I can go on and on about the items they provide in this black owned family business. I will first say the donuts are outstanding. The popcorn I dont even know where to get started on that. and the nachos are delicious as well. Oh lets not forget the shaved ice that is literally just like snow. Outstanding customer service just overall great and kid friendly, best part everything is sold all year round as well you know I had to ask. :) If I cant physically come to the shop I will be placing an order online believe that!!!!!!!

I was at a basketball tournament last weekend in Atlanta. My daughter purchased the popcorn and we instantly fell in love. We decided to order online and the delivery was not only fast, packaging is the best & the popcorn was very fresh. Of course I ordered more this morning. You have a regular customer now!☺️

Owner is so friendly. I bought popcorn, twist donut, and tiger blood with sour apple ice that was my favorite. Please support the business not only because its black owned. The food is good and customer service is excellent.

Visited today from out of town. Usually closed by the time I come to visit. I saw the reviews online and couldn’t help but see it firsthand. The shaved ice is a dream literally snow that melts in your mouth. For the first time I had a shaved ice that wasn’t too sweet it was perfect!I enjoyed a wine cooler and coconut flavor combo. Very strong flavors. Next donuts really good and homemade super fresh and delicious. Finally the main event... Popcorn. I was offered several samples and I had to buy a bag to take home the hardest part was choosing one combo. I had the dill the hot Cheetos, the caramel and cheddar I was delighted. The popcorn is so soft and buttery and is so good! The best popcorn I’ve ever had.Do not miss out on this Chicago gem!! I will be back and let everyone know

Beyond friendly. Delicious yeast and cake donuts. Shaved ice that does NOT skimp on the syrup. Definitely going back for their popcorn. Was offered free samples, told our shaved ice included two flavors and the woman making it asked if we wanted it piled high, knowing my 5 year old probably couldnt handle it. Really great experience all the way around.

To my family, Poppin Dough is the gold standard of what Black family-owned food business should do. Reinvention (interior remodel), branding, flexibility (cycling products in/out), superior service, owner involvement, quality product (shaved ice), and a well-kept shop (clean lobby). A hidden local gem that more people should try!

All the other times I have been here I have had a good experience. But recently on 06/19/2020..I walk in automatically everything seems out of control..which was understandable because of the busy holiday. I have my order taken...had to repeat it over 3 times. I slowly get pieces of my order last thing I was waiting on was my popcorn. One of the workers call out the popcorn which was a cheese and Carmel. So I grab it because I thought it was mine but then realized someone ahead of me had that same popcorn. The lady was waiting longer than me so I gave her the popcorn to be nice. Also I ordered a large not a medium, the bag was a medium the lady before me had asked for a medium. Then the worker who was a lady proceeds to look at me like I’m crazy asking me what did I have..and why did I give it to a different customer...and then says “well that was your popcorn you might want to go see if the lady is still outside with it”. She most definitely did not have to be rude and say that. She did not take my order..so NO that wasn’t my popcorn. Cleary she was irritated and walked off from me...but she did not have to be rude especially since I was polite the whole entire time. No one can say I was rude. There were kids, my own aunt, and older adults in the building. Due to my own experiences in the food working industry i understand how your days can be hard. Which is why I always tend to be nice to all workers. To all the other adults she was nice talking to them asking how are they...but a teenager who is also supporting your business gets rude treatment... Food was very good but customer service was a big NO. So I highly doubt I will be coming back.

Nice home grown business and extremely friendly and helpful owner...Allowed samples of popcorn products.Only suggestion is to look into finding different storage containers for sample popcorn because the samples arent as fresh as they can be....Other than that the place was great....

I walked in to be greeted warmly and the experience got better from there. The young ladies were very nice. While the popcorn was my favorite, my little one enjoyed popcorn & doughnuts. Shaved ice was great too.

These donuts are so good. The cinnamon rolls is amazing. My son got the snow cone and he really enjoyed it. They also sell popcorn. I will be trying that next. I love this place 😋😋😋.

The owners and staff are the most friendly and amazing people you meet! They encourage you to sample their donuts and popcorn! You can tell they are very passionate about what they do and they do it well! I was in for the donuts and was left amazed by their popcorn, so many flavors its great! I ended up getting a dozen donuts to support them as their glazed and Boston creme donuts were off the chain! Fluffy and delicious as it should be.My family unfortunately could taste the oil tasting a bit old which I agree. If it is fresher oil, this place would get 5 stars!

I just cant get enough of the caramel cake donuts... they are my favorite. The shaved ice are very addictive because you can choose from so many flavors and the flavors are delicious and very different from any other place Ive been to. I love Poppin Dough.

The Apple Fritters are bigger than your head & simply delicious...both crispy & tender! We cut ours into 4ths. They also serve shaved ice with amazing flavor combinations. Theres something here for every taste.

Delicious. First tried them the donuts are fresh and delicious. I like cake donuts and theirs are very good especially the Carmel and Carmel donut holes. They were out of the Carmel cake donut one day so the owner told me about the donut holes, he worned me to buy the last few he had and after I tasted them when I left I was sorry I didnt listen. Great place to try, havent tried the shaved ice yet but heard the flavors are delicious as well.
