First time here and the service was too quick. So fast that they left items off my bagel. I ordered a spinach omelet bagel we which comes with bacon and my bacon was left out. I paid almost $10 for for fake eggs, excessive cheese and no bacon. (I did add a side of cream cheese) YOU NEVER GET A SECOND CHANCE TO MAKE A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION!
The inside is clean. They were super polite and nice. I had to cancel my online order ( thought I would be late to work)There was no issue at all when I called to do so.After finding out the store wasnt that far from my job, I decided to walk in and order. They were very accommodating regarding my large order and gave service with a smile 😃Oh and the bagels were a hit at the office.Will definitely order again!
Very upscale, the food is awesome with a wide variety of healthy choices an those SMOOTHIES ARE OFF THE METER😃 its like I dont know what too order...lol😂 usually I order the chipotle 🍗 wrap or the cheddar bagel with the ham and turkey, lettuce,tomato an cheese💥💥💥The milkshakes OMG😮😮😮😮😃😃😃WOW! very nice place family oriented that welcomes us as customers is a great American thing...thank you...❤

Heard great things from my neighbors about Great American Bagel restaurant in Oak Lawn, sadly customer service there let me down today. There was at least 5 staff behind the counter who I assumed was busy so I walked to the register and waited to be acknowledged then another customer walked in and one of the staff members greeted the customer that walked in after me so I brushed it off and stood behind that person then I ordered a southwest chipotle chicken wrap for myself and 2 other breakfast items for my husband. When I got home I took a bite out of the wrap and noticed a long strand of hair on the inside. I spit out what was in my mouth then lost my appetite as well as my husband since he was sitting next to me.
Wow! I love this location! I have been to several American Bagels - this place is always moving. Kim & her crew is so friendly & efficient. The line always moves quickly! They have served us all so well through this covid mess. They support our first responders. I come to this location 4-5 days a week. I have no idea what the complaints are about?? This place is awesome. Some are probably competitors trolling them.
This was my first time trying The Great American Bagel and was disappointed in the food. The bagels were good but I didnt realize they use fake eggs for their sandwiches and was trying to get something better than Dunkin Donuts. The staff here were friendly and hustling through the orders though.
I ve went there today and bought some bagel three of them where unbaked like raw inside .this is the second time it happened .Some of the bagels there were totally light color idk know why they not baking them all like they suppose to .those are sesame bagels and one for comparison how they supposed to look like .

I work 2 doors down from this location. I tried to stop in at 5:55 p.m. a female staff member was locking up 5 minutes early and told me they were closed. To day is Thursday, they are open until 6. Horrible behavior by an employee. I hope to hear back from a regional manager about this flagrant disregard for the locations operating hours!
Great bagels tried a pepperoni pizza bagel, it was wonderful! Also, love the garlic bagel w/vegetable cream cheese. The one by me closed. Glad to see they are still open in Oak Lawn.

They are friendly, fast, and helpful when you are trying to figure out cake size or flavor to buy. This location is also clean and well kept.
I was at this location for the first time last week and I was very happy with the service and food. I ordered a lox bagel with cream cheese and was happy to find cherry coke as one of their fountain drinks. The girl who took my order, I cant remember her name was pleasant and helpful since I hadnt been to this chain in years.

Always our go-to quick pick up breakfast place when visiting back home. Their selection of cream cheese is vast, and their breakfast sandwiches are delicious as well. Service is always quick and friendly. Do not forget to get a bagel bone for your dog either.
Ordered with door dash and asked for my sandwiches to be toasted and no tomatoes. Those simple directions were not followed. It literally takes more effort to put tomatoes on a sandwich than to not. They either cant read or deliberately ignored the instructions
Didnt get me extra bagel. My sandwich wasnt made properly. I called to get it replaced and got attitude and told I guess we could remake it what do you mean you guess? Make it correct the first time.... will not return. Rather drive to palos.
I was there at 6:15 and asked for 2 poppy and 2 sesame. Got to work and had 3 sesame and one poppy. And the bagels are stale. At 6:15 in the morning! Time to take out the day old bagels!
A tight squeeze in the parking lot. Kind of old time feel in the place, with a vast selection of bagels and other edible products which are very good. Place can get a bit cramped, but they do try to keep up. Very friendly in a professional manner.

Every person has a terrible customer service story to tell, but with these hard times of making money and delivering their bagels I was so upset on how I was treated by the manager. A customer ordered on door dash and I’ve been working since 8 am but the manager said it wasn’t a big deal when I had the respect to bring back the wrong order for the customer. Also she kept stating that the customer wasn’t mad but she doesn’t understand the problem DOOR DASH doesn’t work on her instructions to bring back the customers name. I am very sorry but her “manager” skills aren’t very satisfying, she doesn’t know anything happening and is very disrespectful to a driver that works for them everyday of the week. This is my second time visiting this location. It deserved 2 stars only because the first time I came I ordered a lox bagel and the meat was brownish on the end.I ignored it and just ate around it. The second time I ordered a soup and a sandwich. I said NO MUSTARD. And they ended up putting what looked like, extra mustard.As for the staff, from my past two experiences, the same girl took my order and she looked very sad. She did not look like she enjoys her job or the fact that she actually has one.I am pretty upset because normally I love The Great American Bagel. Oh and when I complained the staff did not even apologize! I am pretty pissed so as of now I won’t be going to the location anymore!!!!! And I am here every week!

The customer service was horrible. I explained Id never been in before and was asking questions. Not one time did anyone offer help or smile. I felt as though I was bothering them. Typically I enjoy Great American bagels, and decided to try this location. I came in with a smile and left just wanting to get out. The girl who took my order looked like she would rather be anywhere but there and when I asked for something Id had at another location she couldnt be bothered. So I chose something else because she was looking at me with a lets go expression. Honestly the food was eh, the panini was not crispy and it just didnt have flavor. Honestly Id rather go elsewhere and get better customer service. First and last time here.

This is my go to place for breakfast. The sunrise and the American breakfast sandwiches are my favorite. Their lunch sandwiches are excellent too. Every flavor bagel you ever wanted and more. They even have dog treats.

Ive been coming here for 10 years. Employees are changing my experience. Got a bagel (asiago with plain cream cheese), get back to car its just the bagel with no cream cheese. Go back in and Diana yelled at me asking me whether I paid for it or not. Literally asking and yelling it, infront of all the customers. Then proceeded to yell at me when I wasnt willing to answer her as loud as she was. I was embarrassed. And my bagel wasnt even toasted the second time. Very bad service. Going to the one Palos now
