I needed some tires, but no one could help me that day. Drop off the next day or want until January I waa told. I needed my car and I could not want for next year. So I went to Sears. I have done business with Sears in the pass a was satisfied with their services. Today with my new tires, Im satisfy. Thanks again Sears for stepping to the plate and delivering.

I want to commend ENRIQUE for turning around my negative previous experiences(2 both with ridiculous wait times with Appointments) with a 4pm appt. and he not only did my tire rotation, oil change and all the other checks got the multi point inspection...By him being so time efficient, thorough and professional!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I will come back as a return customer thanks to you

I wrote the below email to Sears Customer Service and never got a response. I purchased a garage door opener and the installation service from Sears and their contractor did some shady work and wouldnt come back out to service and/or repair the garage door opener. I wont be purchasing anymore garage door openers from Sears and DO NOT recommend their garage door openers and especially their installation services to anyone living in the Chicago metropolitan area!I am writing regarding a garage door opener that I purchased from Sears in Chicago Ridge, IL on August 27, 2020, along with the installation service. The garage door opener was installed on September 9, 2020 by Tom from Anthonys Installation Service. I started having problems with the garage door opener malfunctioning because it wouldnt open the garage door which started occurring in late November and called Sears to have it fixed. I called Anthonys Installation Service and left several voicemail messages and text messages over a span of three weeks and he hasnt responded. Meanwhile, my garage is still in need of repair and Im unable to reach a manager at Sears or reach anyone at Anthonys Installation Service to have this issue resolved.I am very dissatisfied with the work that Tom did in installing the garage door opener and even more outraged at how Im unable to get my garage door repaired after repeated calls to Sears and Anthonys Installation Service with no response. At this point I would like to have my money refunded for the installation service so I can have someone else come out and do the work correctly because Tom at Anthonys Installation Service is doing inadequate work that is causing customers a lot of trouble and inconvenience.
Sears closing sale is anything but a sale found a 230pc craftsman tool set online for $109 so I thought since Chicago ridge store had a 30% off sale I can get it cheaper it was $168 I showed the employee they said they cant do anything for me. Sears used to be my favorite place to shop.
I would give them a -5 stars if I could! Worst service around! My parents bought a range and microwave from the Chicago ridge location, delivery date came and went with no delivery. Went in to speak to a manager who claimed she would call my mother the next day... but no call. A month later my parents bought appliances from Lowe’s, they were delivered and my mother has used them...yet our return has yet to be processed. I called the Chicago Ridge Store 5x never got a call back. I haven’t been able to contact Sears Customer Service....does anyone who is employed there even work? Worst service ever!!! #gotoLowes
Go to Sears now. They are all closing. Its funny that Sears got its start as a catalog delivery service and it is being put out of business by a online catalog delivery service. Also it is interesting to note that Jeff Bezo has also plans to build his own continent like Gene Hackman did in Superman. That was a really good movie. I wish Gene Hackman would unretire and make more movies he is a joy to watch.

Lots of sales going on mostly winter clothes not too many people, masks being worn. Went to look for kids clothes not much of a selection if u want clothes for fall you might find some good deals but very little selection. The other clothing depts seem to be better stocked with lots of sales posted as well.

My refrigerator was delivered on the 23rd of November with the wrong handles.The delivery man said that he would order them and come back to install them.He did neither.I have been trying to get handles or a replacement since November.Really bad customer service, Ive been hung up on and lied to.It takes 10 days to get a part. I was waiting on the part on the 9th of November, I was told that it was ordered but it was not.Im frustrated and may never shop at Sears again.

The bathrooms were horrible there was no soap and there was diarrhea in one stall and was on the floor on the two next to it. It was absolutely horrible and when I tried to complain she continued to interrupt me and my mother saying one person at the counter even ththough we said we understand but there was a problem
Ordered a new deep feeezer for my 90 year old grandparents. Paid for hookup and to haul away the old one. The 2 delivery guys refused to take their old one out. Since I purchased it through my account, my grandparents didnt have any paperwork showing that I paid for the haul away fee. They just refused to take it out and I dont know why. Completely ridiculous. After calling and talking to several different people I finally was able to get someone to come out and get the old freezer, but thats 2 weeks from now. Unreal. Will never order ANYTHING from Sears again.

Went to exchange bad tool, manager stated tool had rust on it and refused to exchange. I informed him tools was defective working whenever. Was told it was rusted thats why it didnt work. Showed him it was not rusted and it work but only when it wanted to. Finally exchanged tool but just walked away without any customer service skills after being corrected in a nice manner. Sad, that craftsman has lifetime replacement on tools then deal with nonsense in store.
They are soooooo expensive, never have enough employees, ALWAYS long lines, and never have products in. I ABSOLUTELY hate this store!!
I ordered online for store pickup to save time. I placed the order early morning before they opened and took care of a bunch of errands in the meantime to be ensure I could getting everything I needed done on a busy day. After over 4 hours of them being open I still hadnt heard a response for my order and decided go in anyway. I had no problem finding multiple quantities of the item I ordered sitting on the shelf. After trying the item on it fit differently than the last pair I had worn and figured it would be an easy exchange. I bring the item to a cashier explaining I had ordered an item online but never got confirmation but wanted a different size at this point. It took another 10 minutes standing there after the manager had already come come over to direct me to the online order pickup area to cancel my order. After meeting the manager on the other side of the building he finally gets me a return slip which I then have to return to the same cashier and wait in line to make the exchange. The whole process defeated the purpose of using their online service and was horribly inefficient in every aspect. Its no surprise the company is going out of business. If they cant adapt with the times or provide basic service, it doesnt matter what history the company had. Anything positive theyve offered is a thing of the past.

