Love this place! It’s a cozy watering hole! The peanut butter Porter is one of my all time favorite beers! Plus the Irish stout is the only Irish stout I actually like. It has more body than other Irish stout because apparently they brew it with actual Irish cream! I highly recommend this place! Also, Abby the tap room manager is a delight!
Ive had some really good beers here and Ive had some letdowns. Nothing I would ever classify as horrible but some that I werent particularly well made. They make classic styles but spend a lot of time on trendy beers (lactose IPAs, dessert pastry stouts, barrel aging). But thats why you go back, theyll always have something different.
Certainly one of the more unique breweries in the city. Seemingly your one stop shop for all your pastry and sweet stouts. They have all kinds of fun, wacky, experimental brews and a nice sized taproom. I know previously they had a hot wing challenge, I assume they still do but dont quote me on that. A must try place in town that doesnt just focus on IPAs like a lot of other places
Drove an hour this afternoon to visit the taproom and enjoy a couple of beers with my friends. Unfortunately they were closed and no mention of it online or social media. Could not locate the new location after driving around for another 25 minutes. This brewery is clearly not worth going out of your way to try.
This was my first time coming to Listermanns and it was the most recommended brewery in Cincy by my friends. I was totally blown away not only by their beer, but also by the friendly service we received during our time there. Dillon and Jeff were, by far, the most welcoming bartenders Ive ever experienced and took the time to talk to us about LBCs history and their most popular beers. The beer and mead at Listermanns are FANTASTIC and I will be continuing to recommend their beers to anyone I know going to Cincinnati. They have a ton of choices, so youll be happy no matter if you like stouts, IPAs, lagers, or mead.Do yourself a favor and go to Listermanns!
Some of the very best beer in the country resides here. Abby is a great manager for them and made sure I got my order. The taproom is sublime. A beer mecca.
They have the best variety of beers. I did a flight of berlinner weisse, all of them excellent and true to their descriptions. Good selection of cans to go and they do crowlers.
We visited Listermann while on a work trip in Cincinnati and Im so happy we stopped! The space is small but inviting, with tons of resourceful and knowledgable people willing to answer all beer-related Qs. They have a great variety of IPAs and the beer is awesome. If Im ever in the area again, Ill be stopping!
Beware: Cash doesnt work here (even for tips). Bartender was a little rude about it. If you arent going to accept cash, you probably should make people aware before pouring beers. The beer was decent but the vibe was just off.
Always delicious beer. The younger bartender was less than excited to be there.
Fantastic beer. Great staff that is super helpful and knowledgeable. I have always had a good time and nothing but great beers here. Dont forget to reserve a table online until COVID restrictions end.
Dave was super helpful. I also enjoyed a beer in their pleasant atmosphere.
3.5/5 staff didnt seem to interested in beer conversation were a little stand off ish. Their beer is very good and eventually we found a guy that would talk to us. It was a release day tho it was late afternoon and there was no crowd. Maybe the staff were just having an off day because earlier release?
Ausgezeichnet! Absolutely fabulous! Creative in all their beers beyond imagination... every beer is truly a work of art!I only wish they would use glass exclusively instead of plastic cups.
Loved the flight so much we took home 2 4-packs of our favorite, Franks and Norwood shot Will for sure be back!!!
Great service. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Most importantly, great beer. Cannot recommend enough
Very enjoyable visit. Board games to play with the family, a nice selection of interesting beers to try, and excellent food. Relaxed atmosphere with picnic style tables that allowed us to spread out and play Monopoly while we are and drank. Friendly staff that was happy to answer questions. We tried 8 of the beers on tap and I enjoyed all of them. All around a great place
Great customer service and got me set up with what I needed to begin brewing for a beginner. Good prices too.
The Dunkel was amazing. And well the Fiona beer is always awesome. Shout out to Sea Cuisine food truck for the good food.
My favorite brewery in Cincinnati! I stop here every summer on the way to get my kids from Michigan.
Fantastic Staff & options!! We are going back soon!
Stellar beer. Great Covid-19 safety. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Great beer, but the young lady with long dark hair working behind the bar on 11/21/20 has a TERRIBLE attitude, if she is having a bad day she needs to learn how to leave her feelings at the door and be a professional, she has a lot of learning to do when it comes to business and customer service. May I suggest extra training for your staff. I will not be returning to this brewery.
Great little neighborhood pub/brewery. Good food/wings. Really cool old fashioned bar and pub area. Big dining area with picnic tables.Lots of dark beers. Stouts and porters mostly with flavour variations. Convenient parking/free.Friendly staff.
A must visit in Cincinnati beer scene! They always have new beers to sample with friendly staff. Currently no food in house but can order in.
Great beer. Great people.
