Theres a reason this gamestop survived when others around it disappeared and that is amazing customer service!

The sales associate should not make you feel guilty because you choose not to participate in giving to their charity. I do not give my money to charity in stores that take up collections so they can benefit from it. I give directly to the charity. That is my choice and my right, I will not go back to this store.

Gamestop is a failing business as more and more games become digitized, I don’t believe anyone should be giving them business regardless of our experience. My girlfriend bought a game over Christmas which retailed for 130 dollars, due to it not being what was wanted, she wanted to return it in store, note that we had the receipt and it was within the 30 day return period. Since the seal of the game was removed, they refused to return the game and offered to buy it back for 22 dollars after it being bought for 130 dollars just weeks before. There is no reason why other retailers such as bestbuy, target or Amazon will accept your return regardless of the seal while GameStop will not. If you want to buy a game, just go over to Target across the street or buy it from an online retailer that isn’t losing money every year due to being irrelevant.

We went in at 11:15 am today at the Conston Avenue location and once we got into the store, we started looking around and browsing. Five minutes into us being there, the woman behind the counter says out loud ‘we can only have 5 people in here, the last of you that came in have to leave.’ I understand social distancing and I respect it greatly but if you can’t have one of the other 2 employees that were just standing around in there outside counting people that come in, I don’t know what else to do. How are we as customers supposed to know that there already 5 people in the store? Do a better job and don’t be rude and unprofessional to potential sales that walk right out of the door.

Some of the employees are a bit unprofessional in my opinion...eating behind the register..talking about customers and making inappropriate jokes. Not all of them but a couple I have encountered.

The service was pretty good but pretty bad the company itself displays games the sont even carry in stock and have a bunch in the drawers that isnt displayed that people could see instead of walking back and forth to the counter 50 times just so they can tell you we dont have that in stock

I have done business with this GameStop location since 2002 and I have had a great customer experience here. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about most games and they go above and beyond to help you have the best experience possible! Hard to even begin to figure how much money Ive spent here over the years, but Im a gamer and I really love having this place around, to be able to stop in and grab what I need without having to go into the mall to get there.. great store, great staff.. highly reccomend, 5 stars.

Bought a game for my ps4. Great selection of games but they push the used games which I dont like buying. I was happy to hear they seem to have new consoles for sale as I plan to buy the next generation went they are available. Just like the games, they tend to push sales on used consoles.

Employee cockslapped me and demanded I joined Powerup rewards program. Threatened to track down my family and buy their games and systems for $13 total and sell them back at full price in store. Overall a great experience, will come back.

They still have used PS games.

The store is fine, but the workers will lie to you. They will tell you anything just to buy a game and they will make up a number when it comes to trade in value. I went in the store to trade in 2 games for cash. Being only 17, I had to have an adult with me to get cash back. They told me I would get 50 dollars back, but when my dad goes in, they only give him 30. Out of all the game stops in south-west VA, dont go to this one.

Went in traded some games, and controllers. Wasnt bad credits for the controllers around 11-17 a peice people that were working new what they were talking about and could awnser most questions and were able to let me know which deals could bleed into other deals to make total a far lower price and make the most out of what I traded in.

There are a handful of Gamestops in the area but This Gamestop has really carved out its own spot. A really great regular staff with just the right selection. Always a nice trip!

Store is in an awkward location and thus ends up being very small. Their selection of games and merchandise seems fairly decent and somewhat nuanced at times due to lack of traffic, which can make it a great spot to find niche games or trading cards.Staff were generally friendly, but somewhat aloof at times. Cant blame them, Id get bored too, so I wouldnt count it against them.One thing Ill never get over is the television that plays really weird, biased gameplay reviews and shows on a 10-minute loop. Thats par for the course in all Gamestops though, they really want to be trendy.
