed and the designer ordered the incorrect panels. The installer knew it was incorrect and installed it anyway. They have said they will fix it but no one has scheduled or even tried to fix their mistake. I have called and called and no one has tried to reschedule or even fix this. I do not recommend them at all.

Generally disappointed with the lack of communication throughout the project. I had to call their office at 1pm on day of installation because I hadn’t heard from anyone and was never given an installation window.Then the cabinet doors were the wrong size. Waited two weeks, never got any follow up of the right ones were ordered or any expectation of dates. Called the office again to find out the correct doors had already been delivered to them and someone would reach out in 5-7 days to SCHEDULE them bringing me my doors which should be unacceptable to them as well that just bringing me 4 doors is taking that long.Had much better experience with California Closets.

I love my new Master Bedroom closets. Angela did a great job working with me to design exactly what I needed. The price was half of what I expected. They showed up when they said they would and their work even passed quality check by my very picky husband. I have so much more storage space now and it looks much more organized. I used Closets by Design for a custom closet since the modular options did seem to maximize my walk-in closet space. The initial design appointment was mid February with Raven. She was so amazing to work with and made sure I got what I needed out of the design. We made several adjustments before I settled on the final design and she exhibited such patience.Steve and another guy did the installation early May due to my schedule. They were professional, wore masks the whole time, and laid time tarp to protect my carpet. They were done in less than 4 hours.Overall, Im extremely happy with the result. I even have some shelf space leftover. I highly recommend Closets by Design!

This is the 3rd time we have used Closets By Design; 1st was our master BR closet; the 2nd was an office area; and just recently, our pantry.

Closet By Design in Denver NC installed garage storage system in our Stanley NC home. The storage system has floor to ceiling cabinets, deep drawers on glider rails and a slotted back wall cover that holds magnetic strips to set up the most used tools. We also have a work table surface in the center of the unit. In addition we purchased wall hooks for hoses and other tools to hang on the walls and ladders. The electrical outlet on the storage system wall was designed to be accessible, a well thought out part of the design. We had choices of several cabinet colors, work table surface colors and a variety of cabinet door and pull drawer handles. CBD Installation crew were on time, were organized and professional. We are very pleased to with Closet by Design in Denver NC from beginning to finished garage storage system. We will be returning customers.

Closets by Design was great. We had a budget and they were able to give us everything we wanted within budget. Installation was delayed a few months due to the pandemic, but when the installers got here, they were super courteous, professional and skilled. They knocked out a walk-in T-shape (His and Hers) closet in 6hrs. Minimal noise (I work from home), and left the closet spotless. We are very satisfied with the closet.

A really nice designer came out and took measurements for a bathroom cabinets for my guest bathroom. The cabinet is covering my vent; therefore, it will not work for that bathroom. The representative in the office and designer advised they can’t change the cabinet out. Obviously the designer didn’t take in consideration of the vent so now I have a cabinet that has to be taken down. I also received laundry cabinets and cabinet shelves are missing and the doors were too big, so I have to wait another 4 weeks for doors to be put in. I also ordered cabinet pulls and none of them came with my order. No discount has been applied or offered. The service most definitely is not what I expected and I have to hire someone else to come and fix the cabinets.

Several issues occurred during the installation of our closet system. All were discussed with our sales rep, Linda, and some issues were fixed. Installers came in November. My husband works from home, they had to interrupt him from work about 6 times to ask my husband to move things from our bedroom or from our garage so that the workers could cut part of the closet in our garage. Even though we discussed not cutting inside our home, the workers still cut some materials within our home, leaving dust everywhere. The workers also left our garage door (from inside) open so that when I returned home from work, I found my dog outside. I told them directly to please close the door so my dog would not run away. The installers finished their work and several issues were found. Nothing had been cleaned. The dust remained in my garage, through my hallways and in our bedroom. There was dirt and dust on every shelf of the closet. The closet also had several selves not installed correctly and several rods that were broken or full of dirt/scuff marks.The company did fix rods and shelves, which was nice. However, an issue that was not addressed was the cleaning. it took my husband and I a few hours together to clean our bedroom and floors and to wipe down the closet and vacuum. For a closet costing over 5 grand, I would hope cleaning of the closet and cleaning the mess created by the employees would have been dealt with. I attempted to contact the company about the issue, but felt it was not being resolved. I was contacted to be told the cleaning crew were talked to, but no refund or offer to clean was given and I was never spoken to about how I felt about our final project.