Bought a Stave membership this year, totally worth!!! Went to the member party today, first time going to the tap room. Tap room is in an industrial area, felt safe, good options for parking. They had a side room setup for the party. 14 beers on tap and most were barrel aged. 3 hours wasnt enough time to try all 14 but didnt matter. They also had a few lite beers on tap which was nice for a little change.
Great service and atmosphere.
Staff are awesome. The NE DIPA I drank goes by the name Bad Decisions and is worth a try if you like DIPA beers, but want a unique spin on it. To that end, it is very fruity and floral, almost like a sour but with the full body of a DIPA. My personal preference would be a more traditional DIPA with a bit more malt and less fruit, but this is worth trying. Also, the atmosphere is old school, with a single TV in the corner of the bar in order to facilitate more conversation among patrons. This gives the atmosphere a very local and intimate feeling.
Listermanns makes exceptionally high quality beer. They have won awards across the country for their beer and the quality shows. Best beer in Cincinnati.
Great unusual brews! Staff was very attentive and provided recommendations for other breweries in the area. True beer lovers should visit. Cheers! 🍻
Great variety and unique beers. Amazing how great of beers come out of this little place!
I’ve been here twice and both times and both times I enjoyed all the beers I tried, I ate at the grille in the brewery and the food was very good bar food. The low rating is based on the rude bar tender and the cold atmosphere of the brewery. There’s plenty of breweries in Cincinnati with better beer, better food and friendlier staff.
Anytime we travel, my husband and I like to try local brews. I absolutely love sour beers and he loves IPAs, especially cloudy ones. Listermann was great. I tried two delicious sours, Orange Creamcicle and Apricot Lemonade Parade Float. We ended up getting some cans to take back home with us. I was also very pleased with their social distancing efforts. The tables were well spaced. All of the employees also wore masks.
Great place, great food! Friendly staff. I love the atmosphere and the fact that you can carry on a great conversation without screaming! The beer is so good! The flavors are amazing! So many to pick from and love how they list their alcohol content. I also love how you can sample it before you buy it! Id rather sample it than pay for something I dont like. And definitely at Listermanns there is a beer for almost everyone. And wine as well for those winos.
One of my favorite places to pre-game or post-game for Xavier. Really good beers and a great staff.
Really cool bar, nice open area with plenty of seating and garage doors for good weather, plus TVs for sporting events. Oh, and the widest & most delicious variety of beer available in Cincinnati. Best brewpub in the Cincy area.
Great beers and friendly, knowledgeable staff
Was told I couldn’t order a beer because there was a reservation in an hour so they were at capacity. Apparently my money was no good here. Save yourself the drive, their taproom holds about 5 groups with social distancing, less if there’s a “reservation” at any time that day.
They make better beer than I do!
Great Beer making supply store.
Excellent beer & knowledgeable staff
Great beer, nice taproom. Bartenders are friendly. Big garage doors that open when the weather is nice. Outdoor seating along the sidewalk. There are usually people smoking outside but it does not bother me. One of my favorite true craft breweries in Cincinnati.
Fun place, good food, and the beer was beer. We went for a Trivia night and enjoyed it, but the establishment wasnt anything to gloat about. It was fine! And I love how they had board games and things like that, but if the event was at any other place I wouldnt have noticed a difference. That being said its a good time.
This is a brewery that knows what they are doing, but flies under the radar quite a bit. Typically a very solid line up, and they hit it out of the park with this NE IPAs. Also, the Shamrock Shake (Irish cream stout) is killer good. Renegade Eats inside the brewery has really good food. Just be aware of the smaller portions, and the limited menu during some special events.
A little pricey but great beer!
Super friendly/courteous staff at the supply store. Kindly answered all my questions and directed me to the products I needed. Great experience with knowledgeable folks behind the desk, well stocked to meet your needs.
One of my favorite breweries, Cincinnati or otherwise. Great brews and truly wonderful people in the shop and on the brewery and taproom side. I always have a great time when Im there. Also, the water from the sick new machine is delicious!
Great people and great beer. Such a good, positive vibe from everyone there. Really enjoy when Im able to make it in for something, especially their limited releases (which are exceptional).
For those who are unaware, Listermann brews some of the most quality, delicious beers in the city. Just sayin.
Love this place. Great wings and such by Renegade. Beers are over the top good! Best part is I can grab supplies for my next home brew while I am there.
Best craft beer in the city! They have a store for home brewing supplies and offer classes, too. The food at Renegade Grille is pretty awesome! Great wings and burgers.
