The personal at this location lacks soft skills, I felt like begging for a favor instead of being treated like a appreciated customer. I think talking to a stranger in the street would have been a better experience. After that everything was fine with the vehicle and the app.I will NOT be using the in person service at this store anymore and recommend other users to go with the app DIRECTLY. The app won’t be rude to you.

Location closed at least 10 minutes before their posted closing time, probably more. Wouldn’t let me in to purchase a mattress bag which shouldn’t have taken more than 2 minutes. I understand people want to leave early but this is a chain, not a small business.

Worst customer experience I had in almost a decade in the US.This was my 3rd time booking a U-Haul, I booked online, selected the internal driver license option, mentioned it was a French driver license, everything was fine. I showed to the desk to get my truck and the guy at the desk could not validate my driver license because it did not have an expiration date (which is standard for French driver licenses).After a ridiculous exchange:- Staff: I cant find you expiration date on your license- me: ho yes, French driver licenses dont have one- Staff: I need one, I cant do anything about it- me: this is the 3rd time I booked with you, my license is valid, just doesnt have a expiration date, usually your coworkers would put a random one- Staff: I cant do thatand the guy literally work away from me without telling me what to do, reaching to his manager for approval, or support service from U-Haul (not cancelling my booking either, he just left...)I call the support on my own initiative and they say just enter a random date, if the front desk can validate that you are the right person on the driver license it should be OKSupport tried to call the front desk to explain that and I had to go to the service area to let them know Support was reaching out to them and the phone was literally ringing at the moment, the guy went to pick it up, asked the support to call him back to the back room. Then told me We cant do anythingI am still confused on why I was left hanging like that and at this point I believe it became a matter of pride and not being willing to change their initial assessment of the situation.For future improvement I like U-Haul not to let people with French driver license to book from their website/app or teach their staff under what situation they can override their default process of I need an expiration date

Rented a truck to move between apartments. Reserved about a month in advance. Had no issues with anything, the whole process was smooth including getting the keys with a bit of verification as expected. Truck was great and the exact one reserved. The turn in process was great as well since we had someone come right to us as we parked and verified everything including the final cost within a few minutes.Was hesitant at first because of poor reviews I’ve read but it seems this place has taken those into account and really stepped things up!

I am writing to complain about a xenophobic employee at this location. On Saturday, 3/13 my husband tried to rent a uhaul, but he does not have a US license (which hasnt been a problem in the past as there is always an international license option and we have rented a uhaul before and can prove that). As his license is foreign and does not have an expiration number, there was difficulty entering it into the computer under the prompt expiration date. The employee said he couldnt rent the uhaul and there was nothing he could do. My husband asked the employee for a manager. The employee said he cant talk to a manger because the manager would say the same thing. He called Uhaul support and support said to enter any date into the computer since it is a computational error. The employee then asked to speak with the support person. He took the phone into the back room and when he re-emerged the support person said there was nothing more that could be done and the employee refused to enter an alternate expiration date and re-iterated he cant rent a uhaul. It is hard to understand why the empoyee was so adamant about refusing my husbans business. I am making a complaint to U haul and I hope this gets addressed.

Nope. Will not ever use uhaul again. They give the truck less than a quarter full, the emergency number took over half an hour to reach someone, the app didnt work, the worker literally said oh just download the app, it will work. Then it didnt so after 39 in waiting, finally got someone and she told us if was because the gos only ready if youre in a parking lot...how does a company app not work if were not in the parking lot, that makes no sense. Also not even close to what the other guy said. Told we could not modify our reservation when stuck in a blizzard and all we wanted to do was return it closer. TERRIBLE service, they dont listen but give generic answers.

I had a very bad time here both with the service and employees. I showed up at 11 am and was not given my keys until 11:55 am. This was due to them allowing me to rent a broken van and deciding to help others who came into the store after I did. The contact-less pickup is a joke. I had to be in contact with three separate employees to get my van and none of them social distanced. The General Manager has also been unresponsive in my attempts to contact him about resolving an issue with my rental. They claim I never returned my van even though I returned it 10 minutes early and before closing. No service member, manager, or employee has been helpful to me. Truly an awful time and an awful place. Just rent a van. Seriously it is so much easier and can be a lot cheaper because U-Haul adds on many extra expenses, even if you do not buy any of the extra equipment.

