Its one of my wifes favorite stores. There is nowhere to sit in here and nothing that fits me, Im a big guy. So I wait out in the mall and tinker with my smartphone. The four stars are on her behalf 🙂

Im not surprised that this location is closing. Employees are usually rude. The music selection is not always conducive to shopping especially if you are an older person.

I visited the salon today.. My stylist is Chanta~ she is great ! The staff is professional all the time. I always feel comfortable when Im there. Welcoming environment.

I often like to come and shop at this particular JCPenney. The selection is often sometimes a hit or miss though. I think for the most part A lot of the staff is nice and helpful and respectful. But the lady Jeanette is very rude and disrespectful when you ask her a question she cuts you off she needs to go to public service awareness classes and get some customer service class is also.

Not a lot of staff so the lines can get long but the sales are great and the store is well kept.v

They had super good deals for Cyper Monday. But the fact I only saw 2 associates in the entire store. They had one in jewelry helping a customer for 30 mins and 1 checking a line of customers out at the only working register in the whole store. I understand covid regulations but 1 register open in the entire store is insane. When your having such big sales.

Going out of business and the cashier Employee had the same attitude.I cant wait so I can buy the remaining shares at .$.15 cents each.I did see so Izod dress wear boots from $99.00 reduced to $12.50.Great prices but not my sizes.

Yall need more cashiers. Its ridiculous to wait in line for a half hour (no exaggerating) to check out. Still love the clothes-just dont have many sizes. A favorite.

Well. They are having a 20% to 50% close out sale. Doesnt look like much of a sale. When you look at the price tags.

Great deals I saved $380 in savings coupon and rewards, great prices, the lines are for ever,Employee they watch you as you shop, it makes it uncontrollable, makes you feel that you are a thief,. Is not a friendly place to shop.Also you buy and cant try it on . Dressing rooms are closed, they dont want to pay someone to clean them up.

Selection of merchandise and customer service were good.

Boys jeans were destroyed, no husky jeans on the shelves, no available associates to ask questions. They had ONE fitting room open for men or women with 2 rooms only and the lock broke on one.

I had a professional picture appointment there, and the lady there was so nice and made the experience less intimidating. Awesome time to have your pics taken with the groupon deals happenin 😁

Not many large chain stores still open these days, but thank goodness for JCPenney. We found this pant, jacket and designer collared shirt for a total of $89.00. JCPenney is a good store to shop but recommend using store coupons and or reading discounts that apply with percentage off to get Great Deals. This location at Chesapeake Square mall needs some tender loving care because it has a bad odor in the store. Unsure if odor is from a dirty mop or ventilation but the store smells bad. Employees are hard to find for assistance and difficult to distinguish between customers. It took us awhile to find someone for help. I do like shopping at JCPenny and I think many teens would as well because they do have excellent selections and prices BUT they do not market themselves well to the younger generation. Their sale racks are plentiful and discounts are 50 to 80%. ❤️ It.

Excellent Customer Service!!

Service could have been better. They only had one register open and the line was long. They could have open up the other register which was at another entrance which would have eliminated a lot of the people that was in the line. Plus they have a sign at the entrance that its mandatory to where masks but I saw a customer and 3 little kids with no masks on in line and the child was sneezing and running everywhere. Jcpenney has to do better.

Caroline at the register for mens sneakers was absolutely amazing she was kind generous funny and very helpful she should be recognized among their peers and employees should use her as an example of good customer service thank you

This store has a very nice selection of clothing and more, but I feel they can be ripe offs as well. How you have a sale but nothings on sale!??? Signs up and everything telling you how much your gonna save and the amount the item originally cost and the amount your gonna pay now. Snake in the grass store, becareful when dealing with them.

I ordered a Bridal set Back In November.They said it would be ready on the 18 of December.Haf to send them out to be sized. I am still waiting for a call from J C Penny to pic up my rings.Very disappointed. Because they didnt keep their word.

The dressing rooms were closed due to inventory so i couldnt try on anything. The only pleasant on was the lovely lady at the jewelry counter.

If possible would give 0 stars and if I could give any advice it would be to avoid this place at all cost, the people are always rude like they have better things to do, they ignore you when you need help and Caroline the Manager man she should be fired, literally had a question regarding an Item the associate called for Caroline and she came and told me I couldnt purchase my items, she said I had to switch them so I did and the whole time she and sent security on me and had me kicked out for no apparent reason. Be careful you have been warned.

