Purchased bowl of fresh fruit. Was unable to eat fruit was bad. Purchased bag of cotton candy grapes they were sour and soft. Brought to a party could not eat was 25.00 thrown in the garbage.

I was there this morning trying to get a loaf of bread sliced. The unmasked bakery worker stated they cant slice bread yet because of covid?!??!?? I saw several employees without masks. along with several customers. The sign at entrance states you must wear a mask. There shouldnt be a sign if this isnt going to be enforced. Aside from that, great store!

The best Stop and Shop I have been too! The remodel looks really nice. The meat and seafood section have really improved from a few years ago; use to not buy them often but shop those sections often now. The workers are nice and ar always aware and there to assist. Only downside are the shoppers who do not wear masks but that has nothing to do with the market.

I have been shopping at this Stop and Shop for nearly 18 years now, usually 3 or more times per week. I have always had a wonderful experience. Your employees (especially Terri!) have always made me feel so welcome. However, it was quite different this morning (between 9 and 10]. The middle-aged woman manning the self-service stations was so rude and abrasive and nasty. I felt so unwelcome that I am still upset. Im not quite sure why she is in customer service since she has absolutely no people skills. Maybe she was having an (extremely) bad day but she really shouldnt take out her frustrations on customers.

I still cant comprehend thier public health plan. Durring the hight of pandemic restrictions thier play was to shut down one entrance, ensuring that everyone had as much contact as possible while clamoring through one constricted choke point in and out of the store. Social signaling at its finest.

Store is well stocked, clean and organized. There is a Stop and Shop closer to my home but I will go out of my way to shop at this one.

I was in the store about a week ago and was in the soda/bottled water aisle with 2 other customers and 2 employees. The one employee was barking (and I mean RUDELY barking) orders at what appeared to be a new employee. It was very uncomfortable. I felt so bad for the new guy. Now I had been employed by this store about a year ago and had the same thing happen to me with a manager. I could NEVER do anything right with her. And I wasnt the only person who had problems with her. 4 employees quit because of her in the 6 months of my employment! And I became #5! However, the associates in the register, customer service desk, florists & bake shop ARE ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! I WOULD GIVE THEM 5 STARS!!! The poor DELI employees are OVERWORKED & UNDER PAID!!! 5 STARS TO THEM AS WELL. I cant rate the dairy, meats or seafood because I dont have much interaction with them.

Its sad that they wont hire me for ANY job. Especially when I come and fix their bottle machine cause their employee dont know how. And if the carts look like this. Joel must not be working. Cause hes the only one who never has the carts look like this. When the parking lot is empty.

I do like THIS stop and shop. Very friendly people work here. They are moving things around at this time so finding things is a small challenge. I do recommend the Robot be removed its typically in the way and does add value to the shopping experience.

Have been shopping at Stop&Shop for a long time now and have always been very happy. However, can someone please help me to understand why during a pandemic, when you want only one family member in your stores, are supposed to follow the arrows, get in and out as quickly as possible etc. that someone decided that during this time of national and world crisis, that your stores really needed to be remodeled and moved around so that people need to spend MORE time not less and walk all over the store back and forth possibly spreading more germs etc. I am not saying you should never remodel your stores but I feel it could have waited till at least the beginning of the new year. It just seems like bad timing and bad PR. I used to throw out the Big Y and Shop Rite circular when it came but not anymore. Its too bad because I loved your gas rewards program as well.

Picked up an online order, and I can’t see shopping any other way again. It was ready for pickup right on time, everything was perfect, and the guy even loaded it all into the trunk for me.

This supermarket has a surprisingly large and quality selection of products. It is always kept clean and orderly. The staff are polite and friendly. Highly recommend.

Very good. I found they have better stock than the Cheshire Big Y. Warning: they are moving all merchandise to other aisles so a bit disheveled but they are very helpful in helping find things.

I was there yesterday and sunday. I met Glady the security officer. Security greeted me and when I left. I love that they now have a security officer. It makes the place feel safe. She is very friendly and helpful. I think this was a good idea and I hope they keep security there even after Covid is over. Im looking forward to it because this is my local grocery store. We use to shop at this store regularly as Cheshire residents, but that all changed.My husband and I were discriminated against because we’re gay. A few weeks back we were shopping wearing our masks, and we went to the self checkout area to finish our shopping trip. Right before finishing up our transaction my husband was told to step aside to keep social distance. (Even though there are no signs telling anyone that.) it was a busy day and it was hard to maintain social Distance in the busy checkout area.We explained that we’re almost done but then, another shopper decided to yell at us saying “listen to her”(the associate) and telling us that we’re not ok. No apologizes were made on the associate’s part and we walked away after paying for our items.We are not coming back and will not be using Stop and Shop for our groceries.

It was a very pleasant experience this morning at Cheshire Stop & Shop. That rooms were extremely clean and fresh smelling. Which is always a nice thing. You calm during the day afternoon it sometimes smell something horrible but I dont know if what the reason behind that is but its always a pleasant experience going to the Stop & Shop. I had spilt one iced coffee in a jar that came in a four pack and there was someone who came by and pick it up right away theyre very good about that in Cheshire always like keeping their store neat and clean and up to snuff. I believe this is one of the cleanest stores in my surrounding area which is why I always come here.

