The environment is so chill and easygoing. Staff is knowledgeable and on top of what I needed. Best place for Magic the Gathering items and help!

Brought some cards in the other day and the guy that took them told me I would get a good offer. Few days later I was emailed from some girl that they wouldnt take them.... a total waste of time and gas money to travel 1 hr one way for this.. I doubt I will come to this store ever again. I will be getting my future games and cards from 3rd eye games. They have better customer service, support, and will do what they can for you. This place here dont seem to know how much money they are losing out on from this customer. Cause I just dont think they know how to treat the customer. Any way, see you wouldnt want to be you.

I was just in the store today with 3 kids. Other people have said other good things about the store, but I want to highlight how they welcomed the kids, and the staff worked with the kids for quite a bit of time on a Pokémon card trade. The kids traded in cards for store credit, and browsed through an enormous binder asking for multiple price checks until they found the perfect cards. The staff made it fun, a pleasure to work with the kids. These kids are all under 12. I like the store a lot, but my kids love this place.

A wonderful find! Nice layout with a decent selection. We went having heard they had puzzles and we found so much more! Definitely recommend a visit!

I drove 30 minutes away to stop by since the new Evolving skies came out, and to pick up some penny sleeves. Unfortunately for me, this company likes to rip people off. Evolving skies trainer boxes are $15 more than any other retail store, and penny sleeves are $3 for 100.. no thanks. You guys are a total joke.

These guys have alot of role-play boardgames and action figure models. They host social events for boardgames which is great way to meet people and interact. Right now, they are requiring masks if you are not fully vaccinated and must show proof of vaccine.

I’ve spent hundred of dollars here and always had the best customer experience service with Andy and Thomas! Great guys! This time, 8/1/21 Matt was supposed to be helping me. Today, we’re celebrating my Fiancé’s birthday! Unfortunately Matt gave us the rudest customer service. Rude in the things he said and the way he said them. Rude to my FIANCÉ, And after our purchase of $50 this time, we wanted to play at the gaming side of the place. He said we had to “check in” (which has never happened any other time we’ve been here) and that we had to prove our vaccinations (even though nobody was there). We will gladly go to Cavalier cards and spend hundreds there instead🙂

Best board game/TCG place in Charlottesville by far

Its an amazing place! I bought a lot of my pokemon cards there! Just one question i forgot to ask when i was there, “DO YOU GRADE CARDS?”

Their staff is always very friendly and almost always talking about some D&D campaign they are in or some other similar topic when I come in. Love to see that they are all passionate about something the store sells.

Was a 5*. Its changed over time. Employees the last few times were neither rude or friendly, just disengaged. Almost made us feel like a bother. The prices are also insulting. Evolving Skies Elite Trainer Box is $54 here where everywhere else has it for $40. Cmon, this isnt some old rare set. This and many other examples are overpriced and I have no reason to shop here when Target, Walmart, GameStop, etc are cheaper and more customer friendly.

Ive shopped and gamed at TEG for as long as theyve been a business. The ensure every employee they have is knowledgeable about their products and the games they sell, and theyre always willing to do whatever they can to help you. Having been in game stores not only across the country but even internationally, I can say you will rarely ever find a game store as big or as friendly as TEG.

Its a coin toss whether youll get friendly helpful staff. $5 just for the privilege to sit at one of their tables seems a little much, but that might just be me.

I will say that everyone here was very friendly and it is a very nice place, if I had more time in my life I’d love to hang out here and get into D&D, TCGs, and such.Now why I’m only giving two stars is because I brought my 500+ card yugioh collection in to sell and they gave me an insultingly low offer on it. Im fully aware that I obviously won’t get what it’s actually worth as they have to make money off it, I buy things to flip such as guns and guitars all the time I so know the principle of it. But they offered me $15 for my entire collection of over 500 cards, many of which were very rare and 1st edition. I had atleast 20 that were worth $15 or more individually, I checked all the values of the cards before I brought them in and it totaled to roughly $600.... I would’ve been fine with half of that but $15 is an extremely small fraction.I told them no, I’d rather keep them and as I was walking away they bumped up their offer to $20... how tempting.I will again say they were very nice and friendly throughout the whole ordeal but they must have thought I didn’t know what I had and were trying to take advantage.

I got the jank foil Ive been searching for but had to pay almost twice the value for it.

