Really great stuff here, especially selection of jackets. Prices seem to have risen slightly in the past 3 yrs but still one of the best thrift stores
Half of my wardrobe is from Value Village and Im proud of that! Ive found treasures including a Dior vest, 7 for all mankind jeans, suede pants, and other unique items. Given that, Id never been to this location, despite living quite close. Im glad I visited yesterday and donated previously loved items. With a donation, you receive 20% off, so off I went to explore. I appreciated that this location is much calmer than Silver Spring. With that, shopping was less stressful and I perused the aisles with ease. And, yes I did leave with hidden gems: Everlane jeans, linen shorts, vintage suit vest, a wicker storage basket, and wall-hanging baskets. I was impressed and will be back! Shout out to Jasmyne’s kindness at the Community Donation Center.
A place that sells used items. There are many items such as clothes, shoes, and dishes on display. If you choose wisely, you can purchase useful items at a reasonable price.
Great values just take your time because the bargains are plentiful. 🌷 Pay attention to the monitor and try get color tags which are on sale. Be Thrifty and enjoy your shopping before you realize your cart is loaded.💕I forgot to mention senior discount day is Tuesday if sm kot mistaken. HAVE FUN🙏
I pray somebody will donate. some pant suits. I did not see any on today.
Incredible thrift store, the One stop shopping of thrift stores!! Huge selection, well organized, staff is friendly, but sometimes hard to understand or communicate with since most are immigrants with very little English language skills, but cashiers all can speak English and are quick to serve! Interesting detail, store does not carry plastic bags, you must bring your own or buy them from them. Bags range from 99 cents to 2.99 depending upon the size of the bag...Also shopping carts are NOT allowed outside, You must carry your purchases with your bags.
I will definitely recommend this to any experienced thrifter. Its very large so be prepared to browse for hours
I typically just drop in for donations and they are handled quite well! I went in the other day for some costume jewelry for my kids. It was easy enough, but the place is very understaffed. Perhaps they could relocate some of the drop-off team to the registers.
Nice variety and supply of clothing and items. Prices have increased over the past few years for the same quality of items.
Pretty good thrift store with reasonable enough prices. Just keep in mind this is a for profit business, not a charity in and of itself. The cashier was very nice and wrapped the dishes I purchased in newspaper for me.I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was very crowded, which was a bit uncomfortable given the pandemic but to be expected at the time I chose to go. Customers and staff were all wearing their face masks properly which was reassuring.
The Door Greeter was friendly and helpful. Everything was well organized, the store was clean and the cashier was friendly and personable. This thrift store has something for everyone. So when youre in the area, stop by and get your shop on.
Hands down best thrift store. The male cashier I’m not sure what his name is but he needs to be promoted to manager. He was super sweet and neatly wrapped all my glass items individually so sweet!
Huge store with a decent selection of stuff including clothes, jewelry, and home supplies. Was disappointed that there were no changing rooms so I don’t think I’ll be returning
This place is a bit chaotic. Particularly the main entrance is an eye sore for clutter and debris like something out of a hoarder TV show. The inside is much better. Also, the best thrift stores employ young and dumb newbies who incorrectly price tag name brand items so that we the customer can snatch a good deal. But NOT HERE. Dont expect fantastic prices because their manager is a bit money hungry even though they are getting this stuff for free. Seriously its better to go shopping here if they have a sale.
It doesnt look like the biggest store from the outside but it will fool you- they have the biggest selection; they even have pianos and an amazing selection of womens plus size clothing and childrens clothing. There are three sections of womens shoes (in the same part of the store). Toys that work when the batteries are changed, very organized, good service, bilingual, a positive experience over all. My only issue was that I couldnt immediately find the shopping carts; I had to go to the back of the store because there were no more at the entrance. Hey, first world problems. ☺️
Great thrift store if youre willing to poke around for awhile.Occasional one-liners from fellow customers add to the experience, so did they just pull all these clothes off a dead guy or what?
Best place ever. So many unbelievable deals and great staff. A true gem.
3/25/2021Went here looking for old tapes cassettes, could not find one in the store. But I found some other items I could use in my crafting. The store was not crowded at all. The check out lines were short and so was the waiting in line. They had about 3 cashiers working the registers. The store is full of clothing, bedding, shoes, and jewelry. There are lot of kids toys too! There was no line or wait time to enter the store either. Now is the time to start looking for things you may need in the future.
30% discount for seniors on Tuesdays! Great selection of random stuff: utensils, appliances, new event t-shirts that didnt sell there. Bring your own bag.
Great selection of used stuff. You can find books, electronics, clothes, shoes and housewares.
It was OK. More clothes and shows than anything. Very dusty.
Wonderful place for the antics. And great place to donate. I would it is a place of sharing. Thanls to all donors.