Rasheed went above and beyond for us by installing a hitch to our vehicle so we could pull a cargo trailer truck across country. However, when we hooked up the cargo trailer to our vehicle, neither of our blinkers would work. Rasheed was able to switch out the wiring for us so we could drive safely. Very friendly and prompt customer service.

Avoid this place if you can. I rented a 20’ truck yesterday and returned it after hours. I get a call from a very rude employee this morning (wouldn’t give me his name) accusing me of not returning the keys. I call him back and he insists I did not return them then rudely hung up on me. I had to travel from the south loop back up north to speak with him only to be dismissed. I had to call corporate to file a complaint and lo and behold the keys must have just magically appeared because I just received the final receipt. Please don’t blame your stores incompetence on the costumers.

I think it was my worst moving experience using this site. I had put in for the rental about a month in advance. I set it for 6:30AM since there was the option to book it prior to the building opening. I pull up my email and my time was changed to 7AM. Not their fault. But when I asked a worker about it, he just said “you have to wait.” Well, yeah I’m aware. But I’m wondering why their site is set for allowing rentals before opening? I was able to finally leave at 7:45AM with my rental. There was supposed to be a dolly ready for me. There was none. I let them know, and they said to call U-haul, which I did to no avail did I receive anything back. I was also charged double since I went over the four hour mark by about 20 minutes. I would not recommend this site unless you are okay with waiting and mediocre help.

Well to start after reserving my truck weeks in advance I was called a couple days before my move to inform me that they did not have a truck of that size available. I got a much smaller truck which required me to make multiple trips between locations costing me gas and time. Then I call in A DAY EARLY to return my truck at a different location (the same one I picked it up from) and the customer service rep says Youre good to go! And and guess what! I have charge fore dropping it off at the wrong location! I call u-haul to get it refunded. After waiting for 25 minutes I get the first lady Ill have to transfer you to customer service hangs up. I call back in wait another 15 minutes on hold and that lady tells me to kick rocks! What a scam! #u-haullife!

I reserved a truck from this location 3 weeks ago. Today I went in my account and changed my dolly preference then received a voicemail that i dont have a truck at this anymore and need to drive 30 minutes outside the city to get the truck and that it wouldnt even be guaranteed that I would have one. No way am I driving that far that early for something thats not even guaranteed. When i spoke to the woman with customer service she was sympathetic but couldnt do anything. No im not paying extra mileage, gas, etc. for a mix-up I didnt cause. I reserved that far in advance to ensure something like this wouldnt happen. This ridiculous situation confirmed that I will no longer be utilizing U-haul moving forward and will be telling all my friends who are moving to use Penske or another truck company that can actually make the moving experience less stressful. They were so shook by the terrible service I received that they threw in dolly for free. Thats customer service. Fix your online reservation system or dont be in business.

Needed a large tv box urgently for a move. Searched online and they were listed as having at least 3 in stock. Reserved it plus a couple other boxes online, for in store pick up the next day. Came the next day and the guy looked up my order and then went around the store to gather the boxes - so they clearly hadnt reserved anything for me. And they were sold out of the TV box, which screwed me for my move. Two stars because the guy was nice and did try to be helpful.

SAVE YOURSELF SOME HEADACHE! I used this particular U-Haul location because it was closest to my home but, and for a very short trip to pick up and deliver a large mirror. I noticed that the mileage was listed in Kilometers rather than in miles and took a picture (as it was indicated as the true miles on my contract) in case there was some confusion. I drove about 20 Kilometers which comes out to roughly 13 miles and indicated the wrong setting and was told it would be adjusted; it was not and I was charged for 20 miles. I went back on two occasions told that only the General Manager could change it, called the guy twice on his cell phone and contacted U-Haul Corp. He told Corporate he would call me and never did. Now it was only $8 additional cost but, this could simply not be an oversight as you send these trucks out for successive customers all the time. The point being if your advertise you charge $.69 per mile and you charge that at the Kilometer than you are charging an added 40% or around $1.00 per mile which is just outright fraudulent. Buyer beware.

