After a little mishap while replacing our window screen, our lower window glass shattered. After calling a few places to inquire about the length of time it would take to replace ( 3 weeks), I reached out to Dodson Glass. Very friendly gentleman answered and said they could have it ready in 1 day once we dropped it off. The window looks as good as new again. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks again!

We ordered a new picture window the 1st week of March...and were told the installation would be in 3 weeks. We paid a 60% deposit when we ordered the window. We were going to put our home on the market April 15. After many, many excuses, and over 3 months later we still do not have the glass..and our home has sold and closing is in 10 days.Awful company and no one knows anything when you ask them.

Literally the easiest that this whole process couldve been. I called, they came at exactly the time they said, they did it super fast and left. Seems like these things are always more complicated than they need to be, but not this time. These guys were awesome. Thanks to Mark & Andy.

JUST AWFUL. I think all the other reviews must have been written by friends and family of the owner. If I could give zero stars, I would. They came out and measured my screens on May 18. I was told it would take a week and a half. Six weeks later, still no screens. I got constant excuses: the person handling that just stepped out and will call back in ten minutes; we are swamped with the pandemic and will have them ready in a week; the guy who is making them just went out back and I will have an answer this afternoon for you; we are making things for UVA for back to school and are backed up. On and on it went. I would take my business elsewhere if you are thinking of hiring them.

Was considering hiring these folks to replace a mulled window in my living room, have had 2 other estimates by other companies so far, this guy showed up 15 minutes late, did not even measure my window or go over any options with me. He handed me two flyers and left. He also didnt wear a mask either. Totally unprofessional.

We ordered a new door for our office, as we were doing renovations. They promised to install a door at a certain date, no one showed up on the promised date (even though this date was confirmed many times through our contractor being in touch with them), We called to check and they said the glass was not cut and they promised it would be in the following week. No one showed up on the second date they have given us, when we called this time they said the glass was not shipped and it should be shipped and be in stock next week. (By this time we are 3 weeks behind schedule). When they finally showed up, installation team did a great job. I called them for an estimate for tinting our windows, a gentleman showed up took measurements and said he would send us an estimate the next day by noon. This was a week ago. I tried calling back twice, they took my name and number but never heard back.. Once they have your product in stock and come to install I think they do a great job, however the trick is to get an estimate :/ or get your order installed

This is THE laziest company I have met. Don’t bother setting a deadline with them, they don’t care and will at least add 2 months. They disregard your company policy smoking cigs and blocking your entrances even when they aren’t on the site. DO NOT USE THESE HALF WITS. They can’t even give a proper estimation of a potential job site. Seriously, do not hire the fools. Or for another company to read.. don’t hire their former employees for anything other than a mule to carry glass.

We were on a tight timeline to have window repair work and Dodson Glass & Mirror were very accommodating. They had someone come out the same day I called. When they were having trouble locating a part for repair work, they had someone come out the same day I spoke with them on the phone to make measurements for a replacement window instead of repair. Excellent customer service.

I Replaced the Storefront windows in my business. I Could not be more pleased. The installers were courteous and polite. Needless to say, I will be using Dodson for work in my home as well.

Awesome service. I called to say we were on our way and wasn’t sure we were going to make by 4:30; they waited the few extra minutes. Took our broken window and said it would be repaired and ready next day. They are so courteous and efficient as well as very reasonably priced!

Dodson replaced the door and frame at my work today.Very professional and fast. They had the entire job done in an hour and a half. The two workers worked like a team and did a perfect job. Very pleased at a job well done!

Dont even bother calling them. They are too busy to answer phone or email messages. we were referred to have custom shower doors made and installed. could never get mark dodson to call back or reply to emails. he was never there when we came in, and we were told he is just so busy. Too busy to take on more business, apparently. that is not a bad problem to have if you are him, but not a good problem if you want service. they should just tell people that they are unable to accept new customers at this time.

Quick and efficient service

Horrible customer service!!! It took me days and days and days just to get an appointment scheduled to have my windows serviced. Every time I called they took my name and number and told me they would call back, but I never received a return call. On about the 5th time I tried to set up an appointment, they actually sent someone to my home to take measurements and I was promised a quote within 24 hours. About 48 hours passed and no return quote. I called and again they took my name and number and they said they had to call me back. Not surprising, no call. Dont waste your time with Dodson. I finally called Charlottesville Glass and Mirror....great customer service and very timely.

Terrible cust service!I asked how to transport--no response.Glass cracked while arranging in van.Got more attitude because I tried to transport vertically--nobody dies that...Got attitude while asking for a discounted replacement.Accepted zero blame for not telling me how to transport--this killed the replacement sale and all further business with them.A simple Im so sorry but theres nothing we can do would have gone a long way...

I dropped four window screens off to be repaired at Dodson Glass and Mirror in Charlottesville, VA. It took Dodson over three weeks to have them ready and I commented on how long it took to receive my new screens and the employees response was that the screen tech was on vacation. To my surprise the window screens were two inches too wide despite leaving the old screens as a reference. I brought this error to the attention of the owner Amy who insisted on fixing the screens. I had mentioned to Amy that I would be moving out of state and she said she would ensure the screens would do what she could to ensure they were available to my realtor who I assigned as my representative.I was reluctant to have Dodson fix the screens because it already took them too long to fix the screens, but I agreed. After three additional weeks the window screens were not ready and by then I had not move out of state. I left my realtors phone number and I called several times to followup on the status of the screens. Again, the screen tech was absent due to an illness. I finally was able to reach Amy who suggested she left a message to my realtor indicating the screens were ready. However, I had asked when the call was made and Amy responded that it was prior to my most recent call. It makes no sense that I would call after she called my realtor as she indicated. Furthermore my realtor said she never received a call from Amy. Amy’s response was that she does not have the time to followup on every customer who does not pick up their products.In total, Dodson had my screens for over two months which is much too long. Customer service is not a priority at Dodson Glass. It’s also bad business to rely on a single screening tech for a screening and glass company. Had it been my business I would cross train other employees in case of emergencies. It would be wise to go with another business and save yourself the heart ache.