Quick and easy drop off for donations.
My experience in Value Willage is awesome beyond imaginationn, but some things are a bit getting expensive more than the originals, that all, but its Beautiful.
Great place to find some treasures.
I love to thrift. 160. 3 pairs of shoes and 10 outfits for $160
Nice selection, good quality, well-organized. Pretty impressed with my first-ever Value Village visit. Definitely better than the average thrift store in the DC area (which tend to be ridiculously expensive for thrift). Just make sure to check the actual sizes because what they mark SMALL can actually be anything from size 0 to 6, which is a big range. They give a 20% off coupon every time you donate! Plus other discounts on specific days too. But their location on New Hampshire Ave has a larger selection and much lower prices.
This is one of my favorite thrift stores, they have a pretty good selection of shoes for those of us with big feet (at least compared to most other places - womens 11 in my case) and I almost always find something good here, frequently for myself and sometimes for other people too (Ive found some cool stuff for my bf and also occasionally something nice for his mom as well so theres stuff for most any demographic - weird, conservative, hip, vintage, etc etc). If youre in the area youve probably been here before but if for some reason you havent (or if youre just passing through the area and have never stopped here before) its definitely worth checking out, you never know what you might find!
This is a nice and big location. I went in yesterday and didnt see a color sale but I still found treasures.
Great large second hand store with lots of gems! Found some excellent brands like JCrew, Banana Republic, Eddie Bauer, Loft and more with high quality clothing and lots of selection in lots of styles. Great prices too like 100% cashmere sweater for $5! Definitely with your time!
Always find get deals, I got a pair of Michael Kors jeans for myself yesterday, I pay $10.99 for them!!! And then I bought Areopostle, Hollister, Levis, Old Navy, Forever 21 and The Childrens place for my kids. That ranged from $6.00 ans less!!!Almost every pair of jeans looks brand new!!!! I bought 23 outfits for my kids ages 14, 12 and 9, and they look brand new. The total cost was $146.6!!!! I cant believe the deals you can get from here.Just try shopping here for yourself or your family and see, you will be surprised at what you can get!!!
Value Village is always the greatest if they have what your looking for. Amazing people contribute clothing in such good condition.
Always manage to find great items at inexpensive prices
Prices are sometimes better than the competition.
Always a great place.Organization is their thing....always has been!!!Specials always, not just sometimes. ( I call twice a week Always...lol.
Was dropping off lots of clothes and household goods people are able to Use for CHRISTMAS. NICE PLACE!
Neat and clean. Staff very friendly
Lots of very inexpensive stuff
Popular spot. Always stocked. Good prices on most things. They have specials on certain days and have a mailing list to advertise specials.
Convenient. Lots of reusable items that can be purchased for less. Supporting a worthy cause
Affordable for certain items you cant find in some stores.
Good place for bargains...if you have patience to look for a deal.
Looking for something unique to wear or a household item. For adults and children, this is a Super Store of choices for the creative and frugal minds that are on the go. Check them out...you may be delighted on how many deals you find that will fit your taste. Have patience because it is a large place with huge selections.
Crowded and people are often times in your way. Verbally was yelled at by a customer.
Pure chaos but if you have the patience, you can get some really nice finds. The prices are already discounted but if you go on customer appreciation day, you get an even better discount. You just have to be okay with being around A LOT of people.Beware of the parking lot. There is a lot of construction there and I ended up with a flat because of a huge screw in my tire.
Amazing selection of home goods and clothing.
I always enjoy shopping here.
My favorite place to go!
Loved it, not over crowded
Customer service is great. Suggest lowering prices during the pandemic.
There Halloween selection is bare this year and disappointing. I blame Covid, but still wish they had better options.
Great store plenty of items. Ill drive 35 miles again to just look around.
Laundry World is amazing.
Bad stuff and bad prices
If you do business in some other countries is good
Good deals. Tries to remain clean.
Theyre too freaking expensive. I left when i realized i can do better at the regular stores.
A great store!
I had 5 minutes to shop when i walked in the door.. Ok.. Almost ever day of the week they have special fiscoubtd gor everything. Tuesday is 55 and over day..30% off. Mon, Weds, Friday 20 % off.. Alot of things to choose from..An i didnt even get to explore the whole dtore. Go visit the store. But unlike go before they close..
If you love thrifting, this is one of the best. Two large stores next to each other. Always plenty of good finds. Drop off for donations. Negatives are horrid bathrooms and poor system for trying on clothes. Your inner bargain hunter will be happy though.huge book section.
I love this store. I find all kinds of good stuff in there. The staff is pretty damn prickly and arent very good at explaining things. Luckily, I dont need a lot of things explained to me. I would also like if they had more price specials/sale days.
