Have been trying since may to get a back window replaced on a government vehicle. Have been cancelled and rescheduled 3 times. Was told I would get a call back when part arrives. Never happened. Now I’ve been told that part has been there but availability is non existent. Had to reschedule at a different location.If you’re in no rush to get anything done. This is the place for you.

They replaced the windshield on my 2018 Honda Accord and they left the car clean the glass is just the same as the original. Lucky for me I had glass coverage on my Nationwide policy and I paid nothing. Im very satisfied

Francisco did a great job. He was quick, courteous, and very precise when replacing my windshield and recalibrating the camera on the windshield. He in addition was knowledgeable about the services he was completing witch is not always the fact everywhere you go, he was able to answer my questions about the calibration process of the camera on my vehicle. Terrible customer service. It is extremely hard to reach an actual person to talk to. Every time you call their number it is only their automated messaging and does not let you transfer the call to talk to an actual agent. I also had a crash wrap placed over my shattered window and the technicians did not remove any of the loose glass prior to applying the wrap. This ended up scratching the body of my car and the manager there said that this was not their fault and I have to solve it on my own. Would not come back here for any repairs.

You don’t come to places like this happy because you evidently have damage and that’s never good. However, the Chula Vista, CA location (Broadway Ave) has SUPERB service. First, Robert who greets you and explains the process when you get there is the best. He even recommended going thru my insurance for a windshield chip repair on a Porsche (ouch) which didn’t cost me a dime and does not go against you when renewing. Second, Dagoberto went out to my car and explained details with patience. Lastly, Ivan, the actual technician, did an awesome job. So 45 minutes after, $0 out of pocket and a beautifully repaired windshield which would have cost thousands (literaly) to replace made this visit quite an experience. I got my windshield hit by a rock around 1:30 pm on a Saturday. Got an appointment by 3pm and back on the road before 4 that very same afternoon. You can hardly see the crack anymore. Waiting room was pleasant and everyone was super nice.

I booked online to get a new windshield. Easy dropped off and picked up. Hard to contact over the phone for a text I received but overall, Im satisfied with my new windshield. Will recommend.

They are awful and never answer their phone. They have the most ridiculous automatic answering service that will not allow you to speak to any human being and then just hangs up on you. Been trying every day for a week to get a person on the phone. I don’t know how you stay in business

The process was simple. Arrived. Already had appointment online. They double checked they had the needed parts for my windshield. Left my car. They notified me about 3 hours later it was ready for pick up. added my CCard info into the email/account they emailed me so they would charge it as soon as job was finished. picked up my car. Done. They also cleaned the rest of my windows and vacuumed inside.

Safelite did a horrible job attempting to correct a small rock chip on my front windshield. Safelite left two obvious spots on windshield and did not remove crack. Appears to be a rush job as Ive used other vendors before. Very messy work. Paid before work was done thinking a known vendor should do good work. Buyer beware.

The technician completed the repair in about 4 mins and it looked exactly like before the repair. Horrible job! The final product was rough and I still have a huge hole in my windshield. Unacceptable! Then they kept insisting I replace my windshield. I wouldnt have to replace my windshield if the technician did a proper job. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Im disappointed.

The reason I gave one star is because Safelite did not deal with my insurance company like they have every other time Ive used them.

I visited this location on 5/12/20. I was greeted by the service rep named Carlos. He was a super polite gentleman. I was attempting to work with my insurance but he told me that since I needed a full windshield replacement that he suggested to pay out of pocket instead of going through the insurance. Because I would have to end up paying the 1k deductible. So I paid only $363. So I saved ALOT of money! He was super polite to me through the whole process and even helped me a with few discounts and I appreciated that. Since I was a walk in and there were a few appts ahead of me. I only waited a few hours and it was done with a brand new beautiful windshield. To end this review, I just want to say thanks to Carlos and the techs whom worked on my car. They all were professional and Im blessed that I came to Safelite for my windshield replace service.

