A great place to buy shoes and boots!One of the perks of buying boots from here is that you can bring them back to get cleaned and oiled for FREE. I normally stop by once a month or so to get them serviced.They have a great selection of footwear, socks, belts, and insoles. Above that, their customer service is top notch and they will take care of you.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. This store has electronic sizing, lots of seating and room to walk around. Despite changes due to the pandemic, they still sized me and let me try on three different pairs of boots to find my size. Gave me extra laces too.

Understand being cautious and having some safety precautions during this crazy covid time but arbitrarily limiting the store to 2 customers is bonkers. I stopped by twice in one morning and both times it was “at capacity”. All I needed was some shoe cleaning supplies, which was clearly visible from the window and door but I was not allowed in store. Ironic thing was there were more than 2 customers in the store each time. Lost a customer. 11/21Edit: I was in town today(11/25) so took one last chance to get what I needed. I am disappointed the shoe care items are only individual pieces, would be nice to have a small kit or something. The website/Redwing indicates there is/used to be a kit available. There were no prices on the items either and one out of two cleaning items wasnt even in the computer. Better experience but it feels as if this particular store is having some trouble.

Bought my first pair of Redwing Boots yesterday after being loyal to another manufacturer for years.. I wish I’d of done this sooner. I’m 3 hours into a 12 hour shift and my feet feel great. I’d usually be trying to find a place to sit down by now 😂The staff greeted me as soon as I entered asked me what I was looking for and helped me figure out my size right away. Best $200 I’ve ever spent on boots. Planning to make another trip there next month to get another pair for casual wear.Go check this place out, your feet will thank you

Very friendly, and helpful staff at this Red Wing store. The high tech foot analysis was impressive and I loved the parlor style leather chairs used for trying on boots. The place is like a man cave for boot wearers. The best boot buying experience Ive had. Carl is great.

I’ll ONLY be buying boots from this store and from Cathy, in the past the guys always are rushing me or making it seem like they have better things to do than help me and I’m not sure if it was the change in management or change in employees but this was the first time I’ve been helped properly and felt like I was taken care of in this store. These folks are very helpful! I am on my feet and outside at work 95% of the time so I need a pair of shoes that can handle anything. My wife bought me a pair from here for Christmas without knowing my size...I went in today to have them checked out for fit...They switched them out for the right size no questions asked and customized them so that any issues were resolved! They were excellent!!

If you have never been to a red wing shoe store I suggest going. The prices are excellent especially considering the quality you are getting. This particular store has a small display showing off some boots from years ago and how well they have held up. I will be a red wing man from now on.

My only complaint is some of the employees that work there and the speed at which it takes for an order to be shipped to your house. My boyfriend bought his first pair 2 weeks ago and the ones he wanted were not in stock so the associate offered to have them sent to our house, which was fine. They have not yet arrived, the associate advised 7-10 business days. I am willing to wait a few more before making a call to the store since they were ordered on a Friday. The particular pair of boots he ordered were listed on the website at $174.99. When the associate rang up the total it was $284. I let him know that on the website there was a different price listed, which obviously is a huge difference. When I informed the associate his response was That inst possible we dont sell shoes that cheap. Id like to see proof of that from our website not some knock off site I understand questioning that big of a price difference, but the tone of voice was so condescending like I was trying to con him into selling the shoes cheaper. The price did come from the exact website and the price was fixed but I thought the attitude about it was unnecessary.

Still cant get over the experience I had at this store. I walked in knowing what I wanted so the bar was pretty low for customer service, but Im not quite sure Ive ever experienced such a high level of service. These guys care deeply about the boots they sell, to the point of reverence. It felt like I was being fitted for a custom suit.

I worked with Carl and Brian here today. I was able to exchange a pair of boots that have caused me problems (discomfort) for a different style that had a different fit. I have several pairs of Red Wings and will be back to purchase more due to the professionalism and courtesy of this transaction. A good product goes furthest with great customer service.

I bought a pair of work boots about a year ago. About a month ago the sole on one of them started coming loose. Had a chance to bring the in this morning. First i was told we can glue that. For what i paid for them that was not the answer i expected. Then i was told it would be 110.00 to have them resoled. It was my understanding when i bought them this was covered. Left store very upset. For what i paid i would think they would have lasted more than a year. Left & went to Tractor Supply & bought a pair of Wolverens for a little bit more than you wanted to resole my redwings. Will never buy Redwings again,very disappointed !!!!!

Service is phenomenal! My husband was taken care of and they did not mind my 1.5 year old making noise. I would highly recommend coming here!

The old saying you get what you pay for is absolutely true when it comes to the Red Wing Charlottesville store. They give you great individual attention and the service they provide is top notch. At no time do you feel like they are trying to sell you a pair of shoes/boots just for the sake of making a sale...they want you to leave with a pair that fits perfectly and are unbelievably comfortable. I honestly think that if the shoes are not right, they dont want to sell them to you.Also, they stand by their products. The boots I bought I can bring back in once a month to have them oiled, laces replaced, eyelets rotated or repaired...all for free for the life of the boot!I highly recommend checking out Red Wing in Charlottesville. It is the best shoe buying and customer service experience I think Ive ever had.

Bought my first pair of RWs last week and must say that my experience was exceptional. The store manager worked with me for over an hour to find the boot that worked for me.I returned home only to notice that my toes were touching the end of the toe box. I returned the next day with the boots and Carl found me another pair (model 415) one size up and they fit me perfectly and I could not be happier. Like I said, exceptional customer service and boots, thanks Red Wing of CVille.

Would rate lower than 1 star if i could bought a pair of boots was sized wrong the liner in the boots tore and the boots cracked and the would not honor the warrenty had to call redwing directly to get help the service is awful after you buy rhe boots have bought redwings all my life but ill never biy a pair of them from them or anywhere else because of rhe bad experience!
