Great experience once again. Curtis was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and very patient as I found the right piece for me. It was a relaxing and pleasant experience. I also brought in a bag for a hardware repair, and the follow-up communication with Laura has been excellent. It’s quite unappealing to me when certain stores have people with snooty attitude. Not here. All very courteous and professional.

I gave one star because zero is not an option. Shopped here a couple of times - rarely had a typical average shopping experience you’d expect anywhere else. Most sales associates at this location were not even friendly, to certain extent arrogant and privileged - geez give me a break. If you’d like to spend your money and walk out with good mood, go somewhere else. Don’t bother…

Terrible service here when trying to make a purchase- I was assigned to salesmen Craig. On the “wishlist” for a bag for over 6 months. Was informed to checkin around this time- wrote him twice (me never wrote back and it’s been a month). Went into the store to check in but I was redirected to Craig. I wrote Craig once more and still he did not write back. I’m not the average person, I purchase high end items quite often as well as my family. Treating certain clients repeatedly like this is not a way to maintain brand image.

My Sales associate is Cherie who is extremely nice, elegant, knowledgeable, professional & always composed and helpful!Thanks Cherie for the offer mini Evelyn, found twilly and lipstick . My friend and I traveled from Michigan to Chicago for a girls weekend. I’ve been hunting for another perfume and I had previously tried a scent at the michigan Hermes store. Still not convinced it was a scent I loved, I decided to try the Chicago store and try another scent . We read the reviews about the rude sales associates at the Chicago store and decided to go anyway. My friend and I decided to have fun with it. we took bets regarding whoever had the rudest sales person, the other one would buy the drink. I won the drink. My sales person even rolled his eyes at me when I tried to tell him about the perfume I was currently using to give them a idea of what I liked..🤣. He was not interested and he was unapologetic. He rolled his eyes so far back it was comical. Needless to say, based on all the reviews from different Hermes stores, Its just what they do. I saw a comment defending the rudeness… she said ‘as long as you are able to afford buying any item in the store, (or something that effect,) ‘ your experience will be fine.’..wow… how sad. One of my favorite sayings is ‘In a world where you can be anything, be kind’.

If you ever want to feel like a commoner, wear your gym attire to Hermés. I shopped around for an hour, and it was as though I was invisible to the sales associates. I’ve been to many luxury stores around the world, and this was an exceptionally bad customer service experience. Even at the point of check out (and lo! actually buying something!), an associate tried to take his customer in front of me as I patiently waited in line. I politely stated, “Excuse me, I’m in line,” and when asked who had been helping me, I plainly stated, “No one.”If you ever want a healthy ego check, I 10/10 recommend leaving your Birkin at home and visiting an Hermés in your gym clothes.Two stars because Hermes is a spectacular brand, and the physical store was no exception.

Unfortunate experience thus far. I was put in contact with a rep to purchase a $12,000 USD bag, $2,000 USD shoes, and belt but after forming the relationship with him in person earlier this year to wait for these items, he has not returned my calls and texts. Very sad about the experience at this store! I expected more from the brand Hermes.In the time I have waited for a response from the rep and the store, I have purchased two Chanel handbags at $15K+ through my Chicago and West Palm Beach Reps, a Louis Vuitton Luggage Carrier from my Chicago Rep, a pair of Van Cleef Arpel Earrings and David Yurman 18k gold w/diamonds, and many more items. I could bring my business to the Hermes brand but the service is not of a high end establishment. Very unfortunate and disappointing.

I was looking for a pair of shoes for my boyfriend and couldn’t find them at my local boutique in Michigan. When I called Hermès.com they put in an inquiry at this boutique for me. A nice women named Patricia reached out to me shortly after they opened and let me know they unfortunately didn’t have the shoe I was looking for either but that she or my local store would be able to order it for me. I explained I tried asking my local store to do so but they are requesting I come in and can’t do a phone order and I work too far away to make it there on a lunch break. So Patricia said no problem she would send me a secure link to make my purchase and get the items ordered and shipped out for me. I am very thankful she was able to help me because I wanted to make sure my boyfriend received the gift before sweetest day. I will definitely reach out to this store for future purchases.

I came here a few weeks ago to have some holes added to 2 belts. The security/ doorman was very friendly and had a wonderful personality. Everyone else we came in contact with was disgustingly rude. We tried to purchase something, and they told us no.Could you imagine having them pull something out of the case for you, having it in your hands, saying Ill take it, then them saying no? Well, come here, and thats the kind of service you receive! Its not like I hadnt ever purchased anything from Hermes before. I am an actual customer with 5-6 of their pieces. When we go on a Chicago shopping trip, we spend more than these rude stuffy sales associates make in a year. Customer service is dead, especially here.