Although I wasnt pleased spending $478 repairing vandalism, they at least made the repair transaction smooth and efficient. Would recommend them.

Had the tiniest of a windshield chip with almost no crack. I chose to have them come to my place to repair it and paid out of pocket to avoid doing an unnecessary claim for such an easy routine job. I got a call less then 10 minutes later that they were done and when I came to my car the guy said I couldnt fix it and now my windshield was cracked the size of 2 dollar bills due to his work. He then told me I can use my money I put towards the repair to my windshield replacement. If I knew they were going to royally mess up such an easy job I would have just put an insurance claim in to replace the windshield. Now unless I pay out of my pocket for replacement, the money I put towards the repair is sunk because they wont refund the money and do an insurance claim. That would cause me to be out $400 that wasnt needed. They cant even give me the courtesy of getting me in the same day to fix what they did. I chose to take it to Glass Depot who did a wonderful job and took me in the same day. Safelite wont even refund me the $140 spent on the repair that never was repaired. I know companies cant please every customer, but they should offer to make this right which they refused to do.

They replaced my windshield twice and it buzzed when traveling on the freeway. On the 3rd time, I decided to take it to the shop. There they told me the make, model and year of my car when the windshield is replaced they also need to replace the part that is making the noise. They should have done that in the first time they worked on it. They left some parts loose on the car they removed to remove the windshield and the rear view mirror too. I am waiting for replacement part. So my review score might change after they work on it the 3rd time.

I waited days for my windshield replacement appointment. Then the new glass was cracked when the technician brought it out of his van so it couldnt be installed. Not to mention it didnt even have the bonding on the outside so even if it wasnt cracked it couldnt have been installed. Then they told me I would have to wait a week for another appointment. Instead Im going with all-star glass because they have better prices and better service. Safelite wouldnt even match all-stars offer when i called them to give them a chance to avoid a bad review. They left me no choice but to write this. Jason my technician was nice. Robert Maya the manager of this location however is obviously incompetent because something like this happened under his management.

Safelite is using false advertisement. Its website states that after it [the chip] isfully cured, the repair is polished to near-imperceptibilityand All Safelite repairs are backed by a nationwide lifetime warranty and are guaranteed to pass lease turn-back and state vehicle inspections. However, when the chip remained the same, the Safelite shop stated that repairs only came with a money back guarantee that applies to the cost of a windshield replacement. This revised information is sent in a texted pre-authorization that was sent while the technician was already working in addition to the fact that I had already pre-paid for the service. Had I known that this repair was not technically going to fix the problem and that the lifetime guarantee was not a guarantee at all, I wouldnt have gone through with the work completed. Youre better off just buying a $10 repair kit at Pep Boys instead of spending 10 times that with this scam.

I contacted Safelite in Chula Vista by their centralized phone system. I was placed on an automated phone system hold for 47 minutes. I finally hung up. Franchise systems like Safelite need to get their act together. Their lack of personal touch makes me wonder how good their work will be. But, Ill never know, because I wont try them again after having this poor customer service experience.

Called to get a quote on how much it would cost to fix my windshield the woman I spoke to on the phone was not the sharpest tool in the shed and here is how they work they want to charge you $125 for a small repair you take your car to them you wait 45 minutes and then you drive home the whole ordeal may take an hour and a half there are many other people I will come to your home 4 fraction of the price if these people charge if I could I give them no stars

