Pretty good place to pick up what you need. The staff helped me find everything I wanted, and I got to add some art supplies. I did see a box that would have been great for art storage, but the top was cracked and they didnt have replacement. Try to get as is discount, but manager was not there. Overall, good for general supplies, but I would go to Ellis art or another specialty store for specific items.

They always have great deals and tons of creative stuff. Frame/picture items, crafts for kids, and home decorations.

Love this store! They have a huge variety of products, their prices are super good(if not unbeatable), and for DIYers its nearly a 1-stop shop! They also have a great selection of home decor and furniture at really decent price points. I cant remember how I survived before my town got its Hobby Lobby!

See the baskets, I added, to my self holder great addition that I bought basket holder at Granny Thrift Store in Orland, Calif, cost $ 2.50. Works well to hold my basket to hold paints and etc... From Holy Lobby, very happy

First time @ this store; usually go to Roseville. I went in looking (& hoping) to find some Spring items on clearance, especially flamingos. We are having a flamingo themed reunion next month & I wanted a couple more flamingo items. I found one end cap w/ flamingo items-the sign said 50% off. I thought GREAT! Get up to the checkout w/ my other things & the girl said “no, it’s reg price”. She tells a young guy standing there & he says “no, reg price.”I said “come w/ me, I will SHOW you”- he said he wasn’t able to leave the front of the store. Another sales lady was standing there- I said “come w/ me- I will show YOU.” (Meanwhile, this was the only check out open & I was holding up probably 5 customers). The saleswoman knew exactly where to look. She said “it’s right here…& the flamingo YOU have hangs on the wall & if you read the sign it says SHELF SITTING ITEMS ONLY”. Well, how MISLEADING is that?? WHY put all the flamingo stuff on the same end cap w/ a sign saying 50% off but only have a few said flamingos on sale??? I told them they can keep their flamingo. I hope our new store coming to Yuba City has more employees that are more knowledgeable- why didn’t the cashier know that the wall stuff wasn’t on sale but the shelf sitters were?

There are a lot of sales,they had supplies for basically any craft and a huge array of decorating items.From one theme to another !!! Love going in because you can easily spend 2 to 4 hrs .in there !! Love this place ❤️👍🥰❤️❤️❤️

I love this store they have everything they are pricey but having what you need makes up for it. I am irritated that they close at 7pm. 9pm is much more covenant for anyone with kids. The closed on Sunday is also a major inconvenience. Still they are great but could be better.

The staff is often very rude and unprofessional (I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because not ALL of them are terrible). Mask wearing is horrible here, many of employees have their mask down below their nose and often times their chin. Not to mention this company is homophobic, but I’m guessing the good majority of people who shop here don’t mind that. If you’re a good person though, I would not support this company.

While it’s nice to know that Chico now has all these crafting options, It’s also overwhelming and way overpriced when shopping there. Hobby Lobby has a sporadic layout with isles of every size and width. They have a huge variety of just about everything, but finding what you need might take some time. The coupons they send in the mail will be helpful when shopping there because the prices are slightly above fair.

Peeps here are nice. It wasnt crowded which is a plus, and they helped me find the yarn I needed. Score!

Great place for makers, crafters, DIYers. Very cool selection of hard to find hardware, knobs, handles, coat hooks, coat racks, signs, blank Tshirts for cricut iron-on. Paints, car and plane models, tons of cool furniture that includes desks, tables, side tables, shelves, end tables. Great sections of decorating themes like, hot rod, man cave, beach, lake house, western, forest and wildlife, horse thems. Tons of great stuff in this store, and I wish I had more time to spend on my 1st trip. I will definitely shop here frequently for my sign making business, and furniture restorations. What a great addition to all the stores in Chico, Ca.

Hobby lobby is always nice to visit. They have all home decor things you could want. I am giving four stars because I wish they had more employees working. Very hard to find someone to help you and check out lines are long.

TLDR; the staff is slow and the inventory stinks.If youve never been to Hobby Lobby, its a pretty interesting novelty at first. Huge selection and sale of basically every home decor item you could want.Unfortunately, you want that here. Im not sure if its the location, management, or several uncontrollable factors, but the stock of this store remains pretty static year around. Even the seasonal and holiday inventory is limited to a shelf or two. Plus, all those great deals they flaunt wont matter as the staff either forgets or is unable to ring you up any discounts. Too top it all off, several items are broken and scattered aimless throughout out the store.This building was left to decay after the closing of Toys R Us, and I was stunned to find the same old flooring titles and wall paneling deteriorating upon Hobby Lobby entering. Really a waste of potential.

Their selection of Cricut supplies is smaller than Wal-Marts. There are no labels on the isles so I spent much more time there than necessary. Even the Dollar Tree labels their isles. Smart sales tactic I guess, I definitely bought more than I went for!

I saw a woman leaving the store my age. I was inform shes high risk. I am too I said he said you have to shop another time. That in my book is racially profiling. And he was beyond rude. Ill never shop here and Ill do my best to stop everyone else from shopping here, too. You can find most of those items locally. Soo do it .