I have been a fan of their women fragrance line for years and within the lasts twenty years or so I have bought most of their women fragrance line. Most bigger retailers here either sell some of their Colognes or none at all, with that being said I decided to come and give the boutique a try. Great looking store, no appointments needed and YAY!! The Sales Advisor, after I had to approach someone and wasn’t approached first or even asked, “ If I needed any help!!” was extremely helpful and patient. She was patient because somehow my credit card was HACKED by someone and I wasn’t being allowed to charge or credit my purchase in the store. If I had known my CC was going to be HACKED by a couple of WELL KNOWN STALKERS I wouldn’t of used my credit card at all and paid totally by cash. It wasn’t like I didn’t have the money to pay for my purchase, this is why I went to the ATM to begin with before entering the store. But if I have the choice to DO one or the other, this woman, meaning me should be allowed to do so without the interference and the nastiness of a well known HACKER!! I had to apologize continuously to the Sales Advisor for the mishap and rudeness of the HACKER that allowed me to get embarrassed in a HIGH END retailer like Hermès. The HACKER has to be dealt with and will be, by me because their continued need to make high end retailers look like A HOT BED OF MESS has got to STOP!! The HACKER made CHANEL look like a HOT MESS on Thursday and now this incident with Hermès. All in all, it was a pretty decent experience and I will go back for all my fragrance needs. Thanks!!!

Store is appointment only and they give you a phone number. I called the phone number several times during business hours and always get voicemail. No one ever calls me back to make an appointment. I live a few blocks away and have only shopped at other locations when Im on vacation, because this location is impossible to deal with.

I wanted to buy scarves for my mom and mother-in-law-to-be, and came to Hermes. Luckily I could make a same-day appointment. John Vazquez was our sales rep and he was AMAZING. He showed me at least 30 scarves, folding all of them to see what they look like when folded. We also had tons of other questions and wanted to see other products, and he took care of them so well and was so nice. This was my first visit to Hermes store ever and now I have such great experience and memory about the brand. Cant wait to give the gifts to my mom and mother-in-law-to-be. Thanks John! :)

Hermes sells the most beautiful luxury accessories in the world. Their leather goods and scarves are simply stunning, and will last a lifetime. Everything they sell is top quality, elegant, and timeless. Don’t get caught up in whether the customer service was to your high standards. I just spent ten minutes wandering around this store. There were half a dozen sales associates and they all ignored me and spoke only to customers who entered over the age of 40 or were obviously from overseas. As someone dressed reasonably well for weekend shopping and 30 years old, there is absolutely no excuse. I will take my $400 scarf budget across the street. Never again.

I was on vacation in October, and I was really nervous about coming into the store. I was not treated very well at the other two locations I visited, the DC store -near my home and the Boston store. The Sales Specialist there were not helpful or pleasant.John V. genuinely seems to care about the brand and its customers. I didnt feel rushed, or like I was bothering him. I felt like I was the ONLY person in the room. He is the example every Hermes Sales Specialist should strive to be.I will continue to keep in touch with John and fly to the Chicago store just for his service.I hope someone from Hermes will speak to him personally to let him know that his exceptional customer service has not gone unnoticed.

This is not your average store. Just make sure youre well dressed and have some attitude and people will take you seriously. Amazing, high quality goods--but you obviously dont have to read this to know this. The packaging and the appeal is five stars. The prices on some items--like the alligator skinned Birkin will make your heart drop. But this is worth a stop.

I like this Chicago Hermes store and it has good scarf selection including the extraordinary one (beaded cashmere) All staffs are helpful, if I just drop in and my SA Eleva is busy with other customers, other staffs like Craig and others offer me a help. Nice staffs, high quality and beautiful products.

Pamela was my SA via a phone purchase for a new leather strap for my Cape Cod watch. When she returned my call and it was my turn, she gave me 100% of her time and attention and seemed eager to help me find a Birkin in the right size and color. She was very friendly and professional. The worse customer experience we ever encounter at the boutique on 7/27/19. We ask Pam a SA for Evelyn TPM size she right away with aptitude and a tone told us they dont have any didnt offer us how we can get one maybe phone order through any other of they boutiques. Then we ask for a birkin 25 togo leather she got mad and said I dont have any she only have size 30 in croco leather. Then we proceed to go to the second floor we over heard SA offering a birkin 25 and birkin 30 to another client that she right away declined. 2 other customers were there asking for a birkin 30 they were told they didnt have any and the said that is a waiting list for 12 months. My point is the lies and inconsistency that SA are telling clients at the boutique the bad aptitude and demeanor changing when we ask for specific item. Obviously you dont care at all about customer experience. I even sent an email to Hermes the same day complaining about the horrible experience and I am still waiting for a call back about this.

