The owner,was in vacation,I called for radiator for old classic car,they didnt call back for estimates, its like they didnt know how to do it or they prefer easy jobs

The manager, machanic, and girl working behind were all extremely friendly, and professional.They gave me a great price, and didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need.I would definitely recommend them, and I’ll use them again. It’s hard to find a good shop these days!

Very solid mechanic. I used this place a few times when I had my old Ford 500, the lead mechanic and I believe the owner, Elmo, or Emo, is a great guy, very knowledgeable and professional. They give it to you straight. And from the experiences I’ve had, they are pretty honest which means a lot when talking about car repairs. If you are looking to get work done on your vehicle, I highly recommend this local mechanic, it’s also best to try to make an appointment cause they are pretty busy.

Highly, highly recommend. I felt like I was at a huge loss until I called them. I had my catalytic converter stolen and they repaired it same day, in about 30 minutes. They had everything that was needed AND gives a 1 year warranty. Please go here if your situation is similar to mine. GREAT price for quick work and they see this issue frequently so have great knowledge of it too.

Had an emergency and needed to get a broken pipe under my car fixed. I went over and they took me in right away and fixed the problem in less then an hour. They gave me a really good deal too. Will definitely be going back if any other issues arrive. Super grateful!

This place is great. I visit Chicago allot and had herd about this shop from a cab driver. My truck had been stored along time and needed allot of work. Here did Brakes, Rotors & Pads,catalytic converter. They beat the brake job buy 150.00 any price I found and the converter by 250.00. I was also told i needed and alternator. I really found this hard to believe, I did make it home and the next day had to call a tow truck, had to take it to a shop and yep you guessed it needed and alt. So you can see that to me they were very honest. I also want to add that there very honest and fast. There is a Bar restaurant right on the corner if you need to wait and the Blue line train is very close. Im really glad I went there and they do have Groupons. Thanks Sallie Local 49

I just picked up my 2010 Toyota Camry from New Windy City Mufflers and Brakes (in fact Im writing this review from their shop) and after driving it a couple of miles to make sure they did a good job I want to say they did a GREAT JOB! with a GREAT PRICE! Leo, the head mechanic, is a very talented guy.

This place is Price gouging they don’t know what they doing they give me the price for my 2006 Honda Pilot bank 1 converter I already have parts and I ask them how much is the labor owner told it’s gona be $80 when I got To day as 07/01/20 there second owner told me it’s gona be $250 the labor never recommend this place they give you price on phone not match when you actually see them in person they suppose to open shop 8am they don’t open until 8:30am hr waiting time

People if you are still going here please stop! I will recommend people to not go here for your services. I was not satisfied with the work they have done. I had to go there twice to tell him i was not comfortable with his work. Off point and crooked. He insisted that is how the work is done. I had to think a few times and looked over the work done numerous times and asked a few people to get a clear view if it was done right. The welds did not look like welds. It had leaks. the muffler was not positioned right. the bends where off. and the tail pipe was to low. Now i have a bunch of cuts and very bad welds all over my piping and let me remind you there where leaks in the welding. Over priced. To top it off he used the same old rusty hangers and did not even bother to change them. Please do not go there. Now i have to spend more money to go to Velasquez to get it fixed.

Best and only place Ill go to for brake and mechanic work. These guys are extremely honest about their work and very fair with pricing. They actually care about you and your car and wont bs you. Highly recommend.

Took my car here for muffler work. Guys did a great job & it was inexpensive. The owner is a great guy & very easy to work with on price.

Buyer Beware! These people are about as sleazy as they get. I stopped in for an oil change. As the foreign grease monkey was finishing up, he called me over and explained that upon doing a courtesy check that my rotors needed to be changed ASAP and that he could do them both for just under $200. He pointed them out to me and said they have less than 30% life. He obviously didnt know that I had a background in automotive repair and that I could clearly see that there was plenty of life left on my rotors. It was embarrassing being in the presence of someone who thought that I was so naive and would fall for that scam. I just played dumb and told him that I didnt have time and that Id bring it in next week for that, just to keep things friendly. Later that day, I replayed the moment in my mind, prompting me to check the oil level. Sure enough, it was right at the minimum level. Also, my power steering level was low. Apparently he missed that during the courtesy check. I wish I could give them zero stars.

I took my car to be repaired and the car was worst than it was when I got it out the shop. The struts where loose, and the where new struts. The thermostat and hose was leaking because they where loose. The ended up spending a lot more money than I was suppose to. There was a mechanic that was very rude and doesn’t know how to work on cars. Don’t take your car there you well waste your time and money.

If you value your time, then please dont go to this place. Made me (and four other customers) wait for 3 hours, even before we were attended to.A totally disorganized environment. Dont be misguided by the prices advertized outside the shop. They will turn out to be completely different once the repair starts. Also, theyll find ten other faults that will need urgent repair, hence racking up your bill.If you earn more than $10/hr, then the amount of money you will save by going to this place will be made up in the amount of time youre required to wait for your repair to take place. Hence, if you earn $10/hr then just go to a Midas or some other standard repair shop since it will end up costing the same money because youll save time, that you could have spent earning that money that youll save.

I went on Saturday morning at 9:45. Leo check my car for a leak. He found out it was the Radiator. They ordered it and it got there by 11:00. The job should take 2.2 hours. I finally got my car at 5:38. They keep saying just a little bit longer. Hal the owner does not know how to manage people. The person that was working on my car was so slow. The job took 6.30. They were not nice to me, they didnt want to upset the man fixing my car. Dont go here!
