Fantastic neighborhood grocery store. Phenomenal produce, great selection of meats. The customer service is superb and the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Great variety of imported foods from all over the world.
Mid-sized grocery with all the staples and great produce selection. Rotating menu of hot and cold prepared items, some quite good. Surprisingly good cheese selection including half dozen types of Feta. Try it, you wont be disappointed.
This is a great super market. They carry things a lot of other super markets dont.
Great finds this week: 1. Coconut bliss ice cream, (all the flavors in store), is the best alternative ice cream on the market.2. Zeal Grass fed A2 milk, again best tasting milk out there...Another great find there.. 3.Thyrmophyles pistachios from Greece which have higher fiber then any other brand..Bonus, they are screened for mold.. they are incredible...Best finds in any store in a while, including Whole Foods...
Great clean store, filled with great produce with good prices and quality. Everyone that works there is always so friendly and helpful. There is always a nice variety of foods. Better than Amy chain store.
This grocery store offers very fair prices, a large product range, and a variety of options, as well as a focus on food items with clean ingredients. Often, fantastic weekly sales and high-quality merchandise are available. The stores are well-kept, and the staff is courteous and supportive. This grocery store comes highly recommended by me for all of your shopping needs!
4.1stars. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice deli crew. Freshly stacked vegetables. Always fresh meat from skilled butchers. If you need something, just ask. Ground Pork always good. Check out the prepackaged cold salads near deli. Some examples; Curry, cous cous, mac, hummus etc. Bread choices, dairy and imports good. Smallish aisles and checkouts. Great parking lot east of store. Solar power assist, so a greenish store.
Good produce for fruit and vegetables. I got the best garlic bulbs today, too.
Easy to find, has parking lot, good selection. They got most everything you need and some hard to find items. Good meat & to-go deli section. Decent selection of international items. Seafood section is kinda lacking. Some things are overpriced. Staff is friendly. I prefer giving them business over the common retailers
HarvesTime is hands down one of the best grocery stores in Chicago. Its small, but packed with everything you could ever want. Im very fortunate to live within walking distance.
We got a good deal on cereal and soda today. There always good deals for whatever your needs may be at any time. I am always impressed with this store and there customer service.
Worst cut of steak ever! Bought steaks at Harvestime and it was tough and gristly. Had to put the steak in the food processor and feed it to the dogs!! Could not eat it! Wax garbage. Very disappointed st $8.99 a pound. Will never buy steak from them again and my husband is an excellent cook. Do not buy steak from Harvestime. Walmart has better beef then Harvestime. Our dogs will end up eating this at $8.99 a pound. OUTRAGEOUS!
Good quality produce, fresh meats, deli, dairy & bakery items at good prices.
I love shopping here! Mostly come in for baguettes and bread that are amazing but could get lost looking at all the little goodies around the store. Quality selections and helpful staff...
The have the freshest fruits and vegetables in the city! Always fresh and Ive never seen anything about to go bad like those big name grocery stores. Love!
Produce is top-notch quality, great selection of international foods as well as regular American staples. Deli counter service is always quick and friendly, and if you havent tried the fresh-cut Feta cheese, do it! Youll never buy the sad plastic-box stuff again. :-)
Great produce selection.Amazing prices.
I put this on FB, so forgive the odd formatting. The pandemic has been so hard on so many of us. At times its been hard to find touchstones for normalcy. For many of us in the Lincon Square/Albany Park/Ravenswood area, that his been made a little easier by HarvesTime Foods. I know they are already deeply loved (57 reviews on FB, all 5 stars!), but I had to say my piece.I first saw a mask at HarvesTime. First saw hand sanitizer stations at HarvesTime. First reasonably priced grocery pick up? HarvesTime. First Senior hours? HarvesTime. And now that they have taken down their CDC guidelines sign, everyone (employees and customers alike) are still wearing masks. To keep our community safe. This pandemic has been at least as hard on them as it has been on us and yet they are always smiling, providing perfectly cut taco meat and selling the only other dog food Eleanor will eat.We neighbors hear that Amazon Fresh may be moving in down the street. I am by no means anti-capitalist, I think competition is a good thing. I also think that Amazon would be making a significant mistake. It seems likely they assume HarvesTime is just another produce store that they will dominate. They are wrong. HarvesTime is our neighborhood gathering place, our United Nations, our touchstone.Block Club Chicago, how about a story? You wont be disappointed. NBC, how about a Making a Difference story? They certainly qualify.Thank you HarvesTime! You have never let us down and I am truly grateful for you!Thank you HarvesTime! You have never let us down and I am truly grateful for you!(All photos borrowed)
This little grocery store has everything! Fresh herbs and spices, fresh meat and even vegetarian options along with toiletries and Chicago specific vendors!
