The installation of my previously purchased radio was handled in a professional and timely manner. The customer service reps and the installer were courteous and conscious of my time, after having traveled nearly two hours for the appointment. First installation, but many satisfied Crutchfield purchases behind me.

Amazing store visit!! I visited from Richmond at lunch on Friday and drove back on Saturday to make a car stereo purchase for my son. The in store experiences were awesome!! Well trained, knowledgeable. Gave me all the info I needed. Exceeded my expectations!! The team lead shared the phone tech supported us if we had a self install issue, sure enough, we lacked some knowledge about how to wire the harness for steering controls and walked us through on a Sunday flawlessly and helped program the SWC module. Made our day. Install complete perfect! Thanks Crutchfield team!!
When returning a clearly defective DAC with a switch that wouldnt click into place, they were condescending and insulting, insisting that brand doesnt have defects, it must be user error. Business moved to Sweetwater, thank you.

The only person who had some knowledge, whom I’m assuming was one of their techs, seemed disinterested. But they sure were happy to take my $40 for some kicker rca outs to speaker wire. I went here because I thought they had technical knowledge. But it turns out this place is just a bunch of salespeople…
Bought a camera here a few weeks ago. Since then, the camera has gone on sale. Called their customer service and after a 30 second conversation they issued a price match refund onto my card. Best customer service EVER!
Oh My Goodness. It was an hours drive, but worth it. The drive was beautiful. Customer service was great. There were a great number of items on display. We have not stopped talking about our experience. We plan on going back soon!
It was nice to be able to go into Crutchfield again. All my vehicles have had stereos and/or some sort of speakers and subwoofer installations in them by Crutchfield for about 30 years now. Dropping my rating of Crutchfield. They keep shipping me open box/used products as new items at full price. I just ship them right back to them and let them know of my disappointment. I see the discounted items on the site, but I dont chose them. I pay full price for new because I want new, not something I have no idea what the last person did to it. Youll pretty much pay retail prices at Crutchfield, but in doing so, I expect better service and products for the price. If I want used, Ill buy from eBay for half the money.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Crutchfield is one of the few remaining companies that actually cares about their customers satisfaction and they prove it over and over again through their actions. As long as youre honest with them and not trying to rip them off, I believe they will do just about anything to make you happy. They arent the cheapest around, but if you have a problem with something, they will do everything they can to help you out. They are an honest company and Im happy to give them my business.

I have been a long time customer of Crutchfield online for many years due to their wide selection, reasonable prices and fantastic customer service. So you would think that I would not be surprised when I entered there brick and mortar store in Charlottesville. Well, it took me quite a while to wrap my head around all of the displays for vehicles (which I was shopping for) and home sound & theater. Try to not dream about a McIntosh stereo system! Eventually, I had a consultation with one of their team members and we came up with a perfect plan to upgrade my car stereo system. Since they were not all that busy, I was able to leave my vehicle and go do some shopping for a few hours. When I returned I found a perfect, clean install of all my stereo equipment. They are the best no matter what your budget. You will not be disappointed with the crew running this shop or their amazing selection!!! Enjoy
I was really excited about going to the store and seeing the many different products that I always see in their catalogs. The staff is very helpful. They let just walk around without trying to sell me anything!! I had no intention of purchasing anything, I left out purchasing something 😊. It was great to see all the stuff that I probably cannot afford anytime soon. The reason why I would not give it five stars is because everything that I wanted to listen to had to be hooked up. Once again the stuff was helpful in hooking it up for me.

The team was exactly on time and all service was performed as ordered. One small problem popped up but the guys figured it out and completed their work in a timely manner. In addition, they spent time with me showing me how to ensure the equipment worked properly. I will use them again in the future.