I had an absolutely awful experience at this Uhaul location. It took over an hour to just pick up my van, and then when we were finally going to get the keys we were informed that the van they had reserved for us was broken. The employees went back and forth, one saying it was broken, another saying it wasnt. When we were finally able to get into a new moving van we were already 1 and half hours into our reservation. We returned the van before our reservation ended directly to an employee. Today I received a call asking where the van we rented was, which was stressful and shocking to put it mildly. This is still an unresolved issue, after playing phone tag with both the location we got the van from and various customer support agents we received the General Managers number and have yet to receive a response. I suggest going to a different service or at least a different Uhaul location. This has been a nightmare.

Have a great experiences here. I reserves cargo van online and no problem. Place was clean and organized and services are excellent here. Pick the car up and out in 30 minutes. Four stars because no short time customer parking. Kind of hard to get street parking.

I went into the store to purchase boxes last month prior to moving across the country and the employee accidentally charged my card twice. Which would not be a big deal, except apparently only the manager (Rasheed Wade) can issue a refund for this. He has been completely unresponsive to phone calls and emails from both myself and UHaul’s customer service. I have since moved out of state and have no way to go back to the store to be refunded for this charge. Manager of this location has horrible customer service.

Renting was easy enough. Found a homeless person’s camp in the back of the truck. Cleaned hat up. Got the entire truck loaded and it wouldn’t start. Snow was coming down like crazy and below freezing temps. Luckily I was only a block from the store. Tried to call to see if they’d come to the apartment with jumper cables. They wouldn’t answer the phone. So we drove to the store, they told us they didn’t have jumper cables 😒🙄 REALLY?! 50ish trucks and no jumper cables?! Yeah... right. Finally, the staff magically found some jumper cables after us having to be rude to the staff and call them on the BS about not having any jumper cables. Tried calling this store this morning 5 times, no answer. So, Called UHAUL customer service only to find out the store charged us for in town rental despite us stating that we were going 25 miles away from the store. So, in order to get any compensation for our trouble we had to drive the truck back to the store. Got to the store. An extremely long line with only one person working. BONUS: While in line, overheard a man yelling at employees that he only made it two blocks away before his trailer hitch FELL OFF! Overheard again that they forgot to put a pin in the hitch 🤦🏼‍♀️ WOULD NOT recommend this location.

Although we were a little late returning the vehicle and had gone a few more miles than we thought we were not charged extra. Will use this location again for sure.

Great experience here. Saturday in the middle of Chicago moving season and this whole team is hustling to get people taken care of. Everyone is friendly and helpful. They had to make some changes to accommodate our needs and they did this quickly and smoothly. There are several other Uhaul locations closer to us, but we will come back to this one.

This was a horrible experience. If possible go somewhere else. We rented a small truck to move my daughter. We also received the name of their recommended movers. We paid the movers in advance $270 for 2 hours of moving. When we went to pick up our truck we waited in line 1/2 an hour for a 2:00 pickup. The man who finally waited on us never looked at us and barely talked to us. He frequently went and helped other employees with their customers. He would not accept my daughters drivers license. ( DMV closed due to COVID) so she just has the paper form. He did not explain the contract at all. Our truck was not ready and we needed a new truck. This whole fiasco caused our movers ( the ones they recommended) to wait at our residence. The movers still only wanted to give us our alotted 2 hours despite the debacle at UHaul which detained us. We were told prior that if the time went longer we would not have to pay more. The movers wanted to leave my daughter and I alone to unload because our time had run out. This was due to the UHaul folks who they contract with! I had to tip very heavy to get them to stay and help. At the end of this when I returned the truck I was reprimanded by a male employee at UHaul because I didnt park the truck in the right spot which was about 10 feet away under the awning. He threatened to charge me another day if I didnt move it. As if moving isnt stressful enough- avoid these unfriendly and unhelpful people.

Rude and threatening employees. 2 of them working Monday 7-20. One in equipment return on his phone was threatening in manner. Other one at desk with glasses inside also was extremely rude and glared at me when I was talking. Embarrassing for uhaul to employ these to individuals.

I filled the tank to 1/4 level as required and the needle was right on the 1/4 mark, they still insisted that it was 1/8. I was charged $30 extra for that even though I showed them the receipt of gasoline I filled just before I returned the vehicle. A very deceiving practice. Beware! take a photo of everything before you leave the station. They are very tricky!

I booked an 8x8x6 storage unit online that I prepaid for and arrived to a lock on my unit saying rent was unpaid, even though I was emailed a receipt. Turns out they ran out of the larger unit I ordered and put me in a smaller 4x8 unit without even notifying me ahead of time WITHOUT CHANGING THE PRICE. Manager wasn’t at the location so I couldn’t cancel the reservation for the locker I didn’t even book or get a refund. Do yourself a favor and just find another place to take your business.

