Delicious food and large selection of sandwiches, soups and salads. Very large location (deceiving from the outside). Large windows provided lots of light and high ceiling gave the feeling of extra space. Large variety of food and drinks as well as frozen take out options. Pick up and delivery services available (while we were there we saw a lot of contact less deliveries). Back left corner had paintings all over the wall for sale (all from local artists). Information provided when requested. Gift basket options also available on site!

I ordered my lunch on door dash but when it arrived I was missing two bags of chips and a chocolate chunk cookie. I called and spoke to Tiffany who apologized and agreed to deliver my missing items herself. Kudos to her!! She arrived in time for me to not even notice part of my lunch was missing. She attached this awesome note and gave me an extra cookie for my trouble. I have never had an issue with them before but the service I received today sealed my lifetime loyalty to them!!!!

First visit here, WOW! I had The Hilltop, a turkey and cheese sandwich. The freshness of this sandwich blew me away. Im already looking forward to my next visit!

I want to start by saying my rating is specifically for this location. I usually go to the Pacific Ave location because its closer to my office, but this location is by my house.The food is always good, but the service is subparI order online a lot because Im usually in a hurry, but Im never greeted when I enter, when Im browsing no one ever asks if they can help me with anything, and on the rare chance I order in the store Im always served with a cold demeanor. Im not accustomed to this at Taste based on my experience at other locations, so its a little disheartening especially when I see other people getting great service. I dont think Ill be returning to this location again, Ill just have to drive out of my way to Town Center.

Classic taste. This location doesnt have your typical hours so check before hand. Its tucked away off the beaten path but its the same as all your other taste locations. This spot isnt as busy as the others. Friendly staff. Great sandwiches

Had a great experience. Enjoyed a rare occasion where I could actually each lunch with my fiancé and the food was fresh and service great. I did not realize there were so many good options in the refrigerated section as well. Very clean, friendly staff.

I was introduced to Taste by our roomtes and it was a total game changer! My husband I made sure every Saturday we would order curbside to go and have a relaxing lunch at home. Thier entire menu is amazing quailty with the freshest produce and ingredients. I highly recommend coming for lunch! They also have really good snacks and side dishes that are perfect for road and beach trips!

WAY OVERPRICED if you ask me. I spent $14 on a sandwich some chips and a drink. This was the chicken on one side of the sandwich, hardly anything there. The other side had some more but for two pieces of regular sandwich bread and some basic things in between not worth nearly the money paid.

The gelato is amazing! So is everything everything else. The Freemason chicken salad sandwich is heavenly. The bread is hearty and fresh. I cannot wait to get back up to Chesapeake and revisit this little gem. The pimento cheese spread is a must try!

Food is good. But you cant comfortably eat at the restaurant. It is so incredibly cold!!!! My husband and I had lunch there today and we had to wrap our food and take it in the car. Its freezing cold!

This is one of my favorite places to go get lunch. My favorite is the inlet sandwich. The food is fresh and local, tasty and the restaurant is always clean. They have my business!

Since I last worked out in the Greenbrier area Taste Unlimited has moved from their old space that was behind Cracker Barrel over into a new larger space in the Greenbrier Townplace shops.We walked in and the first thing you notice is that the new location is easily 3-4 times the size of the old one and contains a larger deli, dining area & store. Its actually a bit over the top. I ordered a Northender and I believe my co-worker William ordered a Beach Club. We were given little flashing light discs and told they would let us know when our sandwiches were ready. After a short wait the device went off and we grabbed our food.I have to say for the almost $10 I dropped for this artsy sandwich there wasnt much to it. My co-worker agreed. The meal was kinda flavorless actually... mundane to say the least. I finished my entree however my co-worker only ate about half of his and tossed the rest in the trash. We decided to grab some Gelato. Mine was a sorta peanut butter creme with chunks of chocolate in it while my co-worker went for plain chocolate. Again, off the mark, even more so than the tasteless sandwich. This Gelato, if you want to call it that, was like eating raw sugar. I cant put my finger on it but there was something not right about it. Neither of us finished our Gelatos. I was really disappointed with this visit.Something has happened, Taste Unlimited has changed. Their locations used to be cool little sandwich shops that was a bit over priced but always had great food with decent portions. Now the theme they seem to be going for is a upscale corporate hipster executive soccer mom kinda place with bags of designer cookies and coffees. It reminds me of that scene from the Steve Martin movie LA Story when theyre all ordering coffee bit.ly/1mZ3Q4C.Theres certainly plenty more bang for your buck around Greenbrier and for now Ill stick to downtown Norfolk for my Gelato.