A great neighborhood grocery shop with a variety of offerings. From produce to imported foods, the quality is unmatched. Staff is courteous and very helpful 👍
Great produce, meats and the best feta cheese! Hi out of my way to shop there.
Its a recommendable complete local grocery store in the neighborhood of Lincoln Square in Chicago.
Shopping at HarvesTime is such a pleasant experience. They have an extensive offering in just about every department, but the selection isnt overwhelming like at huge chain stores, which means I can shop with efficiency. The quality of produce as well as packaged products and prepared food is high, and I appreciate that their diverse selection includes standard American and international foods and also keeps up with food trends. Ive been shopping here for six years and it has become my golden standard for a neighborhood grocer. Im very grateful for HarvesTime!
One of the best grocery stores on the North Side
I do wish that the standard oatly oat milk were more regularly in stock. I feel like every time I come it’s out of stock. I also wish they carried bread flour. Otherwise it’s a great neighborhood store!
Love this place. All the staples but SO much more! I keep finding great new (otherwise boutique) items like early harvest olive oil, a surprisingly large selection of breads, farm fresh eggs, various pickled veggies, Asian noodles, and a butcher shop that NEVER fails to provide whatever I have a hankering for! The produce is top notch; harvestime is always my first stop.
What can I say, Harvestime is the best grocery store in the city. Fresh salsas, the carnitas made daily. The produce is fantastic at a great price! If you havent been you are missing out.
Very fresh products. One of the best supermarkets in Chicago when it comes to fruits and veggies. They are actually very sought after and I know various greats chefs who recommend shopping here for your fish products. I definitely recommend this place.
Large supply of organics at the lowest price anywhere. Also love I can find products from France, Germany and Spain. Can not beat the prices and quality at any other store in the Chicagoland area.
This grocery store is a great place to find pretty much whatever you’re looking for at affordable prices. Extensive selections of many things. I really wish they would have the layout in a way that makes sense though. Many items are spread out all over the store in ways that aren’t intuitive so it makes it really hard to find things. Also wish they would limit the number of people allowed inside as this store tends to be real really busy and poses a risk for Covid.
This is a fantastic location for a large variety of foods to explore and experience. We like Saritas Pupuseria particularly. Theyre great pupusas, and you get to watch them make them.
We had just visited the HarvesTime Foods. This place was very cool with lots of different casual places to eat / drink and shop.
High quality food at great prices.
I don’t know who gave this place less than 4 stars but what in the hell are you talking about?? This is the best grocery store in the city. I used to live around the corner. When I’m visiting from the East coasts to see family it’s the place I shop most. Super clean. Efficient. Quality products, including the large array of European and Mexican specialty items. And the prepared foods guys/butchers are so cool to deal with. It always feels super relaxed and the Rotisserie Chicken has ruined every other store’s product. THE BEST!! Actually heading there now to be there when they open.
Their food selection is pretty diverse, which great! However, their customer service is HORRIFIC! The clerks are super moody and they dont take the time to help out with bagging, they just stand there while looking at their nails. Horrible customer service. Unfortunately, this is the only option for my family.
Fresh fruits and veggies. Well organized and maintained hygiene properly.
Always the best produce
Great selection of vegetables. Unusual herbs and spices like avocado leaves.
Great prices, produce, vegan/vegetarian options, all the cheese and bread a gal could want. There’s no better grocery store on the northside.
Great selection of fresh produce and lots of middle eastern and Latino foods. Shoppers and workers are careful about social distance.
They have a large variety of groceries. More fine food. Lots of imports. Prepared foods as well. Great selection of meats and cheese. Chocolate and imported cookies. They also have fresh produce and a deli/butcher. Ive seen quail eggs here and they sell paleo chocolate. Also fresh bread. Lots of reasons to check it out!!! Thanks Harvest Time.
Harvest time is great! They got the best deli for sandwich stuff and a wide variety of produce, lots of vegan and vegetarian stuff as well as quite a bit of international food
Shining example of a neighborhood business that is still run in a manner which puts value and customer service first.Their prepared foods like Pozole w/Hominy and Spanikopita, are made and packaged with pride. The meat and fish selections go well beyond the typical. If you dont come across something you like in their homemade dessert cooler you may want to rush yourself to a hospital as you are possibly in the midst of a stoke.Keep up the good work Harvest Time. We need more of your kind in our world!
