Honestly, I will never use brown collision again. I got rear ended and needed a new trunk and rear bumper. While the repair itself was done well, they were not on schedule and they did an AWFUL job painting. They’re “20 year veteran tech” couldn’t catch the mistakes he left on my new car.

This place knows their stuff! I was skeptical at first because of the bad reviews but lets be honest most people who are happy about their service do not post a review and those who are upset do. I had not been in an accident in awhile but the staff was able to help me through the process, even giving me a free ride back to louisa! (45 minute drive) Very thankful that I have a reliable body shop to go to. Highly recommend!

I recently had some body repair on my truck. I want to thank those that were involved in the repair as I am extremely pleased with the craftsmanship. I also want to thank Christian, my liaison who kept me up to date with the repair. Due to covid19, parts were delayed which I totally understand. Christian was always professional, polite, and apologetic for the delay. He gave me multiple updates the entire time of which I really appreciated. Browns Collision Center fixed my car after I was rear ended and came back with even more issues. The issues resulted in my entire transmission having to be replaced. They are the absolute worst! If I could give them less than a one star, I would. After asking around I found several people that had the same issue happen to others. They have messed up several peoples cars because they dont know how to do their jobs. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!

Very bad service. Went with USAA recommendation. Will never go back. My car was rear ended, repair was decent BUT they spray painted my rear tire, left powder residue all over interior and trunk, and the dash check engine lights were all on when I picked it up (no one walked with me to go over the repairs). I brought up the issues and was told theyd take care of it and detail the car (another day without the car). I went to pick it up and they told me they couldnt detail it because I had dyed my carpets (Ive never dyed my carpets). I still have paint on tires and I had to clean the car myself. Overall, horrible service and quality of work. Youve been warned. Stay away!

Brought my car there after a hit and run accident to be work on. Needless to say that was a terrible mistake. They took it upon themself to take my vehicle to a random mechanic that I didn’t know or trust without ever notifying me or asking for my permission to do so. Last time I checked you don’t just do what you want with someone’s property. I’ve had nothing but issues thanks to them. If I could give them zero stars I would, highly suggest steering clear of this place, Tibbs, and Christian because it’s obvious they don’t care about you as a customer.

Coming in with a wrecked vehicle sucks, whether it is your fault or not. So being able to talk with someone that has knowledge of how insurance works and how repair process goes is a great reassurance. It is complicated and it takes a lot to get your vehicle back to pre accident condition.

Justin and his team did a great job making my 2008 Honda Civic look brand new. The paint on my hood roof and trunk started to bubble and peel. Justin and his team did a great job re painting each section. They also got my bumper replaced. The car looks great. I would recommend this place to anyone. They got my car back to me in a timely fashion.

The service was beyond terrible. They never call to give a status update and initially promised my car back in 3 days. Two weeks later, no car, no communication, no return calls from my messages. I could not imagine a more frustrating experience. If you read the reviews, you will see multiple similar experiences. I have to wonder if the rave reviews are fake because this place is terrible. Please heed my warning, stay away

Had an Extremely hard time making contact with them, and, the work took 2 and a half weeks LONGER than what the estimate said that was sent to my insurance company, Allstate. HONEST! I had huge scratches down the side of my Sequoia and had an insurance claim. Upon inspection by Brown’s they informed me that a buffing compound would fix the situation instead of an entire repaint of all panels if I didn’t mind not seeing the scratch, but just feeling it. They saved me hundreds of dollars in my insurance premium and my rates didn’t go up. They are truly honest and helpful and 1,000 percent trust worthy! Thank you!

Can you call an automobile accident a pleasant experience? Maybe not- but going to Browns was a pleasure. I have Geico insurance who is linked up with Browns so the whole repair event was seamless. A rental car was ready for me, they updated me as the repair progressed and had my car ready two days early. Plus everyone the was polite and professional. Justin at Browns Collision Center it was such a blessing 2 getting my car fixing back on the road again. They had my vehicle for a month but through no fault of theirs. It was the insurance companies fault for having to sit there so long. I recently had to have front end work done on my Nissan Rogue. From the Geico adjuster to the Collision Relations Admin and the Enterprise employee it was a smooth and painless process. I was alerted daily on the progress of my car and was even able to view pictures online of the process. After 3 short days I was able to pick her up and discovered theyd even detailed her for me. I hope I never have to have body work done again but if I do Ill definitely be a returning Browns customer!

Was rear-ended and brown took care of the repairs. I got my car back and on the surface, the repairs looks beautiful. About a week later, we got some really good rain. The day after the storm I get in my car and to my horror, the entire back seats and floor boards are filled with water. I mean ankle deep water. I go to the trunk and the entire trunk is full of water. I take it to browns and they had to re-set the rear window. I also have a wind problem in my driver door now and they said there is nothing they can do about it. Winter comes around and I notice that my rear window defroster doesnt work. I call Brown and am told I will be called back. I dont hear from them. I call again and am told I will be called back. Still dont hear from them. I call again and am told I will be called within the hour, I STILL DONT get a call back. Finally, I get them to look at my window. They told me that it was due to a fuse and not the repairs. I replaced the fuse and the defroster still doesnt work. I again go through the process of calling and being ignored a couple of times before they see my car again. This time they tell me it is the defroster switch in the dash. I replaced the switch switch, and wouldnt you believe, rear defroster still doesnt work. Now I have annoying wind noise as if my window is slightly down and my rear defroster doesnt work and they refuse to fix the problem. Will probably have to seek legal representation. I will NEVER take my car here again.

Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend Browns Collision Center to anyone.Though I would prefer never having to go back it is good knowing that Browns Collision Center will provide the best quality and the best customer service possible. My visit was due to a Deer that ran into my brand new 2014 Jeep Wrangler. I needed body work, paint, electrical and mechanical parts replaced. The Jeep looks and runs fantastic. After I got the Jeep back I noticed the A/C wasnt working perfectly though which seeings how it was 20 degrees outside I dont fault Browns for not noticing it wasnt pushing out enough cold air. I called up Browns Collision and they told me to bring it back in and they will push me to the front of the line and take a look. They isolated the problem and fixed it right away. Personally I am very glad I had to come back for this issue since it gave me the unique perspective to really judge Browns Collision Center on customer service and as a company. In my opinion the best way to judge a business is to see how they respond when there is a problem; will they correct the issue, avoid the issue, or place blame elsewhere. I am very happy to say that they fully stand behind their work.My main point of contact during my visit was with Richard who not only was extremely courteous every time we talked, but kept me in the loop every step of the way. He kept of communication with myself, my insurance company, and the rental car company. His excellent customer service definitely made me feel more at ease the whole time my Jeep was in the shop. His customer service skills are top notch and extremely appreciated!

Worse experience with body work Ive ever had. Low estimate ended up being the highest. Two weeks work turned out to be over a month and still some issues to correct but afraid to take it back. Might not have it back before Christmas. Broken promises, not ready when promised, no updates as promised unless I called them, a million and one excuses for everything and pitiful work . Over spray all over vehicle including inside. Filthy nasty dust and dirt inside out. Scratched radio screen trying to get a film off they wiped on it. When the car was picked up, they handed the keys over and that was it. No one even walked out to show the work done and explain things. Never even got a thank you for your business which they will never get again. No way they can remain in business long . I hope this review will save someone from the aggravation I went through dealing with this place. Youve been warned, do not trust your vehicle to this shop. Pitiful dealings and unfortunately it Aint over .

Rental from insurance has maxed out and 25 days later of us having to pay out of pocket for rental they only want to pay for one week . The only communication each week was us initiating the calls. Hit a deer at 6:15AM, got to collision center at 8:15. Paperwork was done and we were on the road within 15 minutes. Work was great, staff friendly and got emails every two or three days telling about where they were in the process. Picked up my car on the day and time they had promised. Great people and work.

I picked up a rental car right on the premise as I dropped my vehicle off for repair. If you have a choice, take your vehicle somewhere else. Took wifes vehicle in to have cosmetic issues repaired (parking lot dings, paint scratches and such) AT OUR OWN EXPENSE! Insurance was not involved. Estimated was about $2300...1 week- 10 days to complete. Ok. After 3 full weeks still not ready. After being told they had dropped the ball, it would be ready in 2 days. When picking up the vehicle, it looked satisfactory. Given the time delay in delivery, inconvenience and frustration. I tried to negotiate the final bill. They apologized but would not negotiate. Finally, the service manager offered a free complete detail at a future date. Im a reasonable guy and understanding that service would have cost $150 - 175, I agreed. Took car in yesterday, left all day today, and only thing that was done was a washing and a poor attempt at vacuuming...no windows cleaned, no exterior rubber/vinyl dressing, tires not dressed, etc. Poor, poor customer service...I was informed that we really do not have a detail department and all we really do is wash and vaccum. I surely WILL NOT use Browns for anything again. They dont really tell the truth. Sorry. The legal caveat of let the buyer beware certainly applies here.

Easy drop off, quick service and simple pick-up! 2 doors needed replaced from collision, along with alignment. Dropped Monday and picked up Friday. Car was cleaned thoroughly inside and out, which was nice surprise. Rental car service onsite so makes it even easier. Amanda was great and when had a question she was right there to get me an answer and insured communication was regular on where my repair stood via auto emails. GREAT JOB!!!!

I had a wonderful experience at Brown Collision Center. My Subaru Outback lost part of the factory roof rack and also had a dent in the back hatch after I drove it into our garage with a bike on top. They replaced the rack along with sanding and painting the dented portion. This was all done very quickly and at a cost lower than they quoted. I was extremely pleased with the customer service and the manager of the shop is top notch. If you need any body work done to your car then I highly recommend this shop.