Staff didnt want to actually go look for an item for me on phone, but ensured me that they did have a large selection of exactly what I was looking for. I drove there and there wasnt 1 Tamiya model in the store like I asked for. There is a small selection model kits. Would recommend for other arts and crafts.

There something for everyone, whether its needlepoint, painting, woodworking, or building a Victorian dollhouse. And yes folks,...YES they even have supplies for mosiacs as well as Models, Tiedye supplies, & a million other things. Love the home decor as well although I tend to stick in the craft section. Im going to be honest, theres 3 things that I dont like. The first is they have so many items on the displays that its almost impossible not to have something fall off and break when all you did was reach around or behind an item to check out something that was visually obscured by other merchandise. I was there on Tuesday, and I heard several you break it you buy it crashes. Another reason for me to stay in the crafts. Yarn doesnt draw attention when it falls on the floor.There is no customer service counter for returns. You have to wait in line at a register to return something, and trust me, tis the season for lines. The sales associates have to type in the codes for the merchandise on their touchscreen monitors. Seems to me it would be a lot faster if they could get their scanning devices on board. Especially for Christmas.Anyway, those things dont keep me from going back. Its worth it. Having a boring day at home? Go to Hobby Lobby. If youre anything like me thatll kill at least 2 hours, AND you just might find a new hobby to relieve your boredom.

Not near as helpful as Michaels. I once did not have discount coupon at Michaels and they gave me discount. Yesterday I had my 40% discount ready on my phone but lost it in check out line. Charged full price (I did not wish to hold up the line trying to retrieve it). You could tell staff moral not good, no smiles not much enthusiasm like Michaels.

As someone who couldnt wait for hobby lobby to open up because they carry a brand of professional paint that typically order online. Now I have been a long time customer as far back as the summer you started carrying the paint. I walked in knowing the protocol and how to get a person to get the paint and carry it up front. As i was looking for a worker. I heard over the radio my exact description as the manager made eye contact. Now seeing as paint being the ultimate goal, I out of my character didnt say anything about the blatant profile, i just asked if he could get the paint for me. i purchased 83 dollars worth of ironlak paint. As a man who works hard to pay for a hobby that i love who in turn is a small reason for your revenue, pays for goods and services at hobby lobby many times before in TEXAS mind u. I was never treated so unfairly and judged when my intentions were just. I give every person a chance to show thier true character, and surprise Hobby Lobby in my home town did something only reserved for big cities. Im hurt by this and if they knew anything about me they would of known i tried to apply to get a part time job but they need open availability for the open. Thats how dedicated I am to my craft work to pay for a employee discount on art! If that is not the way to work towards a goal the right way, then I emplore anyone to give me help! I work at Chico Volkswagen im 35 years old. I shouldnt live in fear of being profiled by the way I look. I faithfully live equal to my fellow brothers and sister of my human race, and to be rejected and felt to be a criminal, or I didnt belong is the furthest thing from the good book that hobby lobby lives by. I dont need religion to be decent to everyone. I will never return to Hobby Lobby again, and im ashamed you brought that ignorance and filth to Chico. I know this will probably get overlooked but I review because I read reviews, so Im very honest and detailed. As angry and frustrated I am I forgive Hobby Lobby and hope that they as a company will change policy or be more discreet about your fear of races and ethnicity. Im not looking for anything but to be an example of how to respond to negative practice of racially profilling. I know i can stand next to any man anywhere and be as or more of a moral and just man. I worked hard to be this person, you wont break me nor will i stop being a positive person to anyone. Your all my brother and sister! I hope that this reachs just one person, and they take a lesson in how to still be decent in the face of racial profiling as well as handling this mindstate of of fearful pre-conditioned entitled Americans.The old me would have made a huge deal about this but I dont want to highlight a business even in the negative light. In this day and age of impressionable humans. I merely would have to aggressively share my story and request others to come forward to share a similar experience. And i would specifically target the demographic that is easily impressionable with scare tactics enough to boycott the company, and im going straight the bible belt audience. Im by no means going to waste my energy trying to destroy a company over one persons misjudgment of in all sense a human brother of thiers. I let out everything and will move on, and just order paint and support somewhere else. I know you may be scared of the way I look but i would never wish ill will on anyone just a lesson of your true character. The lesson I learned is Chico Hobby Lobby targets customers who on average spend 80-200$ dollars in paint a trip. Yes my hobby is disastrously expensive, but im going to bring the good to this planet in the form of art, whilst Combatting the negative ingnorance and fear. If anything im the real winner because I can choose to never go back and choose to patiently wait for paint online. So to lesson your stress of providing a service to a targeted artist group for hobby lobby is not returning so you wont fear whatever it is that you fear. Isnt that in the end result your company is trying to do? We both won!

Lines too long. Staff seem to not know how to do their jobs. Putting first day employees on check out. They dont offer help if customers appear lost. If your standing looking at something they dont ask if they can help you. Definitely will not be recommending to others.