This store is in walking distance from my apartment. They have smart choices to eat. This time I bought a large salad which feeds 2, they make the salads in house. I will add tuna fish, more cucumbers, more green olives and some water melon chunks & use my own salad dressing. The salads come with salad dressing. Then I bought 1 liter of Guava Nectar aka juice by Premium Fresh. Then I bought 2 pre cut fruit watermelon & Honey dew Melon chunks. They cut the fruit into chunks and sell them. I buy them by the price point. For me its easier than trying to fit a whole melons in my tiny refrigerator. But great to throw on salads for dinner or lunch and go for a Raspberry Vinaigrette. It pulls out the fruit, means You will notice the fruit by taste. Last thing I bought was a Peach Turnover, for breakfast tomorrow. I think they bake theres in house? Not sure, but they have them in many flavors Apple, Apricot, Cherry, Peach,Raspberry. They are towards the front of the checkouts. In a tall plastic tower. The French bread sits on The bottom. This you smell baking of French Breads. As the guy is pulling them out putting them in the paper wrappers. Its a fun store to shop in the staff are friendly, I see the manager who runs this store. I buy from the Deli the guys will help you decided what is better than the other in cheeses or luncheon meats. Its a cool place to shop at
Fresh produce, great selection of Greek cheeses, and friendly employees. My favorite grocery store.
One of my favorite grocery stores. Fresh produce and the best deli/fresh meats/hot food. Also love all the local bakery goods. Easy parking
Wonderful fresh produce and some unexpected delights for a good price.
Great prices on produce. Wide selection of international items
Nice grocery store. Has cards and flowers too. Clean and organized. Prices are competitive.
Nice little grocer. They have amazing fresh baked items and groceries you may need.
Such kind and cheerful people who shopped my online order! A super sweet gentleman brought my order out to my car and put it in my trunk! This was the best shopping experience I’ve had during the pandemic and don’t plan to shop anywhere else! Thanks again!
Great selection of items at fair prices. Its so easy to move in and out. Service is always very helpful. This place is quite the gem for grocery shopping.
Fresh produce, great prices, good selection of meats, cheese, and breads.
I cant stress how much i love this place! Ive been a customer for years! The produce is always the freshest! I love that you can go and pick up food thats already in pre-made for those days youre not in the mood to cook. I love that i can find all Greek products & Hispanics foods here! I love that they are so quick to help you find something you are looking for or get it from the back, if its not on the shelf. The staff is soo incredibly friendly, and always remembers my face and ask how my family is. This place will continue to be my favorite grocery store!
HarvesTime is a great, family-run place. Ive been shopping there for eight years, because the selection of produce and international foods is fantastic and the prices are *excellent*. And now, in the time of the coronapocalypse, theyre really doing what they can to keep everyone safe, asking for customers to wear masks and installing plexiglass between customers and cashiers. AND in addition, theyve figured out their supply lines really quickly, so while my friends complain about missing flour, yeast, tortillas, bread, Ive been able to get all those things, thanks to HarvesTime (sorry, friends!). You can order from their website, too, and theyll call you when your order is ready for pickup, and then when you get there, you call them and theyll bring it straight to your car. Ive had to move out of state temporarily a couple of times for work and always miss HarvesTime when I go!
Just great people and good food item selections
Love this store, always stocked with what I need and the environment is friendly and organized. Thank you Harvest
Really great place for fresh food and a unique selection.
What a great grocery store!
Great grocery store. Excellent produce. Always something good on sale.
Great store, barely any lines, great produce. If you need hot sauce go here theres so many. Great international food selection. Produce is fresh. I usually hate grocery store shopping due to crowds and long lines. Sometimes its crowded but they staff the lines a lot so it goes fast. I go there too often now!
Excellent, excellent Staff, their Customer Service skills are outstanding Store has a wide variety of food products nice Honey selection
Consistently nice store. Quality produce, reasonable prices.
I come here for some of the best prosciutto and mortadella Ive ever had. Good place if you like quality meats and cheeses.
Great local grocery store.
Fantastic selection, good prices and the staff is super knowledgeable about everything in the store. Have found new delicious cuts I never knew existed as well as easy access to all our favorites. Great addition to the neighborhood and worth the trip if youre thinking about it.
Easily one of my favorite groceries. Excellent produce, and a variety of other quality products that are difficult to find elsewhere.
Always the best produce. Ive enjoyed shopping here for 15 years or so. Ill drive across town rather than shop at others
Harvestime is one of the best small market/produce stores Ive been to in Chicago. They have a great selection of fresh produce, from common fruits and vegetables to more interesting choices. The dry goods are well organized, with good selection. They dont have as many choices as a supermarket, but they seem to have at least a couple for each item. The deli has high quality cold cuts and cheeses. Their ethnic food choices range from East Asian to Middle Eastern to Latin American. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Cant recommend this place enough.
