This morning I took my mother in for a hearing test. Dr. Vern and Dr. Jesse ran the test, placed hearing aids into my mothers ears, and I was able to talk to her without having to raise my voice. For the first time in a couple of years I was able to talk to my mom without yelling. I whispered, I love you, and she told me she loved me too. I can barely contain the tears of joy! The past couple of years have been hard for my mother and she has overcame large hurdles. It has been quality over quantity and now her quality is so much more! Today my husband purchased a pair of ReSound hearing aids. He is excited to hear so many sounds that he has been missing out on for years and to be able to participate confidently in group conversations. He now owns a pair of very affordable, comfortable, and high quality hearing aids.My husband has now owned his ReSound hearing aids for about a month and there have been several positive changes concerning his ability to hear when he is wearing his hearing aids The volume on the TV is at a more normal and comfortable level for both of us. If we choose to watch separate TVs, his TV no longer drowns out my TV. The radio in the car is also set at a comfortable level for both of us. Before he started wearing his hearing aids, he would just hear noise when I set the volume at a level that was comfortable to me. He hears me ask him questions and answers me when I am standing behind him. When driving or riding in the front seat of the car, he is also able to hear, understand, and respond to people who are riding in the backseat. He is able to hear and understand people who are speaking into microphones or other electronic devices. Jesse and Vern, the Hearing Aid Specialists patiently listened to our concerns, answered our questions, completed the testing, diagnosed my husbands specific degree of hearing loss and then successfully fitted him with the appropriate hearing aids. We know that if he ever experiences any problems or has any concerns about his hearing aids, that they will be available and willing to assist and address the problem.
