I have just had the most terrible experience with Stone City. Without sharing a dissertation here, customer service was HORENDOUS, delivery took forever, when it did arrive the 2 pieces didnt match and they told me thats normal and the back and side splash were the wrong size. Finally the agreed to replace the top, more issues, terrible customer service, delays, the second one arrived and Im not super happy with the installation of it but I just want to be done and cant waste more time. I do not recommend using Stone City!!

Without a doubt the worst customer service Ive experienced. They string you along for months even after I asked them to draw a template for a specific countertop I needed. Months later, they draw the template and then they ask for full payment up front even after a former sales person said I can pay 75% down and the balance when the job is done. They insisted on full payment, when I said no they cancelled the order. Back to square one.Save yourself the trouble!

Ive spoken to several local fabricators for help & they have all told me that Stone City has a terrible reputation in the industry. We were remodeling our home and had zero experience in doing this. Our friends and neighbors have used Stone City so we went to check out counters for kitchen, mudroom (over the washer/dryer workspace) bathroom and bar. We also purchased our floor tile for the mudroom and bathroom there. Their selection blew us away. After discussing what our home looked like and showing her pictures of it and inspiration pictures of what we hoped the remodeled spaces would be, our saleswoman asked to see our cabinet samples and in no time she navigated us through their huge warehouse to show us what she thought would compliment them. Then we went upstairs with those in mind and selected the tile. The counters are beyond what we hoped for and I never thought wed have something so beautiful in our home. The team of installers led by Jose were professional, courteous and answered all my questions. Two of the counters being replaced by them were going on built-ins we already had and they made sure to install without harming those in any way. Id also like to note that our saleswoman, Jacqueline, answered all my emails and would call me back to update me on delivery and info on the products. So refreshing to have someone so attentive. We heard about many large projects their company works on and they made us feel like our home was their number one priority. Im still pinching myself that it all came together so smoothly and was such a positive experience.

I recently updated my kitchen and master bath, and used Stone City for the installation and the supply. The results are beautiful, and I couldnt be happier with my new quartzite countertops and marble wall. Tip - to get to know what they have, you have to walk their inventory, as they have so many options to choose from, and you can finding the right veining and look that you want.

Stone City has the most beautiful selection of quartzite countertops. I have finished off my master bath, kitchen, and powder room and used their design services. I couldnt be more satisfied with the outcome. You have to make it out to their showroom to see the stone in person, it is hard to catch the look online.

We’ve used Stone City for all of our attorney offices. They’ve helped us with the design, quartzite counters and marble flooring. They’ve always completed tasks on time, and we have never had an issue with delay. I highly recommend their commercial design services.

I had a very tight deadline to get a kitchen and bath finished. I had issues with a prior company that dropped the ball and left me in a real bind. I went to Stone City and was taken care of. They did go above and beyond to meet my deadline which saved me an incredible amount of frustration (client was out of country and coming back expecting a finished product). They will be my go to on any additional projects.

I purchased a 6 unit building that needed a gut rehab. I went in to Stone City and was impressed with the selections and I found exactly what I was looking for. They cut me a really good deal on price. I had an issue with the install that was not their fault at all. It couldve been a serious problem and it easily couldve cost me major delays in finishing my project but the outside the box thinking from the installers was exactly what we needed and they were able to get the job done and done well. It was the level of expertise of the installers that ended up saving me a ton of time and money. Ill definitely use these guys again.

Very satisfied with the product and service. I was very back and forth and quite indecisive on which direction to go. They steered me to the path that I would eventually fall in love with. They know what they are doing. No regrets here.

Finally got my marble bathroom! Did a bathroom remodel all supplied by Stone City. I did the design services as well, so they helped me figure out the trends and style. I am so happy with my bathroom, now on to my kitchen!

Did a full kitchen remodel and purchased countertops and cabinets from StoneCity. They were the only supplier that had perla quartzite, and I couldn’t be happier on the slab I was able to get. Also, the measurements were good, which was my biggest concern with such a large countertop.

I used Stone City in 2006 when I built my first house. They handled all my stone floors, countertops, vanities, plumbing fixtures and appliances. Everything turned out better that I could have expected and was beyond satisfied with my experience. When the opportunity came to build another house recently, I knew exactly where I was going, Stone City.Things went just as well, if not better, the second time around. Their staff was helpful in picking out stone flooring materials and making suggestions about patterns in the foyer and powder room. They were also amazing to work with in picking out cabinetry for half a dozen areas, and made great suggestions about counter materials that turned out looking spectacular. Their team including Lizette and others, spent all the time we need meeting at their design center and sorting out all the choices. Countertops were delivered on time and the Stone City install team was careful, efficient, polite and cleaned up after the installation was complete.Stone City did an amazing job again! My marble flooring, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, appliances and countertops all turned out perfect. I have no hesitation whatsoever to recommend Stone City to anyone. 2 new construction single family homes, in 2006 and 2019, turned out spectacular due to Stone City and their commitment to the customer.I would rate them beyond 5 stars if possible!

Stone city helped me remodel both my kitchen and bath including cabinets, counters and fixtures. I had no idea where to begin and honestly when I walked into the showroom I was a little overwhelmed, but the staff helped out big time! I had a party last week and everyone told me how beautiful everything was, I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Came in because I was referred by the tile outlet folks to get a slab remnant for next to a bath tub. They want you to fill out all of your personal information before a sales person will help you. That seemed really slimy to me and the girl at the front I spoke to it about didnt seem to care if I liked it or not. The sales person was pretty nice but no prices were marked. When I asked how much something was the calculator started smoking and I felt like I was in a used car dealership.