Very nice store. Caters to upscale neighbors. Different culture compared to other stop&shops I am accustomed to frequent. Grandson didnt like bagged chicken I bought. Likes Big Ys better and the one on Reidville Dr., Waterbury.

The new upgrades and reorganizing of products looks great!! New lighting is also a plus!!

I shopped tonite around 5:30 pm Mothers Day at the Cheshire store and the sign as you enter mandatory face mask and no one is enforcing it. Absent management. If you look at your cameras, the lady was talking to someone in the bakery Dept. We are all trying to be cautious why is there absent management at Stop and Shop? Just for your information, Aldi Wallingford CT store is much better, cleaning all carts and managing how many people are going in their store and coming out. Stop and Shop are considering their employees first responders? What a joke!

This store has nearly everything I need. Its easy to recycle bottles and cans. If I need to do a quick run and just grab a few items, or if I need to buy a two whole shopping carts worth of supplies, I come here. The lines are quick and the staff are helpful and friendly.

Clean store with friendly staff. I use the salad bar often for lunch and it is stocked with good quality vegetables. I do wish they had items on sale more often that didnt require buying in multiples.

I actually like this Stop & Shop better than the average. There is one cashier there she talks to everybody shes super sweet she does her best to remember things about you when you go to her line. She makes me laugh sometimes even with your sarcasm you could see it all in her face although shes very professional shes a lot of fun. The cashiers name is Terry.I often come in around lunch time to this particular Stop & Shop because theyll make your sandwiches fresh for you while youre standing there if you want especially with me because I like particular kind of cheese on my sandwich. Even the guy at the courtesy desk is super friendly every time you walk by who got a super big smile on his face you dont see that very regularly and grocery stores. I have to admit I dont like not in the least bit feels like its watching you every time you step down the aisle. They should really do something about that

I recently bought flowers for our Daughters wedding at the Stop and Shop in Cheshire. I was very impressed with Onella. She was wonderful to us from the beginning when we began to talking to her through the day I picked up the flowers. All the flowers were beautiful. We could not have been more satisfied with her service and the quality of there flowers.Thank you for having such a wonderful flower department.

Im mad that the other stop & shop near my house is closing down and we have to go across town to go to a the one across town

Originally gave this store three stars now dropping to one star. My reason being is that I purchased their manger special which was pork ribs . brought them homejuly 15 and the sale by date was July 18. It is now July 16th and the meat has a spoiled smell without even being out of its package. I proceeded to wash the meat of because maybe it was the blood but as I took it out the package the under side of the meat which you cant see in the package was all green. Will never shop at this shop and shop again.

The new layout is still CV confusing and messy. The ice cream freezer seems to have a problem with frost on many products.

Everytime I go in the employees are amazing!!! Its nice to get help with a smile and they walk you to the product. Absolutely fantastic!

With the weather turning freezing and Thanksgiving tomorrow, I expected a lot of stressed out cashiers and deli workers. But to my surprise, the employees were extremely helpful and courteous. Great job!

The prices at this location are usually a little higher the other stop and shops. The facility is clean. The bottle room is clean and all machines typically work. The checkout process doesnt take too long. One of the better stop and shop locations so far...

They offer excellent options for vegan products. I havent found any grocery store or even any other Stop & Shop with so many different types of foods available for vegans other than Wholefoods. They are less expensive and closer than wholefoods (45 minutes from my home) Unfortunately this particular Stop & Shop isnt the closest to my house itsstill only about 20 minutes. My only (slight) problem is that I cant seem to get customer service to mail me a circular from the Cheshire store weekly since i live closer to at least 3 different Stop & Shop stores. Maybe someone will see this review and start sending me circulars or explain to customer service that not all stores sell the same items. In any case, thank you Cheshire Stop Shop!

I asked them to bring back Campbell soup that they replaced with their product, explained that they dont taste as good and cant be microwaved for work. I now shop at Amazon and suggest that when they do t listen you do the same. I love our options these days..lol!Also had a cart full of groceries $450 worth. The line next to me was express line which nobody was in, apparently instead of helping with my large person they thought the grand total of $100 (estimated on the few people who were processed while I waited) were more important than me. they are also expensive compared to other stores

Some employees are very friendly however there are a few that are VERY rude. Chris the guy that does carts is one of the friendliest and even knows my bf and I by name since we go so much and the lady who works later evenings in the self checkout I forget her name but she goes to school we have short convos she also the other friendliest! However theres one younger girl that usually works in self check out with curly hair and she will literally follow u around the store and be nosey and i dont go anymore if shes working along with one that works in customer service however I dont know her name and she looks similar to the nice girl that works there too! If u work in customer service u should ALWAYS treat customers friendly even if theyre having a bad day sometimes we do too no need to ALWAYS be rude to us though!

I shop at this store often, its usually not overcrowded, prices are kind of high so I tend to shop their sales mainly, you can get some very good deals

Expect loooong lines unless you want to do the work of a cashier. Getting worse and worse. I am in line in Cheshire and there is only ONE cashier. No 12 items or less person either. Very disappointing. Reminds me of Expect Discounts only prices are high.

Most of the prices are reasonable good on specials never anyone to ask to help to find something always not enough registers in any Stop & Shop you go in other than that OK.