Very Flavorful Beer!! From traditional to some new gourmet flavors. Downside..bar area is very small. The only menu is as soon as you walk in this is not convenient for those of us that arent locals and college students. Several beers advertised on tap online were in fact not available..this is highly frustrating as well as trying to purchase the chicken to take home (I was buying it and the orange mocha) I was told I couldnt purchase it to take home..the reason being..people buy it and then sell it online for higher prices...so I chose not to buy either..limit the purchases if youre so concerned...I could have not paid for either with as busy as they were..or lied and said I wasnt leaving..all in all the beer is good..slot better than most Cincinnati breweries that their beers taste like piss..so my compliments to the brewmaster..but still highly upset with my experience
Love this place! Always a good selection of beers and probably anything you need to brew your own at the shop in the back. Plenty of room for a large party.
This is one of the best breweries in Cincinnati, hands down. They always have a constant rotation of beers on tap. They are known for their New England IPAs, dark beers, and high gravity beers. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The only thing I would change about this place is having some music on all the time.
Great wings and fries. Unique beer selection and some meads. Many sampled were a little too sweet for my taste but to each their own. Would return for the wings and try to find a beer a little more traditional other than curry, hazelnut, etc flavored.
We had a great afternoon hanging out and playing the games they have. Taptender, though busy, was very attentive. Great beers. Home brew shop attached for those who like to brew at home. Apparently the arcade shotgun game was really fun for some in our group!
The wooden tables and benches are a perfect setting to relax and enjoy their selection of local brews. Try a flight of beers to discover the differences of whats on tap. The Jungle Honey and Leopold were especially refreshing with subtle flavours. A favourite of locals.
Everyone was super friendly, very knowledgeable and gracious. All of my questions were answered, and I had a great time. Highly recommend their on site pub if you want to try some fresh, delicious brews. Bar none the best place to get home brewing equipment or get started in home brewing.
Probably my favorite brewery in Cincinnati. I have been going here since it felt more like a friends basement then a brewery. It has changed a lot since then. Updates, food. But it still has great beer and a great atmosphere.
No longer allows dogs inside.Decent beer selection, but definitely IPA heavy.Large parking lot, but its not well marked.Nice taproom, but it is a little small and can get cramped easily. But they have some fun games available. No A/C.
Good location, didnt get to try many of there beers as they had a tap takeover from an other brewery. Fiona was very good. Should turn down the music so you can speak with your friends.
This place is great!! Even if they dont have it they will order it if for you. Never left there not taken care of.
Satisfied? Is a must drink in the fall season. Great beers, rotating taps, excellent variety. Love this place
First time getting all grain supplies here. Will was extremely helpful and since they were slow he took the time to show me the ropes of gathering all my supplies and milling my grains. Cant wait to brew.
Not Dog friendly inside anymore (and the patio is tiny). Good craft beers with some nice unique flavorings. Great place to get brewing supplies and learn to home brew.
Amazing beers! My favorite brewery. The beers are fantastic, the beertenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Their beer releases are always super smooth. Zach has the absolute best jokes!
Great lineup of beers, wonderful staff. Went there for a brewing class at their brewing supply store. Learned a lot. They all have great wings, burgers and fries. Good beer, food and brewing instructions.
Very good. The Nutcase Peanut Butter Porter was absolutely delicious. If you like Porters and peanut butter...you are in for a real treat.
Great taproom, great beer, and friendly people. The only knock I have on the place is that they dont typically have any boring styles on tap (American Pale Ale, brown ale, etc.), so its NE IPA or flavored stout for 90% of their taps. Theyre extremely well made, but Im not always in the mood for something avant-garde.
Stopped here on a brewery bus tour. Great, fun atmosphere, good variety of beers, accommodating staff. Especially liked the peanut butter beer...yum!!
Listermann is a solid brewery. They generally have a wide range of beers to choose from and they are all pretty good. The grille that is open from Wednesday to Sunday is also really good. I stopped by for lunch and ordered some food and got a flight and everything was great. The beers on tap seem to be reasonably priced, but the canned/bottled beer can be a little too expensive for what it is. Dont get me wrong, sometimes a beer is worth paying $11-$12 for, but I dont think paying that for a 12 ounce bottle by Listermann is the case.Ill most likely stick to the beer on tap and the occasional 4-pack if I find something really great.
The food was good, the guy at the upper bar area couldnt be bothered to serve drinks. So not sure how their beers are. Literally just left 20 min ago to go to another bar and have a few drinks, where we can get service.
Diablo burger and Reuben from Renegade were delicious. 526 Porter and cellar lager hit the spot. Great dinner and beer!
Best place in Cincinnati/Dayton to get home brew supplies. Huge grain supply, grind and bag your own grains, huge hops supply and huge yeast supply. Loads of other beer and wine making supplies. The homebrew store prices are fair. The staff is awesome. They also have a tap room where you can buy beer on tap and take beer or apparel home. I feel like the beer prices are a little on the high side when compared to other breweries that Ive been to. The entire facility is pet friendly, so bring those pooches!
