I called this company on July 9 to fix the temperature on my fridge. They came to change computer board and thermometer with a guaranteed three week warranty. Within three weeks (was not home due to travel), I realized that the ice maker was not fixed during the repair, meaning the handyman did not finish the job completely. I called the company again and they refused to come back unless I paid them again even though I had the warranty. They specifically said, If you dont pay us, then that means we have to pay the tech guy ourselves. It was extremely frustrating to go through this and I will not be paying for their service anymore.
Laura and Carl were fantastic help, they also had the part for my washer in stock, I had a hard time getting this part the same day I needed it,this store carried all my parts in stock. I was very satisfied with their service.

So, I did *not* get a repair part from these guys. The reason I didnt is because he did not have the part. He checked his distributors. None of them had the part. He CALLED GE DIRECTLY to ask about the availability and called me back. He recommended a different brand of dishwasher due to his experience with parts availability and quality. 5 stars, will definitely be buying any future parts from here.

I purchased a new Frigidaire refrigerator in July 2013. The delivery person may have installed it improperly, but Frigidaire instructed me to go through the warranty service center. There are only two in Chicago, this one, Home Appliance, and A Appliance Source. I called Home Appliance.My first call: Gentleman asks me to describe problem, based on my description he stated it sounded like a gasket problem. He told me he could have a technician out the next week and that he would order a gasket so the technician would have it, which would eliminate another trip.Technician arrives with no gasket. States no one told him about bringing a gasket. He looks over the refrigerator and states he believes the problem is the hinge, not the gasket. States he will have one ordered and that someone would call me when it arrives to arrange an appointment to install it.I went out of town for three weeks. When I arrived home there was no message from Home Appliance. So, I called them to find out if hinge had come in yet.My second call: Gentleman looks up my claim. States there are no notes about ordering a hinge. Tells me that the Technical department at Frigidaire has recommended that a heat gun be applied to the gasket to solve the problem. Gentleman states that he recommends against this solution and that I should just deal with the door as is. I expressed my displeasure with the lack of communication and the different stories Im getting, as well as the fact that I am not being offered a reasonable solution. The gentleman gets upset with me for being upset and tells me hed rather not have my business.When I called Frigidaire to complain about the service, I discovered that Home Appliance has the lowest rating in customer satisfaction of all their approved service centers. Frigidaire gave me another service center to use. Heres hoping Home Appliance will be taken off the list soon and others wont have to deal with them.Update: When I went to post my review on Angies List, I received this interesting, yet not surprising message:NOTICE: Unwilling Participant Date Added: 8/26/2009This provider has asked to be removed from Angie’s List.
