The people here are always accomodating and proficient. I went in at 1:00pm to pay my car registration. It was surprisingly not busy. I was the fourth person called for DMV matters. This has been a long time coming, and I’m not sure if it’s the agency or the particular agent I was struggling with see the reviews here. I purchased a new vehicle and wanted to take the opportunity to get my separate car insurance from my family. I came to triple A without doing too much research (that was my bad) as my family has been with triple A for years and has had quality service from them. The agent that worked with me was Angelica, and she was helpful in answering my questions about insurance coverage and such as it was my first time doing this. However, the quote she gave me was $3600. I thought it was pricey, but thought that perhaps it was the fact that it was the new car (or even my driving record—-which wasn’t bad) that drove the cost up. She was very certain that this was the lowest price and didn’t advise that I compare prices . I hesitated, but signed regardless as I thought this might be standard and was informed there are discounts for loyalty later on. Again, my parents have been with them and have never complained so I didn’t think I could get “cheated “. I was also told that if I break the contract I would be charged 11% of the annual insurance fee. After I signed the papers and paid the fee upfront, I told some of my coworkers and my parents, who all told me that my car insurance shouldn’t be this high and is more than double the amount their paying for a single car. Next morning, I contacted Geico for a quote and got something much more reasonable like 1750ish. I asked about the non refundable 10% fee and the Geico agent told me that since I got a new insurance within 24 hours, triple A by CA Law has to refund me in full. So I tried contacting Angelica again to cancel. This time…she was not so nice….she was very terse in her language, told me that it was a lot of time (essentially wasting her time), and that I’m still not getting my 10% back. I told her what the geico agent told me but she shot me down quickly. Because I didn’t know how to work the system, I had asked the Geico agent to talk to her in my stead, who was also met with similar challenges and negotiations were unfruitful. We ended up having to contact AAA headquarters to finally get my fees cancelled flat. I might have been too hasty in signing on with AAA but after I got home I realized I wasn’t presented with the best information and felt pretty swindled, which I didn’t appreciate (therefore I didn’t feel bad about backing out of the contract with AAA). Also, I really didn’t appreciate the attitude of a sales agent showing signs of retaliation, she should be aware of that fact that she won’t be able to make every sale and it isn’t uncommon for things to fall through. It seemed very childish and unprofessional the way this agent behaved throughout the whole process and I am thinking of contacting their office to submit this feedback. Moral of the story is: don’t rush into making purchases just because an agent tells you so or just because people you know uses it, always compare prices so you don’t get stuck in the same situation as me.

Expect delays in getting DMV transactions on Mondays and Fridays. Todays delay was one hour for AAA DMV services.
Used to be so much faster and if they would follow CDC guidelines and get rid of all the COVID BS it would be a whole lot better.

Easter Sunday I was coming down to San Diego and I stopped off in San Clemente to fill up and take a break after an hour I got back on my motorcycle and the Battery was dead good thing I have AAA they responded in literally like 5 mins and he got me back on the road with a quick jump.Thank you very much! 👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼

I went in to get Mexican insurance and was blown away by their exorbitant prices. Last year I got a years worth of insurance for about $115. The quote today was for well over $500 for the year. Needless to say, I walked out without getting any insurance.I think they need to find another insurance provider because the one that they picked is not doing the members any favors and is just driving people away. However, thinking about it, its possible that covid-19 made their rates so high because nobody went to Mexico so they couldnt underwrite the cost and theyre just passing that cost on to the customers today.
Avoid if visiting for a DMV renewal. DMV line is shorter and faster. Plus DMV has a bathroom. 25 minutes to register. 1 hour waiting for a text. Then wait inside for another 45 minutes. Restroom? Walk out to supermarket.
They were very responsive to my needs. When I informed the associate that I had waited over three hours for their waiting list the previous day, she saw to it that I was waited.on in a timely manner. I truly appreciate their customer service.

