Came here with a friend that was visiting and we had the best time. The staff really took their time to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted and were super knowledgeable and fun. I’ve been to other candle bars before, and Aura by far exceeded them. A little pricey, but worth it. Highly recommend!

I had an absolute blast at Aura! The reservation process was quick and easy too. I came here on Valentines Day and my partner loved the experience. Upon arriving we were met with friendly greetings and we were walked through next steps. Next we chose our scents from their collection of about 100. Then we chose the container we wanted our candle in. Finally we got to mix our oils with the help of their guides, who helped us match our oils to make a truly unique scent for our candle! It takes about 1-2 hrs for the candles to be made so youll need to come back and pick up. Overall I would recommend Aura to anyone looking for cool date idea, could also be something of a family activity, or group outing with friends!

Aura is so much fun! My boyfriend and I made an amazing candle (olive blossom, champagne, and bamboo) and a room spray comprised of juniper (owner’s suggestion) and a few other scents. The owners are amazing and I love shopping local. I can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I walked in here today, after passing by multiple times. We finally decided to stop by and ask how it all works. Kevin helped us make our candle! He was great at explaining how the different scents work together and helped me narrow down what scent could work best for mine. So cute and fun to learn. Highly recommend for groups to do during a birthday or anniversary. You get to name your candle and choose what container it will go in. Takes from 2-5 hours to “cure” the candle and pick it up.

Aura Candle Bar is a really unique experience. The owners, Linda and Tom, are amazing and have created a real gem in a very neat part of Chicago. The space is beautiful and very inviting. Basically you get met at the entrance by one of their candle consultants. You then get to browse all of the hundred plus scents and write down your favorites, along with a vessel (or container) to hold your new candle. A word to the wise, I smelled every single scent 1 by 1, which probably isnt the best move. I over did it a bit. Consider choosing only ones you are curious or interested about. After that, you sit down and meet with one of their trained experts who will help guide you through selecting 3 final scents to produce your candle. At that point, you can walk down the block, grab a drink or bite to eat and come pickup your finished candle in about 90 mins.They also have other products like diffuser reeds, pre-made candles, etc. This is an ideal spot for a group, bachelor/bachelorette party, corporate or family outing, etc. They also are COVID safe. Aura is wonderful! Everything from the aesthetic of the store, to the quality of the product and the customer service is top notch. I would proudly take any guest to Aura for a great experience!

Came here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday and it was everything I could’ve wanted and more! Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable, and so accommodating for a couple people who were running late. I worked with Hayden and she was the best! She was super helpful, fun, and chatty, and made the whole experience extra special!

Had so much fun as a family designing our own signature scents! The owners Tom and Linda are adorable and we look forward to our next visit ❤️

My experience at Aura with Robert was absolutely fantastic! He was very knowledgeable, personable, helpful and overall awesome! This was our first time creating candles, wax melts and room sprays and it was an A+!!! If anyone Is looking for a great place with great staff and a good vibe this is the place. Also Rob and Kevin are even good with creating a good mixed playlist. Will def be back!!!!!

Really lovely experience. It’s not much time and very well priced ($34 & up for a custom candle). You get to smell lots of incredible scents and pick your favorites. Then you mix your own combination of the oils and pour your custom candle. It’s lovely, beautiful and relaxing. Definitely will do this again with people who come to visit and give it as a gift. Highly recommend people check it out. Great for the holidays!

Visited for our anniversary trip. The staff was helpful in laying out the process of choosing fragrances for the custom candle we each made. The final results were impressive!

I truly loved it. Worth every penny compared to some of the other “scent experience” stuff in Chicago. It’s free to book your time slot online and easy to do so as well. I felt safe and “hygge” the moment I got there. Everyone is so helpful and sweet. It was an amazing way to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary. Note: Candles take a couple hours to set so you come back to grab them. I will be back!

Aura is an awesome place to go and have an hour of fun. It’s unique, and it’s an opportunity to get creative and try something new. Plus, you’ll end up with a great candle. I like to burn mine when I sit down to play video games and relax

I went to Aura Candle Bar with my mom around the time when Aura first opened, and it was such a wonderful experience. The staff was helpful, provided get suggestions, and created a welcoming and warm environment. I plan on visiting again soon!

Had a wonderful time exploring the different scents and crafting my own candle, but what really set this place apart from anywhere else was the personal care from the associates and the impeccable customer service. They could give Chick-fil-A a run for their money.

My husband and I have been multiple times. It’s awesome. We’ve made candles and reed diffusers - all incredible. The staff is so nice and friendly and the atmosphere is clean, calming, and very cozy. We will be returning.

Super cute family owned candle bar in Lakeview. Very welcoming staff, hundreds of scents to choose from, and just overall a great ambiance. The beautiful interior design also adds to the experience. Im defintely coming back!

Aura is the best! Nothing else like it in town. The store is beautiful and it’s truly a create-your-own experience. There’s over 100 scents to choose from and the staff is so helpful in helping you narrow it down and create the perfect combination. Super fun experience!
