Window Depot of Charlottesville installed a window to replace a bay window that had rotted. Everyone from the office staff, sales rep and installation crew was awesome. If I had questions before the installation I got a quick response. Jarrod and his installation crew were so nice. They did a wonderful job and answered any questions I had. They cleaned up before they left. He even called to let me know they were on their way the day of the install. I am very impressed with them and would use them again. I highly recommend them.

The sales person who came to provided my initial introduction to the windows was very knowledgable and very low key. He answered my questions and was professional. The employees who came to measure were professional as were the installers who were competent and efficient. The administrative personnel were responsive in keeping me informed about installation dates and any changes that might need to be made. The Window Depot salesman and installation crew were excellent! They installed a replacement sliding glass French Door style doors. Beautiful product. The time of between ordering and delivery was several months due to Covid effects on manufacturing and shipping. Thank you!

The salesperson gave me all of the details I needed and showed me a ton of different options and pricing that correlated to the options. In the end it was exactly what we envisioned. The installers had both doors done in a morning and I couldn’t be happier. I’ll be back for future projects.

No major complaints. The only reason Im not rating 5 stars is it wasnt a perfect experience, but it was much better than expected considering how hard it is to find people and companies that do good work and communicate. I was braced for far more issues than we had.It took a very long time after order to get the windows, but we were fine with that since we didnt want the install happening in the dead of winter anyway. There was one trim piece that didnt come with the package that had to be custom ordered and that took a couple weeks to get finished but it wasnt a big deal.The salesman, Mike was very helpful in presenting the product options and was available through the process if we needed anything he could help with.DeNika in the office did a good job keeping me informed and scheduling appointments.The field crew was outstanding. Melvin is a master glazier on the caulking! The whole crew was professional, polite and good at what they do, and I think we had both of their crews because we were replacing all of the windows on a two story house. They were also done in really good time, so they are doing a bang up job for the owners. They worked very hard, no slacking at all.The product is good for the value. A few little quirks, most of which were able to be adjusted by Melvin and he showed me how to even make some of my own adjustments. The windows gobble up some space so they have a smaller field of vision than what they replaced and the window blinds had to be reinstalled so they stick out of the opening a bit because the new windows stick so much farther in to the opening than the old. Any spring loaded curtain rods could no longer be used because of this.The bottom of the screens are visible when they are slid all the way up. A little nitpicky but not the best look. We took almost all of the screens out anyway, both for the view but also we only open windows at certain times of the year and then its only certain windows. So the fact that some of the screens dont dock like they are supposed to in the up position isnt a problem generally. There was nothing Melvin could do with a few of them, its a manufacturing flaw, vinyl welds that were built up a little too much. Not a deal breaker.They are easy to clean although we cant seem to get little circles off the glass on some of them. Looks to me from suction cups. Its not super visible though. I havent tried a solvent yet.We love that we chose to not have the grids in the glass. The new bay window is now like a window to the world! Or at least the forest in our case...We, without question, recommend Window Depot of Charlottesville and would use them again ourselves AND buy the product again.

Our new windows from Window Depot have upgraded the appearance of our entire house even more than we expected. We spoke with several window companies and chose Window Depot based on the value and the experience we had dealing with the people at the company. We had a variety of windows replaced and the staff at Window Depot made the process go very smoothly. Everyone we dealt with was exceptionally nice from Mike, who took our initial order, to the office folks who kept us informed, to the guys who came to do the measurements and installations - all were helpful and professional. We really appreciated that everyone wore masks and took safety seriously without us having to ask. We highly recommend Window Depot for windows that are a great value with a great warranty!

3.5 - Very happy with my windows and the installers. The only reason, I didn’t rate higher is because the timeframe kept getting moved with no communication from them unless I reached out which was slightly disappointing. Many are busy and wait times are high, which can’t be helped- but the lack of communication on such was frustrating at times.

Covid slowed the delivery of the windows and door, but when they did come in, they got right to work. Windows look great and the work only took 2 days. 7 windows and a patio door.

Frank Amorys team from Window Depot installed my windows last winter. I also bought Norman shades from Window Depot. One shade wasnt operating properly. Just from photos, the team diagnosed the problem. Today, Sam the technician arrived and replaced a small part. He had the shade back to normal in less than five minutes! Sam and the WD family deserve A++++ for their diligence, customer service, and high quality products. From a very satisfied customer, highly recommended!!

We had an excellent experience with Window Depot. Mike the salesperson gave us an in-depth presentation on the types of windows they vend, and bid for the replacement of one window and all windows. The prices were reasonable. Due to the COVID epidemic, we decided only to replace our large damaged living room window. However, we will be coming back to WD to replace the remaining windows next year once COVID has passed. The company delivered our new window in the promised time frame and installers did a flawless job of installing. Be sure to consider this firm if you are in the market for new windows!

We interviewed three top window replacement companies from Angie’s List. What appealed to us about Window Depot was 1. Frank, the owner, came to do the interview/assessment. 2. Frank had several window options to choose from, all of which were good options. He helped us tailor the 14 window replacement to our needs. We decided to go with triple pane Vynal windows 3. Frank’s prices were competitive and even significantly lower than the other two companies interviewed. 4. There was no pressure from Frank to buy - no rushing us to make a snap decision. 5. Fixing rotted out wood sills before wrapping them was done for a nominal fee, and done well. 6. The crew was seasoned, polite, and efficient. 7. The windows were actually installed ahead of schedule - yay! 8. Company follow up/support was superb from the time the windows were ordered and after installation. 9. Wow, the triple pane windows really do block the sound! (we live off a road, and the difference from single pane to triple pane is significant).10. The beginning was professional, first appointment at the house, quote, and measuring. It was the installation of the windows when things began to deteriorate. My phone call did not have a time of arrivaland she did not know about the installation of blinds. Day one of installation was not so bad. It was day two of installation that things went down hill. We were short one worker and then one employee with a rolling walker due to a leg in a cast took off for 3 hours to visit the doctor. The other worker had a bad knee from falling off a ladder and he rested during the time the other worker was at the doctors. A two day job now became we are leaving and will be back tomorrow. The caulking around the wrapping was not professional. You would think that when you have new windows installed, they would clean them. NO. The windows had stuff on them and finger prints everywhere. I questioned cleaning and was told no. Leave it to say, I was not pleased and majorly disappointed.

Support the underdog! These guys dont use contractors and stick to excellent in-house employees that are proud of who they work for. Also, excellent product--but thats almost an afterthought when considering their superb customer service.

I had a wonderful experience with Window Depot. Frank the sales rep came out to our house numerous times to get the measurements right for our new sunroom. The work crew came out on a Sunday to instal the windows because it rained on our scheduled day. They always communicated with us if they were even a few minutes late. We love our new sunroom.