I picked up my order today 8/9/20 and was given a receipt that the cashier told me to sign. After signing the receipt I noticed the receipt wasnt what I ordered. When I requested the cashier to refund my account I was told that the manager would refund my account on 8/11/20. I asked how could the manager refund me anything when I was given no merchandise from this receipt for $43.85. I want my account credited $43.85. I have none of these items on this receipt. Soooooo upset 😡

Ive been shopping in J C Pennys ever since I was a teenager. I found everything I needed in the store or online.

Pick up in store took 15 mins standing in line and then I had to wait for someone to bring my package to me.

I found what I was looking for and the check out clerk was really nice.

The service at this location was subpar tonight. I only went because I placed an online order at another store and this was the closest pickup location to me.

My JC Penney store continues to be amazeballs!!Jeanette was my cashier/salesperson/greeter today. We had fun looking at beauty appliances. She motivated me. She encouraged and I finally purchased something for myself. Excited!!

I love this store, the convenience of being able to pick up your online orders from the store, makes it worth 5 stars. Most of my clothes come from this store. I also found shoes that I like at the store, and jewelry also. I go to the store early in the morning so no long lines, and the lady there that I see every time is very nice and helpful. Love this store.

I went expecting to get a fair view of the styles of summer or maybe deals, I didnt leave without a purchase. I walked around the store to different sections, asking if employees could direct me to certain items and places, none of them disappointed me. I have intentions of returning one day. I will say their inventory is fairly low though, I went in attempts to buy a black hat, found one, but it wasnt in my style, so I asked a cashier and all youll hear is What you see on the display is inventory. I dont love it, I dont hate it.

Shopping for my daughter and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection. Not only is the stuff cute, its also in an array of sizes. My daughter got to fit into everything she really liked. I even went over and bought myself two pairs of pants because it was going well.

I had an awesome experience at the JC Penny hair salon. My stylist was funny, talented, and did my hair in a timely manner. She was simply exquisite. My hair looks fabulous!

If you are big and/or tall then there is only one department store for you .... JCPenney!I am 6 feet 4 inches tall. I get all my dress pants, shirts, and ties at JCPenney. They have a decent selection in easy to find locations at reasonable prices.

This store is in a mall that is basically dead. The customer service here is slow. They keep it hot inside.

Never will I shop at this place again...told me I had a buy one get one free deal...but then charged me for both items, half off on one. The sign said..Buy one get one free. She goes to explain..well we half the price on both.

Overall its like any other department store in quality. Do not go here to buy Jewelry or watches if you are a twenty something female in work clothes... I spent 30 min circling the glass for service and never once was checked on for service. Apparently I didnt look like I was gonna buy something. I went to Sears and got dedicated, instant service.

The merchandise is great. The service for checking out isnt. Only 2 cashiers in the whole place! Fitting room only serves 1.

I had to wait 10 minutes for a sales associate for the jewelry dept and when she came she acted like I had unconvinced her. I spent $783.06 and feel I should have been treated better.

Found some nice things for myself, my sister, and my mom.

It was aight, the lady helped me find out what size pants I can get in a certain brand.And I got to try on some Adidas joggers to find out what size I could buy them for cheaper on amazon.

There is no designated Curbside pick up area. Pull up to the main entrance and check-in. Im so disappointed! I spent 10 minutes walking around looking for the pickup area and an associate to help me. Who has time for this???

Store seems to be drying up compared to years ago. I miss the nostalgia of good ol hands on customer service. Im talking about the women who would measure your bust as a teenager, assist with the fitting of the outfits, etc.

JCP was great today. They were giving coupons for 30,40 and 50 percent off your total purchase. Made some great purchases got some really good stuff. Havent shopped there in a lon time. Really enjoyed this trip.

Why cant any cashier check you out when the lines are backed up?? The young man said no you have to go to the cashiers line. So why do he HAVE a Register then? The mall is dying out. Chesapeake Square anyway. See if he open his register to customers. Job security key word

The worst, its the holidays and Im standing in a line of about 10plus with one cashier at the register. Ive seen this at both stations with multiple people in line that only has one cashier. This is wrong on so many levels....no management around to even question or provide suggestion on how or why this seems to be the norm.

The associate had a very nice attitude towards me as she check a price for me.