For months I called and asked about shining fates preorders. They say they’ll do them and release info on Facebook, every time. 3 days before release I call and am like okay they’re not really preorders anymore, are you doing anything or not?? They finally call a manager and say oh no we’re not, sorry. But you can order them online at midnight the day of release! Oh really? Midnight rolls around, nothing. I check later in the day and they’ve marked ETBs up from 50 to 110!!!! These are just scalpers with a building, find somewhere else local to buy. Or help keep GameStop afloatEdit: and fwiw I used to go here all the time when I was a kid, so it sucks to have to share this info. But people should know

Pretty overpriced, even when compared to other brick-and-mortar game stores. Honestly, unless you have to have the brick-and-mortar store experience, just get it on Amazon.

It was awesome! Dedicated gamers staff it, they have a comprehensive stock of board games, rpg, vintage video game consoles and discs, miniatures, paint, model kits and puzzles.

Went by today just to see what new board games they had. It is really cool to see the amazing variety of games they have, every time there is something new! Plus, a lot of times they have recent Kickstarter games! They also have a ‘rental’ section of board games. So, if you are curious to try a game without spending the full price tag first- you might find it to rent. I like being able to ask for advice about games too, something I really can’t do on Amazon with any dependability. I’m too much of an introvert to attend any of their events but they seem like a lot of fun. Great place!

This place is what some ancient monks would call The bees bees or Amazeballs. Always come here for anything you need, even chips or a refreshing beverage. Chuck Norris once said Shane has good stuff. If you like Magic, then come here because its where it was born. The End Games is better than tacos... and thats saying a lot coming from me. Just dont bring rubber bands, they hate rubber bands.

What a wonderful place! I wish I had found the End Games sooner. The personnel are knowledgeable, friendly, & informative.The place is clean, well-maintained, & the environment is inclusive and fun. This business caters to all ages & all walks of life.

I love the atmosphere of the shop! Its very laid back, so its relaxing to walk around and look and their merchandise. And its really clean and well lit, unlike most gaming stores. They have stuff for experienced gamers to first time gamers and they even have baby/preschool games. There was also a $1 entry for a giveaway where my husband won a stack of about 15 magic the gathering cards. Staff was very polite and friendly and more than willing to help. We will definitely be returning soon!

Great board game selection!

****Just to clarify I had a few incidents with the End Games but since leaving this review the owner has reached out to me and offered to make up for the mishap. Mistakes happen and I acknowledge that, the fact of the matter is that the owner reached out to rectify the situation and I can appreciate the direct customer support.****I really want to support The End Games as its my local game store but I have been left frustrated and disappointed. I bought product from them and pre-ordered to ensure I got my hands on promos and to ensure I got product the day it released but once I went to pickup the product Ive pre-ordered, it had disappeared and I was given the response sorry, we must have miscalculated the number of items we have. Makes me feel as though items were put aside for preferred customers. Again I want to support a local business but when I am fed the same excuse, it feels as though Im being cheated out of something that Im just as entitled to as the next guy.

The atmosphere was peaceful, the stafff were helpful, and they have stuff for the whole family when it comes to board games and other supplies

Im not from the area, but I drive through Chancellorsville 3 or 4 times a year. On my most recent trip, I decided to stop by The End Games to check out the store. I was specifically looking for non Warhammer miniatures to paint. I found plenty. I also found paints, games, books, and dice. Anything I could think I might want they had. I was good though and limited myself to some minis and some dice.Unfortunately when I got home, I realized the dice werent in my bag. I searched my car and couldnt find them there either. I called the store only to find that of course, I had left them sitting on the counter. They happily told me theyd set them aside for me to come pick up. When I told them I lived hours away, they immediately offered to mail them to me. The selection at this store was great, but whats going to guarantee this becomes a regular stop for me was the graciousness of the staff and the speed they got it to me. One of the best game stores Ive ever been to.

The customer service and game/card selection is awesome! I went in and asked for someone to teach me to play Magic the Gathering so that I could play with my boyfriend, and they had someone sit down with me and teach me all of the rules and do a practice game. They gave me one of each of the welcome decks so that I could figure out my own play style before purchasing a deck of my own. I would highly recommend!

A great place for table top games. They have board games for sale, miniatures, paint, dice, magic cards, and dungeon and Dragons accessories. Friendly people. Free play space for groups to play if you dont have your own space.

