The outstanding salesmen at the Jax hunting counter helped immensely. Not only did they mount my scope, they smiled while doing it. Behind their masks of course! While I do not want to flaunt my white manliness, they constantly called me sir. I felt like they respected me and wanted my business. I was a bit disconcerted when they asked for one of my nuts though. Patiently I explained to them that the nuts in my hand were mine and if they wanted some they would have to pay for their own.Great Store!

I generally love coming to Jax. The employees are always great and happy to help. However Ive gone in a few times over the last 2-3 months for items that they are consistently out of stock on. Like halters, grain, blanket sizes, fly spray, cat food. I have to keep ordering online or going to other stores. Jax really needs to get on top of ordering product or will continue to loose buisness.

As I walked through the north doors I was assaulted by Jaxs love for law enforcement. In uniform at the time I was given a free coffee at the coffee bar. Everyone was very friendly and no one was protesting. I was thanked for my service and had a wonderful time.

Went into get ammo and a hunting license. The two guys at the gun counter wanted to talk instead of helping with my sale. Ended up taking my drivers license out of the guys hand because he was going to try and keep his conversation up with his co worker instead of focusing on my hunting license. Blue lives matter another reason not to support this business.

Little bit of everything for everyone. Not just the same ol retailer you have come used to in town. There are a lot of specialty products and branded premium brands. Plus the best kept secret in town for ice cream, specialty candy and drinks, surplus gear and fishing. Friendly local service, and prices competitive.

Jax, including this store, is known for its wide variety of products. It is not known for especially good deals, though. Almost all products they sell are at the top end of suggested retail, but this does mean that if other stores are out of a product, there might be some leftover at Jax. Their website does not seem to include all the items that I found on the showroom floor, either. I was looking at Camelbak/Osprey packs the other day, noted some of the models for research later, then checked online to see a comparison. It did not appear to me that they included all the packs online that were in the store. Either that, or the categories the packs were under did not jive with how I figured they would be organized. The store itself is always very clean, and the staff is helpful and attentive.

I used curbside pickup and it was fast and easy. Covid precautions were being used by staff, both face masks and social distancing and is kept so clean. I will switch from the other feed store to JAX from now on. Thank you for caring about our health and safety while we shop in your store.

I will give the 5 star rating because when purchasing my new handgun everyone was super helpful, Mac and the team did great behind the gun counter. They were professional, cared about their work and image and put their customers at top priority, which is super important to me, in ANY setting. (Sorry to say the mall is lacking in that area SUPERIORLY) but these folks were great. I am very picky on where I will buy guns and they exceeded my expectations. Hopefully we can see some AR style products sometime in the future, but that wont deter me from giving my business to the store, great job!

This company does not work for the customer and I do not appreciate the way I and many others are also treated here with return policy and customer service in general. I will no longer shop at Jax Outdoor Gear because of their constant selfish company standards. Make the customers happy and want to come back. Don’t make them feel like criminals for your poor return policies. Thank you Jax Outdoor Gear for doing nothing at all to help your customers. Owned since 1955 by people that you wouldn’t dream on inviting to your houses for dinner. Next time, I’ll go somewhere else that I will feel valued.

The store is very clean and staff very helpful. Glad we discovered the store. My only frustration is that we bought 4 female buff bramas and 3 female ducklings. Yes all were suppose to be female according to the staff. Well one chick died. Two of the chicks are roosters. With the ducks we actually got 2 males and one female. Very disappointed with that. The staff basically lied to us about having all females. If the staff does not know they should flat out say they dont know.

JAX DOES NOT SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS! The owner made the conscious decision to REMOVE all Thin Blue Line products from ALL stores in late June 2020. What a slap in the face of all law enforcement officers and their families who are at risk of making the ultimate sacrifice everyday they wake up. This is a reprehensible decision and will hopefully have an unmistakable impact on your business success. Your weak gesture of a small discount for LEOs hardly makes up for your very clear and very overt gesture of a big Colorado middle finger for law enforcement.Luckily, I have the opportunity to speak with many new people every day (many of them being outdoorsmen, hunters and ranchers and public safety first responders). I will be making it a point to inform most everyone I meet of JAXs most recent decision to not support law enforcement. And they, in turn, will likely tell everyone they know here in Cheyenne.JAXs agenda is obvious. I wont ever be shopping here again. Unfortunately I recently dropped several hundred dollars at the beginning of June...last time that will be happening....EVER! Wont be long now before youre out of business here in Cheyenne. Finally, after reading through other google reviews of JAX in Cheyenne I found the following review from someone else regarding JAXs refusal to operate in accordance Wyoming state law. They are more restrictive than state law. First this review about not selling AR style rifles or magazines that hold more than 16 rounds which was posted 7 months ago and now pulling Thin Blue Line products. Wow! Please go peddle your wares somewhere else. See prior review below and JAXs response.John Kelly7 months agoJAX in Cheyenne doesnt sell AR style sporting rifles or any magazines that hold more than 16 rounds, because its a Colorado based company. Sounds to me like theyre attempting to impose liberal Colorado ideas on the residents of Cheyenne. Ill be shopping at Sportsmans Wearhouse for firearms and camping goods and Murdochs for ranch supplies. I dont see this company lasting more than 2 years in Cheyenne. Crazy overpriced too!Response from the owner7 months agoHi John, thank you for your feedback. As a family-owned business we make decisions that we believe are right for our company and family. We understand they may not be the same decision someone else might make. We absolutely respect your personal values and decisions as well and wish you the best experience wherever you choose to do business.

At first I was a fan of Jax. I was excited about the selection and alternative to Sportsmans Warehouse on the east side of town. I found out just last week that Jax, on orders from corporate out if Colorado, pulled all in stock Thin Blue Line Law Enforcement related items from the shelves, due to political pressure... I dont agree with anyone who judges law enforcement as a whole by the actions of a very tiny minority of bad officers, when the overwhelming majority does their job right day after day, putting their lives on the line to keep their community safe. Stop making political statements, and realize who your customer base is, Jax! Im not making one more purchase until I see the Thin Blue Line on the shelves again... I hope you wont either!*EDIT- Response to Jaxs reply. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Glad to see you support Law Enforcement, but what messages are you sending by pulling merchandise that bears symbology supporting law enforcement? That very action speaks louder than any words your posting here on my review. Do you have any specific reason for pulling those items aside from anti police sentiment thats now seemingly popular across the country? If so Id love to here it... Maybe I would change my mind on this review.