On the afternoon of January 16th, I had scheduled a mobile appointment with Safelite to come and do a replacement windshield installation. Upon arrival, the Safelite technician informed me that they had the wrong windshield and they could not service my vehicle that day. This wouldn’t have been a problem, but I had already withdrawn the vehicle from the holding lot where it was being held and had the vehicle stationed in the parking lot of the holding lot. I could not leave my car there because it would have been towed away and I would have to pay fees to withdraw it once again. Therefore, forcing me to have my vehicle towed at my own expense to the Chula Vista facility where it would be until the next morning when another Safelite employee could service my vehicle, do to their mistake of ordering the wrong windshield. I was already at a loss, and I didn’t have any other option but to follow through with my original plan to get my windshield replaced with Safelite. I was not given a discount for my inconvenience, just simply not charged the mobile fee. My car was ready the next evening. As I’m driving home, I notice that there are several severe starches to my center screen and my plastic protector for my odometer. I tried to go back and talk to the manager but they were closed, so I called the next morning. I called, and the person I spoke to said he would let the manager know and he would be in contact with me. 24 hours later and I hadn’t heard back. I called again and finally was able to talk to the manager (Robert Maya), and he said that he wanted to see the damages done. I showed up, and he took a look and said that they didn’t cause it. He tried to offer me half of the cost to fix it even though it was their fault and half would simply not do. As there was a lot of glass in my car, they must have tried to vacuum the glass, and in doing so, they severely scratched both the screen and plastic protector. The technician should have known better than to rub the vacuum all over the protector and the screen. My vehicle is a brand-new car that was recently bought. This car had no damage to the interior until my visit to the Chula Vista Safelite location. I chose Safelite because they are a trusted company and many people have recommended them. However, after my experience with them, I will never return. They looked at me like I was making all of this up and that their technicians are above reproach and they do not make mistakes. What a load of crap!

Everything went great! Robert the manager was approachable and was able to get my windshield fixed the same day. They estimated around 30 minutes for the fix. Only reason I knocked a star was because the technician that drove my car out of their shop to park it in the front before returning my keys stayed in my car for a while. It got to the point where I went outside from their waiting area and was awkwardly staring at him until he frantically got out of my car and claimed that he was making a call to another customer while in my car. I don’t think that was standard procedure, anyhow my windshield is fixed and that’s all that matters.

Just ok.Service was quick but the windshield was poor quality in my estimation. Driving into the sun you can see many flaws. Had them make a second service call but they merely cleaned the glass. Next time I need glass I wont use Safelite.

Dear Chula Vista Safelite,My windshield was replaced today by Francisco I had an appointment and had to leave him working on the windshield.When I got back and drove the car, I wondered if I had gotten into the right car!Francisco not only replaced the windshield but cleaned the floor mats that had flower and branch debris from an event I provided flowers for but he also cleaned the dashboard, the console and the steering column. The car wash has never done such a good job! He also gave me good advice about fixing the broken mirror. Thank you Francisco! I was way happy! Ill certainly call Safelite in the future.

Ive been here twice due to rock chips on my windshield, both times were great, I was in and out in less than an hour. The waiting room has coffee, water, restrooms, chairs, magazines and a TV to occupy your time. My repairs were covered by my insurance, so I cant speak to the price compared to other repair spots, but the service was great.Just a heads up, dont expect the repair to be 100% invisible, but its definitely better than having it grown hbo a crack and replacing the whole windshield

Rock cracked my windshield. I went through my Geico app and made a reservation with Safelite. They replaced it with a factory fresh Toyota glass and calibrated my safety tech for the agreed upon deductable. Professional and easy to work with!

Had scheduled appointment for my only off day last thursday. Change plans to get this windshield installed so I can uber over weekend.. welll guess what? They ordered wrong windshield. They said they would call me in couple days to reschedule installation. Well been 1 week and no call. I uber on weekends and now this will be going on for 2 weekends.. costing me alot of money. Worst part is I call them twice today and had to hang up cause no answer!!! 1st time waited 6 minutes on hold...2nd time waited 14 mins and no damn answer!!!!!

Ripp off, prices are very high. Other reputable shops in the area have them beat by 50% or more. Dont trust them!!

After purchasing my first, brand new car, I was really disappointed that a week later, a rock flew thr my windshield. Previously, I didnt even know that there was a company that could come to you to repair it! The representative that came out was reassuring, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. He worked FAST! I think he was done in about 45 min to an hour for a full windshield replacement!