I’m so in love with our mastercloset now. It was a crowded mess but now it looks so good. Kelley was super nice & easy to work with. She listened to what I wanted & came up with a great design.

Custom closets. Turned out beautiful! So much more room and now all my stuff is organized. I. Am able to get more creative with my wardrobe because I can see all what I have. I renovated 4 closets. Worth every penny.

Closets by Design was a class act from the beginning of the process right through the finished product. Our representative for the in-home consultation, Michelle, was knowledgeable, professional, and a delight to brainstorm with. She knew her products inside and out and was really helpful. The men who installed our built-in organizational units in a home office/rec room were polite and expert. It was completed when promised and they left no mess. We had a tiny issue with the desk tops later and, as promised in the guarantee, they returned and replaced them right away. I really don’t think I would have seen that level of professionalism in another company. We are extremely happy with the quality of the product and the overall look. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone or use them again for another home improvement project.

On Tuesday August 2nd the installers came to begin our pantry install. The installers were very nice and professional. Everything seemed to be going well at first. Then about 4 or so hours later the installer informed me that some of the boards were not cut correctly to fit and that he was not going to be able to complete the job. I asked if he would be coming back the next day to complete of which he stated that he wouldn’t and I would need to call and schedule an appt for them to return. He told me to reach out to my consultant. Imagine how I felt when I was originally told the install would take a day to complete. All of our items were removed from the pantry into boxes and now we have to shuffle through boxes to find anything we need. I took time off of work as well and this posed a huge inconvenience to say the very least.I texted my consultant (Kelley) and she said she would find out what happened and that she was going to touch bases with me about how I liked the install anyway. I also told her how unhappy I was after waiting all this time for my appt nearly 3 mths. I expressed how disappointed I was. She said she understood and was on hold with customer service and would circle back around to me. Needless to say I’ve still not received any type of information or communication from the consultant and here we are 2 days later. I called the office and spoke to Deana who assured me that they would make things right of which I’m trying to figure out how, since they scheduled another appt for Friday (3 days later on a 1 day job). She also said that she would have the install manager call me back, that she was in a meeting. I never received a call, I called again and was told there were no mgrs in the office. Then was told they would have the owner call me on Thursday morning. Thursday morning has come and gone with no call from them either. I read all the great reviews and I cannot believe that everyone of them is being forthcoming judging by what I’m experiencing. This job should have been a priority after such an inconvenience. I cannot express my disappointment and dissatisfaction. Not a happy customer and to think I was so excited only to end up here.

The designer from Closets by Designer Kelly Bridgforth turned a limited space into a roomy well laid out closet. The installers were on time and did a great job. We are very happy with Closet by Design.

Although there were quite a few hiccups with the materials being ready for the installation and the installation being delayed for hours, the installers were very professional & communicated openly about where we stood in the process. Overall terrible experience. Day 1, they provided me a new designer that could not produce a design. 6 weeks of back and forth I called the office, They gave me Lisa a Sr. designer who was amazing. I thought wow they really wanted to win my business.Communicated the same requirements and my price went up several k and I went from under budge to over. I was given a discount to try to fix but had to concede on several items. My husband told me to go elsewhere. Boy nothing like a I told you so from your husband when it all came crashing down.Install went from 3wk to 3m. Lisa was clear they told me wrong. Install week.. Day 1, arrived late. I asked for them to put tarps down, They said they didnt have any and so instead they took off their shoes but made a huge mess. That aside I had to keep asking to put on masks on which is a policy for them. They left at 3:30pm.Day 2, late by an hour. They did call and but were 30mins later than the new time given. Only one guy for day 2. Didn’t take off shoes, no tarp, and reminded him several time for mask. His response was not required in SC...good to know because your in my home in NC. As I talked through a few things… I realized the guy smelled of marijuana and eyes were beat red. My first thought is this guy high? After calling my husband he didnt feel comfortable me addressing as a female in my home by myself. I cant say for sure if he was, the company would never admit to me BUT the fact I had the situation was ridiculous.Now its 5:45pm… I asked about finishing and it became clear because it was 6pm..and according to him he had a hard day and wanted to leave. I asked about drywall he busted and looked at me and straight lied. At that point I told him to leave. Don’t after all this treat me like I am an idiot.I called Lisa. she was doing her best to help but net net was told he was vaping. And now I needed a 3rd install day which would be 10 days later.Lisa finally came out 3 days later to review it all herself and get the info back to the install team. I kept hearing excuses about scheduling and gave them a deadline as we were going on vacation. If I hadnt pushed back they would have let me go 10 days without a closet.Honestly Krista (install manager) should have been here but took them 3 days after I refused to try to communicate everything that needed to be fixed. Krista finally called days later because I told Lisa she was terrible This was HER team that completely that failed in their job. Once again, poor service. Her apology we clearly a check the box and did not give two f’s about my experience. She said she would call me back and had someone else, total cop out. Krista should not be managing anything based off the experience I had.So we finally schedule the follow up for a week later. Oh and wait…they are an hour late on the 3rd day! Once again, having to re-arrange my work calls. Yes, god forbid to think people actually work from home. The scheduler was supposed to text me a time and never got bc she was sending to the wrong number (wow). They randomly show up asking me questions while on a work call. Once again I am the person having to educate their team. I will say Carlos was very professional and even made a comment like which person did this, recognizing the quality was not to par and fixed it. I do think he did a good job and really wish he did the whole install as I expect the experience would have been what they sold to me. Due to being late, in the home till 6:40pm which is another burden but at least he was very apologetic about it.WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE and 100% would absolutely never recommend them. Lisa has been awesome and overall did a great job maximizing the space but honestly when I look at the pain, this company needs to get their act together in major ways. Don’t sell me on we don’t outsource the install when you can’t do quality control.

