Ate a salad for lunch on my break from work today that made me so happy that I felt compelled to write a review because Ive loved this place for over three years and if it were to ever shut down, I would simply starve to death. Best tuna salad Ive ever had. Sandwiches are well priced and huge. Easily the best lunch spot in the neighborhood. Moved to Logan this year but still work nearby and my boyfriend begs me to bring home sandwiches for dinner regularly. 11/10

This place is incredible. Their chicken salad sandwich (fancy Nancy) is honestly other worldly. Also, I’ve never had pasta at a restaurant where you can actually taste that it is fresh made. Desserts are great too. Admittedly it’s a tad pricey, but it’s always worth it.

Came here today for the first time, but due to COVID it was only for pick up. The space was very nice, clean and bright. There is a large menu that looks to have nice options. I got a club sandwich and it was very good. Will definitely return!

I found this place to be real friendly. I had a Wells Street Sub in here. They make it really well. The sandwich is easy to eat. Its not messy and loaded up with a bunch of sauces that you dont need. Its just straight ahead good food. And nice people that work in here and probably own the place. they asked me if I wanted to take it home or eat it outside. I asked if I could eat it inside and she said I could. So they had on the music at a reasonable volume. And I like that. And its right off of the Brown line maybe buy a block or so. and its near the number 80 Irving Park in the 50 Damon buses. So its convenient to get to.

What an amazing little spot to grab a quick bite! Indoor and outdoor seating, super fresh ingredients and great staff! Cant believe it was my wife and my first time here, weve lived in the neighborhood for over a year. I highly recommend checking this place out!

The food is fantastic and price well. The only thing better than the food is the service. Each time Ive been in there she has been friendly and taken time to talk to everyone in the store.Today I had the chicken salad sandwich. It was quite tasty but it was a little less savory than I had expected because of I believe the grapes that were in the salad. With that said after the first bite of surprise I enjoyed the sandwich to the very last bite

I love Tuscan Hen and i have been meaning to leave a review for quite awhile. I am so glad that they have survived Covid as a small business. We frequently order sandwiches, salads, and pasta to pick up on the weekends and they’re always fresh with homemade elements. We hosted our son’s 7th birthday party here (he’s a budding chef) a few years ago and had the best time. Lorraine, the owner, put on a homemade pasta cooking class for the kids and they all got to make their own fresh pasta and take it home with them. They then ate a delicious meal of spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and veggies. It was truly a special day and all of the parents of the guests thought it was such a unique and fun party. Thanks for being such a wonderful local business!

Tried this because it’s just down the street from my new apartment and it did NOT disappoint. I had a weird craving for chicken salad which I would normally never order, and I was blown away. I have ordered it several times and it’s always fresh and amazing. Their turkey sandwich and pasta with vodka sauce was also incredible. 5 stars!!

Really cute place! Ordered the burrata salad togo and had it in the nearby park/table area. It was delicious! Customer service is excellent as well. I’ll definitely be coming back :)

This place NEVER disappoints! I’ve been hearing from people at work and my friends in the neighborhood about the homemade frozen lasagna. I thought it’d be a good meal in the snowy cold weather. And OMG. Go and get it. It’s so delish, and only $17 for a huge portion for two people. We only ate half and have enough for another meal. We have only had the sandwiches, but now I’ll be heading to the frozen section while my sandwich is being made! Thank you guys!

The atmosphere was warm and cozy on a cold wintery night. The hardest decision is what to order! It was also hard not to fill up on the homemade focaccia before the entrees. The pastas were so so good (papardelle, spaghetti, and gnocchi not pictured because we gobbled it up). Loved our time here and we are so glad we ended on a sweet note.

Just tried Tuscan Hen Market for the first time and got the Fancy Nancy sandwich. It was delicious and i am now obsessed. Fresh, well priced, delectable and cute! I cant wait to come back and try the desserts!

Just walked by and looked in the window. Saw some employees/owner (not sure) and thought I might be interested so I started reading the signs on the window to see what they offer, the schedule, covid info... And one if the people working there came to the door to ask can I help you? in the rudest greeting Ive received in a long time. So much for trying a new restaurant.

