They always are more than willing to help you through your purchase to make sure you get what you need. They have lighting, grow tents, growing media, skunk filters, and much more! Visited Charlotte location Jan 21st. As always great experience. Great selection, good pricing and very courteous and experienced staff. Worked with a gentleman named Dimetrius. Super person. Spent good bit of time helping me and my friend plus hooked us up with some good discounts. I have shopped here for several years and will continue to do so.

This place has everything you need to grow big healthy plants, I like that there is a local place I can get my supplies from. Paying shipping on soil can cost as much as the soil itself and these guys have pretty much everything from fox farm in stock most of the time.

Really awesome place I have found my new home for all my gardening needs. Dee and Rob were super friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. They took the time to help me with an issue I was having and told me what works best. I have been to several stores around town and this place is by far my favorite. Good selection of products and the customer service was above and beyond excellent.I highly recommend anyone serious about growing your own food or just have an interest in indoor gardening, to check this shop out it has everything that you will need to get you started. Awesome place, Awesome people and Awesome customer service! I left a review about a year ago while they were under different management and I have noticed a total difference since their current manager and new staff has been there. Every time I go in there the same guy (the manager) helps me for like an hour legit going over any and everything I could need and helps clear what I’m confused about, he’s beyond helpful and very friendly. Would def recommend going here!

Please carry more hdi stuff like IONIC GROW for SOIL ALWAYS OUT AND LOW ON ALL HDI PRODUCTS!! Thats what I use and thats what gets the results that a manger told me that my peppers were better than 95% of the people of Charlotte!! I HAVE OTHER SECRET TECHS. AND FORMULAS

This hydro shop is the best in the south. Every time i come in the shop it looks better and better. Rob has been very helpful and takes the time I need to make sure I leave with the right equipment and knowledge. All the staff is very helpful, They never try to push things on me i dont need. i will never go anywhere else, thanks HTG.

Walked in with $1,000 to purchase a full hydroponic Setup. I asked two people for help explaining how to set the Setup up and was pushed off and ignored by both people; not to mention they werent even busy. I waited 10 min because they said they would grab me after the had time and no one made any attempt to help me during that time. Then I left and will take business elsewhere. They literally lost $1,000 due to poor customer service.

If youre looking for or to start a hydroponic set up mini without chemicals and soul this is the place that you need to go look for if youre close by or than a certain driving ratio.The store is a little bit hard to spot because of the building design but once found it has a lot of supplies some of them are little pricier than others and some of the items in there are little bit cheaper than online.Most of the staff is fairly knowledgeable of how to help people start their first crops especially if youre confused on how much to give the plants and at what PH because remember every kind of plant may require something a little different or a different pH balance.If you are unsure you can always give some of the people here a call and every time Ive spoken to them theyve been very helpful. They do not carry material such as perlite and things like that on hand but they can order them if youre looking for something like that Mitchells Nursery in King North Carolina can get it for about 14 $15 a bag if youre local you may be cheaper to find it elsewhere if youre outside the area.They also do not carry material to build a greenhouse or the systems already put together to sale to the public thats the only major drawback besides some of the prices are a little high.If youre building a PVC Greenhouse I recommend Lowes hardware and no thicker than 1 inch PVC pipe and medium green cement to help bend it other than that you have to buy the more expensive seal greenhouses with the aluminum frames.

Id like to say its more than just OK b/c this is really a very cool store with LOTS of very interesting things having to do with hydroponics, which is my hobby. Unfortunetly, when I first came in I made a dumb comment about growing weed AS A JOKE, and the store clerk tamely flipped a lid. When I told him I was only joking and that a friend of mine actually was joking about the same when I mention hydroponics, he actually told me not to say that word again b/c he felt I was insinuating that his customers were using their products to grow that. I could not apologize more b/c I really meant no harm but he could not be more unfriendly to me after that and it was obvious that he wanted me out of that store quick! Very very uncomfortable experience - unwarranted really. I tried to talk about my aspirations to experiment with designing my own unit, etc. and he really could care less. He was not going to be bothered with me at all. Why such an over-the-top reaction? I dont know. Needless to say, as cool as this store is, I dont think Ill go back. Ill just try the other hydro store in Charlotte going forward. Lesson-learned.Visit this store - its cool. I just wont go back.

I trusted this company with my first hydroponics set up. I had little knowledge about hydroponics and was looking for help as to what would work best. First I was sold a HPS 6 watt light ballast. Cost 249. And 125$ for a hortilux HPS super bulb I found on line for $59 and they didnt even give me a dimmable ballast, Second hydroponics DWC system. They sold me and element o2 127 for $12. Knowing I had a 25 gallon resivor, knowing it wouldnt be enough air. And sold me 4 more before suggesting to buy the better $59 pump. They sold me ph testers the liquid crap kind, and then the tape, before saying well u should have purchased the ph pen. I would have from the start had they said so, These guys are masters at getting you to keep spending. And they act so dang shady like your doing something illegal buying their equipment. I just ordered a vivosun 6 hundred on line for $159 and received a way better set up than HTG could ever sell. Came with 2 bulbs, ballast hood hangers, timer. My bill was $659 my first visit to HTG. So far this year ordering of line quality equipment my bill was half that so far and I have twice of what htg sold me. My advice stay far away from this business. Check reviews and buy on line. Dont ever ask them for advice. They will robe you if they know you are ignorant to growing. Do your homework and do not trust a business helping you get set up. I have more stories about this company, but Im running out of time. Dont make the mistake I did asking for help. This place is a joke. I do like canna nutrients but thats even cheaper and on line and fresher cause it dont sit around for years like at this business. Thanks for screwing me and making me pay double prices on everything boys.