Rented a van and was provided an estimated cost. Van had previous damages. During the rental time we were not able to close the side door due to the previous damages. We bungee corded the door to keep it closed. Upon returning the van under the 4 hour contracted time with more gas than required, we received no discount for the inconvenience. Actually charged $10 more than the estimate. Next day received an email to provide a review. Tried 5 days in a row to submit the review which was poor however it never was completed because there was an error in our submission. Isnt that ironic that U-Haul is gating the reviews so they dont receive any bad reviews. Never using U-Haul again!

Reserved the truck online the day before and my husband went to pick up the truck took him over 30 min to get the truck. They said they couldn’t start the reservation later because we reserved it at 7 according to Froedge. Then, my husband had to use his card to pay for the truck although they asked for my card online. Then they said it was 100 dollar deposit which was never stated online. Customer service was horrible and the process was lengthy. Never had to pay a 100 dollar deposit in at the Forest Park uhaul.

I called in yesterday to make an appointment to install a hitch. I was told over the phone twice by two separate employees that I could have it done by the end of the day. I came in earlier than scheduled to have it installed. I had a time time sensitive task today and was told that the only way to have the hitch installed on time was to leave it there overnight. This was a burden, because I am a ride share driver and that meant a night of lost income. I left it there because I didn’t have any other options. The work was still not completed when I came in today. I paid for the work and was told that it would be ready in 20 mins. This was cutting it close, but workable. I waited in the office for 2 hours before I was taken into the back to find that the installer had cut into every single one of my tail light wires and still hadn’t finished the job. I was also told that pieces were removed from the undercarriage of my car last night.I had to cancel my time sensitive task and reschedule my trailer rental. It’s been 3 hours since then. I still haven’t received my car, I’m out hundreds of dollars, my wiring is damaged and don’t know where the pieces are from my car that were removed.

I have always come here for my U-Hauls.Easiest thing to do is, order online then go pick up. Be aware that if you move on the 1st, 15th, or last day of the month it will be busy. Other people are moving. People seem to always be in there complaining about them not having trucks when I would go in to buy tape or something. Well, you came in last minute, all the trucks are rented and out at that time, so what do you expect?Added tip; you can also hire help online when you checkout. I’ve used it and never had a problem.The only downside is the aggressive men out front who yell at you asking, “you need help moving?” They have come up to my truck door before. It’s a little much as you are trying to get out on the tight street with a big truck or van.

Rented a truck from U-Haul, packed everything up and moved perfectly. Dropped truck off after only having it for two days with no issues. Then we get a notice that we had not returned the truck and were told we had stolen the truck. After clearing things up with them they said it was no problem only to find out they took 204 extra out of our account and still want another 400. Were being penalized because of their staff mistakes... never again will we use U-Haul

This place was right down the street from my new apartment. I used their moving truck to life my belongings and embarked on what I consider to be the most stressful move ever. For starters, the reservation for the truck was confirmed as in stock. When I arrived, they didn’t have a truck for me. As a substitute, they wanted to provide me with a huge truck. I declined and told them they need to provide me with a equal substitute. I waited for an hour in the heat, outside, while they scurried looking for a truck. Ultimately I was turned down and devastated because I was supposed to be moving. I went back the next day after booking online and getting confirmation and they finally had a truck for me. No apologies from uhaul at all.

Rasheed and his whole team at the Uptown U-Haul location are amazing! I got a hitch installed on my car at this location as well as rented a trailer for my move from Chicago to Philadelphia. They made sure everything was perfect for us and educated us on the trailer since it was our first time hauling anything with my SUV. The entire process was smooth and all the employees were super friendly. I would absolutely recommend this location for all of your U-Haul needs!

U-Haul has been the worst experience of my relocation process. I called them over (1) month ahead of time to reserve a truck and I was told everything would be OK. I wanted to rent a truck for 3 days and I was completely willing to pay for the truck the entire time however that was not acceptable for the customer service rep from this U-Haul location. She was the most rude person who I have ever talk to. She said that U-Haul can not rent me a truck for 3 days because it is there busiest time of the year and other people need the truck. To my shock, she canceled my reservation with out my approval or a willingness to negotiate with me for a new truck or at least a new location where I could pick up a different the truck. After this experience, I will never use U-haul again

I use a 9 van from these guys a few times a year to move some DJ gear. Order online, use the express check-in, then show up and collect your truck. No hidden fees or charges or surprises. Do yourself a favor and take the $10 insurance so you dont worry about someone hitting you (its Chicago, someones going to hit you).Super fast, super friendly, super helpful.

