I absolutely love my new Family Room furniture. I had a wonderful experience working with Jason Wilder. He provided great options that would work within my budget, was very timely in responding to follow up questions after our consultation and delivered the look I wanted for my space. I also want to say that the delivery service was fantastic. The team that delivered my furniture was polite, asked how the room should be set up, was on time, finished in a timely manner & cleaned up all of the debris!

Our designer, Grace Nickelson, provide the best design services I have ever experienced. She listened to my ideas and was able to help me visualize what I was looking for. She even came to our house to see our room and recreated it online so we could see how the furniture we wanted would fit. I love her personally and style and would entrust her with our next room to design.

When I walked into your store, I did not have the intention of purchasing a new dining table and chairs but Jason was very helpful and really listened to what I was really looking for in my dining area. He showed us fabric options and wood options that would go with my living room furniture. Jason took the time to do up a virtual dining room with my selections so I could get a good visual of what it would look like! The Benham chairs are well constructed and solid, a real plus when you have grandkids. I love the size of the Grattan table and the bonus leaves will make holidays a breeze. Jasons advice and great customer service was much appreciated. The furniture was delivered about one month early. Everything is perfect!

Jason was our designer and he was fantastic! He incorporated both of our styles into the vision we imagined. The fact that we were able to do everything virtually was the icing on the cake. We loved the collaborative process and are beyond thrilled with the results! We will definitely be back!

Dont do it. In no way should you buy furniture here without a strict guarantee that if it doesnt work that you can return or exchange it. Wait, thats the problem. They dont care if youre happy in the end. They are one and done happy with your money.Its overpriced hotel furniture and you will be sorry you wasted your money. We ordered a table and chairs because absolutely nothing is in stock. Everything you order is then deemed custom even though its just cookie cutter furniture. The furniture doesnt work in our space. We did our best to measure and mark the floor. My father owns an antique store and we absolutely took returns. I have decades experience in this industry and we tried to buy what we thought would work.It took 5 months to get our furniture. Were out over $5,000 and of course now its absolutely worthless. We couldnt get $500 for this set in the secondary market. They would not do anything. No store credit, no restock fee. NOTHING. Do not reward them with your hard earned money.Heres an update 2/16. We called corporate after being told we were out of luck. They called our sales representative at the location and made him offer to exchange the table. The table wasnt the problem. It was the chairs. We told him that repeatedly. He called my wife after reading this review because he was upset and asked her to convince me to take it down because he did offer to do something. Actually, he didnt do anything. Corporate made him offer to swap the table and it wouldnt make the difference. The set doesnt work in our space. The idea that this was some sort of magnanimous offer and that we should be placated is another reason you should not shop here. Call again Ethan Allen. This review will just get worse.

We have been on a journey to find the perfect couch for our new home since April. Upon the July delivery of a custom piece from a D2C millennial brand, we were completely distraught by the disaster that was ultimately unpacked in our home. After several months of immensely delayed, response from the company and finally a confirmation of full refund and pick-up of the defective couch, we returned to our journey of finding a better alternative.As we all know, the furniture industry can be a bit nuanced. We visited various retailers, from EQ3 to Walter E. Smithe, BluDot and Jayson Home, Arhaus, you name it. We ran into some pushy salespeople, some weird ones who insisted they follow us around, and some who emulated what felt like a used car salesman back in the 90s (the type you see in movies). Needless to say it was a rather stressful experience.We met Jason last week at a visit to Ethan Allen. And while we ultimately decided to go an alternative route (Ethan Allens price points were a bit too rich for us), I am inclined to share what an amazing asset Jason was during our visit. He was incredibly hospitable, knowledgeable, easy to get along with, and patient with us. His follow up was timely and not aggressive whatsoever. He communicated the benefits of spending $X amount on a couch perfectly, showed us the workmanship of the design and the commitment to quality Ethan Allen provides. If the couch we were eyeing wasnt so far from what we were looking to spend, we would have ultimately landed on the option he provides.While we unfortunately couldnt reward Jason with our sale, if we only had deeper pockets, he would have without a doubt earned our business.

