Is one star as low as you can go? We agreed 30 days ago on a house purchase with Clayton Homes. We signed all the documents and put down the deposits. Started clearing our home site for the delivery of that home. At 4:45 in the afternoon the day before closing, 30 days after we agreed on the home and the price, a Clayton Homes manager (Mark) called to tell me that it was going to be $12,000 more for my home. His reasoning was that he gave us a “pre-production” price and the actual price is different now. What? We agreed on an actual price! And I thought that’s why you give people a production price to begin with? Based on the costs to build the home at that time. You don’t just inflate the home price because prices for materials cost more today. And you don’t wait till eight hours before closing and after your client drove seven hours to close and has already made three of those seven hour trips to purchase the home, 30 days later. It should also not fall on your customer with to pay an additional $12,000 charge for no reason other than your failure to do your job properly and quote accurately. Extremely unprofessional company and I will never be a customer here again.
Excellent customer service!! Always willing to help with questions regarding the process of buying a home. Spoke with the service manager and she was very sweet, knowledgeable and helpful!
Have always has my best interest at heart treats me like family and has done everything they said they would. Mark, Tina and the others are great to work with and followed up on my buying my home from beginning to end flawlessly will be back if ever need a new home
We were greeted warmly, viewed many homes, and our questions were answered thoroughly. Zach listened to what we wanted in a home and what our budget was! Then he found us the perfect home!! The office staff and Zach guided us through every step, answered every question, and, homestly, never made us feel like a nuisance.
Went to see selection. Great houses and helpful staff!
A good place to go check out some homes and styles. Hmmm
Outstanding service!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Friendly staff. Just very overpriced homes for a modular home.
Tina was very helpful.
Everything started out great staff was friendly and helpful the whole process became aggravating when I started receiving spotty details on very specific requests and then incorrect information altogether and after I ask for specific numbers on a home I was told that you have all the paperwork already and you should be able to put the figures together because the sales rep was swamped at this point I asked for my deposit back to which there was no attempt at recovering the sale in my opinion this is poor customer service and I hope if you choose to deal with this Clayton your experience is better
Although I have not had any dealings with buying a mobile home from them, I did buy some trailer tires from them because I had no other choice. Nice enough people, but they are way over priced on the tires. Most places charge $30 per tire since they are a one time use throw away tire. This place gets $50 each. Save your money you can buy new trailer tires for that much....
Good looking homes. Watch out for the unintentionally hidden costs. Discuss the end process with the wonderful staff.
I have been driving by this place for several years...usually on weekends...wanting to see the homes. They are not open on weekends.when working people are actually free to see the homes....and today, a Friday, I was there..and there were around 5 cars in the lot...so I stopped.....went in and tried to find someone...finally someone came out and said she was busy...I told her I just wanted to look at the houses...and she said they were locked...and she disappeared...If you want to sell houses, try being open...when open, try to be available...perhaps unlock the houses so people can see them. You could sell some houses if you just followed basic selling ideas.
Relatively inexpensive prefabricated homes with several examples here.