Since the staff at this Hermes decided to treat me like I wasnt worth helping, I went to Louis Vuitton and bought a beautiful silk scarf!

I had an awful experience here. I waited over an hour for someone to open the case for me to see the pocket squares. The security guard was fantastic! He kept profusely apologizing for the long wait and was very friendly so the stars are for him. Then after waiting nearly an hour the manager comes and he’s like asking weird personal questions about religion and politics. Like I’ve been waiting an hour, i don’t know you and don’t want to discuss this with you. If these weren’t a gift for someone else, i would’ve left.

Hands down the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in a luxury store. I have certainly been looked up and down before in luxury stores across America, and judged by sales people for what they presumed to be my income bracket. This is always frustrating, however, it has never EVER risen to the level of sales staff rolling their eyes at me and making snippy and rude remarks to my face, indicating that I was not worth their time because it didnt look it (mind you, the store was absolutely empty at this point). Why would I ever spend thousands of my hard earned dollars to pay the salaries of people that feel entitled enough to treat me this way? (Especially when they themselves dont even earn enough to dream of shopping at these stores???). Super disappointed, but Oh well. I definitely took my money elsewhere and was glad to SpEnD sPeNd SpEnD to support brands and staff that were happy for my business.My friends from out of town have often asked that I drop by the Hermes to grab them things but I ALWAYS refuse. I am not ever setting foot in this store again. Id rather take the disrespect of the randoms on the L than the rudeness of these sales people.

I dont usually write reviews but this experience was so bad that I just had to. Their polices are absolutely insane and are clearly geared at trying to stay elite at the price of customer service. My goal was simple, buy a belt for my daughter for her 16th birthday. On line shop did not have her belt size so I called the Chicago store. They refused to sell me the belt over the phone and insisted I had to come in. Since I live and work in the suburbs this was no easy task (particularly without my daughter). Finally, yesterday I made it to the store - after calling ahead to make sure they still had what I needed. First, no one greeted us or asked if they could help find something. Finally, when I asked I was told the belts were upstairs. Upstairs I only could find one sales person who said she could not help me because she was the watch manager and I needed the belt manager. She did not know were the belt manager was or when she would be back. When I asked to have her paged she stated that she should be back soon. After about 8 minutes I decided to leave and just then the belt manager appeared. The belt/buckle I was told over the phone, they had, they did not have. She suggested I buy another and then exchange it - but only within 30 days. My daughters birthday is at the end of April (60 days) and they said there was really nothing I could do but come back in April. I asked, since I was now in the store if they could just mail me one in a few weeks. Nope - against their policy. She said there is too much theft in the mail. I mentioned their internet site mails and she just said well the stores dont. Asked if she could call or check with others stores for the right buckle. Nope- against their policy. Asked if she could check when the gold version was set to come in. Nope - apparently no way to know. Asked if I could have an exchange extension. Probably not - against policy but I could take it up with the manager. Asked if I could just buy the belt and then get the buckle on line. (on line had buckle I wanted but not the size belt - store had opposite issue) Nope - you can buy the belt separate but must buy the buckle with a belt. Also, apparently stores dont work with the on line supply?? Asked since I had now come to the store, could the sales clerk Eleva Singleton just call me when the buckle I wanted came in. Nope - you guessed it, against their policy. My favorite part of all of these, is when I questioned all of these ludicrous policies I was told it was for my own protection and to ensure the integrity of their designs. Has anyone at Hermes been on the internet? There are millions of fakes of this exact belt everywhere. Why are you not trying to stop that instead of the sale of the real ones? My advise - that there are lots and lots of high end stores with great customer service that are more than happy to be nice to you while you buy and absurdly expense belt or other product. My friend who was with me warned me not to cut off my nose to spite my daughters face. She had a good point but I think I maybe I will teach her the value of good customer service and let her suffer with something cute from Tiffanys. If you want to feel like you are in the Hermes version of Sienfelds Soup Nazi - this is your store. In my case it was no belt for you!.