Went in to browse, we accosted by a sales lady who kept asking where we were from, what we needed, etc. We said we were just checking out the store, and then she was insistent on telling us how to make our way around the store. She wanted to give us a grand tour....we said we were on a time crunch hoping shed take a hint, but then she told us to walk a certain direction. It was absolutely suffocating!!! Instead of leisurely walking around letting pieces of furniture find our eyes, we ran out of the store feeling overwhelmed by the sales pressure! Avoid!!

Extremely Disappointed.I recently purchased my first home in downtown Chicago after working extremely hard to achieve this goal and decided I needed to find a large statement piece for my home. After walking past Ethan Allen I noticed a large Chicago mural in their front window which I had decided would look great in my home. I met with a designer who explained to me the two sizing options and printed me out specs of the print in two sizes. The designer then stated I was able to get some promotional pricing on the piece however the order needed to be placed then with a down payment. I decided to proceed with the order as a gift to myself for my hard work and accomplishments. I placed the order and was given 48-72 hours to change the order if needed, which is completely understandable for a custom piece, but no further disclaimers or expectations were given. Delivery was anticipated for right before Christmas, and this was the first week of November. About a week after the order was placed my designer contacted me to let me know the order was processed however the order ready date was pushed to the last week of December between Christmas and New Years due to holiday orders. No problem.No further communication or expectations were given in custom pieces.About a week before the last week of December I had not received an order update so I reached back out for confirmation we were still running on schedule so that I could plan my own schedule around my much anticipated piece. I was then made aware that the delivery had been once again pushed to the first week of January, however, not to expect any further changes in delivery date as typically these orders do have a tendency of changing as the custom piece becomes ready. Little disappointing as I was hoping to have the piece in my home for a New Years gathering, however I made do.On 1/6 I reached back out for a status update on my order, since we were entering the second week of January and I had not received any update or communication. On 1/8 I received communication back that my order was completed and that delivery would be arranged which it was the following Friday. Given multiple delays and poor communication, it was great news!Upon delivery I had noticed the piece seemed to appear somewhat smaller than I had anticipated even with the custom framing added on to the canvas. The delivery man was very kind, courteous, and helpful in getting the piece into my home. After delivery I measured the piece from outside of custom framing, for benefit of the doubt, to find out the piece was roughly 2 short around each side, respectively.I made contact with my designer to make her aware of the issue and sent pictures & measurements along with all documentation given to me at the time of sale. She said she would forward on to Customer Service and get back with me when she had word, this was on 1/17.On 1/30 I had not received any communication back so I reached back out to see if there had been any feedback since I had assumed this was made to order, and pulled to exact measurements, and any discrepancies would be fixed prior to delivery. After all, it was a custom Ethan Allen piece. When I reached back out on 1/30, since once again, I had not received feedback, my designer replied back that customer service had stated that there is always a possibility in variance of the dims during manufacturing and that there was nothing that could be done. I was very disappointed as this had not been mentioned at all during the time of sale or even in expectations with custom pieces. Had I known I would have gone for the larger size expecting the possibility of a smaller size. I reached out and offered to return the piece myself in exchange for even the store display, however my designer stated they best they could do was offer me a one-time return in exchange for ordering the larger piece, at a higher price point, for half of the original promotional discount.I politely declined and thanked her for her time.

My overall experience was so-so. Although the EA website claims their design services are absolutely free with no strings attached, our designer (and a few others I spoke with on chat) made it very clear that their service was contingent on me purchasing all my items from EA. I did speak with one very nice designer who offered me design ideas completely free and was not pushy at all. I wish I could remember her name. She was very helpful in deciding which items to place on my entryway console table. We love our Ferdos Maleki painting, which totally makes our dining room, as well as the Corin dining table; however the custom sofa pillow that we paid almost $200 for was so small and disappointing for the price. The Karmada lamp, although pretty, was too big for our space. We were told it had to be returned to the Chicago location only...even though we live 5 minutes from the Naperville store. My husband had to drive 1.5 hours each way in traffic while fasting (for Ramadan) to return the lamp, and the lady didn’t even know about the return. Frustrating to say the least. And I still haven’t gotten my refund on my card. Not sure if I would purchase from EA in the future...even though their designs are completely spot on with my taste...just based on this first experience.