If I could rate it lower than 1 star, I would. Dont use U-Haul, EVER! You reserve for a fixed time online and they email you saying you will be contacted THE DAY OF for your pick-up location and time. This never happened. I had to call them because it was 1pm and no one had called me for my pick-up time and location. They told me that I was scheduled to pick up at 1pm and I could not have the van for 24 hours as I requested online. This place is a scam. Dont believe anything youre told online. Hell, dont use these guys. Pay a little more and go with Penske or Enterprise even. Disgusted.

Against better judgment and suggestion, we went to Uhaul for a hitch and harness on our SUV. The wiring was faulty, causing two major electrical failures. I spent two full days going to Uhaul for them to fix it - neither of which worked, and the third time they told me to have a professional look at it and gave me their insurance provider to have it fixed because the work/installation came with a warranty. Since they were unable to fix it, the warranty would cover the work. I went to their provider, Repwest, and they refused to cover any repairs, but did offer to pay for the blown fuse. DO NOT go to UHAUL. There are WAY TOO MANY solid PROFESSIONALS out there who will do the work right. Uhaul did a garbage job on our car, then sent us to a professionally fraudulent insurance company.

When I tell you that U-Haul does not care about you PLEASE listen to me. I reserved a 15ft Truck on 5/28/19 for this coming weekend (6/29/19), Reserving the truck was quick and easy, no issues. Call them this past weekend (6/22/19) regarding truck, confirm day and even ask if I could adjust time (so I could have a 2 hour later pick up) and representative confirms it’s ok and makes change for me, friendly service with no issue. I get a phone call this afternoon (6/25/19), no truck will be available for the reservation that was made for this Saturday (the day I have to be out of my apartment). They state they don’t have any other size trucks available and that the only other available location is 12 miles away in the south side of chicago. The extremely unhelpful rep tells me they will give me $50 for the inconvenience, which would maybe cover the cost of an uber to get me down to pick up the truck. I ask if they will cover the difference in mileage from the new location to original location (as I am only moving 0.5 miles from my current apartment and the original U-Haul is only 0.7 miles from my current location) to which she declines and explains there is nothing else she can do. All of this 4 days before I am set to move when I made a reservation 4 weeks ago. Then lady gives corporate office number, speak with a representative who emphasizes but has no solution or offers any help to correct the situation. Now I frantically spent my afternoon looking for an alternate truck rental company. I have ended up going with Penske, and due to short notice am paying double what I was quoted with U-Haul. Do yourself a favor and go with someone else for your moving needs, ANYONE else actually. Horrible experience, horrible customer support.

I live in the neighborhood and this UHaul has about 10 dudes that sit out front every day ostensibly to offer moving services. Usually they are friendly although I dont believe Ive ever seen anyone hire them. However, there are times that it is very unnerving to have them accost you as you walk down the street or surround you as you exit your vehicle asking for money... Sometimes they even ask what I have in the bags Im carrying. As a woman alone it is uncomfortable and I really think UHaul should be doing more to ensure they arent loitering and panhandling in front of their business.

The worst! Stay away from these idiots. Three times I had an appointment for a trailer hitch install - three times they couldnt find the parts. But each time before I actually drove over to get the install done I called to verify that they had the parts, and each time I was assured that this time they really did. The last time they tried to substitute the wrong wiring harness, one that cost 1/3 of the part that I ordered and paid for. Ignorance, thievery or they just dont care. The net effect is the same. Stay away!

