Scott was awesome. Helped work with my friend and I to get some neat and sweet tattoos together. No complaints here. Very meticulous and great to work with. The minimum is $80, but if you get multiple or a large one, it’s worth it.His line work was very nice and I will definitely be going back to him for more.

My daughter and I got matching tattoos for her 18th birthday. Mine is the one with color and a quote, she wanted just the plain wave. Amy did both of ours and we absolutely love them! The shop was very clean and everyone was professional and masked. Scheduling was super easy and she was able to tattoo us back to back. Going back for a industrial piercing and to plan an addition to a tattoo I got 19 years ago. She was friendly and definitely made my daughters Birthday one we will always remember. Highly recommend her!!!!

I booked an appointment with their apprentice Amy, she was very enthusiastic about doing a nordic art piece on my forearm. Her lines and knotwork are excellent. I will definitely be seeing her again for more work. If you want any kind of celtic or nordic artwork done Amy is your girl.

I went here to get a tattoo with my friend who was getting a piercing. We had heard that this place is reasonably priced and run by professionals, and it certainly was! The people here were very helpful and friendly, and chatted with me and my friend as we got our tattoo and piercing. Rich, my tattoo artist, helped me with the design I wanted so that it was the right size and looked how I wanted. (Im still new to tattoos, but he was very patient and explained how sizing affects detail of the tattoo, etc)Overall, this was a wonderful experience! My friend and I had the best time here and I would definitely recommend it to other people.

When I arrived, it was less than an hour before closing. There were a few kids waiting to get pierced and I told the staff I wanted my nose pierced but I could come back another day since it was close to closing time.They said it wouldnt be a problem and gave me the usual form you read and sign at any great parlor. The two before me wanted navel and nipple piercings and lucky me got to go first. Staff were professional and the shop is very clean. I didnt catch the gentlemans name whom was piercing me but he was great. Very quick, funny, and laid back. Pricing is very reasonable.Ive read great reviews of this place and Im glad to experience it myself. Next time Ill plan on visiting here for my next tattoo. Thanks guys!

I took my 2 daughters to get a memorial tattoo for the passing of their mother. It had been a very emotional few years for my girls. We actually made an appointment at another tattoo place and went there and felt uncomfortable with the artist who was changing the idea of what that both wanted to do and seemed to be way overpriced. When we decided this wasn’t a match we left only to be treated rudely. A couple of weeks later we didn’t make an appointment just walked in to Mystic Tattoo and was greeted and helped right away. My girls both had ideas of what they wanted incorporated in to the tattoo and it was drawn up they both loved it and decided to get it. Although very nervous being their first tattoo the artists talked to them and made jokes kept them laughing throughout the tattoos always asking if they were doing ok or needed a break and what a great job they were doing sitting still. Made me feel as a dad that my girls were in good hands. The tattoos turned out better than the drawing. I know their mother would be so proud. I would like to thank Lacy, Anthony, Rich, & Ian all the staff at Mystic Tattoo for making this experience for my girls who had been feeling so down to where 3 months has passed since getting their tattoo and I’ve never seen them smile as much in the past 3 years. Went in to get my nose pierced and before I left I also decided to get a tattoo. I have never been to a tattoo shop that was so inviting and up beat as the guys there. Such an awesome vibe. Lacy cane up with really cool idea for my tattoo. Made an appointment for another tattoo on my way out. Mystic Tattoo is my go to shop for all my piercings and tattoos!!! Love this place!

Staff was friendly and the guy who did the tattoo was super nice. Helped me with some changes in fonts and the tattoo turned out better than I imagined. Very clean area. We had a great, really smooth experience at Mystic. Everything was obviously clean and sterilized, and our piercer, Lacy, was happy to go through all the tools involved. Lacy gave myself and a friend nose piercings, and he clearly had a lot of experience (huge bonus!!). He was casual, and made us both feel really comfortable with our visit. Other patrons were fun and friendly, too!

Lacy did my tattoo as well as my three sisters. He did an amazing job. He is passionate about the lines being clean the the tattoo being done to last. Not to mention that he was so fun to sit and chat with and had a great personality. Likely to drive the 3 hours here again to get more work done. To note: very clean shop!

These guys are the best. My husband and I walked in to get tattoos together. Anthony greeted us so warmly and did our tattoos that night. He was fast, warm, and gave us just what we wanted. The most important thing, though: the atmosphere is this shop is so inviting. Two other artists were doing work ( I think their names were Rich and Ian?), and we all just chatted and laughed the whole time. Their customers were clearly happy with their work as well. Def going back here anytime I need a tattoo!

Love there business, i got an industrial bar it was very quick and easy. The shop is really nice and i definitely recommend Mystic. Anthony is the one who did my piercing and he is great, also the piercing is $60.

NEED TO IMPROVE SANITATION!I did my tattoo here a month ago. I would say the skill of the artist is 5 stars. My tattoo is exactly what I want. The artists outstanding skill makes the healing process very smooth.However, I would mention the problem of the SANITATION of the shop. Even though they have disposable needles and gloves, there are several things need to be improved.First, they do not get their tattoo pens covered.Second, they do not have tattoo clip cord covers nor the bags for wash bottles.Third, their sterilization process looks perfunctory.Before my tattoo, there was no sterilization process. After my tattoo, the artist just roughly sprayed and wiped the seat (took about 60 seconds) before getting the payment and turning to the next customer. I did not see any cleaning process on their reused equipment (like pens and bottles at all). If the sterilization of the pen and bottles is not important, why would other artists use covers and bags?All in all, great skills and nice artists. But I do think the SANITATION is the number one thing for a tattoo parlor. I am not trying to offend anyone but just to say the problems I saw.