They were terrific! Although the project did not include my side Blindspot cameras because of a glitch in design with JVC everything came out great! They provided everything I needed, and Gave me a full refund on everything I did not need! The lifetime tech-support aint bad either...
Several months ago, my jeep radio went out. I finally made it to Crutchfield on June 2nd. I found a radio with the bells and whistles I wanted. They explained they were booked out for putting the radio in and I understood. However, they were able to schedule me for June 18th (or so I thought). On the 18th, I drove the hour from my house to get my radio placed in. Once I got there, I was told I was not put on the schedule, but they would make it work. It only took 45 minutes which was great. I got back in my car and the radio looked a little wonky, but I just figured that is what it should look like since it was not an original radio. The following day I was driving out of town and needed to use my AC... which did not turn on- no lights, no fan, nothing. So Monday I called and spoke with a manager who reassured me I could come in any time and they would take a look. My husband and I went a few days later. They took my car back and found that my AC was never plugged back in from working on my radio. The manager stated that was a part of their check off list, but they missed it. He acknowledge that was embarrassing for his staff and made things right. They also took the time to make the radio fit better in that space, set the time, and date. Thank you for the managers for making it right and worth the drive!
I contacted Crutchfield in Charlottesville, VA to have a modern stereo and back-up camera installed in my inherited 2000 Toyota Tundra pick-up that belonged to my dad. When backing up the truck, you were really blind if a small child or animal was behind the tailgate. Plus, with the new law about cell phones when driving, I wanted to get a hands-free system. When I searched on Crutchfield’s website, I found what I wanted plus much more, like Apple Car Play. I contacted Crutchfield and they made an appointment in a short time for professional installation. The quality of workmanship on the installation is quite impressive. Plus, the staff at Crutchfield, especially Abby who helped me, were exceptional. Abby’s personality made me feel like she genuinely cared about the customer service she offered to me. Kudos to the staff and the installers. I REALLY appreciate you all.

Drove 6.5 hours round trip to have rear view camera checked out that was on the blink showing the driver an upside down view. The tech said he was able to reverse the view to normal and in the same breath said the problem I experience was often the result of a camera going bad. The little guy on my shoulder thought I might be advised to install a new camera!? The next day after the 6.5 hour trip the camera acted up again. My gripe is I wish the tech had been slightly more assertive informing me that the better alternative would have been to install a new camera as I had driven almost 200 miles one way to have the camera checked out. I will replace the camera locally. Thx Crutchfield.
I received excellent support and service for my recent purchase. I was extremely pleased with the experience.
Owen did offer a refund, but wasn’t getting my point. Honestly, he was short and didn’t offer any other solutions. Situation was I bought 4 speakers from Crutchfield that included factor wiring attachments. I received the speakers but NO wiring attachments, they said they where on back order. I checked over the web and could not find them anywhere, obviously, it’s for a 30 year old car and the manufacturer probably doesn’t make them anymore. Problem is that Crutchfield sells these for more then other places but I bought them because they came with the extra wiring. They sell them for $9.99 each or free with purchase. So they billed me for entire amount and didn’t send wiring. So what’s my guarantee that they will ever send them? If the manufacturer stopped making them what is Crutchfield going to do? Owen couldn’t and wouldn’t answer this for me. These speakers are $16 cheaper on Amazon.

I went to Crutchfield to have some sound dampening installed on my car.They have numerous videos on their website stating that road noise can be reduced by at last half.Much to my surprise the technician told me that installing it on a car is a complete waste of money. He didnt even bother to come look at my car. I pointed out the videos on their site, whereas the tech shrugged it off as we have to make money somehow.Very disappointing as I drove 50 minutes out of the way to check with sound installation specialists.

Andrea was wonderful. I told her what I was looking for in speakers for my 2013 Camaro. The sound room is wonderful and it’s nice to actually hear the units that you are trying to select. I drove 2 hrs away because my local audio business is lackluster. I will update after my items are installed. Salesperson was great and choosing my stuff was enjoyable and trouble free. I’m only giving 4 stars because I haven’t heard the items yet. If they sound half as good in store as they do in the car, I’ll surely give a five.
People in there not like it used to be. 2 of them only been there a month didnt know much. I have shopped there since they were near the airport and still have a few PPI amps and some kenwood items but their staff arent trained or into what they sell. I remember bill when he had hair.

Went in to see a range of speakers and it was great. The speaker emulator room is very impressive and being able to listen to a few speakers helped me decide. Very knowledgeable staff too, helped me eliminate some speakers I was considering but he knew I wouldn’t like the sound signature.