Love the food at this place. Great salads and sandwiches! Not as many prepared foods to go as pre- pandemic but lots of drink and packaged snack options. Eat inside, outside, or to go. Highly recommend!

My visit wasnt good. Had to replace my order twice and it was still wasnt right. Not to mention, they were out of stock on multiple items. Got a refund and thankfully, the manager was nice about it but overall, wasnt worth a star.

I worked at the commissary kitchen for over 6 years, and every time I come visit, I still have to buy some pimento cheese! Never gets old!

Love the atmosphere and space. Great retail offerings for home use and gifts. Food is always good. Their signature Brunswick Stew is delicious and a safe go-to. And even though you expect to pay a bit more for all of these things, their prices are unreasonably high. If EVERYTHING was organic, their prices could be more easily justified.

Our company has used Taste several times recently for luncheon meetings. The food and service was phenomenal! The presentation was fabulous, even for a bunch of sandwiches! Fruit was fresh, drinks were cold and everyone ran to the cookies!! Thank you for an outstanding job!!! We will be back!!

First time there nice place to go for a sandwich once in awhile

Very nice store, very friendly service. The sandwich I ordered had very good bread and the ingredients described on the menu were very appealing. But not so much included in the sandwich which was mostly bread. For $7 I would expect more than just mostly bread. Almost regretting not going to Subway where I could have had more veggies added to the bread!!!

The food is alright, but if it had been on my dime, I would have felt that I didnt get my moneys worth. I definitely couldnt imagine getting it on my own dime.

Nice staff but not the most situationally aware. While checking out they asked if we were awards members. We said “not yet.” And they said okay and finished the transaction. I then asked if we could sign up (they never asked us if we wanted to join,) they handed us a card and told us to register online. But it’s too late for this (large) transaction to count at this point and since we were never given the receipt, there’s no way to retroactively add it. Use some sense and sign people up before finishing the transaction.We weren’t asked if we wanted a side or drink. Clearly we must not understand the ordering system here. That or this cashier was too apprehensive to offer those things to us.Anyway, the food quality was good. We each ordered a sandwich: Beach club and Chesapeake.

My first time there...I ordered a salad amongst my friends ordering sandwiches. Not only was my salad VERY GOOD but everyones sandwich looked incredible!!! Prices are a little higher than fast food in my opinion but I would certainly go back for a sandwich. They looked too good to pass up!!!

I personally made my salad.I got blue cheese, walnuts, blue cheese crumbles, grilled chicken breast, carrots, light onions, on a spinach and mixed lettuce with a side of balsamic.I was shocked with how generous they were with all the side options. All the ingredients were extremely fresh and delicious.It was one of he best salads I ever had.I couldn’t even finish the whole thing!Will definitely come back!

It was late at night and the place we were going to go for a late dinner turned us away since they were closing in 20 mins. I stumbled across this place since it was near by and Im so glad I did!From the service to the decor to the FOOD it was all amazing! We first were given a refreshing cucumber salad. I wasnt too hungry so I just ordered a shrimp tempura roll and eel sashimi.

Everything about this place I liked. The staff was friendly and the service quick. It has a nice atmosphere and the food is great. The one down side is it being in a shopping center. The place blends in with all the other storefronts so it doesnt really standout. I try to stop in there for a bite everytime Im in the area.

I had the brussels and beets salad and my husband tried peters pick which was a roast beef sandwich today. First time here. Really enjoyed. Lots of different and interesting flavor combos of food stuff offered on the store side. Will definitely be back!

