Store manager very unprofessional I paid almost a thousand dollars for the refrigerator and they didn’t even give me the part on my refrigerator to replace the air filter they fake reset the airfilter part to say it was good I had to replace it within 3 months it supposed to be replaced in 6 months I came up there and the store manager told me to get out because I told him I will get a lawyer if they didn’t fix the problem he asked me was I ready and to get a lawyer don’t shop there you will be highly disappointed I wouldn’t recommend anyone getting anything from there

Worst service ever!!! I drove past today 10/30/21 noticed they had security screen doors. I need 4 for my building so I stopped in to get pricing. The manboy told me I was wasting his time asking prices. Never shop here, this one and the original store on 51st street & Wolcott! I was ready to buy the doors and a 2washer and dryer sets. Horrible service I would give them No stars if that was an option!

This is going to be long, this isnt my first time dealing with Ive purchased several appliances from them before so naturally when I needed a stove an fridge I went to them. was informed that they had moved to the 4834 Ashland location. So I went, I saw a nice stove and a nice hisense 4 door refrigerator. Made a deal an came back the next day to pickup. Upon loading the units up I saw a washer an dryer, made the deal and even got FREE delivery, so I was happy, untilGot the stove an fridge home, we go to install the fridge and stove. Stove works perfectly fine. The refrigerator you here the compressor come on then cut right off, I KNOW ITS NOT SUPPOSE TO DO THAT! so I called the store, young lady basically says I need to wait 72 hours for it to get cold, even though I told her that wasnt the issue. I wait the 72 hrs, still not cold. They have their tech come, who immediately says its the refrigerator. They order the part, a few weeks go by an nothing so I call, now the part is in and the young lady from before says she is on her way to install it, ok perfectShe walks in and immediately starts to tell me how the refrigerator is very sensitive and that the issue could have been my electrical. Keep in mind my electrical is right there in the kitchen with her. She test my outlet from the wall 115volts as it should, then she tests the voltage from the extension cord it dropped 7.5 volts(3 plug split orange cord) she then says that its not normal for that part to just go out by itself and that if it went out again if it was the same issue it would not be covered. new part installed and instantly refrigerator starts to get cold. 3/4 hours later its out again. I went out of town an actually forgot to call. so while still under warranty I call again an tell them what happened, she instantly says its my wiring and I would have to cover the cost.I had 2 certified electricians come by, keep in mind the property was already completely rewired and passed inspection. I ordered a new refrigerator from home depot and upon delivery their tech checked wiring and everything was fine. Home Depot refrigerator a 4 door Samsung worked perfectly fine so it could not possibly be the wiringSo I put the refrigerator in the garage to get it out the way, now fast forward, we install the washer & dryer. Washer worked fine, dryer would not get hot. so I called my own repair guys. They came out and took the dryer apart only for me to see it was a small fire and the heater coils were damaged. $200 to replace ok cool, worked for 2 weeks then out again, call my guys and now the circuit board that they didnt touch before went out. (common Maytag issue) not Valdez fault but the dryer fire they knew about. I had the techs check my wiring also and the refrigerator. Wiring in the house was perfectly fine refrigerator had SEVERAL OTHER damaged PARTS!!!!! Tech also stated that its common in repair to try an blame the homeowners wiring to get out of having to be responsible.so I purchased a washer & dryer, stove and refrigerator, out of the four pieces I had to replace a refrigerator and a dryer. The young lady I dealt with was very unprofessional, BASICALLY TELLING ME IT WAS WIRING AN THAT UNLESS I HAD IT REWIRED THEY WOULDNT COVER THE COST, she gave me a number to another tech that was disconnected. So now I have to get my lawyer to file suit. $1000 refrigerator that never worked and a dryer that was damaged already!I definitely wont be doing business with them again, its just not worth the headache. It is several other resale shops on the same street that are a little bit better. Sad thing is I do real estate and buy used appliances all the time, when they were on 51st seemed to be a little bit better

I had been talking to these people for a week or so on a stove they had for sale. I finally made some time for the drive( 1.5 hrs) to go. I had asked prior to going if they were negotiable on the item and made an offer. The guy told me they will work with me. I went there, they set up the stove and we went through the complete operation of the stove. The guy helping me was a good guy. I made an offer and expected them to come down to what we agreed on the phone to. Since I was looking for a fridge also, I would think that was incentive to want to deal since I was paying in cash. After all the driving and time spent he went to full offer and wouldnt budge. They were a bit nicer to others coming in there but me for some reason, it was an abrupt no. I then began to feel like it was because of me being white was the problem. Ive never had an issue like this before, being born and raised in the city (Roseland, East Chicago) . I was looked at differently for some reason. I had everything to complete the deal and I drove there and back in rush hour traffic . I thought we were equal here? Im not too happy about the whole deal. Ill bet if I was Mexican and walked in to deal with cash, this would have been no problem at all. Im not telling anyone what to do as you have your own mind.

So I accidentally ran into this place on my way to a rental property I own, that needed a new furnace, or so the Heating and Cooling company lead me to believe. I decided to pop in, just see if it would be fruitful for me to get a good used product and potentially save some much needed $$. To my surprise, they had everything I needed at a fraction of the cost. I bought the furnace and install service, gave the address, connected them with the tenants and left to take care of other business. Upon my return, I saw that Mr. Valdez actually fixed the furnace those so called professionals couldnt fix. Mr. Valdez could have easily replace the furnace as instructed and walk away with what I know was a good deal. However, he did what he thought was right by fixing the existing furnace, and subsequently returned some of what I paid him. This is what integrity looks and feels like. I am a totally satisfied customer. Thanks Mr. Valdez and Norma Valdez.