You wont find a more welcoming place to enjoy gaming. The MTG scene is second to none and its my favorite spot to play DnD. Ive made friends here that Im sure Ill carry through life. I highly recommend coming here for table top gaming or anything game related.

Bought over $16 in magic singles and asked for 3 basic lands and he told me they were 5 cents each. After I said that 3 basic lands wasnt asking much he laughed at me and said oh youre trying to get free lands yeah we dont do that here. The singles were under $10 online at time of purchase, which is whatever cause I needed the cards at the time, so I digress. Penny pinchers and arrogant. Most stores dont charge for basic land and you would think after spending a decent amount on cardboard 3 basic lands isnt asking much, even still the way he answered was unprofessional and rude. Will not be coming back.

My son keeps me coming back! Its the place to get game cards. The choice across different games is myriad. The guys behind the counter are always the same. They can talk to you in depth about everything they have in stock and will help you on the spot to get additional detailed and complete information on any item that interests you. They also host gaming competitions frequently. It seems to me that the serious gaming inthusiasts will find this store is the best in town and for miles around.

I feel sorry I havent reviewed this store already. Ive been here a bunch of times for magic events now and the staff are always super helpful and nice. As in they try to learn your name and chat with you a bit in the down time. Its just a really great atmosphere, and the drafts are always fun! And hard!

I am new to gaming and went in to see what the store was all about. The staff greeted me and took the time to figure out what kind of games I might like based on my interests. I expected feel like an outsider walking into an unknown place, but The End Games crushed those expectations and made me feel like I had been there a hundred times before. If you are into gaming at all I recommend you drop in and give them a visit.

Id like to leave a review because this place was the most welcoming, clean, enjoyable atmospheres I have ever been in when it comes to Hobby stores or FLGS. When I first walked in I was immediately greeted by a tall gentleman and a lovely lady with glasses, and made me feel incredibly welcome. I wasnt alone and came with my brother, I live about an hour away but wanted to try a different store to find new products, etc, and upon talking to him further he feels the same way!The product was nicely shelved, accessible, and really professionally displayed, the atmosphere, the enjoyment people had when playing MtG on this day was amazing to see. My brother was looking for a specific model for Warhammer 40k which they didnt have, he lives 4 hours away though but was pleased to hear the attentiveness and desire to help him by offering to order it for him!Even though we didnt purchase anything this day it has left a lasting impression on me and will be conducting my business 100% at this store, it for one is well worth the drive for how nice and lovely the staff is, and they have a membership program as well! Im excited to stop back in and compliment the establishment on how well they handle business and will recommend this store to everyone in my area and friends as well! 10 STARS!!

Best place in town for collectible card games, board games and just gaming in general. If youre a Magic player, this is the shop to visit. Not the only place to get cards but the best by far. Very friendly staff and a nice, welcoming environment. They also buy/sell/trade individual Magic cards.

Ive been an infrequent patron of this shop at its various locations for almost twenty years now. First as a collector and hobbyist and then as a seller/trade-in customer. These guys have always been the best in Charlottesville, but their current crew really seems to be among the best in the business. If you like MTG, any collectible card games, board games, Warhammer, or anything in that vein, you will find helpful service and a great selection of products.

I went to one of their scheduled D&D Adventurers League events, and the event was extremely disorganized, with the staff setting up tables on the fly and people still coming in over 30 minutes after the scheduled start time. Despite the late arrivals, there wasnt enough room for everyone to join.It was a very poor showing for an establishment claiming to be inclusive and welcoming to new players.

Great place.I love the LAN time system, but I usually end up waiting for 45 minutes for the game to update before I can play it.They said when that happens they will gladly refund the $3 for that time spent waiting, but they cant be bothered to just updated the games so I dont have to wait.Got Comcast at home now, so I dont bother anymore.

While the atmosphere may be nice, they tend to favor Magic over any other card game. What they dont tell you on their site is that stock/demand is what dictates how much they are willing to offer. I have left feeling like Ive been cheated 3 times now. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Been coming here for about a week. Not only do they have the most events, the best hours, the most playing space, they also have some of the best workers wholl help you learn the games. Magic has a huge following and ad a newb Ive felt nothing but welcome. The playet base also are both extremely competitive but also extremely helpful. If your looking for a place to have fun, play trading card/board/video games,this is the place for you.