Im almost 100% sure that this is the largest Taste store, currently. The layout, decor and the aesthetic look /brand that Taste portrays at their sister stores is present here. An updated yet subtle skin of freshness that this store embodies and points towards the ambitions Taste has of the future. Its almost as if the architects were tasked to design a concept car of future...this store to me is the concept Taste is aiming itself to become

If you are looking for an upscale deli, with creative and excellent sandwiches, soups, and sodas, Taste is exactly the place youre looking for. It is a little more expensive than most other Delicatessens, but it is 100% worth it.I always get their managers pick and I am always satisfied! The kids lunchbox meal is like a little Lunchable, but with gourmet ingredients. The gelato and desserts are fantastic, and sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Lots of interesting things on the menu, but portions are abysmally small for the price. Ordered the beyond meatball sandwich for $13 and it was half the size of my companions turkey sandwich that was only $10. Felt ripped off and hungry after that lunch.

Always fresh sandwiches, wraps, and salads. I cant ever go on my lunch without ordering ahead because its always so crowded (for good reason!). The Inlet is my favorite and the tomatoes they always use are the freshest! A must try if youre a local or just visiting the area.

Sad excuse for a high end deli

Awesome, local, responsibly sourced food. Always check Peters Pick, its a great deal. I cannot leave without getting their apricot tea, which is funny, because I dont really like apricots or fruit infused teas usually. But this tea, well, I refuse to even put ice in it so I can trade as much home with me as possible. This last trip, I got my favorite, the Lafayette, because how can you go wrong with brie, tomato, bacon, arugula, and basil mayo. The French bread they use for the sandwiches is perfect, and the whole is enough for two meals. The man got a beach club, with a ton of meat and a great honey mustard dressing going on. We treat ourselves to this place entirely too much, but it its hard to stay away.

So we have ordered Taste for over a year. We are located in Great Bridge. Today when we put the order in. We get a call 15 minutes later saying that they will have to charge $20 for a delivery fee, not including a tip. What frustrates me with this, the fact that we were not told at first. When they called back and told us they said our policies had changed. In my opinion, being that I have owned my own business before, I would have this time not charged the delivery fee and informed that next time that is what it would be. Instead of paying $30 we had to send someone, inconveniently, to go and pick it up. This will most likely, be the last time I will ever order from this location.Also, the person that went and picked up our food said that he had to wait forever and then the girl that checked him out acted like she had no idea what she was doing. Definitely a shame that we have had such a bad experience. We spend quite a bit of money on taste but will no longer.

We waited over 30 minutes for a takeout order. Then, the wrap was tiny and missing salsa and onions, and the taco salad didnt have tortilla chips - all as described on the menu. An amazingly disappointing experience for a $10.99 wrap and $13.99 salad. If we hadnt already left before realizing the order was wrong we would have asked for a refund.

This is one of the best places in Hampton Roads for salads and sandwiches. The ingredients are always fresh and creative! I often pick up a salad and sandwich to share with my husband for dinner.My favorite sandwich is the LAFAYETTE - loaded with double crème French brie, hardwood smoked bacon, romaine, tomato, basil mayo on fresh French bread. I have a hard time trying others because this one is so delicious.They also have a wonderful selection of gourmet treats in their grocery area. Unique beverages, chocolate, Virginia peanuts, local chips, sauces and more.I only wish there were one closer to home.

Ive always had a love-hate relationship with Taste. I love to go into the store and browse all the food store items. You can always find something great to try and I routinely get goodies for gifts. The food is usually pretty good but I always feel like Ive overpaid for what I order. The cost is always my complaint at Taste. The experience, staff, food are always great but Im always in sticker shock when I step up to the register to pay.

I love tast by far the best sandwich place ! There homemade taste sauce is the best ! And I usually dont like sauces on my sandwiches.