Long story short for those of you who dont want to read this entire review - Uhaul sucks and will never guarantee a reservation because they only care about making money. They dont care about whether or not they service you well. Frankly, they dont care about you at all.For those of you who like to read long, scathing reviews, I digress.I had an awful time with the reservation I made a month and a half before my move. Everything was squared away and I had my 20 truck ready to go for a 9AM appointment on June 29th. Two days before my reservation, I called to make sure everything was still scheduled, and of course, it was not. Thank God I called. They started with telling me that reservations are not guaranteed because they purposely overbook so they dont lose business. After this wonderful screw up, I finally got someone on the phone to get me a reservation for the same day at noon. When I asked them to confirm the reservation after our 15 minute conversation, the reservation was made for an entirely different city at an entirely different time on an entirely different day. Absolutely the worst customer service of all time. Once I finally picked up my uhaul, they didnt have any furniture pads even though I paid for them and reserved them. They asked if I would like to return the uhaul to the same location, and I said yes. Then we talked about how I would return it if I was done after-hours, and I signed off and left. After the move, I went to drop off the uhaul at the same facility as previously stated, and when I went through the check-out process, I was told I had to bring the uhaul to an entirely different location in River North Chicago. I will never use uhaul ever again. I will make sure that none of my friends or family ever uses uhaul again. This was the worst possible experience I have dealt with moving from one apartment to another.

Bad attitude, no customer service experience at all, the guy yelled at another customer and continued to text on his phone while we waited over half an hour while he took care of one customer, if he dont like his job maybe he should just quit, we stood and waited only because we needed a truck, but next time Ill be going to another place as long as this guy is working their, sorry for this company. I have seen some really awful Uhaul places, but this place had their logistics down and the staff was great. Note, I booked on what they said is 1 of 2 of the busiest days of the year. The staff hustled and kept it positive despite being a you know what show for traffic.

I bought most of my supplies here for my last two moves. I also dropped off my rental here when I moved into town. I dont have anything negative to say about this place and my experience was just fine. The staff was professional and prices are fair. Moving is never a good experience for me though. So I associate places like that with some of those negative feelings. I still live in the neighborhood and will probably buy my supplies form them again.

The attendants will rip you off at this location!!!I rented a Uhaul today and drive a total of 5 miles. When I rented the vehicle I was asked to sign the agreement prior to ever seeing the vehicle and the agreement said that the vehicle was 7/8 full. When I reached the vehicle I noted that the vehicle was actually slightly below 7/8 and commented the same to the attendant who remarked well its closest to 7/8ths.I then used the car a total of 5 miles and then put 5 dollars of gas (1.5 gallons) into the car which was in fact more than what I had driven.Upon returning the vehicle I then noted to the attendant that I had put 5 dollars of gas into the vehicle and that it was still slightly under 7/8ths, which was where it was when I had rented it.I now see that the attendant had placed the gas tank at 6/8ths which IS IN FACT NOT where the tank was registering, and charged me 99 dollars to put gas in the tank!!! I have been charged a refilling fee of which is completely unjustified!! And for a RIDICULOUS amount of money!!These guys are thieves. There are lots of other truck rental places. Go somewhere else!!!

I am rating this place for the propane refill service. I do not like to do the exchange of the tank because the tanks you get are only 60 percent full. You can take your tank and have them refill it to the top and you only get charged for what they added. So take your tank here and fill it before your tank is empty and your left with half cooked food.

Good experience. I have used them 3 times over the years to rent trucks and dolleys. I have had a easy time every time and would highly recommend them. Make a reservation online first if you are doing a truck as they will rent out in the summer. They also have onsite storage options and sell boxes and other moving supplies.

Be prepared for a loooooong wait if you order a truck near the 1st of the month. Ordering a few weeks in advance is your best bet, and arrive 15-20 minutes before your pickup time if youre on a tight schedule on moving day. Dont expect to get a truck same day from this location.

This is the most incompetent and unprofessional uhaul location I have ever rented from. They are staffed by some of the slowest workers who will try to screw you over with bs charges at any chance. My recently rental from here was one of the worst experiences that has continued into the following weeks. First off, I arrived at the location early so I could get moving as soon as possible. It took 45 minutes for me to get my truck and I was the only person there. Once I got my truck, they asked me to check to make sure it was ok. I noticed immediately that the fuel mileage was incorrectly reported as over 7/8 a tank when it was actually 3/4. I notified the employee and he told me he would write it down and I was good to go. When I reached my apartment and opened the truck, the dolly I had requested was missing and the furniture pad bag was opened. I called and reported this immediately and they assured they would take the charges off. After completing the move, I filled up the tank with 3 gallons of gas. I had traveled 15 miles. The truck gets 9 mpg. I figured I had filled the tank with more than enough but that’s where the trouble started. After returning the truck, I look at my bill and see an additional $90 in charges. They ended up double charging me for the dolly, charged $26 in gas plus a $60 service charge for the refill. The attendant who said that he would correct the tank level discrepancy never did so and I have close to $100 dollars in incorrect charges to my card. When I contact customer service, they provide little to no assistance and keep telling me the manager of the branch will contact me which has not happened. I have called the manager and left voicemails but nothing has come of it. I am planning to go to the branch to see if I can get them to refund me by going in person. These are horrible people and I implore everyone to avoid this branch at all costs. Pay more for a better service. It will be worth it in the end. Uhaul does not care about customers, they care about your money and how to swindle the most out of you followed by horrible customer service so you will give up on fighting for your money back. Don’t let these thieves win!

