After having visited this shop on several occasions, hoping each time to be better than the last, it is abundantly clear the staff have no interest in helping customers. The staff seem solely interested in discussing the merits of natural wine among themselves and providing insipid answers to inquiring customers. By definition ANY other wine shop will be better than this one.

So we had a great time in this wonderful setting. We used to stop here and catch up with our friends. I liked the background jazz music as well as the wonderful wine! We chose a fantastic Spanish wine and were not disappointed; the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was knowledgeable and courteous. Thank you so much for a fantastic time!

I love this place. The staff give customers personal attention, and they know their beers, wine, and liquor. The selection is the best wine selection around. They have a solid beer selection that isn’t huge but is really high quality. Their liquor selection is small, but very very solid.They have something for everyone - something for folks looking for a tried and true beverage...something for those looking try to a new drink...something for the connoisseur. And you can always find something in whatever price range you’re looking for. Oh, and their Tuesday beer tastings and Thursday wine tastings (free!) are a great chance to try new stuff and meet new people.

Everyone already knows about the amazing selection and prices, but did you know that the employees at this wine shop are helpful with wine selection, not just restocking the bottles? On multiple occasions, Ive asked for help from employees, and theyve always been very cheerful. They immediately have wine recommendations, sometimes asking you what you intend to use it for. I strongly recommend this place!

A great little place for all of your wine needs. They have wine tasting on Thursdays and beer tasting on Tuesdays I believe. The wines are decently priced and they also have a section for under $12 bottles. Check it out.

It is a pretty great salon compared to other salon in Chicago. This one requires appointment, but it doesnt do unnecessary consultation appointments that only look at your hair for 2 min, determine the hair condition, then wait for the appointment. This store instead does the haircut or perm right away, and the employees are very skilled, and much more trustworthy because of their years of experience.

This is hands down my favorite wine place ever. They are so helpful, and good at translating stuff like She likes white wines, I like red, can we have an in between for under 20 bucks. It is super accessible and I hope it stays for the foreseeable future!

I very much like this little wine shop on the east side of Hyde Park. Its an excellent location, as otherwise theres essentially no wine beer or liquor available unless you had all the way to Treasure Island or even 53rd Street. They have an excellent selection, and theyre always willing to help you pick out wines, beers, or anything else they might have on hand. Definitely listen to their advice as they always know what theyre talking about and just want you to leave with a good bottle in your hand.

This is such a cute wine shop in Hyde Park. They have a great variety and free tastings on Thursdays. We bought wine we tasted and loved having that chance to socialize. Highly recommend

Ive only come here for beer, so I cant speak to the wine. However, the beer selection is a great collection of local, craft beers (albeit more expensive than other liquor shops). I do appreciate the chance to support small, local businesses, but I dont go here that often because the prices are a bit higher.

While I was sad to see the antiquarian bookstore go, this wine shop is a good consolation prize. Knowledgeable and friendly staff make reasonable suggestions. The selection of wine, beer, and spirits isnt the largest, but every one seems to be curated by the staff for quality. They host tastings regularly in their cozy shop, and we often come home with an offering. The only problem is that Im having a glass of wine every night now. I know doctors say you should have two, but Ill have to work up to that.

The owner is really knowledgeable about everything they offer. If you ask for help, you are guaranteed to walk away with something you like. The Thursday tastings are also a nice touch.