First off the food at Taste Unlimited has always been great. I was in the store on Eden Way in Chesapeake today and the place was filthy. The drink station had liquid from spills everywhere and there were flies all over the area. I even had a dead fly stuck to the side of my glass that the cashier behind the counter gave me (of course I gave it back to him). There were several of the tables that were not even wiped down. I was in there from approximately 1:45-2:00 pm and it was Not busy. It makes me wonder if the public areas are this dirty what does the kitchen look like. This company has been an icon in this area for years and this is just plain laziness. Clean it up...thank you

Nothing was exceptional in this place. Because of that to me is over price. Go eat at Chick-fil-A and make worth your money if you dont know what quality is.

This is my first time eating at a Taste. We have one right by our hotel so we decided to try it. When we walked in Kiara welcomes us with a sincere smile and welcome. We did not know what we wanted so she walked us through the menu giving us suggestions. I got the Cobb salad and my friend got the branswick soup, both were absolutely amazing. We will be back for the great food and the amazing service from Kiara.

I love this place! Great food and atmosphere. I just wish it wasnt so hot to sit outside. Their location is great for sitting and enjoying the day without the rest of the strip malls noise and busyness. The staff are friendly and willing to wait while you make up your mind about all the varieties of sandwiches, salads, wine/beer, and everything else. A must go to! They deliver M-F with orders of $25 or more.

Food was delicious but the service was terrible. All but one employee was rude and short and seemed like I was bothering them.

Today I ordered Beach Club over ripe tomatoes (mushy) Romaine was not fresh. 9.99 should have gone to Chick-fil-a always fresh produce and not 9.99

Usually a go to place for lunch but seems to have gone down lately. Order was very difficult to place as staff did not understand their own menu (the BLT does come with tomato, a quartered pickle means cut in fourths). Confusing check out process. Once we got our order we needed two more trips to counter to get everything correct. Hoping this improves.

Had breakfast a good sandwich and excellent cinnamon roll, a little bit too high brow for my comfort. The people there were very nice.

Lots of free samples. Ordered my usual (Northender) and it was out and ready for lunch before I could get my credit card back into my wallet. Always fun to visit all the Tastes in the Hampton Roads area!

Typically I really like Taste. However tonight, after paying over $20 for two sandwiches I got all the way home.. opened mine and my order was completely wrong. I opted for the create your own sandwich and paid $1.50 EXTRA for it to be on a baguette...no baguette - I got french loaf instead. I have no idea why there is such a steep charge for baguette - but I pay it because I like those kinds of sandwiches. Stupid me. Also paid $1 EXTRA for 2 measly slices of Bacon - got home - No bacon. Needless to say, to drive all the way back after getting home - I wouldnt make it by their 7pm close time. For those kinds of prices the least they could do is make sure they get my order right. Will seriously rethink going back again.

I should start off by saying that everyone who worked there was fantastic and helpful. Customer service was great and nothing was made incorrectly, so my review has nothing really to do with that. Its more to do with just being unsatisfied with the vegan and vegetarian options. The vegan sandwich, which is the only vegan sandwich and only available in the winter, was oddly heavy pairing very large chunks of veggies with a relatively soft sandwich bread. It didnt create the greatest texture for me. The carrots being partially cooked and the onions pickled also made the texture a little bizarre as well. Would have been nice if they had gone either fully fresh, raw and crunchy, or a fully warmed, panini-like sandwich. The vegetarian options just went a little too hard with the cheese. The red pepper/gouda soup focused a little too heavy on the gouda and lost the pepper flavor almost entirely. I got the Inlet to sort of makeup for the Winter Veggie. I found it was much of the same. The dressing was nice, but the cheese was a little heavy and the texture needed work..maybe toast the bread, add avocado, or use sundried tomatoes like the Starbucks sandwich that I am much more a fan of. Anyways, I was really happy to see a vegan option on the menu, but I feel they didnt consult actual vegans or vegetarians on what to start adding to the menu. In the future, I would like to see more vegan options and fresher vegetarian options on Tastes menu. It would be nice to see them try different things because I frequented the restaurant quite a bit before transitioning to plant-based eating.