Workers stole personal items from the Uhaul I was using. They stated that we could keep the Uhaul overnight in their parking lot and we could get it in the morning. When I went to pick up the truck, all of my personal items were stolen. The manager stated he would call me back but never did. I will never use Uhaul again. Even their customer service was awful. I called and told them the problem and the lady said “I’m surprised they let you keep the Uhaul there.” Zero interest in the fact that my stuff was stolen.

Horrible!!!! Reserved a truck at this location. They told me that someone would call me back to let me know when to pick it up. I was clear that I needed to pick it up between 7 PM - 8 PM, and they said that was fine, they dont close until 8PM. However, nobody called me back, so I had to call U-haul customer service, give my reservation #. From customer service I found out that this location, reserved my truck at another location (not near my home), and additionally the other location closes at 7PM. This place is run by schmucks. Hope they go out of business.

I have never had a good experience with U-Haul, but this location by far, has been the worst. I booked the truck I needed for 24 hours, and showed up almost 30 minutes early the day of my reservation to make sure it would be ready to go. Thank goodness I showed up when I did, because I waited in line for over an hour to even be able to speak with a customer service representative. I understand Saturday is their busiest day of the week, but waiting to speak to anyone for that long is just unacceptable.Once I had finally gotten through the line and was escorted outside to my van, I realized upon checking the van for knicks/dents and the gas gauge, (ALWAYS DO THIS BEFORE YOU LEAVE OR THEY WILL FIND A WAY TO CHARGE YOU) that the tank was not completely full as the paperwork stated. I asked the employee to make a note of this on the paperwork. He initialed it and said he would inform the office right away. Obviously, this did not happen, as I was charged a very large fee for not returning the van with a full tank of gas. It took me two days and multiple rounds of phone calls to get the charges reversed on my credit card, and I never received even a simple apology from the company.I hope I dont have to move again for quite some time, but if I do, it wont be with U-Haul.

Theyre not great, but not terrible either. Though their counter staff never seems to be in a great hurry to help you and their loaders need to be a good deal more physically strong and have THE WORST spatial relations skills, they do have a wide variety of moving supplies in stock and I never leave empty handed.

Less than 1 day prior to our move, this location notified me that I would not be able to do a ONE WAY move, as I had reserved 2 weeks before. This resulted in me having to drive back into the city, something I did not want to do.Upon returning the truck, I was looked on my emailed receipt and noticed a 25$ cleaning fee. After calling to inquire, they said I did not fold the blankets I had rented. I couldnt believe they would charge 25$ for something so stupid. The guy on the phone, Luiz, said he couldnt do anything about it, despite Uhaul already screwing up my reservation with making me drive back into the city.Hey Luiz, your location is getting terrible reviews on google and yelp, perhaps customer service should be held with a little higher regard at your location.

Use another service. Try anything else, but dont use u-haul. Seriously. We made a reservation a month ahead of time. Had to call the day before to confirm because their idea of a 24 hour call is after 6pm the day before. We had a short window to use the elevator in our apartment building- from 8-12. Called customer service the day prior they said to be at a certain location at 9am. We got text confirmation saying the same. Showed up, didnt have a truck. Spent 20 minutes in line, and more than an HOUR dealing with the staff. No truck. Now we have less than an hour to use the elevator. Still no truck. This is unresolved and of course no concessions are offered. Use anything else, but dont use uhaul.

10/31/18 The staff was disorganized & unprofessional. My nephew was told he couldnt park on the lot even though it was plenty of spaces available. He had to search around the area to park his vehicle. There was a long wait when we returned the truck. I wouldnt use their services again.