We hired Closets by Design to remodel our master bedroom closet. Sabrina was so easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable on how to use every inch of our space to its fullest potential. We knew they were not the cheapest, but at the end of the day you definitely get what you pay for. We couldnt be more pleased. I inquired about a custom closet with this company, and after initial visit I inquired with other companies. The representation of this company to the others was like apples to oranges, or oranges to apples. The representative did not listen to any of my needs at all, and was not very informative as to what she was trying to sell me either. The model was drawn on paper compared to a computer of the other companies... This company or representation of this company is not very professional as in comparison to other companies I visited in giving a better vision spending this type of money.

Use this place to get my home done they did a pretty good job they was missing one of the pieces had to come to the place to get the piece walked in the door this big dog came from out of nowhere growling and barking at me no one got up to do anything finally someone came so be warned if you have to go to this place if they do have a big dog he seem like he wanted to bite and people will just look at you!

The pricing is reasonable and the workers were not only fast, professional and on time, but they made sure we were satisfied with their work and their clean up. I truly enjoyed working with the designer, Debbie S..She came to my house, she listened to my needs, came out with a practical and sensible design of his/her closet and reviewed it with me. It was a smooth process. The installation of two closets came out beautiful just like it was designed. I cannot complain about the quality and value as well as how skilled the installers are. Everything is superb! So, overall, I am extremely satisfied with the outcome. I will consider using ClosetsbyDesign in Charlotte again and I highly recommend their products and services!

Our closet was a horrible dumpster fire before we found Dana at Closets by Design. The previous owner did their own custom build and besides being done in a shoddy manner, it under-utilized what precious space our master closet has to offer. Dana was quick to design a modern, stylish, and ergonomically efficient closet that maximized every inch of available space. The two guys that did the install knocked it out of the park as well. We had 4 closets completed by this company back in February and the company was always easy to contact and addressed any concerns quickly and professionally. The Closet Designs are GREAT, the quality of the product is awesome so far, they look amazing and are functional. The Installers were very efficient and with the possibility of inclement weather they worked hard and longer to get a job that was supposed to take 2 days in one. I was very appreciative! Only disappointment I had was when I realized I needed one more shelf after my belongings were put in the closet. I had to pay for the shelf. It wasnt expensive but I was a little disappointed I bought and installed 4 full closets and they couldnt comp 1 shelf. Other than that GREAT company and I would recommend and use them again!

Amazing team! CBD did a closet for my mom some years ago and shes still raving about it. The design is excellent and the product is high quality. I just consulted with Kelly for another project and Im thoroughly impressed with her creative design ideas. Customer Service was in contact with me the entire time, keeping me abreast of any changes with scheduling and to ensure I was onboard if so. The installers were awesome. Post installation, they cleaned up and we did a walk-thru to view. It was beautiful! More beautiful than I could imagine. I highly recommend Closets by Design. And to think, I selected them from an ad in a flyer! Didnt look at any other companies!

Worked with Julie who is terrific. Very professional and pleasant. She did a great design. There were a few items that needed addressing with the install but Julie came right out to review our punch list. There are always going to be punch lists with these types of projects and shes been great. Would highly recommend. Closet looks fantastic !!