Glad to see a Sears open. This store has many of the things you expect from a Sears, Craftsman tools, washers dryers, ovens.But it also has nice clothes, dresses, shoes,Bedding... Not many workers on the floors, if you need help finding things, youre on your own.

I made an order on line and its been over a month now there hasnt been a confirmation of arrival or why its late. Called this store because thats where im supposed to pick it up at the Chicago Ridge Mall location. I xalled the small appliances dept and the answered the first time, told them what I needed and this girl who answered said to hold on and then hang up the phone in my face. I called back four more times and no one answered i was sent straight to voice mail. The customer service is the worst. You can at least say your busy or will transfer me to someone. I dont think they are that busy to answer and hang up. The worst customer service I have dealt with. And this will be the last time I order from them as WELL.

I walked through the mens area as well as a few other departments and could not find anyone that worked there, for assistance.Usually youll find a few associates folding clothes or someone at the counters. Not even a sales rep in the appliance department.Sears lost out on $$!The only positive was the really nice stainless steel dishwashers they had in stock. Im heading to some other big box stores now.Sears, you snooze you lose!

Well, I have been a loyal customer of Sears since 1975. I purchased tires from the Merrillville Sears Auto store, along with flat repair and road hazard agreement for an additional cost. Recently a tire kept going down, so I called for an appointment to take it in. Merrillville gave me an appointment, I showed up to a completely empty auto center. I called and got an appointment today at Chicago Ridge Mall Auto Center for 12:00 pm. I arrived and was checked in at 11:50, explained the problem with the tire and also requested a tire rotation if possible. I was told it was put on the service call. At 1:30 I observed other customers coming and going, while my vehicle had not been brought into the shop to have the tire serviced. After that I was told I was not put on the list, but I would be next. How could I not be on the list with an appointment and checked in???? To top it all off, the person who serviced my tire seemed to have an attitude when I asked if the tire will be safe if repaired since winter is coming and temperature affects the tires. He told me to talk to the initial service representative about my question and concern. After I was assured the tire would be repaired sufficiently, and the piece of metal removed, it would be safe. By the time the tire was repaired and replaced, it was almost 3 oclock. Oh, by the way, I was told, We didnt do the tire rotation. Really? Well I knew that, since only one tire was touched and removed, which was the one I was having problems with. I am very disappointed with the quality of service, or should I say, lack thereof I received today. When you purchase tires, you are supposed to keep them inflated correctly and rotate them on schedule as well to keep the warranty in effect. It is hard to do the right thing when you take your car to the place where you purchase the tires, and they wont provide the service you ask them to provide. Things were a lot different in 1975. No wonder stores are closing left and right!

So, I went shopping at this Sears in Chicago ridge mall. One of the items was scanned twice. The item cost exactly $16.98. I will come back and change this review of something is done about it, otherwise, it will stay.
While at the store the gentleman who waited on me was great. But the phone system leaves a lot to be desired. I called and was on hold for almost a half hour. I got on my other phone and was done in less than 10 minutes. I just kept the 1st one on speaker to see how long it takes before anyone picked up. After a half hour I hung up. Great for business!!!!!!!!
If I could give this zero stars I would. Two weeks ago I bought my son two pairs of jeans a this location. After a day he realized that they were too short. On his next visit to me we attempted to return them for an exchange. we had the receipt and the tags. We were told that because he removed the tags that we could not exchange them. I had to purchase another two pairs. I know the struggles of Sears but as of now I look forward to its demise. I will never shop there again
The plus size womans section is horrible! If your under 60 years old and plus size there is nothing there for you thats up to date and fashionable. And the one shirt that I did find was way over priced. I can see why they are going out of business

I ordered tires online and scheduled appointment. Get to Sears and they had to get them from warehouse, next day. Called me and informed my tires are there, immediately went for install and waited hours for work to be done.

I went in to look at some tools and ended up buying a tool box. The salespeople were so helpful. They showed me how to get free shipping rather than me have to transport such a large purchase.
Came in 2xs to look at options and on my 3rd return to finally purchase no one could help me. I asked for assistance and no one came after 15 min. As a salesperson myself, they lost an easy sale and commission.

Sears was and is a great general merchandize store; I remain curious as to what items are on the second level Most traditional sears departments are now located on the 1st floor but in small display models .Auto shop seemed busy and a location for rental cars ; good idea for repair work that might require a longer time.