Not too many people. Went in got what I needed and was on to the next mission.
Great amount of parking - my favorite part was all of the housewares! Everything from small appliances, to fancy old silver pieces, I could have stayed there all day. Worth the trip if youre in the area!
Thru have a wide variety of things here, but its a bit overpriced for a thrift store. A lot of items other than clothing are marked down only a couple of dollars. They should work on their pricing and they would definitely get five stars.
Love all the treasures that I come across. Prices are reasonable. Mondays and Thursdays they have a discount on your items.
I like to share and I went to donate some items
I love this place. They actually have cute stuff and I always over spend. I go there before anywhere else.
Good place to find bargains but the customers tend to trash the store. People! Be respectful. Dont just throw clothes and other items on the floor. The staff here works hard to keep up.
Its a large store and it could have potential to be good. Value village on a sale day is a train wreck. Walking through the store on a sale day like 4th of July. People will run you over. The store at times is a mess. It smells pretty bad. Keep a eye on your children. I walked past the toy section of the store and I saw a rodent run under the racks. I informed the staff. It didnt seem like a priority . 🤔 Ive been to 3 more of their locations its so much junk and clutter. Its like walking past a obstacle course. Value village needs to be managed better.
I visit whenever I can. Mondays and Wednesdays are senior discount days. Much better items since new management. Nice staff-always pleasant.
Great place to shop good savings
This is a great place with tons of second hand things. I have purchased clothes, shoes, comforter, sheets and pots & pans here. Perfect for those watching their pennies. The only reason i did not give 5 stars is because there is usually a mess, lines like crazy, and snooty staff.
Been here many times, you can always find something good.
I love Value Village (Awesome place to find fine maker mens and womens clothes!). I never leave unsatisfied. Always make an effort to spend a couple hours when I am visiting Washington DC. Its the greatest charity shopping ever!
Large store, Ive been 5 times and havent found anything nice on the mens side at least. Sometimes it has an interesting smell inside.
Very nice stuff
Love finding hidden treasures!
Good furniture section
Has a decent selection of items. Definitely a hit or miss experience. Not worth going unless it’s half off due to the high price points, but you can find some gems of course
I believe the store is an old Toys R Us. The stores full of items but it does smell pretty bad. I havent had much luck here finding many things at a good price and I believe thats due to their high volume of customers that visit the store every day. Its any area that is known for high crime so make sure you lock your doors
I really like this place. White Oak shopping center. They have a lot of stuff and it is a big store.anyone who likes yard sales or thrifting would love this place. You can find a lot of awesome things
I usually find something in the ladies section but mens t-shirts are all leftover event shirts and other advertising tshirts.
Clothing is over priced, spent $70 on a a handful of items during the 50% off sale. The prices used to make sense and USED TO be fair, not anymore. Now, during the 50% off sale you’re really just buying for “regular store price”. The prices are so high here like like $7.99, $10.99, for used items with the 50% off you’re really paying what they should have been priced at from the beginning $4.99, $5.99 etc. Ugh other neighborhood stores are better at pricing, On to the next.
I always find something good and valuable at the store when I visit. They help so much and the place is really clean.
This is by far the best thrift store I have ever visited (and I have visited a lot!) I am continually amazed at what one can find there, from supplies to collectibles to clothes. Always well organized and decently priced.
They have senior citizen days off and another day where its 15 percent off. Hit or miss but most time i walk away with a few shirts good prices in good condition
Great store with great selections. They have used items and also new items. I got my 12 yr old daughter 2 brand new bathing suits from target for $11!!! And I got myself 1 new bathing suit from TORRID for $8.99and another expensive designer bathing suit top for a $9,99!!! So all together cost me$19.00!!!! What great finds. You have to check this place out!!! You might really be surprised and like it !!!
Clean, well lit, very well organized. On the weekends when it is more busy it can be crowded and not as tidy but it is still one of the better thrift shops. I have gotten some amazing Bargains here.
Solid selection of second hand wares
Fun shopping experience. Great place to meet other passionate collectors.
This location is empty., need more attention on sales and employees dont know the areas. Lost my time. :(
Looking good especially during dat rona
Some good thrift finds. Not too much for smaller people though
Most items are new or almost new.
I enjoyed my shopping at this location I found a beautiful pair of shoes that I wore today and I got 2 compliments on the shoes
Kinda messy inside and a little understaffed.
This is my favorite thrift store in the DC area. They have rows and rows of clothes, shoes, books, toys, and housewares. Ive filled my closets with their items. I had to promise myself that if I shop here, then I must also donate here too! Its clean and their selection is amazing. They carry a mix of old, new, and nused items. I often luck up and find many Petite sized jeans and dress pants which is difficult for me to find in stores.