I had my counter tops installed over a year ago. They are so beautiful. Lisette was sweet, friendly, and helpful. The installation guys were very prompt and professional. Stone City had a lot of beautiful varieties to choose from. Thanks guys for a wonderful job well done. And get your fax machine fixed! Lol

We found the best selection in the Chicago area here for natural stones. Our sales rep Alicia was wonderful, and facilitated us getting beautiful stone counter tops in our new kitchen.

Unprofessional and unorganized. Their reps are uninformed regarding how to properly measure the usable areas of a slab. Additionally, when we returned a questionable material, they agreed to refund us the purchase price, minus a restocking fee. We never received the refund. They refuse to return our calls and flat out ignore our calls.Avoid doing business with them if possible!

My husband and I just want to THANK YOU for our new granite counter-tops. The entire experience was top-notch and were very grateful! Special thanks to Evelyn in sales, (shes a gem - incredibly sweet and highly professional) who understood that we were nervous after reading some negative reviews about STONE CITY Kitchen & Bath Design Center and who promised to oversee the entire order from start to finish. (She also explained that they do 1000s of counters and there will always be a few who are unhappy and that, honestly, sometimes mistakes do happen (human nature) but they try their best to avoid them.) Anyway, after the installation of our counters, we noticed the seam was very slightly raised which we worried could lead to chipping down the road. Evelyn had the installers come out the very next day and polish the edge away. The seam is barely noticeable. WE ARE SO HAPPY. Thank you thank you thank you. Well be back for wall and floor tile!

Disappointed. I felt they were unorganized and unprofessional, and many of the slabs available not for commercial order were hidden or nearly impossible to see. For me ended up being a waste of time.

If there were zero stars, I would give that as a rating. I would run far away from this store. They have beautiful product, but sales and over all customer service is appalling. They seem to be running a bait and switch scheme. Stone was ordered at one price, got a call saying slab cracked and they did not have more. Went to store, sales person said they would give one of the other ones quoted for the same price. Had a look and said okay, double checked it would be the same price. While writing it up, she said the price was over $400 more? Really not the same price. Then she said well you must buy the full slab, for now DOUBLE the original cost. So 3 price changes in under 15 minutes. When asking about just a refund, they want to keep the cost of measuring. Now this is their error, they cant figure out pricing and keep increasing price and still they want to charge me. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

One of the most poorly run businesses Ive ever seen. The customer service experience is laughable. Orders seem to get passed from person to person, different departments are supposed to follow-up when orders are complete and never due. I will never do business with this company again and would never recommend them to anyone. How this place manages to stay in business and seemingly thrive is beyond me. Run, dont walk to another place.

Zero stars. Same experience as many others: made appointment days in advance, arrive on time- entire staff is having an internal meeting. Made to wait half an hour, then finally receptionist invites us to look around while we are waiting. Half an hour later after wandering through deserted showrooms we left to buy our countertops elsewhere (aforementioned meeting still seemed to be in progress...). Dont even bother trying, complete waste of time.

Wish I could give ZERO stars. Nightmare! I bought tiles for a bathroom remodel and was assisted by two clueless young women (you cant just go through the store and place an order, for some reason you have to have them assist you). Right off the bat I knew they did not know anything about tiles, remodeling, construction, or anything, not knowing what a green board was, not knowing basic elements of simple projects. Still, I went along, (because that was the process) trusting there will be checks and balances after they do what they think they should do. During the order process they were chatting to each other about their upcoming weekend, uninvolved, unprofessional, no customer service. They placed the order (these tiles were an out of state order from Michigan) one made a call about one of the tiles ordered and referred to it as sand colored. These are modified tiles similar to zebra wood effect but for the bathroom. I immediately corrected her, that was not the color I was getting a dark coffee color with bluish swirls (there were only 2 choices, one light and one dark). They both said that when it comes to the order and order number it goes under the sand color. I argued that it did not make sense to order the sand when I am buying the dark brown but they insisted they were right, also, their attitude about everything was dismissive and offensive like they know what they are doing and dont ask. I left it alone, I wanted the tiles and to get out of the store. In the end sure enough they delivered the wrong tiles which my contractor picked up. Moving tiles is an arduous process, they are heavy. I only had days to complete per contractor and condo association and, due to these constraints, I ended up not using them and choosing a last minute average looking tile. I ended up at the store filthy from working, I did part of the remodel, covered in glue and choosing a last minute tile. The original tiles were supposed to be the foundation of the ultra modern look, to date, I hate my bathroom remodel because of them even though the contractors did a great job, it was a full gutting. When I showed up about the error I got the run around, the two women denied everything, they finally sent a damage control person to help me select other tiles, (this was after days) slightly higher price at no additional cost!! yes they are that cheap. I hate the higher cost tiles but the contractors were waiting, had to get them. Meanwhile, I dragged the other tiles back and forth with my contractors (I do a lot of the work myself). This store is not for an individual that is a do-it-yourselfer or working on a small project. They are rude and dismissive. It there is an error the management will run and hide. It seems if you are a developer and need material for an entire block they must use different people to work with you because I dont know how they could exist. I mean I noticed the error right away, called them on it, insisted that cant be the correct process and finally believed them. The worst part was the manager never called me back, they acted like no managers were available, gave me the run around when I needed support in the middle of a project/deadline, with their error they would not give me the time of day. There are always managers available in these stores and I knew this was a lie. Dont use them, if you run into a problem the management will hide and you have to go through unqualified people. How they can run a business is beyond me. Actually, this was years ago, looking for a different remodel and came across their website, amazing they are still in business.