I went in to update some old equipment. I had not purchased audio equipment in 20 years and needed a lot of information. The staff member took as much time as I needed, thoroughly explained all options and helped me make the appropriate purchase. There was no attempt to pressure me or oversell any products. I recently required new audio equipment in my Honda 2006. As I was still running with my factory install I required more than just a radio. The advisor at Crutchfield helped me identify what dash kit and other installation pieces for my vehicle. Every person I spoke to was knowledgeable and a delight to speak to. The parts came well packaged and in perfect condition. I was elated by the fact they use biodegradable packing peanuts - starch based that melts when exposed to water. That is a HUGE plus for me.Upon installation it was found that I misidentified my vehicle and therefore lacked the proper connector for the radio. I called and had the ($15) part in hand 2 days later, free of charge.They have my business for life and I will recommend them to everyone. Thanks guys!!!!

Awesome experience dealing with Crutchfield. My factory car radio died, I decide to replace it on my own. I go to Crutchfield and buy the kit I need to replace it. Crutchfield is very good at supplying the customer the whole kit you need to replace your factory radio. That is what the business was based on..right? I know enough to make my self dangerous when it comes to electronics. I installed my new radio, and it didnt work. I show up at the store in Charlottesville, and a professional installer shows me first hand that I was just two steps from being successful in my new install. I had never installed a car stereo before. You got yourself a loyal customer for life.

I went there to get information on turntables and speakers. I spoke with a very knowledgeable gentleman named Mike. He explained very thoroughly the process of set up and operation and equipment needed. I have not made a decision as to what to purchase, however, with his expert assistance, I have a much better idea.
A salesman came over immediately. He got the item I needed from the stock room. The price was reasonable, and the transaction was completed quickly.

The team at the main office and at the retail install store were phenomenal. This is what the low internet pricing stores cant beat- personal interaction, expertise, and customer service. I had a special car that needed unique expertise on what was compatible in order to get me the back up camera and a microphone that would work with the top down, not to mention awesome sound and Android Auto. The team did a great job on the install for a very reasonable price.

There is a reason why all these brick and mortar stores are closing and crutchfield cont to be going on strong. their customer service is top notch.ed, and carl at tech support has helped me immensely. i believe the other guy that helped me was adam (forgot his name because he was the first one i spoke to weeks ago).really, i remember telling my buddies how amazing the customer service is. these days, you just are not used to this type of service. my first radio was from crutchfield 18 years ago when i got my license, and here i am installing another one, that is way more involved and they helped solve all the issues.lets put it this way. i have never written a google review, and i am so impressed with their help, that i am writing one. really really top notch. if i could give them 10 stars, i would.

Chris came out on his day off yes I said day off because he was going to be in my area and stopped by to get my estimate started rather than waiting another two weeks for an opening. Installation however I had to wait my turn as they are busy because they are good at what they do. I cant remember the name of my installers but they were top notch professionals. Went by this afternoon to listen at sound bars and surround sound for wifes birthday present. The man that tried to help us did not know how to get the bose speaker to work. He managed to get a polk speaker to work but the sound was choppy and awful. Hes response was oh thats the wifi. Didnt awful any working alternative because he could get a headphone jack or bluetooth to work either. I dont know how this place is still in business.

By far the best place in Charlottesville for any and all of my camera needs. Which is both a gift and a curse because of how close by I live. They usually have what I need in stock and if not they will have it there within a day or two. The staff is always knowledgeable and very quick to help.

Bottom line first – Their installer was unqualified and trashed my new vehicle. I purchased $1,500 receiver from Crutchfield for a new vehicle two months ago. It was the holidays so it took few weeks to schedule the installation. I asked the sales person when I made the appointment if they had installed this type of receiver before and he assured this was routine. My appointment was for 2:00 until 7:00PM. I dropped off the car at 1:00 and I asked again if they had experience with this type of equipment. I was told that they installed them for a new car dealer routinely. I came back at 7:00. The car was not finished until 8:00 an hour after the store was closed. The salesmen locked the door as we went out to look at the job. The receiver had limited functionality and the windshield was scratched with deep gouges. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
Everyone was very helpful in reaching a decision on the product that we chose. The sales person was very interested in explaining every aspect and in some cases doing it over and over. Not hurried and careful to get it right.
