My hearing aids get exposed to a lot of dust/dirt, so they probably require an above average amount of maintenance and repairs.Michael and his associates at Hearing at Home have always been able to provide a prompt appointment, often the same day. They have always arrived right on schedule. Most of the time they have been able to fix issues on the spot. When repairs have been more extensive than can been done in the field, turnaround time has been quick.Their hearing aid prices are better than any other local providers I have found, and are only slightly higher than online providers who have very limited service included in the price.

My father only agreed to have his hearing tested when We found Hearing at Home. There was no obligation, and the test was done in the privacy of his home. Jimmy put a trial hearing aid with his prescription on him and my father could hear someone speaking from behind him! His hearing aids came within a week, were very reasonably priced, and were state of the art!! Home Mobile Hearing Center is set up to make house calls workable and cost-effective. My 94 year old father already had decent working hearing aids and a very good audiologist when Mr. Stewart came by the first time for a free visit. But when your hearing is really bad, you always hope for something better, and Dad was willing to try most anything. How could I discourage that quest? To be clear, he actually, he has a hearing aid in one ear and a transmitter in the other ear, which is essentially deaf. Mr. Stewart had the tenacity a hound chasing a rabbit, making return visits when necessary. He found a dual system from another company that worked better with Dads specific type of hearing loss.Stewarts availability did not end after the hearing aid was purchased. A few months later the hearing aid went dead. We thought it probably needed to be returned to the factory. Dad is in an assisted living facility, and he could scarcely carry on a conversation with staff and other residents without a hearing aid. Stewart fixed the problem with a quick turn-around. It turned out to be nothing but a broken wire. We couldnt possibly ask for more.

My girlfriend was concerned that I might have hearing loss, so we invited Jimmy Stewart of Hearing at Home to my house to test my hearing. Jimmy was great and it was very comfortable and convenient to do the testing at home and on my schedule.Jimmy determined that my hearing is very good - no need for hearing aids! I noticed that my mom made off topic comments during most conversations. Also she would nod her head while we were talking, but when I asked her to repeat what I said, she would admit that she didnt hear me. I contacted Hearing at Home after two hearing evaluations (one at the leading audio center in Charlottesville and one at UVA). Jimmy came to my house to preform his audio tests and his evaluation was identical to my two previous tests. Since the audio evaluation was performed in my home, my wife did not have to change her schedule to sit in and discuss my hearing deficiencies with the specialist. Jimmy recommended the devices he felt would best service my need and after one week came back to my house for fitting and programing. Two additional visits were conducted (one at my home and one at my office). This was beneficial since the programing was done in the environment I live and work in, not in a sound proof booth. The convenience of having a hearing professional come to my location, on my schedule and program to my environments was something I feel is a tremendous benefit.