This location is very organized and enforces social distancing protocol. You wait in line to register, they take your name and number and text you when they are ready for you. Once your called in the wait is very short. I was told the wait was 50mins but it ended up being about 30mins total.
I first went to the Chula Vista DMV and saw a long line, so I decided to go to the AAA in Chula vista in an attempt to pick up my license stickers after passing the smog test. I had no documentation with me. The AAA associate Erike (outside the office) took his time to check the DMV system and gave me the correct paperwork, and proceeded to the next station after giving me the spot a 15 minute wait time appointment and waited in my car due to the covid prevention measurements. Erike was kind, understanding, and above all, very professional. Thank You, AAA, for having a very young and experienced employee representing your company.

Now that I switched insurance providers from national general to AAA I feel like a Baller LOL. AAA has given me so much more than my last insurance and didn’t charge me a arm and a leg for it. I don’t know what I was thinking but I should have been with AAA from the very start when you want something good it’s worth the money to get it. When you go for something cheap like national general then you get what you get nothing!
First off I was told my monthly payment before I went with this company, month after month that amount was raised, in all it was raised nearly 100$ Not only that I was in a car accident and there was a 1000 $ deductible, I don’t think that’s right, I mean why do I have insurance than? Now I’m here broke with a huge dent in my car and whip lash.
Been a member of AAA for almost a decade, my family are also members and have been forever. Weve always used this branch and never have a problem. I like ve the DMV services and look forward to planning mybbig trip to Vegas with them!!

This office was amazing in assisting me. I am big on leaving reviews, lately its been more negative than positive, but I am more than happy to give a 5 star for the service I received. I went through the process of registering my out of state vehicle, & had to visit here at minimum 3 times. The first 2 times, Jamie assisted me and she was so friendly, informative, and accommodating. We could use more people like her in customer service capacities. During one visit she went out of her way in between clients, to give water to several people waiting. My last visit, today I was helped by Gabby and she was friendly as well, & made the process faster than I expected. Im so glad I joined AAA for insurance and membership. Great job guys!Thank you.

Service was good, but have to exercise patience with the process given the covid precautions. Very slow to check in, stand in separate lines after check in, somewhat rude customers who do not follow rules well. Once inside and ready to pay for registration it was easy and fast. The staff was knowledgeable and professional. Extremely convenient location and easy to get in and out, but parking is always crowded. Much better solution than going to DMV, worth the membership just for these types of registration payment services.

I have three cars and only two require smog.insp. Then I head straight to AAA and depending on the time it takes to smog, getting registered is way quicker than DMV.

Loved AAA never had a problem but I had too switch because of the pricing, they never were able to bring me down a bit. I was with AAA for almost the 6 years & would have stayed but found a better price that fit me.
Since we are not allowed to make DMV appointment, I found this AAA is facilitated with DMV to process non emergency request.I called them three times, nobody answered the phone. I left a message and looked forward to receiving a call back.Nonetheless, two weeks has passed by, there is nobody calling me back yet....And, I have already renewed my registration by walking in to the DMV.

Terrible experience. Called AAA 800 number and they confirmed I could transfer the registration to my name for a car I just bought. Manager says they dont do that at that branch. Turns out they do, but she lied because she didnt know the correct answer.

I needed a jumpstart. The driver was terse and uncaring in my time of need. I wanted to pay with a credit card but he said cash would be better. I asked how would it be better. I think its just better for him.

Home owner policy issues. Mortgage company called 800 number and was on hold for over 30 min. We called the local branch and experienced a long hold and they transferred to the 800 number. Called the branch back and the female answerer said my agent was not there and the other agents were busy. Asked to speak to the branch manager, she said he was on leave and his replacement was not at the branch. I told her I didnt want to be put on hold any longer and she suggested I call or visit another branch. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have had AAA insurance for our cars and properties for 16 years!! Ridiculous!! STATE FARM is looking really good today.