Great selection of international foods, helpful staff, great prices
Reasonable per se look for sale items. Good fresh meats
Makes me wish I lived in the area. A great local grocery store. Nice selection of items, the produce seems very fresh, the store overall was clean.
Great selection of grocery items, friendly and quick service and good prices on produce and other items. Well done HarvesTime!
Love this place for great and very affordable fruits and vegetables.
Natural healthy foods from multiple cultures. love it.
Love HarvesTime. Great produce and meat (their chicken breasts are always beautifully hand trimmed and frequently on sale). Their butchers will cut anything to order. Their homemade hummus is the bomb. But my favorite thing is from their hot food to go--the enchilada dinner with rice and beans (and a steal for 5.99). The enchiladas are bathed in an incredible mole sauce. TO DIE FOR. Its not always available, but when it is, I buy it!
By far my favorite grocery store in the area! They have an excellent variety of produce and European imports for amazing prices. Employees are very helpful, and the environment is upbeat for a grocery store. I would recommend Harvestime Foods to anyone!
Best grocery store in the area. Amazing selection of produce and deli products, sprinkled in with some local produce which you cant find at other stores (microgreens, specialty finishing sauces from co-op) and the best French feta you can find. We buy the feta for meals throughout the week but it always needs to be eaten when we get home with our freshly baked bread. Love this store!!!
Love this place! The prices are great and because of that a fast sell rate keeps the produce fresh. This is my go-to vegetable and fruit place in the city have been going to it for almost 20 years, you should definitely give it a try.
Great place to shop for fresh grocery. Meat section is great, good quality and cheap. We always find the spices we are looking for. Always shopped from this place when we lived near it.
Always Good Service...Great prices and outstanding staff. If you looking for fresh meat, this is the place to go...Try their unique sheep cheese feta... is fresh daily...They welcome Link Card users....
I love their produce section - nice variety, good quality, & great prices. They have a diverse offering of products throughout the store which means I can always find what I need instead of having to stop at 3 different stores to get my shopping done. Lots of polite & friendly employees too!
One of my top 2 grocery stores in the city. What it lacks in size is made up for in quality- produce & meat options cant be beat here. Solid quick/fresh selection of items, and literally every flavor of Kettle Chip imaginable. Tip: Try their fresh made guacamole.
Great variety of foods that you cant usually find easily. Good prices and there are always some great deals. Definitely my favorite grocery store focused around the neighborhood. Only downfall is the cramped parking lot, but plenty of parking down side streets if your uncomfortable with tight spaced lot.
Great produce and meat! Owner wont put out produce if it is not great quality! Love that! Awesome check out staff!
I love this place. Produce is always excellent quality. Prices are not unreasonable for a smaller grocery store. Has become integral to the neighborhood.
Great spot, especially for a neighborhood not-Jewel-type grocery store. Inventory might seem lean, but theyve probably got what you need unless youre looking for freezer-section junk. Meat and produce are top notch.
I love this store! The produce is always amazing. The prices are reasonable. They have local specialties. I would like the store to sell lamb and beef soup bones.... you know, the big bones that get discarded.
The inventory at Harvestime represents a wonderful, reasonably priced cross section of the cultures in this area of Chicago, including excellent Latin, eastern European and Middle Eastern grocery selections. Go for the reasonably priced produce. Come back for the half dozen styles of yogurt.
A perfect neighborhood grocery store! It serves the needs of nearby ethnic groups and cultures. Its small enough to navigate quickly and easily, yet it has everything but the most specialized of foods and ingredients. And it has one the best produce departments in the city.
Love this place. Its in my old neighborhood but I still stop by on the way home. They have the best olives, feta and choices of bread.
They are best known for produce. They have a good deli counter and offer some interesting ethnic and specialty products. Service is great and Ive never seen long checkout lines. Unfortunately, they have a poor selection and/or high prices on many mainstream packaged goods like soup, prepackaged meat, yogurt, etc.
Do not buy chicken on special. This the 3rd time I buy chicken from them that is spoiled. I open the package and it smell so bad. I rather buy Aldi chicken then buy from Harvest. 60 dollars are down the drain
Love that they stock Tonys Chocolonely chocolate!! Theyre the only brand that guarantees 100% slave-free chocolate.
Nice variety of meats cheeses fruits and spices.
This is how I #shopsmall every week. Fresh produce for dirt cheap. I kid you not. I leave with 2 bags of groceries for less than $10. I typically come here for fruits and veggies. Very clean and priced well. And kudos to them for installing solar panels. I am going to miss this grocery store now that I am moving further west.
