The corporate customer support is terrible but the manager was absolutely fantastic correcting an issue we had.Great in store service and selection. Clean, friendly, and knowledgeable.
The person working there was so nice and helpful. They went above and beyond, even though we were accidentally there at closing time!

Sent my 68 hofner in to have a broken tuning knob replaced. The person who worked on it held onto it for 6 months and would not give me a clear answer on why. I made it clear that if he could not find an original just put any tuning knob on that works. When I get my voice back everything looks good. But Im off later I realize the original pickguard was cracked. They did not inform me of this and I did not ask them to mess with anything other than the tuning knob and restricting. I would recommend that nobody takes their gear there. They lied to me and messed up my guitar and never said anything. I paid $80 for them to break my stuff.
Great place to get all my music supplies. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Definitely my go to music store .

This store has great prices, customer service, and all around is a great place to go if you need any musical gear! I worked with Kat while I was looking to purchase a new bass guitar amp, which is exactly what I ended up doing. Because of her excellent customer service I will be continuing my business at this location in the nearby future. If anyone needs good gear at a reasonable price this is the place to go and if you happen to work with Kat you will be in good hands!
The in store customer service is great.. But the customer service department is not. They will not return calls or answer the phone. I have repeatedly called over and over again for a payoff and no one has yet to call me back. Went in the store to get it and there system does not update promptly.They do a great job in rental repairs, having it back in a timely manner.. Just Customer Service department. :(

Would give them -0 if I could. If you tell me, my clarinet needs a complete re-pad, re-cork, replace 1 spring and a cleaning and I tell you, I want 4 out of the 5 done because I dont want to spend a lot of money...is it good customer service to turn away a repair job, customer of any sort??? Arent you running a business? I guess because I didnt go with ALL of your costly suggestions, all of a sudden Music and Arts Charlottesville dont do instrument cleans, or spring repairs individually? Why must the work I get include everything you suggest, all at once, or I cant get any service at all? I needed a new carrying case and reeds to but wont be giving your store a dime, I will order from Amazon, and rent my childrens instruments at any other music store. Sounds like Im the only one Not allowed to get an instrument clean... unless it includes a complete re-pad with it, Im sure others have been to this location and have gotten only the services they request. Its stupid you cant do an instrument cleaning, because Im not spending $197.75 to include a complete re-pad. Im the customer, try providing CUSTOMER SERVICE, you could have made money off of me in other ways, like the band book I need to buy for this upcoming school year etc. If all I want to get is a cleaning, you should have cleaned it, sorry it wasnt the most expensive service you could charge, seems my experience here was bias and unfair.
Very nice place. Employees (sorry Im terrible remembering names) were VERY helpful and genuinely seemed interested in getting me what I need instead of just reccomending whatever cost the most.I really felt like they wanted to help me any way they could and make certain that I was happy. They have looked after me and my family well. I am very proud of my instruments and equipment I purchase here.