My grandmother recently passed away, and I started messaging Lacy about a tattoo to get in memory of her, Lacy did a phenomenal job getting it all together for me. I went to this place for two piercings and they were absolutely amazing. I got the piercing for migraines and it hurt, but was done amazingly. i went in with a headache and left without one. Lacy was really nice and funny! he made me feel very welcome and calm. the place was very nice and clean. 10/10 recommend!!

My husband and daughter got tattoos together for her birthday and everything was fine. Then she went back a week later for another one, very small.She was charged the exact same amount for this 3 minute tattoo as the much more elaborate one from the weekend before. We were not very happy as it felt they were taking advantage of her due to being young and the tattoo quickly faded.She went back for the free touch up they had offered her. They didn’t have any clients at the time but refused to do the touch up because they don’t do touch ups on the weekends- it was a weekday. That was very disappointing. I don’t think they would treat their other clients that way

I cant say enough about these guys! I had a bad experience at another shop and came to Mystic despite being warned by the first shop. Rich is not only one of the sweetest and friendliest people Ive met, but he is also very skilled and talented (and patient!). He was willing to do what I was told nobody else of any quality would do. He was also willing to work on me the same day rather than waiting 2 weeks at most other shops. The atmosphere and staff at Mystic is far better than anywhere else in Charlottesville. These guys are professionals and really care about their clients and their work. You cant go wrong here!

Stopped by for a few piercings and Anthony did such a fabulous job. I will return for piercings. Theyre quick, reasonably priced, professional, clean and the environment is friendly as are the people. I would recommend 10/10.

I talked to one of the artists that do their craft there, as I would like to have an old tat I have, brightened up! They were very cool about it and welcomed me to come in and have an estimate, done under better lighting I suppose. They were good, people as far as I could tell! Checkem out!!!

Great place! I was able to get my Diath piercing done very quickly! (In case one needs to know Diath is good to help with headaches and migraines, in fact I was starting to get a migraine and as soon as the piercing was done, the pressure lifted from my head!) The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to! The parlor is clean and comfortable! I highly recommend going there!

So this was my first time getting a tattoo and I was SO nervous. But Lacy and Dusty were very warm, personable and made me feel very comfortable through the whole experience. It was a professional but fun atmosphere with lots of joking around. I got a tiny dream catcher on my neck right below my ear and it looks fantastic. I had an appointment scheduled yesterday to get my first tattoo for my 18th birthday (a really simple tattoo of the word “hallelujah” on my leg.) My mom spoke with Mystic Tattoo via Facebook Messenger and went over what I was looking for, and they said they were able to do it.However, I was met by a man with very poor customer service. I think his name is Rich, but he did not introduce himself. He immediately got angry that I didn’t have the exact name of the font that I wanted (but I clarified in the weeks prior that this was okay.) He shot down any idea I proposed about how we could make the design work. He seemed very impatient, and it did not make me comfortable at all considering this was my first tattoo experience.Thankfully I was with my best friend who visited ACME Tattoo in the past to get a piercing, so she calls them instead. I politely told the man at Mystic that I was going to try another parlor, and he got even more angry with me, saying that my tattoo would look bad anywhere I went. And to top it all off, he blocked my truck in the parking lot with his car, so I was unable to leave at first.My friend and I end up visiting ACME, and it was a breath of fresh air! I was met by Wes, and he was more than willing to work on a design that best suited my interest and vision. Within 30 minutes, I had a stencil completed, and my tattoo was finished.Moral of the story, I 11/10 recommend visiting ACME Tattoo. They made the process easy, fun, and comfortable. I am very happy with the finished product! Maybe I just went to Mystic on a bad day, but that was no excuse for how I was treated. Very uncooperative for a design that was so simple.

I got my first tattoos last July from Randy. I met with him prior to discuss what I wanted and the cost. I was super nervous and knew it would hurt (top of foot) but he was able to put me at ease, we joked around & chatted. I thought the atmosphere was relaxed and professional. I am SO incredibly pleased with my tattoos and plan to have more done sometime this summer.

SOOOO HAPPY! Bringing a tattoo virgin with myself looking for my 4th and her first! The owner Lacy was extremely welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. Very displeased with service. I called to set up an appointment. I spoke with an employee there and they said we will see you at 8pm. By then it was already 4pm and I drove over an hour to get to them. When I got there the guy that spoke with me not only said he doesnt remember setting up the appointment. But he also placed others in front of me. I know this because when I got there the same people who he placed in front of me was at another tattoo shop trying to get work done. We both left that tattoo spot together and Im thinking I already made an appointment I should be good. This place is poorly ranned and if your looking for loyalty and customer service dont look here. I came here to get a quote done on my ribs. The tattoo artist was not willing to work with me on what I wanted and instead tried to tell me what I wanted, and where I should get my tattoo. He was very demeaning and refused to collaborate to create a tattoo I was comfortable with. I was so uncomfortable that I couldnt bring myself to get my tattoo there, and I ended up at a different place and got a beautiful tattoo that I am extremely happy with. Would not recommend this tattoo shop.

Just left Mystic Tattoo in Charlottesville. Clean shop, awesome staff, laughs and then down to business. Got my nose pierced by Lacy. Awesome job, very informative, quick, and it looks perfect, he even pierced it so I can wear a hoop later. I was bleeding a bit and a little dropped on my shirt and he cleaned it for me. I highly recoommmend if you want to get a piercing, this is the place to go. I could not be happier with the results.

I went to get a daith piercing on Friday after having a terrible headache for two days. After about 30-45 minutes of my piercing my headache was gone.
