Id leave 0 stars if I could. What a poorly ran Auction House. They dont describe damage to items. I bought a sign/light and what I got there the glass had fallen out. I said, this is busted, can I get a discount... it wasnt mentioned in the listing broken. They immediately started giving ME grief about it, called over another person, and then another. So I had 3 people treating me like I was a crook for asking for a little of for the BUSTED sign I paid for. They then said, we can just take it off the bill, fix it and resell it. I said no, I want it but, I should get a little off the bill. They kept fighting with me (the customer). I could have fixed it I think but, they wanted to keep it after I already paid for it. They had no intention of helping me on price, and they he kept saying he could fix it after I said I could. I said no, I will. Again he argued me and wouldnt let me leave with it and said he would fix it. Well, you guessed it. He broke the glass. He gave me my money back+ $10 to cover it. Problem is, I just sold the same sign for $185. Im a antique dealer. The $10 wasnt no where near enough to cover damages. I was so mad at that point I just left. I emailed them to see if he would make it right and cover damages. No response. I will never do business with them again. I buy so much at auctions and there are many more auction sights that arent ran by CROOKS! Dont use them.

It is my addiction. So many amazing and great finds. Personally, I hunt for jewelry and blades for my collections, but theres almost a guarantee that if you collect something, its come through here a few times. Also, a great source for furniture.

After seeing recommendations from other buyers on the NextDoor app, we gave Velvet Cricket a try and have had two great experiences. Not only did we get high-quality items (artwork and housewares) from them at a great price, but the people on staff are wonderful to work with. They are fun, creative and really care about their clients. We had some unexpected events come up, and they went out of their way to accommodate our pickup schedule. We will be regular Cricketeers!

I have bought several pieces from this place for a great price. There is a great mix of items! They are friendly and courteous.

I consigned a lot of items with this company and they brought really good money. It took them a little longer to pay but its understandable with the pandemic going on. Communication could be a little bit better but Im looking forward to doing business with them again in the future.

We consigned a number of items that sold in auctions dating back to December of 2019 through February of 2020. We were trying to raise money for my mother-in-laws’ estate to pay for her nursing home costs. We have, to date, not received any payment. Other than a sob story from the owner communication has been essentially nil. I can not recommend this auction site. Update: After a pointed email and possibly this review, Velvet Cricket sent a check so I am adding two stars.

Not sure how to complete my rating yet. We consigned many of our elderly parents items to their auction months ago but have not received any settlement or check yet despite several inquiries. Will update with developments.Update: Did receive check. They said they were behind because of the pandemic.

Sellers Beware! It appears that many other people are having major issues with them as well. Will be contacting the Ohio Attorney Generals office to file a complaint and launch an investigation! Very disappointing

Decent stuff, but I wish they would combine more of their single items into larger lots--especially jewelry and low end knick knacks...I dont feel like bidding/winning a $5 item and driving all the way there just for that..

I have won 2 items that they listed as Sterling silver with a weight of the items. After winning the items on 2 separate auctions I had them checked out by a 3rd party and was told the items were PLATED and NOT sterling silver.

Sold a $5000 family heirloom by mistake for $500. Told to notify seller before listing, but didnt. They blamed the mistake on a staff member. Told seller they wouldnt be charged a commission for the sale. A shady place with absolutely no integrity.