Currently into 7th week and still no vehicle. I felt I was very patient and was told about three weeks into the claim that it would be ready the following week, and then that happened again, and again, and again. For the damage that was done to my vehicle, the amount of time that this has taken does not align. Communication has consisted of me placing the phone calls to see what’s up (and being told things that are incorrect). You would think that, especially after I’ve been told multiple times that it’s almost ready, someone would be proactive and would let me know what is happening. At this point, my $900 rental allowance from my insurance company is about to run out and still no sign of my vehicle back. I’ve got other things to do than write reviews, but this seems to be about the only recourse one has as a customer and consumer.

Extremely pleased with both their customer service and their work. They really do stand behind what they do. I had a very large job done on my 2014 Jeep Trailhawk and they worked with me every step of the way. They connected with my insurance company and made sure everything was fixed like new and taken care of without me having to deal with it. It was a very big job though. I had 2 deer ram my jeep on both sides. There were a couple things I didnt feel where like new so I brought it up with them. They promptly fixed that and I couldnt be happier with the completed job. Jared was very easy to work with, extremely professional, and he made sure I was happy and made sure the impact on me and my time was as little as possible. Dont think any other place would have made me this happy and Im not always an easy person to please.

And the other had listed services on the invoice to insurance that were not performed on the vehicle. Had to take it back in and demand those items be completed. Total scam.

This is the second time I go there, and in both times they performed a sub-standard services. My 1st minor accident with my Honda Fit, they replaced the rear bumper but they did not attached it properly. The bumper was protruding 1 inch further they it should be.This time, I had a minor accident with my CRV, with some major damage to the front bumper. The hood and lights had to be replaced, as well as front bumper and under cover. However, the under cover was only attached the 4 corner screws, and non or the 8 pressure pins! I checked the bill and they did charger for all new parts, labour, and 8 pins. I looked with a light and some were incorrect attached, and other were simply not used (because they are broken! I assume from the accident). The way this are now, I am afraid the whole thing will simply collapse if I go over a whole or a speed bump!They do fix cars, but are careless to details. I do not recommend! Look for somewhere else!

This is the type of business that I read about in my customer service textbooks at UVA. My repair was done on the day they had scheduled it to be, and my car looks like it did before the accident. But Browns goes way beyond that. I received updates on my car almost everyday, the service professionals were nice and understanding of an inexperienced college kid, and operators went out of their way to help me. When I dropped off my car I forgot to remove my parking pass to use on my rental car, and the operator went out of her way to leave it outside for me so I could pick it up after shop hours. These people are amazing. I dont know if this is a family owned busy or what, but they are doing it right here.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON THIS HACKSHOP! All I needed was my bumper to be replaced & painted & they wouldnt give me an estimate. Heck they wouldnt even give me a copy of the estimate.Their analysis was only to repair the bumper, but the bumper NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT AINT FRIGGIN ROCKET SCIENCE. It took some doing, but I am wholly satisfied. Let my preface my comments in that the collision center uses an outside vendor for windshield work. My windshield was being replaced via USAA last year. Soon thereafter, I had to bring my car back after the rear view mirror fell off. Fixed, or so I thought.Fast forward to this year and the mirror broke off, taking chunks of the windshield with it. I called the center and was told that the window guy would be in the next day. So I arrive at the 29 location only to find out that he had to do 2 cars at Toyota back on 250. Well my car needed the mirror to pass inspection at the end of the month too, never mind that I drove by that location already.So I drive over there and receive the news that it cant be glued back on. I figured as much, so I call the collision center to get a new windshield ordered.Imagine my surprise when I get a call the next day and find out that since the vendor told them it wasnt the glue but in fact the glass itself, that it was no longer under warranty. I found it hard to believe that the adhesive is stronger than glass, there must be a problem with the integrity of the windshield or application of the mirror after having been repaired previously.I bring the car back in for the general manager to take a look himself and he takes care it. Goes the extra mile to to use the adhesive and glues down some loose parts on my car. Takes care of the state inspection by using the facility next door. What wonderful follow through to make the customer happy.

The most untrustworthy group (in a business that has many) I have encountered. My car hit a deer, and a warning light went on as I drove it home. Told the insurance adjuster about it and- figuring that Subaru dealers would be best equipped to handle Subaru problems arranged to have it taken to Browns. Weeks after it got towed, I was told that the car was ready, and that they couldnt find any problems. I asked them if they checked the fluids, and was told that they had. Everything, according to them, was fine. When I wanted to check up on the status of the car, I found that they had sent it to the honda branch.After driving it about 30 miles, I decided to go back to SC. On my way back to SC, the warning light went off again. Turns out that it was more than a quart of oil low. The Subaru people in SC checked the sensor and determined that it had been a quart low during the so-called inspection by Brown. A call to the collision center got no response. A second call, got an annoyed Mr. Lindsay who asked me if I normally check the oil. I explained that I dont normally do it immediately after it has been checked. A call to the Honda division got an our manager will call you response. No call, just lies.

Dropped my cAr off with both of my children in tow and had a rental in 20 minutes on Thurs and Fri evening i was called to be notified work was complete same quick service with pick up. Fast friendly service and my car looks excellent