I was excited when I saw they had spaghetti carbonara and eager to try a new place that was close to where I work, but what I got was extremely disappointing. I got barely buttered noodles, no sauce or peas or cheese, with pancetta (the only thing with flavor) for $16 I was expecting good food, and my hopes were high because the reviews and the place is cute and looks like it uses fresh ingredients. Highly disappointing. I normally dont review places much and hate leaving bad reviews, but the food was just sad and it felt deceptive

The Fancy Nancy is bonk and you gotta try some of their fresh pasta. Madon!

You know food that is so good; that when you eat it, your body just feels so good after eating it? That was my experience eating the chicken pesto sandwich from here. Oh goodness it was SOO FRESH and they didnt skimp out on the amount of toppings either; your body just knows this is good for me. It truly was delicious and one of the cheaper [money wise] options on GrubHub. I suggest having it with the potato chips with it-oof you will be in heaven! I will absolutely be ordering from them again; probably going to try one of their paninis next!

Loved Chef Lorraine’s homemade cheese ravioli: creamy cheese, great pasta, nice tomato sauce. Very friendly old-Chicago, quick-bite. Try the homemade limonata cake. Yummy!

Tuscan Hen provided us with one of the most delicious meals ever! Lorraine’s culinary talents wowed our son’s future in-laws. We appreciated her suggestions in developing the menu. The vegetable and appetitzer platters were refreshing; the pasta, chicken Parmesan, and lasagna were just like my Italian grandmother used to make! The cookie platter lightly and sweetly finished this wonderful meal. I highly recommend Tuscan Hen!

We hosted our daughters wedding at Tuscan Hen on a Saturday evening two weeks ago. We held both the ceremony and the dinner in the patio area.In this time of Covid19, it wasnt the 150 person event that was originally planned, but all 15 people there were delighted with the outcome, most importantly the happy couple!The food was amazing! Lorraine helped us decide upon the menu (appetizers, salad, a choice of entrees (Chicken picata, pasta primavera, or Cacio & Pepe), and focaccia bread.Her staff set the tables with white tablecloths and cloth napkins. They set up a table for the bar service which later served at the dessert table, where we served a bakery cake and some of the restaurants delicious cannolis. They printed menus for everyone since the guests had a choice of entrees, and were there to help us in any way the entire evening.The appetizers were served as people arrived, then we held the short ceremony, followed by dinner. The brides wanted a low key vibe, so the setting was perfect for them. With charming lighting and the abundant foliage, the patio area was beautiful, cozy, and welcoming.The restaurant does not have a liquor license, but we were able to bring our own alcohol in, which worked out fine for us. They were very helpful with the set-up.Id highly recommend this venue for a party, a shower, and, yes, a small wedding.Cant thank Lorraine and her staff enough for everything they did to make this evening special for everyone in attendance! It was magical!

I have a very strong suggestion. Can you please consider adding some kind of potato to your delicious menu. Roasted, Baked, Fried etc. Any potato.

This is a fantastic place to grab a quick bite to go, or visit in small groups. The sandwiches are packed full and taste delicious, and had options for vegetarians and those allergic to nuts. The staff was incredibly friendly, and gave us a free dessert the last time we visited. Ill definitely be coming back soon.

Entree order was completely missed and instead of offering to send the missing items, they just issued a refund. The pesto doesnt look that great online, so good riddance I guess. Im just disappointed.

Outstanding Staff and Food! I love this place and cant say enough of the quality of the food. You can not find a better Caprese sandwich. (the pesto is out of this world) The Lasagna is wonderful! The staff is top notch and go out of their way to make you feel at home. We eat there once a week. If you are in the area stop in for lunch or pick up dinner for the night..

The Popeye salad was okay--i think the dressing could have been more flavorful. The Luigi sandwich was amazing. Would absolutely return for a sandwich, and one of their desserts (cannolis are filled on the spot, meaning a super crisp shell)

Nothing beats the BLT here. Its made with crispy prosciutto instaed of bacon, delicious! The sandwiches here are big, hearty and freshly made. The soups are comforting and savory. Its locally owned and the owner is often in the shop eagerly trying to greet and please each customer. Great place. Honestly, theres no need to get a subpar Subway sandwich when this place is just across the street and full of real ingredients.
